When people say "How do I get distribution for my content?" I say, "you have global distribution you want on the internet. If it's good, someone will pay you to keep doing it." Here is an example of funny courtesy of Landline TV

Will you ever know the joy of going to a store to purchase music, a book or a magazine again? ALL Virgin Megastores in the U.S. will be closed by the Summer. Although still profitable, the U.S. partner thinks they can rent the real estate and make more money. Who are they going to rent it to...Circut City ? Greed I tell you!

The 13th Annual American Black Film Festival returns to Miami after a 2 year stint in Los Angeles. While it's not Acapulco, it's good to get back to Miami, the city most identified with the festival. Make plans early at ABFF.com

THE LAST DRAGON WITH SAMUEL JACKSON AS SHONUFF!

Who is the Master? Apparently, Samuel L. Jackson. He reportedly has been cast as the urban martial arts bad-ass Sho'nuff for Columbia Pictures' upcoming remake of Berry Gordy's 1985 cult classic The Last Dragon. But the most important casting decision has yet been made. VANITY! Who do you think should cast in this part?! Blackarazzi.com has a poll that includes Meagan Good, Ciara, and Kim K.

Wassup 2008

The Wassup commercial is still one of the greatest commercials in ad history..After eight long years, we get to see the boys say wassup to each other again, and it's not so pretty. The original cast is back and shows us in a comedic, but true fashion the negative effects of a down economy, a war with no goals, housing crisis, and hurricane Katrina why we need to vote for CHANGE next Tuesday.

N.W.A. channeled the rage of the streets... struck fear into the heart of White America... and turned 'Gangsta Rap' into a household word. 20 years after Eazy-E, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, MC Ren and DJ Yella exploded onto the scene with
"Straight Outta Compton" comes the definitive VH1 RockDoc. NWA: The World's Most Dangerous Group features new interviews with Ice Cube, DJ Yella, former manager Jerry Heller, director John Singleton and more. Narrated by Chris Rock.

The lack of original black shows on TV is nothing new. Producers are creating shows for online distribution as a way to create a fanbase and make the transition to TV. Shows like Prom Queen and Rooomates are two very popular online shows that have online success, but both have a lack of diversity. Tatyana Ali’s upcoming web series Buppies represents the future of distribution where creators can bypass traditional distribution hurdles and deliver content directly to fans . Check out the trailer. KOSIGN will be compiling and featuring original urban content for online and mobile in the near future.

YES WE CAN..THE OBAMA SOUNDTRACK

The Obama Camp and Hidden Beach have released a "soundtrack" to the grass roots movement of the Obama Campagin "Yes We Can!" The album is available for download or physical CD now and all procedes go directly to the campaign. click here!

The tracklisting includes some songs worth having, "Promise Land" by Kanye and some other people and the Shontelle "Battle Cry" is not bad either. To be perfectly honest the only reason I bought this for my father was to support the cause. I think it includes too much old material (One is the magic #!? really!?) Even with Obama speeches laced over them, I'm not that moved. What would have been MORE inpressive would have been actual new hits from all the stars I see rockin their "Obama is My Homeboy" shirts to the gym! Two points for making a campaign piece that has never been done before though Hidden Beach.

She Is Michelle and You Are Not!

It’s pretty safe to say that I’m not the only guy on the Michelle Obama bandwagon. With her background, grace, and consciousness, she never ceases to amaze me, and never so much as during her speech at the Democratic National Convention. She was awe inspiring. In fact, during a routine mixed-gender get together, I mentioned that I’d never seen a contemporary sister support her man on a public stage like that before. The brothers in the room gave me the routine cosign, but the sisters in the circle got quiet. They looked at me, then they looked at each other, then they looked at me again. Then all hell broke loose.

Although my intention was to show my adoration for Michelle, whom I consider our Coretta Scott King, apparently I’d fired off a shot in the fragile truce of gender politics between black men and women. Hindsight is always 20/20, but it was too late. It was on.
