Mummy and Daddy like to play cards. They sit around the round table and play a game called Magic The Gathering.

I like them playing cards. They have dice that I can kick around!

I like to sit on the table and make sure they are playing fair. I cheer on Daddy as he usually wins the game! Here's me with Mummy and Daddy. The game can be quite intense at times but they always have a laugh!

Finally, Mummy has realised why I get so upset and wee on the bed every so often - see yesterday's post!

Hopefully I won't have to worry going about my business in such a stinky litter tray! Still it does surprise me that some Kitizens have to put up with smelly trays for a lot longer than My Dear Xanthe and Me... Feel free to visit anytime!

Smelly Litter Tray...

I was reading an article in Your Cat Magazine, November 2011 edition. The article was call "Lost in translation" by Vicky Halls. I learnt that a cat's sense of smell is 14 times stronger than that of a human being.

I got the follow image of Nishiko...

Nishi walks over to the litter tray and takes a sniff... "Ducking Hell! This is stinky, really stinky and so dirty. Mummy and Daddy need to clean this more often because I can't use this!"... Nishi gets so frustrated because of the pong from the dirty litter tray that she goes ahead and does the one thing that she thinks will tell Mummy and Daddy that she is unhappy... I the middle of the night she creeps into the bedroom and jumps on the bed. She squats... Mummy feels a wet puddle soaking into her night clothes and onto her skin. She jumps with a screams. Nishiko has wet on the bed!

Changing a cat's litter tray is not a pleasant thing as most peeps know too well. Don and I will tend to do a complete litter change every 2 days - I know this is not great and I feel so guilty about it, and the stench is unbearable. After reading Vicky's article I think I'm putting the girls through a lot worse than previously imagined and will now endeavout to change their tray every day from today.

Loving Daddy's Tummy Scritches!

Daddy gives the better tummy scritches ever! The following picture was taken when Daddy and Mummy had to move the bed into the living room because an army of ants had invaded the bedroom. Mummy and Daddy are back sleeping in the bedroom now as the ant army left.

Well Mummy has been really busy lately... She has started a new job looking after old people and has been trying to get used to the tiredness she feels when she gets home. She has been too tired to do our blog. My Dear Xanthe and I understood this and said we'll give her some time ot get used to the tiredness. We said she could have a couple of weeks off... But it's been more than that and now we're nudging Mummy to get back into the flow of writing our posts for us.

As an apology she made us a new banner! This was the old one...

And this is our brand new one which is shown bigger at the top of our blog!

Competition Update

OMC! We've had a bit of a problem with the Friday-Ads Favourite Pet Competition! Mummy was very angry and refused to show us the photos until it had been sorted out.

What happened is that they had put two photos of My Dear Xanthe in Mummy's paper last week, instead of one of Me and one of My Dear Xanthe...

This was My Dear Xanthe's photo for last week:

As you can see it is My Dear Xanthe in a different pose! I was very upset when Mummy showed Me. But then Mummy sorted it out with the Professional Photographer and they reprinted the correct photos in Mummy's paper today...

I'm back in the Competition now! I don't understand how they couldn't tell the difference between My Dear Xanthe and Me. Even though we are sisfurs, we are nothing alike!

So as they have made a big mistake with my photos, I think we should spam the voting page! What do you think?

My Dear Xanthe and Me would like to say thank you to all kitizens who wish us a Happy Birthdays and to all those who came to our Birthday Party and helped us to trash the house due to the fact that Mummy and Daddy went away to some place called Belgium!

There was only one area of the house that My Dear Xanthe and Me decided to cordon off and that is our Daddy's precious books...

Daddy reads a lot of books and My Dear Xanthe and Me know how important it is to keep them in good condition...

Mummy and Daddy will be coming home tonight with Daddy's Mummy, we can't wait to see them and give them a good telling off!

It's Our Birthdays!

It's our Birthdays todays! As Mummy and Daddy have left us all alone for the next couple of days and are missing our Birthdays, we have come to a joint decision to invite all kitizens to our open house party today until late!

We've never had a Birthday Party before so this is the perfect time to invite you all to trash the house as payback to Mummy and Daddy for going away!

We have lots of toys and food and treats. Come join us in openning the kitchen cupboards and eating all the food, let's knock over the bin and make a mess, let's get into the bedroom and leave nasties on the bed covers! We have lots of places to climb and play. Bring your nip and help us celebrate our Birthdays and trash the house!!!

How dare they!!!

Mummy and Daddy have gone away for the weekend with Daddy's Mummy to some play call Belgium! We are sooo upset as tomorrow is our birthdays! How dare they!

Mummy has not been able to post our photos from the Friday-Ad paper for the Favourite pet competition. She told us that she will do it as soon as she gets back from her 'holiday'!

Mummy's brother Tom will be checking in on us, cleaning the litter trays and feeding us our meat. But we are still very upset that Mummy and Daddy will not be here tomorrow!

We have a Visitor!

We have a visitor for the next few days! It's Daddy's Mummy! Here's a photo of Daddy with his Mummy. They went for a walk along the see...

I think Daddy has secretly missed his Mummy. I know that I would miss Daddy if I lived far away from him. Here is another photo of Daddy with his Mummy, it looks like they are having a lot of fun...

We missed Daddy's Mummy too. Nishiko and Me fell asleep with Daddy's Mummy when we were living in our old house, when we were kittens...

Weekend Royalty and Rememberance

Mummy has been busy this weekend and has not had time to post. We have been busy too! Sleeping, eating, more sleeping, running around for 5 minutes, cuddling and more eating. OMC I better go sleep again! MOL...

I even dissappeared for a few hours, I escaped through an open window in the bedroom. I came back to find Mummy and Daddy both looking for me in the communial gardens. Nishiko is angry with me as apparently I smell funny! Well that's what you get from exploring among bushes and flowers and trees.

Yesterday Mummy went to her Nanny's for a Tart and Tiara's Party in celebration of a Royal Wedding. She came back home feeling ill as she had eaten too many Tarts! MOL... Nishiko and Me asked what the Royal Wedding was and she explained to us that a Prince William was getting married to a Duchess, they are to be the future King and Queen of England.

Nishiko and Me were a little confused as we thought we were Queens too. Mummy said that we are different Queens. All female kitizens are Queens and in her opinion we are more important than human Queens. She explained to us that kitizens were worshipped thousands of years before the King and Queens of England!

So she did these two pictures of Nishiko and Me wearing Crowns to show us how beautiful we would look wearing them...

This weekend the Cat Blogosphere are holding a Weekend of Rememberance to remember all Kitizens that have crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. It is being hosted by Kashim, Othello and Salome at Three Tabby Cats in Vienna.

We light a candle on our blog in honour of all Kitizens that have crossed to the bridge, from the tournado in America to the big shake and wave in Japan. We would also like to take a moment to think of Sweet Praline who crossed over the Rainbow Bridge last week.

Wordy Wednesday - National Pet Month Part 4

From 2 April to 2 May 2011, thousands of people in the UK will be celebrating life with their pets. Why? Because it is National Pet Month! A fantastic month for cats, dogs and other little furry animals everywhere!

For my last installment this month to celebrate my life with my girls and to promote National Pet Month I thought I'd go through the second 5 top 10 tips for healthy happy pets this week, to see if I'm doing things right. So...

6. Protect against disease. Your vet can provide you with advice. >>> No problems, Nishiko and Xanthe have an annual check up and vaccines ever August! Check!

7. Prevent unwanted litters and neuter you pet when appropriate. >>> Well as most of you know already, the girls have had their Ladygardenectomy in March of this year... I'm doing good! Check!

8. Groom your pet regularly. >>> Nishiko adores being groomed with a brush. Xanthe on the other hand is more reluctant so plenty of strokes is required to get rid of unwanted fur around the house. she loves it! Check...

9. control your pet and ensure it is properly identified. >>> The girls are mainly indoor kitizens and will only go outside with their harnesses on. Mind you make sure that your pets are micro chipped just in case they escape. Unfortunately I have failed this important point as the girls have yet to be microchipped... Must get this down later in the year...

10. Take out pet insurance for dogs, cats, rabbits and horses to cover against unexpected veterinary fees and third party liability... Oh no! I must get some insurance! This is my second fail :(

Photo Shoot

Today we had to go to a professional photographer to have our photos taken professionally and not by Mummy so that we can enter a pet competition which will take place in May.

Nishiko was very excited and kept waking Mummy up early this morning, although when we got there she went all shy and kept following Mummy around the photo shoot room.

I was ok. Mummy warmed me up for the photo shoot this morning by taking these pictures:

Aren't I purrfect? Mind you at the professional photograph I fouond the flash lights rather off putting and started hissing at them.
