It's Hand Knit Friday! What hand knits did you wear today?

Okay, I admit it. I didn't exactly wear this all day, but I did wear it long enough to take a photo. This is the Rio Calina Cowl designed by Cat Bordhi. This pattern, as with all of Cat's patterns, is genius. It is a free flowing river of cables that you place whenever the mood hits. Oh, and it's reversible. She designed it for a worsted weight yarn, but mine is made in a super chunky, super soft Malabrigo.

We lost dear Cat last month. I look forward to wearing her cowl on a chilly day.

Sorry everyone. I had my HMF post ready to go yesterday, then I heard about Ruth Bader Ginsburg's passing and that put me in a tailspin.

After a few hours, I saw Paul Fromburg's post on Facebook and it brought me back. Here's what it said:

Ok, I found my words.

Tonight: Grieve like crazy. Have a cocktail. Take a walk. Weep and wail. Get it out of your system.

Tomorrow: Fight like hell.

Don’t waste your time posting on FB or texting like-minded friends. Get organized. Target candidates in vulnerable Republican senatorial races or those who just hate Trump. CALL THEIR OFFICES ON THE PHONE. Call them every day. Say (as politely as you can) that you request that the senate not confirm another supreme court nominee until after the next president is sworn in on January 20, 2021.

Reports say that Lisa Murkowski has already stated she WILL NOT vote for a new supreme court justice until after the next president is in office. Call her!

This is my favorite mask pattern, the Hybrid Cloth Mask from Iris Luckhaus. It is similar to another mask pattern that I like a lot, the 3 Piece Mask from Shannie Makes, but it's much easier to make. Outfitted with a metal nosepiece, this mask stays put and doesn't slip down when you talk.

This is a kit I got at Stitches West 2019. It's the Crossflower Shawl designed by Katy H Carroll of Katinka Designs in Marianated Yarns Hoth Practicality. The stitch markers weren't included in the kit, but they are handmade.
