Hey guys. I'd love to contribute as much as I can. I'm currently a consultant in the craft beer industry and I travel across the country quite a bit. I'm based in the Baltimore region and can provide content from that area, as well as any place I may be traveling when time permits (OR, CO, MN, SD, VA, NC and many more). Let me know how I can get started!

Cheers.

Hello Christopher,

Thanks for the comment and for reading the interview!

The name 'Half Acre' is taken from a small town called Devil's Half Acre (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Devil's_Half-Acre,_Pennsylvania) that is just north of Bucks County, PA. The town of Devil's Half Acre is just a half-acre of land with a bar on it.

Gabriel, the owner of Half Acre, explains it on the Half Acre blog here:
http://inyourguts.blogspot.com/2009/07/why-half-acre.html

Thanks again for reading!!

I expect it'll be in the next installment but what's behind the name 1/2 acre? I can't help but think agriculture when I hear 'acre' but that's not what I think when I hear 'Chicago.' Looking forward to the next piece.
