Sandra, the owner of SilverWear, was a joy to work with. She approached me needing a new web design for her online store, justperfectjewelry.com. After talking with her, I realized she not only wanted a new and fresh design, but she also need functionality on her side of the website. She couldn’t add products, change the price of the products, or do anything. With her new site, she is now able to add products, add images, have a powerful e-commerce platform, and so much more!

The design part was fun. She gave me a lot of freedom. She said that she wanted the site to have a classy feel, but not intimidating. She said she like greens and blues, and loved the cursive font. As you can tell there are some similar elements to the site before, but her new site is fresh, professional, and inviting.

Hillgrove High School is right around the corner, and they have a stellar band program! At the beginning of the school year, they wanted to create a website for their spirit wear collection. With an online store it made it easier for parents, students, and out of town relatives to shop online for HHS band spirit wear. Guess who is in charge of the spirit wear and embroidery? None other than Miss Lucy’s Monograms. Miss Lucy’s Monograms loved BigCommerce, and they wanted it to be the platform of this store as well. I think they are the sharpest band kids out there with their spiritwear… not to mention they have a pretty sharp website too!

This was a very fun site to do. Mary Jarvis, at Merry Murals, needed a site to showcase the murals she has painted around the Atlanta are. She is very talented, and her murals bring rooms to life. She needed a way to have an image gallery, and really wanted a simple and small website. She didn’t need all the bells and whistles, but wanted to make sure it showcased her work in a fun and professional way. I also created her logo and business card, which was also a fun process.

Miss Lucy’s Monograms started as a new company started by Debbie in August 2009. The company is named after their tooooo cute adopted poodle-mix puppy, Lucy. In the beginning, Miss Lucy’s Monograms started out with a plain HTML and CSS site, but they were not able to add products, change prices, change monogramming options themselves.

In January 2010, I moved Miss Lucy’s onto BigCommerce, and e-commerce platform. Now, they are able to add products, change prices, have a lot of monogramming options, coupon codes, and more! Not only did Miss Lucy’s need a new website,but I also created their logo and business card.

I have been working closely with Miss Lucy’s in creating email campaigns with MailChimp. Working together we create fancy emails with coupon codes featuring certain products in an effort to drive traffic to Miss Lucy’s site and increase sales. Once you go to this site, you can’t help but want everything! Believe me.

I’ve talked about starting a freelance business for a while now, and it’s very exciting that I have officially started! I love being able to use my knowledge and skills to help small business grow. When talking with clients, I see so many possibilities for their business. Through Klick!
