Mandy from This Girls Life loved a nature inspired collage from Urban Outfitters. Not only was it out of her price range but it also is no longer sold at Urban Outfitters. For less than $5 she created the look and made a beautiful nature inspired mosaic collage. This is a great project for all you photogs out there or a neat way to capture the beauty of the outdoors on vacation.

Burlap Beach Pillow

Aimee from Twigg Studios handed painted a burlap pillow. The white paint against the texture of the burlap looks awesome. Burlap and white screams beachy, doesn’t it?

She was inspired by a Beach Pillow at Pottery Barn that is no longer sold.

Clay Rose Vase

Maysem from Ode to Inspiration remembers the extensive collection of vases her mother had when she was growing up as a child. Wanting to recreate a modern version Maysem set our to replicating the Anthroplogie ones.

Anthropologie carries quite a few different flowered vases that are $18.00 which actually isn’t too bad when you consider it is Anthropologie. I have seen quite a few people recreate these but I think Maysem’s shiny ones are my fave.

Round Barrel Planter

Traci from Beneath my Heart loved the look of the Ballard Designs Scalloped Edge Planters minus the scallops. When she spotted a large round wooden planter at Goodwill for $6.50 she nabbed it up. Inspired by the look of the designer planter she recreated the feel with a little paint.

The Ballard Designs Scalloped Edge Planters retails for $89 for the small one and $139 for the larger one. I think I will take the $6.50 one any day of the week. Plus Traci’s score had wheels on it.

Vintage Lace Lampshade

Kathleen from Charm Bracelet Diva was shopping at Pier 1 with her daughter, whom she affectionately calls Chickadee #1, when she spotted a gorgeous lace lampshade that had her smitten. Of course…like many of us frugalistas the price tag was enough to send her home running for craft supplies to recreate it herself.

I love the texture of the lace don’t you? She was inspired by Vintage Lace Lamp for $75. at Pier 1 Imports.

Surfboard Sign

Jaime from That’s My Letter is one of fave knock off girls. She recreated a surfboard sign for her kid’s room. You have to check out where she ultimately hung the sign. I, of course, will be featuring that shortly as well! I love the hand painted look of the white letters. It looks oh-so-perfectly beachy.

She was inspired by the $39 sign from Pottery Barn Kids? You can’t even tell which one is the knock-off. Jaime rocks my knock off world!

Hanging Book Rack

Shannon from Sew Sweet Cottage made a bright red bookshelf for her kid’s room. Well actually she commission her husband to do it but she was the visionary. I love the pop of red in the room against the bright covers of the books. She found a tutorial on the Martha Stewart site that gave her exact instructions on how to make it.

The Pottery Barn Kids one she liked was the Madison 4 Rack Bookshelf for $129.

Bronze Pharmacy Lamp

Paula from Me Makey Things definitely can definitely think-outside-the-box when she wants something. Repurposing some items she already had in her house she recreated the look of a pharmacy lamp. She pulled some amazing things out of her garage to piece this together…I think I want to go garage shopping at Paula’s place.

Paula was inspired by Rowan Pharmacy Task Table Lamp at Restoration Hardware in Bronze that retails for $319.

Sliding Chalkboard Pinboard Organizer

Brittany from Pretty Handy Girl created this amazing knock off from an old drawer and a bunch of other random supplies. I am shocked at how amazing this looks. Brittany is just as amazing in real life too. I adore her. You have to check out Pretty Handy Girl, all her projects are epic!

Square Cedar Planters

One of my contributors on Infarrantly Creative is Brook from Being Brook. She is a master at knock offs and building furniture. She created these beautiful cedar planters for only $12 using some plans from Ana White. She decided to spray paint them and I love how the wood grain still shows through.

You can find similar ones at many stores but the ones I found where from Target and were called the Square Lexington Planter.
