PDP Wednesday 1st Oct programme 16:15 Introduction of the process Pitch by companies 16:45 Speed dating organized by teaching team 18:30 (latest) Open space (goto any company stand) 19:00 Collection on wish list (all teams, all companies) In order to allow proper flexibility, any wish list must contain -many ¿love¿ options -few ¿hate¿ options We do not want the teams to indicate an order of preference (1st, 2nd, ¿). Only if both the team and sponsor indicates a match made in heaven that will be considered (as much as possible). Teaching team will do final matching based on the information available. The results will be sent to the teams when ready. BR, H&M and E

Preliminary project briefs have now been posted on Noppa under the section "Project Briefs 2014". Be aware of that some projects might still be added to the list once the briefs are received. Also notice that Unicef project is a "special case" that will be disucessed more during next lecture.

Dear PDP students, The new PDP year has now officially started. It was very nice to see so many motivated new students at the Design Factory. The slides of the first lecture are now shared at Noppa. ...and this is not all... One of our Design Factory researchers is looking for participants to her study. Get involved in the very beginning on Design Factory research and get a FREE lunch. See the following message that we received from PhD cadidate Stefania Passera. Br, PDP Staff - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Would you like to help research at Aalto University, and get a free lunch as a reward? I am PhD Candidate Stefania Passera, and I am conducting research on how to use visual language to make contracts easier and more user-friendly. I am searching for volunteers for a simple usability experiment on a student tenancy agreement. The experiment is organized twice: 1) Monday 22.9, at 16:00, TUAS Talo, Otaniemientie 17, room 1171 (in front of TUAS library) 2) Wednesday 24.9.2014, at 14:30, Aalto Design Factory, The Stage, before the PDP lecture The language of the research is English, and all participants will receive a coupon for a free a-la-carte lunch on campus at the end of the session. The test will take between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on your answering speed. IMPORTANT: each participant needs a laptop or a tablet to take the test, so please bring your own! Smartphones work too, but it is a bit annoying to type answers on a smaller screen.
