How to become Linkedin celeb

I was talking to my wife and telling her about how many appearances I get per week now on Linkedin and she told me that I have become a LinkedIn celebrity, funny.

Today I looked at my stat on LinkedIn and this picture came on:

What this shows is number of times I have appeared in searches per week on Linkedin and last week was my all time high with 1976 times appeared in search and that is a quite a lot from this picture in late 2011:

The breaking point came in late September 2011 when I went from 438 times to about 916 times in mid October 2011. If we take the starting point 438 and look at the current one 1976 times, we are talking about 351 % increases in searches and this happen in just about 3 months.

So how did I do this, it is not such a big secret and everyone can do it them self.

Improve your profile: think of your key words 3 -5 words
Join groups, up to 50. Be sure to turn of the email notification that you receive from them so you will not be swamped with emails.
Start discussion in groups or comment on others
Start your own group that you can control and be the manager

If you are worried that LinkedIn will take too much of your time, dont worry. Allocate a certain amount of time per day or some days within the week to use for LinkedIn.

So people might ask them self, what is the point with all this. Well I tell you with LinkedIn you can find suppliers for your business needs and you can find customers and the best of all the customers can find you.

I have used LinkedIn to find suppliers within logistics, but I have also found customers through LinkedIn and some customers have found me.

The new breed of transport buyer

We have done this like this for a long time and it works and we are fine with it. This is truth today we do things over and over like we have done the past 10 or 15 years. The most common method of getting quotes for transport is by email. You send out email to all your contact and if you dont have enough contacts you just have to do with what you have. Tuff luck.

Well the times has changed, we have for some while gotten newer technology and methods on how to communicate and reach wider audience. Now it is possible to reach more contact even if we have never meet them or heard of them, how? We have such platform as Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter. There we have all the information we need, the trick is how to look for the information we need. This take some time to get use to and be good at.

So what is this new breed of transport buyer, well I will tell you it is those who utilize the social media platform such as Twitter, Linkedin and Facebook. I consider me being one of the new breed. Therefore I can tell you from my experience. When a customer or a potential customer of mine ask for price or quote for transport in places that I have not been operating I use Linkedin to find potential suppliers and find a way of getting in contact with them. Even if I have been using certain transport companies for transporting I often put the freight out on Twitter to see if I get some reaction. I have not used Facebook so much, but I believe that there are huge value of using Facebook for business if done correctly.

If you are in some groups on Linkedin such as Supply Chain Managment: we who love logistics you can post your transport request. However you have to formulate the discussion in such a way that transport companies can understand, just basic info.

The industry need to adapt to those changes, many are doing so and that is great. But the majority is left behind still using the same old meathod.

How to find your supplier via Linkedin?

It is easier than you think, and the best of all you can do it for free without spending too long time trying to google (something that I have tried before).
For those who don't have enough connection or perhaps not the right kind of connections this is can be done also. Of course if you have the right connection such in when I am looking for suppliers or service providers within logistics I first check my connection and the sector. In this case "Logistics and Supply chain" and fill the country also just to see whom I could contact.

But if you are lacking contacts then the solution for you is groups. The best thing with groups is that once you are member of a group you can contact all group members even if you are not connected with them.
The best way is to go into "advance search" on the top right corner where you can make you search fit your criteria.

Say for example you are looking for company in The Netherlands within the logistics field and you would like to talk to a sales manager.

How to do it, just put "sales manager" as a keyword, choose Neatherlands in the location and choose Logistics and Supply Chain in the industry box. Then to make sure that you get people that you can get in contact without worring of being connected you just tick "Group members". Finally you hit the search buttom on the page and boom you get a list of contact whom you see what group you are connected with them.

The last part of getting in contact with them is to go to the group that you are in togehter find the person (print out the search result) under the members of the group and simply get in contact with the person.

This method I have done myself and have been proven good and worked quite well.

Kan man öka sin export på billigare sätt?

Som exportföretag vill man alltid kunna öka sina exporter, om det är av varor eller tjänster. Men det betyder oftast att man behöver lägga stora pengar på marknadsföring i det landet eller använda experter som skulle kunna hjälpa.
Jag fick en ide om helgen, skulle man inte kunna göra det på billigare sätt med hjälp av utlänndningar i Sverige. Detta koncept fins redan som Kosmopolitian och via Siffek, men händer det så mycket. Inte riktigt och det är väldigt dyrt att försöka bli stor på exportmarknad.
Därför tänkte jag hur två eller flera företag skulle kunna jobba tillsamans för att förbättra sin situation. Ta exempel mig, jag är från Island och gör affärer med Islänska företag iform av transporter för deras gods från leverantörer från Europa till Island. Igenom tiden har jag skapat mig kunnskap om vad dessa företag köper in och oftast är det mat, godis, chips och andra detaljhandels varor. Nu har jag skapat mig kontakter med över 30 inköpschefer på olika företag på Island, skulle det inte vara värt för Svenskt företag som vill exportera eller öka sin export?

Can container transport be made greener?

Get Out the WD-40 and Oil up Your Supply Chain

Business leaders looking for innovative ways to cut supply chain costs should consider the S.M.A.R.T. goals performance and productivity related case studies. WD-40 is an excellent example of a company that has experienced highly successful results with the application of S.M.A.R.T. goals. When looking to increase the efficiency of a supply chain, consider these tips inspired from the WD-40 case study.

1. Be Specific

When it comes to supply chain management, implementing specific review goals starts with communication across all constituents so that the goals you set resonate with teams and company wide profitability goals. Having each individual employee agree to meaningful goals that promote accountability and responsibility builds powerful company-wide synergy. Quarterly progress monitoring and in depth yearly reviews should reflect the company wide vision for growth, mission statement, and strategic long-term planning. In supply chain management this translates into increased efficiency, waste reduction, communication, and profitability.

2. Be Motivational

When planning for quarterly and year-long reviews, it is important that employees feel that managers are motivational, mentoring, and empathetic toward the individual goal achievement process. At times, it is appropriate to adjust goals to reflect new developments. Other times, it is important to be regularly present in a mentoring capacity, especially if the employee has recently transitioned to a new position or the company culture is in the midst of change. Consistency in coaching is an important factor in success rates. Maintain communication that is positive and goal focused.

3. Set Attainable goals

Efficiency and cost reduction goals in your supply chain involve many facets that overlap with suppliers and multiple vendors. When setting performance goals with employees, be sure that the goals are moderately challenging, but overall attainable. Well constructed goals drive motivation and should be a positive forward driving force in employee job satisfaction. Frustrating goals are counter-productive and often reflect a lack of precise communication. Relationships with suppliers require frequent and skilled communication. Goals should reflect improvements in quality and accountability both in direct product line and in the communication that supports it.

4. Make it Relevant

One of the lessons learned in the WD-40 case study is that “80% of what you want your people to accomplish comes from 20% of the activities focused on.” For supply chain managers, this means encouraging individuals to focus goals and attention on efforts that directly support cost saving strategies, increased efficiency, and more targeted communication skills. Communication is key to a successful and efficient supply chain, so be sure that the 3-5 goals that an employee sets reflect the entire landscape of his or her job description, as well as goals that support overall team efforts.

5. Get Traction

Assuring that goals can be documented, tracked, and shared is vital to an overall successful application of S.M.A.R.T. goals. A well developed plan will precisely reflect an employee’s specific goals, will be aligned with accurate job descriptions, will take a streamlined approach toward job performance, will motivate the employees, and will give company wide profitability goals increased traction and stamina. Tracking and sharing the process and results of groups who are more proficient than others in both meeting and exceeding goals can assist other groups. Taking time to reward your most successful groups as part of their review processes is important. It is easy to concentrate limited time and energy on groups that need redirection and more focus, but celebrating the successes builds unity across groups and boosts forward momentum.

When applying S.M.A.R.T. goals in a supply chain setting, it is important to look at the success of other companies, like the strong case study of WD-40. Carefully constructing an employee review process that promotes self-reflection within the larger context of meeting company goals builds cohesion throughout the entire organization. Consistently implementing a review process across all levels of the company builds momentum toward supply chain management goals of efficiency, waste reduction, and increased profitability. Encouraging communication between all levels of the company, adjusting goals when necessary and tracking progress are all practices that drive success. Whether your supply chain is large or small, the implementation of S.M.A.R.T. goals can offer a framework for increased efficiency, growth, and success just as it did for industry leader WD-40.

How to increase your profit with better logistics

How is it possible to do that and is it worth it? Well I will tell you it is better to do something than doing nothing.
Here are some tips on what you can do when it comes down to your trnsportation cost:
1. Get closer to the truck: less cost
2. Do a anual tender for your transport: to keep up preasure on your transport supplier.
3. Dont use just one supplier: risk of being too dependent

By doing this you might see a in rease in your profit soon.

Pay for it or get it for free?

If we have to choose to pay for it or get it for free, most of us would choose to get it for free. But getting things for free can mean getting worse or less quality of the same thing, in this case information. I know how hard it can be sometimes to find suitable information about supplier (for me I am referring to logistics provider). First of all where to search and how to search. In the early days I used to use Google very much to try to find proper suppliers, but that took a very long time.

The alternative is to go to a site that is focusing on Logistics, but then the problem comes that if you are searching for providers not only in your home country also in other countries then you have to find similar sites in other countries and often they are in diffrent language, so that creates a problem.

Then I found out things like Timocom and Trans.eu those two sites are freight exchange and contain a lot of information about companies and what they do and what they can do, in what countries they are opperating and so on. Really good info but the bad thing is you have to pay for this service and that on a monthly basis. It varies from 120 € - 200 € per month so on a early basis it is around 1.440 2.400 € depending on what package you purchase. I have tried myself those two products, but have found that they are not suitable for me, plus I do not want to pay for something that I might get for free.

My next focus was then Linkedin, with over 120 million user I thought to myself that here there must be possibilities to find suppliers. I was correct by joining group I found that I could get access to much more people than I had in my own network. I understood that I could save myself many years of working up my contact by simply joining Linkedin and starting using it as a work tool, not as some fun thing to do. I have gotten in contact with several suppliers that I use by starting out a conversation on Linkedin. So I strongly recommend that people use Linkedin to search for possible suppliers and I can say that there are tremendous possibilities out there.

One tip when it comes to Linkedin searching, when you want to look for a person with for example the name David and living in Sweden. What you can do is when typing in the name David in the search field you put after the name the sign | and then you can type Sweden. By this LI will search for David in Sweden. I really use it a lot.

Environmental supply chain or?

Today 3rd of November I was doing personally some environmental transport and the funny thing I was actually doing it my self, instead of letting other people do it for me. What I was doing was trying to get used bed to my new house, where I am moving. Here in Donsö outside Göteborg, Sweden cars are not allowed except if you really need it for your business (contractors). So no personal cars are not allowed here so most of the folks living here (ca 1400 people living) have golfcars (electric car) and that is really good. We have clean air, low pollution, low congestion etc. This is really good thing to have.
Now to my story today, I was out trying to transport couple beds from the neighbour island (there is a bridge between those islands), but being new to golfcar I did not charge the car enough and also I had this thing behind the car to put the beds on (forgott the word). But suddenly my car was running out of power in the middle of the way. So I thought to myself that now I am stranded, but after several call I could find help. This help was not environmental, it was a fourwheeler. However the fourwheeler is very powerful and is perfect to tow many things. So it came down that I was towed back from the other island (Styrsö) to my island and the conclusion is that I will need go later to get the bed, but then I will be using a normal pickup car.
So going from environmental transport I did go to traditional transport.

My conclusion is that we need to combine environmental transport with tradional transport. Especially when the power of the car that are electricty are not sufficient (or someone forget to charge it )

Now it is time for the shipping to shape up

Few weeks ago I had the opportunity to meet up with Anders Höfnell who is Lead Client Manager at Lloyd´s Register in Göteborg, Sweden. We met over lunch and had really nice discussion about what is coming for the shipping industry here in Scandinavia.

Finally the shipping industry is getting aboard with the other transport modes in terms of going green. Where I am living in Donsö, Sweden we have about 12 shipping companies here almost all in transport of oil or supplies. Most of them are operating in the Nordic sea or the Baltic sea and soon they will be affected with some serious change. According to mr.Höfnell IMO has implemented a strategy to reduce emission from ships and what is going to happen in 2015 is that the amount of sulphur in the fuel can not be more then 0,1% for ships sailing in the Nordic and the Baltic sea. What does that mean, this means that either ships use diesel fuel or alternative technology (not fully established yet) for sailing in those area. To the bottom line this means higher cost of transport since diesel cost more then bunker oil.

Well I know that the shipping market is not so good and this is something that shipping companies are not looking forward to, that I can understand. Just imagine that they would have to install catalys in each vessel in order to lower their emission and the cost of doing that is high.

Have you used Linkedin for your business

Have you been thinking what is the purpose with being on Linkedin, many of people that are there have simply just registered and then done nothing more with their account. But if you want to be found or find others then you have to be active. It is not only about getting so and so many contacts, ofcourse it is good to have a sizable network, but there are other ways of getting in contact with people, the real decision makers within each company. This shortcut is called groups, because if you are a member of a group you can contact everyone who is member without been 1st contact.
Have you looked at the number of times you have been seen in searches or how many people have been looking at you profile. By looking at who is looking at your profile you can send that person a message and how know prehaps that will lead to something. At least it is worth trying.

My advice is to be active and post or comment in groups 2 or 3 times per week, because then you will show up on their profile, also if you want to recommend someone that is also good because then your name will show up on their profile (cool).

Is it wise to use the same forwarder/carrier always?

After finding a good forwarder/carrier many companies tend to not do any changes for longer period. And often the the role changes from being the forwarder/carrier flirting with the customer to get business, to the situation that the customer is flirting with the forwarder/carrier to get things moving.

And often the forwarder/carrier can just push price increase on the customer, who accept the increase because he is comfortable with his current forwarder/carrier.

Reviews of forwarder/carriers needs to be reviewed at least every 3rd year or no more than every 5 years. Meaning taking the whole transportation need of the company and make a RFQ for it to see what other possiblity is out there. Then on the other hand the current forwarder/carrier could be the one who is supplying the best service to the best price.

My advice is to give it at least a go and see if the situation is a good as it feels.

Instead of doing it yourself, contact expert in the field that might help you and guide you correctly.

How to puff up your Linkedin profile

I am just so wired up about Linkedin, I really want to use it more that I have been doing before. Not just sit and wait for some one to contact you, be more proactive. A week ago I was listening like usual to Rock the world with Linkedin and Lori and Mike talked about Profit by linkedin and I took a look into the site. After just signing up to free tips about how to generate revenue or improve your profile.
After a short time I received email and Linkedin invite from Carol Smith who is running the site. Carol gave me some really good pointers and I got to talk to her via skype.
I am looking forward to making the changes and see how high I will rank.

I have been for the last few days listening to radioshow called Rock the world with Linkedin, with Mike O´Neil and Lori Ruff. They are talking about cool stuff concerning Linkedin and how to get better on Linkedin. In the last few days I have gotten so much better in searching, looking at the right shares and giving like or comments on other posting. As well as when listening to Mike and Lori I get so much new info every time and often they are interviewing someone and usually that person has some amazing stuff and I just go on the site because it is so interesting.
I have recently decided to start podcasting, mainly due to the fact that I have been listening to Rock the world with Linkedin on Webmasteradio.com.

New start again of the blogg

Well it has been a while since my last post here. Now I want to start again, focusing on logistics and transportation, especially that concern the Scandinavian countries. Even though Scandinavia is only 3 countries I want to include all 5 of them: Iceland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.

My goal is to also have interviews with memebers of the Linkedin group Scandinavian Supply Chain and Logistics Network or SSCL.

Klimatavtryck - mjukvara eller kunskap

Det finns jo mjukvara för det flest i dag, så det samma måste gälla för uträkning av klimatavtryck eller det som kallas på engelska "carbon footprint". På marknaden finns det mängder av olika varor eller tjänster som går att köpa för att hjälpa företag att mäta ut sitt klimatavtryck. Frågan är bara vill det göra de själva eller vill de att någon annan gör det, behöver företaget fint program eller duger enklare program.

Om vi tar upp tjänster som Remeka erbjuder och vi tänker oss företag med ca: 100 personer anställda inom tillverknings branschen. Vi kunde tänka oss att offert från Remeka skulle vara på 80.000 kr för:

uträkning av klimatavtryck
skapa strategi
skapa processer
ordna utbildning

Med ett sådant packet skulle kunden kunna göra jobbet år 2 helt själv, kanske med lite hjälp men för det mesta helt själv.

Om man nu tänker att istället köpa en programvara, som behövs installeras på en dator, kanske med licens för 3 - 4 datorer. Man kan tänka sig att sådant program skulle kunna kosta 20.000 kr och då har du endast fått mjukvaran med licens för 1 år. För att kunna hjälpa dig att lära sig på programmet skulle man behöva köpa tjänster i form av konsult tjänster från det företag som säljer mjukvaran. Pris per timme för IT konsult ligger på 1500 kr/timme och det är troligt att företaget skulle behöva 40 timmar totalt = 60.000 kr.

Dessvidare skulle kunden behöva hjälp med att skapa en strategi som skulle göras för ledningen av konsult på totalt 8 timmar = 12.000 kr.

Vi tänker oss att företaget köper också en utbildning från mjukvara leverantören för sin personal: 15 per grupp 2 timmar åt gången => 10 grupper => 20 timmar på 1500 kr per timme = 30.000 kr.

Kostnaden som företaget kan vara upp i vid köp av mjukvara är då: 122.000 kr

Skillnaden på Remeka och köpa av mjukvara med extra tjänster är då: 42.000 kr

Detta exempel är inte orealistiskt eftersom det är konsulttjänster som IT företagen säljer. Kund kan få mjukvaran ganska billigt, men sen tillkommer alltid extra tjänster som är IT företagens sätt att dra in pengar. Det som jag vill visa här att med köp av Remeka tjänster får företag ett packet och möjlighet att kunna genomföra detta själv i framtiden och därmed slippa att årligen betala IT konsult för att hjälpa sig att utföra jobbet.

Därför är kunskap bättre mjukvara

Utsläpp av koldioxid 2007 per invånare - kommuner

RUS (Regionalt uppföljningssystem för nationella miljömål) har gjort en lista hur mycket utsläpp av CO2 orsakades år 2007 per invånare, delat ner på kommuner.
Längst upp ser man rikets utsläpp och per invånare och sen kommer kommunerna från mesta utsläpp per invånare till det lägsta längs ner på listan.

När man tittar på listan så ser man att Göteborg hade 5,84 ton per invånare för 2007, medan Malmö hade 3,37 ton och Stockholm endast 2,94 ton. Skillnaden kan förklaras att Göteborg är industristad.

Kommuner - klimatkompensation

Det är väldigt "hot topic" hos kommuner att de ska klimatkompensera sina tjänsteresor. Göteborg stad började redan 2009 med att klimatkompensera. Hos Göteborg stad har man valt att värdera CO2 kilo till 1,5 kronor som sam svarar 1500 kr per CO2 ton. Det är högre än vad utsläpps rätter säljs på som är runt 200 excl moms per ton. Men Göteborg har valt det att värdera sina utsläpp så högt, och de pengar som staden eller kommunala företag klimatkompenserar går in på ett klimatkonto. Pengarna på kontot ska sen användas till olika klimatåtgärder i staden.
Enligt LFV så är en genomsnitt resa med flygplan inom Sverige samma som 121 kg av CO2. Det betyder att för sådant flyg behöver de företag som är anslutna till detta system att betala 181,5 kr.
Det ska vara intressant att se hur Göteborg och dess företag kan lyckas med att minska sina utsläpp.

Klimatlänkar & CO2 Sweden - Facebook

Över helgen hittade jag en blogg sida allt om COP 16 som är skriven av Gunnar Lind. Det är en bra sida med massor av info. Jag tog och lånade lite länkar från honom som jag tyckte var värt att ha på min sida, jag vill säga att hans blogg är bra och värt att läsa.
Jag har också satt upp en grupp på Facebook som heter "CO2 - Sweden" som är tänkt som en grupp för dem som gillar facebook eller hellre vill vara där.

Förlora inte pengarna, miljöstödet finns där ute

Det är lätt att få en ide, svårare är det att genomföra den i verklig affärside. Ännu svårare är det att sälja den iden till kunder, vem känner inte det.

Men det finns hjälp som mjuka medel i form av stöd från statliga företag för miljöprojekt. Det som är lurigt är att dessa medel är ofta gömda och det är inte enkelt att få dem. Eftersom detta kommer från staten måste mycket dokumenteras och många ansökningar måste göras. Om man tittar på Tillväxtverket hemsida som jag har gjort då finns det några statliga stöd att hitta:

Miljödrivna marknader: 45 miljoner, för:

Utveckling av företagsnätverk och mötesplatser
Rådgivning inom miljödriven affärsutveckling
Utveckling av gemensamma systemlösningar
Samordning och stöd vid upphandling

DemoMiljö: 50.000 - 3.000.000 kr per projekt

DemoMiljö är ett gåvobaserat stöd till moderna miljötekniska lösningar inom hållbar stadsutveckling och förnyelsebar energi. DemoMiljö ger mottagarländerna möjlighet att pröva moderna miljötekniska lösningar och företag möjlighet att få demonstrera sitt kunnande och sina produkter.

Saken är att det finns mycket att hämta i form av pengar från staten, det är bara att hitta var dem finns och hur man kan nå dem.

CO2 benchmarking

Det finns företag CO2Benchmark som gör jämförelse mellan 3.000 företag i världen om hur deras klimatavtryck ser ut. Så att det går att leta upp företag och se hur mycket de släpper ut i form av CO2. Problemet är ju att det är endast 3.000 företag som är kanske inte mycket och chansen att hitta företag här i Sverige är inte så stor och då är dem i större kanten. Denna service kostar, men det går att få konto gratis med ganska lite info.
Skulle det inte vara bra om det skulle finnas en mer lokal jämförelse, om det skulle finnas en databas här i Sverige. Tänk om det skulle vara så att när man lämnar in årsredovisning då måste man också lämna in sina klimatavtryck i CO2-e. Det finns årsrapporter över allt att hitta och om detta skulle vara inkluderat i den så skulle det vara lättare att göra jämförelse.

Sveriges export - Svartskallar AB

Kan jag sätta mig i samma kategori som andra invandrare till Sverige, det vill säga dom som är från länder utanför Europa. Jag vill inte vara negativ emot dom, och jag tror att jag kan vara i deras sällskap, med att medverka i SIFFEK som är för de företagare som har utländsk bakgrund.
Jag hade chans att följa med gruppen till möte hos UD nu i början av februari, där som diskuterat var om hur vi som har utländsk bakgrund kan hjälpa Svenska företag som vill exportera. Den hjälpen kan vara i form av hjälp med kulturskillnad, lokal marknadsundersökning, transporter o.s.v. Programmet som handelsministeriet har ordnat heter Kosmopolit.
Det var verkligen trevligt att träffa Sveriges handelsminister: Ewa Björling, det är inte ofta som man får en sådan chans.
Jag och mina kollegor fick också möjlighet att ha ytterligare möte med en av handelsministerns medarbetare för att gå ytterligare över hur vi kan erbjuda Svenska företag hjälp med exportrådgivning.
Efter mötet träffade vi några kollegor från tidigare möte där vi diskuterade saker vidare och hur vi kan nämna oss Svartskallar AB. Roligt namn, men om vi som är invandrare i Sverige kan hjälpa svenska företag som vill exportera så kan det vara win-win situation.

Det ska vara roligt att se hur vidare det kan gå.

Klimatkompensation - Island - Minsta kostnaden per CO2 ton

Nu är det tid att presentera mitt favorit klimatkompensations företag: Kolvidur från Island. För några månader upptäckte jag att en organisation från Island som heter Kolvidur erbjuder klimatkompensation. Jag tog direkt kontakt med dem för att höra hur det går till, och det som jag fick veta var att de håller på med trädplantering som bidrar till att mer CO2 binds än om man inte hade planterat träden.
Nästa steg var att se hur mycket kostnaden är per CO2 ton för att kunna jämföra med prisera som vi har här i Sverige. Det som kom som överraskning var att deras priser är lägre än vad vi här i Sverige har blivit erbjudna för likadan klimatkompensation. Priset som Kolvidur bjuder är: 80 kr per CO2 ton. Det priset är lägre än vad finns här i Sverige där som marknadpris på samma produkt ligger på 100 - 150 kr per CO2 ton.

För ett företag som vill bli klimatneutralt kan kostnaden bli 20 - 85% lägre per CO2. Om vi har ett tjänsteföretag som orsakar 100 ton CO2 utsläpp per år kan det betyda att de betalar 2000 - 7000 kr mindre för sin klimatkompensation genom att använda Kolvidur.

Carbon footprint labelling - Sverige

Nu har något börjat att rulla i detta här i Sverige också. Länge har man hört om att många företag börjar att etikettera sina produkter med deras klimatavtryck (carbon footprint). Det vill säga visa kunden hur mycket deras produkt eller produkter orsakar i klimatavtryck av CO2.

Nyligen har jag hört av ett exempel innom bilindustrin, som låter så att Ford har redan börjat kräva sina leverantörer att dem visar deras carbon footprint per produkt. Vad jag förstår är att de vill veta hur mycket CO2 en produkt orsakar. Detta är ganska stort kan man säga, om en sådan stort företag som Ford har begärt från sina underleverantörer att de redovisar hur mycket deras produkter orsakar i CO2 utsläpp så kommer det att sätta rejäl press på leveranskedjan att göra så.
Jag kan se att Svenska underleverantörer kommer nu att börja att mäta sina klimatavtryck, och det är på tiden att vi här i Sverige släpar inte efter andra länder i Europa.

Det ska bli spännande att se om fler i bilindustrin kommer att göra det samma.
