Just Blaze & Alchemist “battle” in ATL

At the Red Bull Big Tunes battle in Atlanta, Alchemist and Just Blaze did an impromptu “battle” over their fav self-produced beats. The footage shows that it was great exhibition of some classic songs. However, on the comments sections and Twitter, there were a surprising amount of people that caught feelings and were spreading hate and falsehoods. I’m tired of reading these mesages about who played what at this “battle”. Let me explain something to some of the lesser informed. I have done these things with the good folks at Red Bull for a few years now and the idea has always been the same: do whatever you want, play new stuff, play classics, entertain the crowd, whatever, just have fun with it.
Over the years the event has grown, and more and more names have become attached to it. So instead of just myself or one other producer being a featured showcase, SHOWCASE being the key word, you may get 3 or 4 producers. What many don’t know is that we did the same thing in Vegas about a month ago, but at seperate times during the event.Everyone had a good time. Crowd loved it, no complaints. We both played pretty much the same sets, but at different time during the night. This time around, literally an hour before Showtime we decided to make it more exciting for the crowd and take the stage together. Not to have a dick size contest, but to have fun and make it a better show for the crowd. That being the case we never talked about what we should play or shouldn’t play, because there were no rules. And if we had, I would have played exactly the same way. Why? Take a look at the audience singing along and partying. That’s why. We are there to entertain. Obviously ppl see 2 folks on stage and automatically assume “battle” but the reality is, Neither of us were concerned with minor nonsense, because we are secure with what we do and who we are, so neither was even worried about what the other would do. We sat and laughed about it afterwards and had a good time.
So in closing, to the crybabies. stop bitching and crying. Take that dusty fingers beats and breaks loops extravaganza vol 1-30 collection out of your ass and go get laid. If that fails (which I suspect it will for some of you) Jerk off. Problem? 212 741 7400.

PS you think ppl wouldn’t have sung along with records like roc the mic, what we do, and PSA anyway? Lol.

PSS “Hold you down” to “Soon you’ll understand” was planned. And omg there is no Santa.

Its seeing a video like this that I have to agree with Combat Jack that Mos Def Sucks. Black Thought are caught behind the scenes at the BET Hip-Hop Awards Cypher shoots, reciting famous lines from the Roots’ “&5 Bars”. REVOK’S VANDAL VACATION

Revok went to Australia for some graffiti event that got cancelled. So what does a person do when the reason you went there was to do some legal graffiti? Well you go and do some illegal graffiti I guess. Well apparently he got caught at the airport coming home. Get this, he got caught because he twittered that he was going to the airport, they were waiting there for him. Hes out now and at home already, but he has to pay some $15,000, well he has to never go to Australia again.
