…I have two things in common with these kitties. Can you guess?! hehe…alright, alright …we are pregnant and have been suffering with insane fatigue. I might as well announce it on my blog, plus it makes for an excellent excuse for my utter slackness. I am 13 weeks pregged. I think I am finally starting to get over my crazy, ridiculous need for numerous naps a day phase, of the first trimester. I have to be thankful for no morning sickness. I would of been wreck otherwise.

So ya, that’s that. My husband and I are pretty excited. We have been through many emotions from scared poopless to happy as a clam. I think that’s normal.

Baby is due December 26. 0_0
Should be quite the time around Christmas. We are moving to Prince Edward Island for September, which is 14+ hours away from here, so we can be closer to family, etc. I was born there and want to go back. SO excited, it is so beautiful there. I am just glad I am starting to get my energy back, so cleaning and packing won’t be so difficult. So lots of crazy changes ahead. I will be in and out when I can!

Ode to the Butterfly

…I don’t know if I’m just losing it, but this spring seems to have bred an outright explosion of butterflies. Last week I would be driving and literally passing by hundreds of thousands of butterflies along my route, going every which way. They took over, and Man it was lovely. I never recall in all my springs ever seeing this many. Maybe I have become more observant with age?! And this is just a really normal spring thing. Has anyone else noticed this where they live?

…I adore seeing them, their colors and designs are so insanley beautiful, and there is something inexplicably inspiring about these flamboyant winged insects. I am really enjoying Spring. I think officially this year I am declaring it my favorite season. Between the birds, the bees, the butterflies and all the plants and flowers coming to life- it’s amazing and it feels good to be alive.

… sorry kitties, but I hope you were unsuccessful in your hunt. ;)

…just letting you know I have not abandoned the blog. I bought a new dslr and a couple of lenses and am concentrating on learning and am slightly obsessing over that at the moment. I have had a rare to none internet presence besides that lately, even facebook- gosh.

They are hilarious. They take the best cat videos out there and translate them into french. Go to their youtube page for more french kitty hilarity. the commentary kills me. be sure to follow the subtitles below the video. This one is my favorites and made me literally laugh out LOUD.

…while cruising the net this afternoon, I by chance landed on this cool website for independent artists & photographers. There is oodles of great artwork and you could spend way too long perusing. The prices are super reasonable too, and of course it is the absolute best to support artists whenever you can. What a boring world it would be without them. Of course I had to enter “cats” into the website’s search engine. Here are a few of my favs…

Kitt, the funniest little girl in the land.

…my niece, along with my sister (her mother), my mom and pops came to visit me last weekend. They drove 14 hours just to visit me…and I enjoyed every second. I adore my little niece Kitt soo much. She is pure sunshine. And an insane amount of Fun. I had a complete ball taking photos of her all weekend long. She gets extremely animated and hilarious as you can see. I took a bazillion, but just thought I would share a few. Turtles make an appearance in a few of them too. The kitties seemed to enjoy Kitt also, they seemed pretty intrigued at times, but often kept their distance staring from afar, not being used to the energy of a child. She LOVES ‘Kitty Cats’ almost as much as me. ;) Kitt is the type of kid that makes you consider having children. Just love her.

This group of friends from Seattle started a company called Pillowmob, with which you can custom design pillows with your own faces, friends, family, your pets, or whatever you have always wanted to see on a pillow. All for a Super reasonable price. What a wicked gift idea. I love it!!! Check them out. I NEED to get pillows of the fur-kids “Turtles” and “Tuna”…for some reason the thought of throwing a pillow and watching it sail through their air with their head on it cracks me up hard. I must. Check out their site for more.

…I am a huge fan of huskies, definitely being my 2nd top favorite breed. They are insanely beautiful creatures in my books. I love how close to the original ‘dog’ they are…so close to being wolf. All of the ones I have ever met are hilarious too, they ooooze with personality and are so vocal and saucy. And those eyes. *melt*

…At my work we have a few huskies, and in this cold, they want to be outside- the colder, the better. It’s so hilarious when they get howling at work, and everyone joins in but they aren’t naturals like the huskies so they look ridiculous..hahaha. It’s too funny. I want to see if I can record it sometime. They also looove to dig holes in the snow, and could be out all day digging. It’s so cute. I love when dogs do traditional dog things, I get a real kick out of it.

…I am so tempted if when I get a dog to get a husky, maybe not purebred, but a mix with mostly husky. They are extremely active dogs and need TONS of excercise, that is why a lot of people bring them to doggy daycares as often times people don’t have a lot of time during the work week to take them on long walks. (If most people brought their crazy, out of control dogs to daycares a couple times of week, there wouldn’t be so many dogs in the animal shelters)

…Are any of you husky fans? or own them? I wish I had one to snuggle right now, although I don’t think my cats would appreciate that very much. ;)

…these cats TOTALLY have the idea. It is extremely Brrrr…where we live right now. Tons of ice, snow and much more to come. Indoors is the place to be. And I wish I had a fireplace because that would make it all the more cozy. Not a huge fan of winter, but love the coziness factor of being home. Super Good excuse to be a homebody. :P
