Hello Nail Chickies!
I decided sooner than later was better, sleeping in bed all day is fun in theory, but nails were seriously neglected (chipped... ewww!) And my laundry was staring at me judgmentally, SO I got up!

I present to you Revlon Emerald City, which is a very pretty matte suede polish that I picked up around Christmas Time. I got so embarrased with myself when I realized I bought it in December, and have yet to open the bottle. It looked kinda boring on its own, so I slapped some seche vite on top, and then stamped the half flower design from BM05 with Sally Hansen Instra Dri Silver. Pwetty:)

The Future

Well, Hello!
Its been around 8 months since I've posted last. I'm still polishing my nails daily (or at least every other day!) I still check blogger everyday faithfully, and read the blogs I love, and truthfully every single time I check, I am ashamed, seeing my blogging information at the top of the screen... booo!!

This year has been wild. School was my main downfall. There was a ton more work than I ever expected in a million years, and nights where there was no work to do, I was simply exhausted. I'm done my daily classes now, and will be starting my 8 weeks of practicum within the next week. So hopefully I will be able to find time to post my creations, because I really honestly do enjoy painting my nails, and sharing the designs I come up with on the blog.

Lots of things have changed since I last posted... and as I sit here, I'm amazed at how many things (good and bad) have changed in the last 8 months... I've gained friends, I've lost touch with some, I've had more than one person who is close to me be diagnosed with cancer. I've royally screwed up my relationship, I've traveled (and gained a new fear..... FLYING), I've done really well in school (and also done truly AWFUL as well), I wrote my very first paper, and scored 14/15% on it (go me!) I've overcome my fear of speaking in front of people. I still spend too much money. I cut my long blonde hair, which took me several years to grow, into a tiny little inverted bob, which i colored a dark purpley red shade. And I've grown up...

Now, all of that being said, today I am laying in bed and not doing anything. I'm merely celebrating the fact that I have no where to go, and nothing to do (well, I am a little bit behind on laundry, but I'll save that for tomorrow.. I have nothing to do then either!) So expect some of my itty bitty baby nails (because they still don't grow.. duuuh!) to be in your blog list ASAP.

Thanks for sticking around guys, all 32 of you (actually, I have gained about 8 followers since not posting, neato!)

I always have such a hard time naming posts. I can never figure out if I sound totally dorky, or if its too boring?
Anyways, logged into blogger today and noticed I have like.. 4 more followers than I did last time I looked.. EXCITING:)
On to todays nails.
I used China Glaze 2030 as my "base color" and stamped with Sally Hansen InstaDri in Black. 1 coat of nail envy as a base coat, and seche vite as my top coat. This is one of my favorites to do, pretty basic, but I always get tons of compliments every time I wear this!

Hello People,
I finally got a sallys beauty!!! Woohoooo. Its only been open for a few weeks, but I seriously have been there so many times its insane. So far I've purchased like.. 7 bottles of nail polish, which isn't a whole lot to nail fanatics, but I'm kinda on a budget! I also upgraded my White Blackberry Pearl 8130 to a Black Blackberry 9300 3G. (sooo cool!)
Here i present to you China Glaze BFF. I got this polish in a blog sale.. this one got me going!! I own 2nite, idk, bff, fyi, gr8, lol, tmi, and ttyl and am still missing dv8, l8r g8r, omg, and qt. I really really want them all.. but I don't know if I wanna pay 15$+ for them on ebay. I'm hoping I will be able to find the rest on blog sales etc. or.. I may just get lucky and someone loves me enough to get them for me!

Guilt Trip; Part 2

So here I am, laying in bed.. Feeling guilty because its been ages since I have posted last. I have been working like a dog, polishing everything that holds still, and yet, I don't take pictures! (silly girl!) So, Once upon a long time ago I swatched a whole bunch of polishes that I got as nailmail. So. here. they. are. In all their craptastic swatchyness. I don't even think this is all of them, but I needed to write something, I feel too guilty!

Long awaited.. swatches. I so haven't yet swatched everything.. By now I expected to have 2 Transdesign Orders, 1 Evil-Bay, and a "random finds" order make its way to me. I have received 1 TransDesign.. But I am still waiting on the rest. Not everything is swatched from what I have now.. I have to be in the right mood to wear certain colors.. (what a DORK I am! lol)

My boyfriend and I decided (because we both have mondays off) That we were going to do roadtrips for the day. We went on our first one this week. Went to a water park, a casino, dinner, mall and costco!

At the mall I steered myself directly to the Glamour Secrets, mainly due to the fact that the one in my town went out of business (booo). At the back of the store there were two buckets, 1 OPI and the other Essie, both marked down to 5$. I picked up OPI Chick Flick Cherry (Which I read on another blog this afternoon and found out it was released in 1999! Thats crazy, I was 9 years old!)

Annoyingly enough they also had Essie Matte About You on sale for 5$, so I picked up a backup.. The original bottle I purchased put me back 13.99$ plus tax! On our way home we decided to stop into a random drug store, and lo and behold... HIDDEN TREASURE! I almost peed my pants!! I could see the displayer when I walked through the door. There was two bottles left, and a part of me wanted to buy both.. but my boyfriend gave me "the look".

Oh, and 2 Random KOTDs!

I am newly addicted to China Glaze. This may seem like an insult to some, however, before last week I only owned 1 China Glaze polish and it is called Golden Miringue (sp? too lazy to go look at the bottle! haha!)
So, about a week and a half ago I placed my first transdesign order. I was pleasantly surprised. The order came quickly and I got 4 new china glaze polishes for an amazing price. I'm not going to reveal which ones I purchased, because (drum roll pleeeease!) I made 2 more orders, Another from transdesign and the other from Victoria Nail Supply.
So, that brings the total up to 14 China Glaze, and MY FIRST ORLY! OPI is still my queen though, but CG is now competitor.

I gave myself some gel nails.. Got a kit @ Shoppers Drug Mart for 11.99$.. not sure if I hate them yet or not. I feel like they are messy around my cuticle area. I did some cute nail art yesterday.. I copied a design I saw off the Daily Nail. Chocolate Icing Finger nails, with Sprinkle Tips (and they look totally cute!)
Maybe I'll take a few pictures tonight and add them to the end of this post.

Tomorrow I do two girls nails for their Proms (one Konadi, and the other just a straight up mani) And hair and makeup. Should prove to be a busy day, I'll try to remember to take pictures!

Ok, Thats enough for right now. Pointless ramble.... I need to start doing tags! lol

Tuesday Adventures

Hello Sweet-Tarts!
Me and my nubbies are back and this time we are sporting Essie Turquoise and Caicos. I love to write the words "this polish applied flawlessly in 2 coats blahblahblah" However, I would like to speak the truth. I HATE THIS FORMULA!!!!!! The only Essie polishes I've owned previously had been topcoats, but this color. DAMN! It took me 4 coats to get it opaque like I like it. The brush was awful.. eugh! I do have to say, the dry time was fabulous considering my frustration with the application, I'd love to say I'd never put this polish on again, buuuuut I loved it so much I did my toes aswell! Its such a gorgeous color, and once you slap a coat of seche vite on it, it looks like a million bucks!

Onto yesterdays KOTD
"OPI Do You Lilac It?" frankened a little bit with Sally Hansen White so its lighter. I stamped with Sally Hansen Insta Dri Light Purple (no color name on bottle) with ip M63, topped off with 1 coat seche vite (duh!) I really loved this konadi, even my dad thought it was pretty!

Yesterday I ventured out to the mall for a rescue mission. A friend told me that at our Trade Secret there were two buckets of Essies marked to 30% off. (and I needed acetone from wal-mart.. what a trip!) Needless to say, with the lady at the cash starting at me as I pawed through the buckets of polishes, I only found two I liked. Tie the Knot & Cute as a Button. I'm still pleased with my purchases!

So, onto my traumatizing event from yesterday. After I got back from the mall, I sat down and starting swatching Cute as a Button to photograph and upload here. After painting all my nails I noticed my little man Rusty was GONE........... Leaving my room, I see the front door, WIDE OPEN (thanks dad!). This begins immediate panic for me. Rusty is a 15 year old 9 pound blind and deaf Pomeranian, he is NOT allowed outside alone because he WILL get lost. So I begin the hunt for him outside, after about 20 minutes of NOT finding him, I start to really panic and cry. I have had this stinky little vicious dog that I have pampered for 15 years and now he is gone... like what am I going to do?! And then the little orange fluff ball stumbled out of the tree line, which put me into complete hysterics. I have never been so happy to see anything in my entire life. Needless to say, my manicure was ruined, but I didn't care, I'm just happy I got my little dude back!

Gaga Fever!

Hello Addicts!
I used one of my lovely bundle monster plates today, BM19 to be more specific.
My inspiration:

My Nails:

To achieve this look I painted all my finger nails (except for my pointer fingers, I used Sally Hansen Insta Dri in white) with my Holy Grail Nail Polish; OPI Crimson Carol. I topped it all off with a nice thick coat of Seche Vite, and then stamped my accent fingers with the BM19 plate, with the design, I used Sally Hansen Insta Dri in Black, and OPI Keys To My Karma for the stamp.

Obviously they are no where near the same, but all I cant think of is Lady Gaga Poker Face when I look at that image plate! On another happier note, I think I am starting to get neater at painting nails, I have been putting a lot of effort into it, and its getting easier. This shows hard work pays off!

Last night I painted my twinkle toes with Nicole by OPI Rent a Magenta.

I finally caved and went on a hunt for some leftover polishes from the China Glaze OMG collection. I got 4, and hopefully they will arrive to me soon, I don't know if I can handle the wait time.. I'm so excited to experiment with stamping and painting with them, should be fun!

Update: I chopped my finger nails off.. After I got my manicure, (OPI Its All Greek To Me!) my finger nails all peeled down because the base coat my manicurist used wasn't heavy duty enough for me, and they chipped off within 2 days before I got a chance to photograph them.
So, now my stubbies are starting fresh.

I cannot even begin to explain how BUSY I have been lately! I feel like.. all I do is work, and when I am not working, I'm sleeping, or cleaning, or paying attention to my boyfriend, or walking my dog. So right now, I'm leaving all my responsibilities behind (except for the dog walking part.. he is having a nap!)
This is also so long overdue, because I have gone shopping like... 1000 times, and every time I get home and I think "Oh, I should totally haul this on my bloooog!" ......and then I never do.

I've never heard of this brand before, and was kind of nervous to buy it because I wasn't sure it would get hot enough. WELL LET ME TELL YOU, it certainly packs the heat. I burnt my hand so badly.. I would love to just cut it off...

I purchased the bundle monster nail stamping kit off amazon, BEST 20$ I ever spent! There were 4 plates I didn't like, so I gave them away. I've been slacking on uploading KOTD & NOTD (considering I do my nails daily lol) I think that I may start photographing my nails daily, and then adding them all up into one post.

Hello!
I have a good excuse.. I promised I would post 3x weekly, but I moved last week and started a new job. So I'm finally all settled in, have all my necessities set up. aaaaaaaaand thats my excuse! Totally Lame!!
So, on to the update.
I bought a cuticle pusher, and I am loving it! It makes my fingers look so much neater.
I also think I notice a difference in my nails since using the "Revlon Post Trauma Treatment", they aren't cracking and breaking on me all the time any more, aaand I just realized as I am writing this that I haven't needed to file my nails in ages.. and I used to have to do that daily because of breakage!
I'll have to do a collective haul within the next few days... I've purchased quite a few goodies.......... BAD GIRL!

Current Mani: OPI My Private Jet

not very good light.. so not very good swatches, and hey, I'm still new at this!

I'm not even going to begin to address the "My Private Jet Drama", if you are curious as to what I mean, google it. This applied like standard OPI formula, I used 3 coats (but thats just because I'm nit-picky) 1 Coat of Revlon Post Trauma Nail Treatment as a base, 2 coats of Sally Hansen Insta Dri Top Coat (I'm trying out lots of different Top Coats for a review.. This is my 4th!).
This color is so gorgeous, I can't exactly put my finger on what color it is.. Like.. a mix between a deep grey and like.. OPI "You Don't Know Jacques".. but, with holo?? No matter what it is, when I wear it, I can't keep my eyes off it! Its a timeless sophisticated color, that I'm sure I will be returning to for years and years! And all the better, my sweetie bought this one for me! (gag, I know!)

Now, Ladies, I have a problem-o.
My boyfriends Mom, Myself & my Mama are going for Manicures.............. I hope someone sees the issue here. I'm a crazy person... how am going to NOT change my nail color everyday... what if they have a boring selection of colors..... and they definitely don't do Konadicures. On the plus side, My hands and cuticles will benefit from the spa day I'm sure. I'll post pictures after I get my fingers done, and I will remember forever what a wonderful job my manicurist does, and I will forever try to copy her technique. (I've only ever had one manicure in the past)

Hello,
So I just melted off my press on nails with nail polish remover. I had to cut my finger nails down waaaaay far, and I totally look like have little girl finger nails. Little stubbies:( I however am inspired by another blogger, I wish I could remember what her name was!
She used to have trouble with biting her nails. My problem is that I always catch my finger nails on stuff, they peel, and they are soft. AWFUL! My cuticles are also in a disgusting mess.. So, obviously I need to be trying out some new products. I totally need a rectangle buffer, a cuticle stick, new cuticle oil and a new strengthener.

Anybody have any suggestions for brands? Obviously I'm going to have to give OPI Nail Envy a try. Revlon also has a line out for damaged nails.
On top of that I need to figure out how to paint my finger nails properly. I love looking at swatches of finger nails with nail polish not touching any skin... perfect lines..........
eugh!
This is going to be impossible to obtain.

I'll make a post tomorrow with pictures of my awful finger nails, and awful cuticles in all their glory. I wont touch them up at all. In the mean time, I'm going to be spending lots of time on google researching....

Ooops!

Hello,
Tonight I stopped by my local drugstore to pick up some glitter hair spray for my younger brother. I somehow convinced him to buy me a bottle of nail polish, in return for all the times I drove him around in my car.
My choice was Sinful Colors "Forget Now". Now, this is going to be my vague attempt at deciphering what the composition of the nail polish is- Don't Laugh at me :)

Forget now is a jelly based bright pink nail polish with very fine matching pink glitter and a few purple toned glitters. Its so beautiful. This color reminds me of my holy grail nail polish, OPI Crimson Carol from the 2009 Holiday Wishes Collection, but PINK! This color will look gorgeous on tan skin.

....The crazy person in me is deliberating whether I should go get a backup....

On to the swatch. I painted 3 coats, and there is still a slight VNL, but only if you are looking for it. It was slow drying, but applied nice and smooth. I Topped it off with Revlon Quick Dry Top Coat.

Second post of the day, so far so good!
My KOTD is a look I tried to re-create that I saw on another blog and fell in love with!, www.konaddict.blogspot.com, so all credit absolutely goes to her! (check her blog out! She does the most amazing stuff!)

I think I did a pretty good job at it! Its such a gorgeous faux-marbley look.

How To:
1)Paint your nails your favorite shade of red, I used OPI Keys to my Karma.
2)Using a sponging method, create a yellow line vertically down the center of your nail, I used OPI The It Color.
3)Next I used a vampy creme color called Vixen by Revlon to stamp the image from my m78 image plate.
4)And Finally, I used Revlons Quick Dry Topcoat

Hi Guys, This is going to be a small introduction and collection post (so you know what I own if you want to request a nail look, see a swatch or know how a product works!)
All my friends think I need to get myself into some type of beauty school, instead I'm going to school to be a teacher. While I can't deny that I adore all things superficial I decided blogging is the route for me! After I do my nails, get my hair done & when I do my hair, do my makeup extra nice, hauls, reviews, when I do others hair/makeup/nails, expect a post!

The majority of my posts are going to be nail polish related, and yet again more refined: Konad!

So, lets begin my introduction:
My name is Jessica, I am a 20 year old Canadian. I love beauty! I have 1 dog of my own, his name is Rusty and he is a 15 year old Pomeranian. I am a lifeguard and swimming instructor, and I work part time at my local pool. So along with beauty tips, I can also give swimming tips! Ha Ha!
I have several good friends, and a boyfriend who I have been with for 2 years in August of 2010.
