USA Rugby Registration Changes - Good News!

Hey Everyone!

It's that time of year that we all need to register with USA Rugby. Last year, registration (CIPP), was $65 which included a $20 fee that went directly to PACCoast Rugby. Well, PACCoast is no more. USA Rugby has changed the structure of the nation's rugby (there's 4 regions now) and restructured the dues to include accident insurance. This accident insurance is in addition to any coverage you may already have, and it too complicated for me to explain in a blog post. Talk to Chewey about it or try to find the info yourself on the USA Rugby website (I don't know what is or isn't up there, so good luck).

The new USA Rugby registration fee is only $45 this year. Get yourself registered ASAP -- your current registration expires Aug 31.

Your club dues are also coming up soon, so keep that in mind. Men's 15s training begins Aug 23rd at Pendergast. Our first match is Sept. 17!

Aside from the normal presentations and elections we will be having some discussion regarding the direction and future of the club. Our annual Fishbowl tournament, the acquisition of a trailer and next years’ goals are some of the things on the docket. Also, the club is picking up the tab on

Since Battleground is unable to field a side on Saturday we have made changes to the final Kick Off times.

Saturday at Rainier Vista:

9:00 AM - Match 1: Budd Bay vs Kitsap

11:00 AM - Match 2: Portland vs ORSU (Loser will be 7th place)

1:00 PM - Match 3: Eugene vs Quake

3:00 PM - Match 4: Corvallis vs Quake B

Sunday at the RAC:
9:00 AM - Winners of Match 2 vs Corvallis (5th & 6th Place)
11:00 AM - Losers of Match 1 and 3 (3rd & 4th Place)

11:30 AM - Checkin for Championship match
1:00 PM - Winners of Match 1 and 3 (Championship - 1st & 2nd Place)
