I've been collecting Bill Bryson's books - both print and audio - for years.

I've managed to accrue an almost complete list, but have been mightily disappointed that he did not narrate some either because he didn't want to or because he wrote a few books before he was popular.

Bill Bryson - A Short History of Nearly Everything
Bill Bryson - A Walk in the Woods - Rediscovering America on the Appalachian Trail
Bill Bryson - At Home - A Short History of Private Life [Unabridged]
Bill Bryson - Bill Bryson's African Diary
Bill Bryson - I'm a Stranger Here Myself (US) (abridged) Notes from a Big Country (UK)
Bill Bryson - In a Sunburned Country (US) - Down Under (UK)
Bill Bryson - Journeys In English
Bill Bryson - Neither Here Nor There
Bill Bryson - Notes from a Small Island
Bill Bryson - One Summer - America, 1927
Bill Bryson - Shakespeare - The World as Stage
Bill Bryson - The Bill Bryson BBC Radio Collection
Bill Bryson - The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid -Travels Through My Childhood
Bill Bryson - The Secret History of Christmas

The other books have usually been narrated either by Kerry Shale or Nathan Osgood.

E.g.:
NOT Bill Bryson - The Mother Tongue
NOT Bill Bryson - Icons of England (Edited by Bill Bryson)
NOT Bill Bryson - The Road to Little Dribbling
NOT Bill Bryson - The Lost Continent

Ping me if you want to know more. :-)

I’m glad my one truly first-rate journalism student remains such a truly first-rate person. Wishing you the same health and happiness I have found.

If you haven’t read them yet, two book recommendations:

Islands of Abandonment by Cal Flynn
A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles

I swear, everyone I know has more books than they will ever read. There's no shame in it. Rather than not take any more in, I've become a lot more aggressive about removing them from the house when I'm done with them. It's the rare book that gains a permanent home on my shelves these days. Even ones I really loved, I try to move along quickly to another home: gifts to friends, deposits in little free libraries, donations to the thrift store or library book sale.

Awww, so happy to hear you have another dog in the house. Personally I can't bear the hole they leave when they're gone. Ours are both 13, & I'm filled with dread at the thought of losing them.
Thanks for taking away my shame about buying books & not reading them. I still believe I might.
Good luck with Elwood (love that name!). He looks like a real doll!
Wishing you & Phil - & Elwood - the best of health. To

One of these snowmen - the happy guy with spectacles, blue hat and pink scarf in photo #13 - has a name, Jerry, shouted to me by one of the kids across the street as I took his photo. Not knowing that, friend E, on Facebook, provided names for every snowman in the gallery, and graciously allowed me to share them here. "They called out for names," she told me:
