The essence of Radionics was perhaps best summarised by Brian Wilson, formerly of the Beach Boys, in the classic 1966 pop hit “Good Vibrations”, in which he sang: “I’m pickin up good vibrations, oom bop bop, good vibrations, she’s giving me excitations, oom bop bop, excitations.” It is this detection of vibration, and manipulation of the resonance rates, that forms the basis of Radionic practice.

“Now, hold it right there!” demands the cranky curmudgeon kook. “Detecting vibrations? How is that any different from dowsing?”

The practitioner answers that in the mechanisms and healing purposes we find radionics distinguished from the older forms of dowsing and radiesthesia, and that it is on the “circuit” we best attune ourselves to the subtle energies of life. In our continuing work to better explain and understand the meaning of this answer, we have looked to Albert Abrams, his inheritors, and their stated purposes, exploring and elaborating on the science of Radionics. This article represents the current state of our efforts, and, as always, we at the Kook Science Resistance leave it to you to judge the truth for yourself . . .

The Electronic Reactions of Abrams

By means of this system Abrams claims that he “can diagnose the sex, race and disease” of a patient that he has never seen, and who does not need to be present. All that Abrams needs is a sample of blood from that patient. A few drops of blood, taken from that individual while he is facing west, but who may be a thousand miles or more away, are put on a piece of paper which is mailed to Abrams. The paper is then placed in what Abrams calls his “Dynamizer.” This is connected with his “Rheostatic Dynamizer,” from which, in turn, wires go to the “Vibratory Rate Rheostat” that is connected with the “Measuring Rheostat.” From the “Measuring Rheostat” comes a wire at the end of which is an electrode which is pressed to the forehead of some other healthy individual who is termed “the subject” whose abdomen is then percussed. The subject must face west and be in a dim light. The mysterious energy from the patient’s blood sample or other specimen passes from the subject’s forehead to the subject’s abdomen where this mysterious electronic emanation sets up certain changes in the hollow organs which may be detected by percussing the subject’s abdomen.

In May 1898, Dr. Albert Abrams submitted his resignation as Professor of Pathology to the Cooper Medical College, leaving behind academia to pursue private practice. Over the course of the next twenty-six years, Abrams would find infamy and wealth in the detection of bad vibrations, developing and exploiting what he called the “Electronic Reactions of Abrams.”

To understand the E.R.A., one must first realise that the terminology used by Dr. Abrams and his followers is misleading: the basic determination of a patient’s well-being, what Abrams described as “ohms” (or others called “frequencies”), was calculated not by directly measuring electric resistance or current, but, as detailed in the opening quote, through the creation of a kind of physical-psychic circuit, connecting a healthy subject (reagent), via the forehead (third eye), to an apparatus linked to the blood or hair sample (or handwriting, or photograph) of the patient being examined. Once connected, it was proposed that the healthy body will find itself naturally responsive to the energy vibration of the sample, allowing the operator to detect the shift— in this case, by touching the abdomen of the host, feeling the change. By comparing these changes to pre-established disease rates, the operator, according to Abrams, was able to determine what afflictions, if any, plagued the patient.

Were this a simple dowsing, the diagnosis having been made, the patient would be sent on their way for treatment of the uncovered sickness. However, the detection of disease was only the first part of the E.R.A. program. Once the practitioner had established what the sickness of the patient was, they could then begin treatment by use of an Oscilloclast to correct the “perturbed electronic energy” making them sick. The method was simple: the patient would be linked into an actual electric circuit, gently insulated to avoid electrocution (for example, using drinking glasses to ground the feet), and a current would be run through them, assisting to restore a baseline, healthy vibration, a process that would be repeated until the patient could be redowsed and declared disease free.

At the time of the discovery of the “electronic reactions”, the medical and scientific communities were in a state of rapid, often confusing, progression. Education could hardly keep up with the rate of advancement, and, indeed, the use of electricity was still new to many. In such an environment, it proved simpler for theories like those offered by Abrams, perhaps in part by virtue of their novelty, to quickly take sway over thousands of paying students (including no less than the writer Upton Sinclair).

Not that Abrams was alone in his tapping into this public enchantment with the electric: there were dozens of rival “electronic” cures, all claiming similar feats for their own methods, all demanding similarly high prices. What’s more is the new science of medical electricity, all of varying legitimacy, was no small, humbled ventured, but a growing business enterprise, drawing in huge incomes and putting itself into direct competition with more conventional medicine. Hard scrutiny was inevitable.

Beginning in 1923, Scientific American magazine, working with the American Medical Association, participated in a ten-month, $20-30k research project, studying the E.R.A. with several of Abrams own students, including a man who went by the pseudonym “Doctor X”.[2] A true believer, Dr. X, was convinced that he would be able to prove the merit of Abrams’s methods, and submitted himself fully to perform the experiments.

The test was simple enough: based on six germ cultures taken from diseased patients, determine the affliction of those patients. The results would be checked against the known pathogens in the samples, and, since surely this would be nothing outside the range of the typical E.R.A. diagnosis, success was a certainty. The proof would be irrefutable, and the Abrams’s method, at last, given full credibility.

But the first trial failed. Dr. X was wrong on his diagnosis of each sample.

Unable to determine the cause of the failure, after initially questioning the purity of the cultures, Dr. X examined the vials themselves, where upon he discovered the fatal flaw: red ink and hand writing. These factors, he explained, contaminated the samples, both acting to interfere with the high sensitivity of the instruments. The test would have to be run again, this time without the obstruction.

The second trial also failed, catastrophically. Again, each diagnosis performed was wrong.

Further tests with other E.R.A. practitioners likewise resulted in misdiagnosis after misdiagnosis. Dr. Abrams himself did not submit to perform any such experimentation before the Scientific American committees, noting that “when the E.R.A. diagnostician is working under test conditions, he is at a decided disadvantage because of his anxiety regarding the outcome of the test. From time to time we have been warned against a skeptical turn of mind, for such a state on the part of the investigator has a decidedly detrimental influence on the reactions…” [3]

As attention mounted, Mary Lecocq, a Bible Student (later called “Jehovah’s Witnesses”) from Jonesboro, Arkansas, found herself caught in the line of fire, becoming one of the first to be prosecuted for fraud in a federal court over her E.R.A. practice. Like Dr. X, Lecocq had been provided a blood sample and asked to perform her standard services, including a recommendation as to how to cure any diseases uncovered. She complied, detecting cancer, diabetes, and malaria from the sample, with the obvious solution of treatment using an Abram’s machine. The test was, however, a fraud of its own— the blood sample had been extracted from a rooster. A federal criminal prosecution was launched, and Abrams himself was called to testify. [4]

Albert Abrams, however, would never appear in court, succumbing to pneumonia in January 1924 (as, it is claimed, his own readings predicted he would). His legacy of work, and an accumulated fortune estimated to have been in the millions, was left to his College of Electronic Medicine, under the directorship of Fred Hart; and, while the organization continued operations as the Electronic Medical Foundation, producing an array of Abrams-style devices, it was part of a movement rapidly losing favour, and would eventually be shut down by the Food and Drug Administration following yet another chicken blood scandal.

In the wake of Abrams’s passing, the Scientific American and the A.M.A. concluded their research project, declaring the “so-called electronic treatments” to be “without value”, the claims of the practitioners having “no basis in fact”. [5]

The era of E.R.A., it appeared, was coming to an end.

Drown, Ruth Drown

“The key to understanding the work and instruments of Dr. Ruth Drown lies in a firm grasp of the two fundamental energy manifestations connected with the human body. These are, first, the electrostatic energy of the physical-mineral tissues, and second, the vital energy which passes into and through those tissues enabling them to hold their form.”

Trevor J. Constable, “The Work of Dr. Ruth Drown” (1961) [6]

Without Ruth Drown, it is likely that American radionics would have ended with Abrams, a novelty from the dawn of our electrical age. Her efforts helped to push Abrams’s discipline into the realm of the vitalistic, seeking out the connective tissue between the ancient Hermetic sciences and the new science of Radionics.

It was in 1923, the year before Abrams death, that Drown, then head of the Southern California Edison Company’s mechanical addressing department, was first introduced to the radionic theories that would so impact the rest of her life. She attended a lecture on the use of radio energies in disease treatment, presented by a Dr. Frederick F. Strong, and was so moved that she immediately sought to work for him, resigning her high-paying job with Edison to take on a post as a part-time office assistant. This, in turn, led to her employment by Dr. Thomas McAllister, under whose encouragement Drown briefly studied osteopathy, before she eventually became licensed as a Doctor of Chiropractic.

First as a student and then as a doctor, Drown extensively experimented with the radionics that Strong’s lecture had introduced to her, but found problems in the theories as they had been expressed. Influenced partly by a long interest in metaphysics and Kabbalism, she came to believe that, while Abrams had touched on an underlying truth, electricity proved too coarse to be truly useful in effective diagnosis and treatment— there had to be some more subtle force at work. Further, the means of detection had to be refined to reduce the kinds of errors that had plagued Dr. X, allowing the practitioner to lock on to a very specific, individual frequency.

The answer, she speculated, might be found by studying radio technology. In her own words: “When placed on a blotter, the blood is crystallized, even as ice is crystalized steam, and each small atom is the precipitated crystallized end of an invisible line which reaches out to the ethers. This invisible line passes through the body over the nerves and through the blood vessels and the electrons from the air, water and earth supply the body structure, attaching themselves to that line, which holds the pattern of the body.” [7]

With this understanding of life forces as a basis, it made sense to “cut the cord” between the Electronic Reactions of Abrams and a new, more overtly vitalistic radionics, replacing “ohms” with “rates”, electronic responses with human vibration radiation. Likewise, the reagent medium once used to feel out the diagnosis, too imprecise and open to interferences, could be replaced with the simpler, more sensitive radio-like mechanism of the Homo-Vibra Ray.

Even more revolutionary still, Drown determined that if one could detect these vibratory energy rates by simple tuning, one could also broadcast the curative response at a distance, signalling across the ether. From her Broadcast Room, she would need only dial in the healing frequencies, direct it to unique frequency determined from the patient’s blotter sample, and transmit the cure, restoring the life forces back to a healthy state.

However, despite these refinements and the distancing of her methods from those of Abrams, Drown could not overcome the apparent impact of simple skepticism on the procedure. Three experimental trials conducted by Drown herself at the University of Chicago, organised at the behest of prominent supporters, all resulted in misdiagnosis, while attempts at using the remote curative powers of her devices to control hemorrhaging left two dogs dead, both having bled to death. [8]

The tribulations of Drown continued as, in 1951, she was tried in federal court for misbranding her devices as part of interstate commerce, a case she subsequently lost and was fined over. [9]

Forced to restrict her activities to California, Drown quietly continued her radionic research and practice from her Hollywood offices for over a decade, only to once again find herself on the receiving end of government investigation. In 1963, Ruth Drown, her daughter, and several assistants were arrested on grand theft charges, their equipment seized. Drown would spend the remaining years of her life awaiting trial, dying before she could be brought to judgement. [10] [11]

You didn’t mention Blofeld at all!

Oops.

Through the course of our research, we at the Kook Science Resistance have come to an important question of our own, a problem that is, sadly, highlighted every time we see a tremendous profit motive involved in alternative practices: why is the technology so crap?

Be they Dynomizers, Oscilloclasts, Homo-Vibra Rays, it seems that all this radionic equipment purporting to assist in diagnosis and healing lacks real mechanical functionality when looking under the lid. These concerns have only been exacerbated by discovery of the fact that those who leased Abrams’s “black boxes” were bound by the strictest confidentiality, legally prohibited from opening and studying the interior mechanisms, something that is clearly the anti-thesis of open scientific inquiry. If they were simple focuses, as some later proponents have argued, what was the justification for the exorbitant fees, the oppressive demands of secrecy? If intended to act in some useful mechanical sense, why were they so badly designed and constructed?

[If we weren't so trusting and receptive to new ideas, it would almost seem that radionic boxes are a scam, taking advantage of our trust and aesthetic preference for rheostat dials over pendulums.]

These questions still in mind, we will end here on the dividing line between the original Albert Abrams radionics, the radionics of the Black Box, and a new, purely vibratory, psychotronic thinking that would emerge as a continuation of Ruth Drown’s efforts. Radionics without boxes, without wires!

Our study of the New Radionics is to come. EYES OPEN!

It is called trepanation, from the Greek trypanon (“a borer”), and it is one of the oldest forms of medical intervention known today. The trepanation is a classically simple operation— so simple, in fact, that you can perform it on yourself with some minor preparation (this is not advice): get a drill; press the drill into your skull until you’re through the bone (being careful not to press into the brain itself); and, supposing you survive the process, enjoy life as a newly minted member of Homo Sapiens Correctus.

Wait! wait! before you run off to your hardware store or garage, we at the Kook Science Resistance have compiled the following summary of the ancient (and modern) practice of trepanation for your further study. We again caution that this is not medical advice, but that, as always, we leave it to you to judge the truth for yourself . . .

“Since science and magic are in their early stages indistinguishable, it is difficult to differentiate between ritual or magical and therapeutic motives underlying the practice of trepanation.”

“Trepanation in Ancient Times” [1]

It is uncertain why, as far back as the Neolithic, our ancient ancestors first began to make holes into their own skulls. Some have argued it was the earliest form of medicine, a simple but effective means of relieving pressure caused by injury. Others suggest more religious purpose, from the purging of evil spirits to the opening of the third eye.

Whatever the intended purpose, it has been established by archaeology that the practice arose in cultures across the world, from Mesoamerica to Africa. Hippocrates himself, acclaimed father of Western medicine and author of the Hippocratic Oath, taught and detailed the best methods of trepanation.

However, as useful as this technique may have been considered in times past, it was discarded by later medical authorities, classed as little more than superstition. Enlightened People, it seemed, found the very idea of cutting holes in the skull to be, rather than a cure for malady or madness, a very mad thing to do, an operation best left to the primitives and ancients.

“Homo Sapiens Correctus”

“This is the story of how I came to drill a hole in my skull to get permanently high.”

Joe Mellen, “Bore Hole” (1970) [2]

A person may be forgiven, in our modern age with our greatly expanded knowledge, for thinking it insane to believe putting a hole in one’s own head is a good idea, and it perhaps will not shock persons of such thinking that Bart Huges, on reporting to the hospital ten days after trepanning himself in 1965, was held for three weeks by medical authorities on suspicion of being schizophrenic.

He was not, after multiple tests of his competence, found to be insane— though one can forgive them for not finding him to be sane in the most conventional sense. An early student of LSD, Huges had come to the conclusion that a state of permanently altered consciousness could be achieved by increasing blood flow in the brain, and that the simplest way to enact such a change would be to make a hole in the skull, an adult reforming of the fontanelle. And so he did. With a drill.

People did not line up to join his cause.

Joe Mellen was one of the few who did, a man undeterred by the flinching shudder that many of his fellow users experienced at the thought of a non-metaphorical third eye gap. In 1966, with the encouragement of Huges and the assistance of his partner, Amanda Feilding, he haphazardly attempted the procedure with a hand-turned trepanning device; and again, in 1970, unsatisfied with the earlier attempt, he performed it with an electric drill.

At last, after one drill repair and a great deal of blood, the hole was completely through. Recounting the experience, Mellen would later report: “Steadily, almost imperceptibly, over the next four hours I felt myself get higher and higher. I got higher than I had thought possible. I felt so light and free. It is very hard to put in words the feeling of change, but I felt very relaxed, as if everything would fall into place now.”

If one puts the adult norm of consciousness at zero and the LSD users at one hundred, then the childhood level [is] attained by trepanation and that is thirty…

Amanda Feilding

As witness to the change in Mellen following his second, more successful, trepanning attempt, Feilding was convinced to perform one on herself. This time the pair were more carefully prepared, Feilding using a dental drill, Mellen documenting the procedure on film for use in what would become their pro-trepanation piece “Heartbeat in the Brain” (now unavailable after limited showings; segments can be seen in the 1998 documentary “A Hole in the Head”)

Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, in the United States, Peter Halvorson was suffering from a depression for which he could find no relief. Numerous sessions with psychologists, drug trials, other odd therapies offered him no respite. Such was his condition that when, in the late 1960s, as he met with Bart Huges in Amsterdam, Halvorson found himself haltingly receptive to the theories promulgated by the now-father of modern trepanation.

And so, in 1972, like Mellen and Feilding before him, Halvorson drilled a hole into his skull. Of the experience, he has said: “I could hear a gurgling, and I could feel the shifting of volume in the brain water. There was a warm feeling as my metabolism cranked up a bit.” [3]

The trepanation, it appeared, had cured him.

The 1970s and 80s saw a small movement of the successfully trepanned attempt to promote its methods to the general public, but their efforts to spread Huges’s ideas were generally unsuccessful. Feilding ran twice for Parliament in the UK on the platform of trepanation— she lost.

Today, Feilding remains the primary proponent for the study of trepanation, her Beckley Foundation being one of the few to seriously continue the push to have the surgery reconsidered by medical experts. The method remains a curiosity, given little serious treatment or consideration for study. It has, for all purposes, been left to the kooks.

“Trepanation for the National Health”

If Amanda Feilding had her way in 1979, what benefits would be accrued by those members of the British public who elected to have a trepanation performed?

According to the Trepanation Trust, once the skull has been reopened, the patient experiences a “[restoration of] the full pulsation which was lost when the skull sealed. The pulse wave then blows up the brain capillaries with blood to the level of childhood, accelerating brain metabolism and empowering the brain to permanently regain its youthful level. An equivalent volume of cerebrospinal fluid is squeezed out to make room for the extra blood and thereafter the ratio between the two fluid volumes in the brain is altered in favour of blood. An increase in energy and well being is the result. With more contact between capillaries and brain cells the brain functions more efficiently.” [4]

Trepanation has further been promoted as a cure to migraine headaches, chronic depression, chronic fatigue syndrome, stopping the voices from entering your head . . .

To date, none of the suggested benefits have been proved to the satisfaction of the medical community. Would-be trepanners are left to their own devices in pursuit of such interests.

Conclusion

Unproved, archaic, and even laughable to modern medical thinking, the science of trepanation will continue to hold the fascination of the open-minded, as it has through human history. It may be that the learned doctors of our world will once again embrace it as a solution and benefit in the future, but, for now, we can but watch those intrepid questioners and questers who seek to broaden our knowledge of human health, and pray our heads are not exploded when the trepanned clairvoyant onslaught of tomorrow rushes over the horizon of time to seize the world from us with their psychic scanning powers.

“I CLAIM THE WORLD!” is the title of a thirty-nine volume history of Man from the Global Deluge through the modern age. It tells of the Protong, the original language of Man, and the source of universal symbols that we all speak through. It tells of the Yetinsyny, the Sons of Yeti, who have brought Man to a degraded state from their ancient nobility, who fiercely resent Men and lust for Women, but who may be redeemed by their study of Art and Science. It tells how we came from Rapa Nui (Easter Island), and how Man and the Yetinsyny have spread across the world. It is the story of Zermatism, and it was authored by the great Polish artist Stanislav Szukalski.

Zermatism was not crafted as a story to accompany Stanislav Szukalski’s copious illustration, painting and sculpture, and Szukalski did not intend for his work to be treated as a grand fiction. Zermatism is a universal science, attempting to show the interrelated nature of all arts and histories, linking all human culture to a common source. The fact that this science points to inbreeding between humans and Yeti as a source of social conflict, or speculates that heat causes gravity, or that the Zermatic Protong is essentially Polish, may surely seem to make the work preposterous, but, as ever, it may not be entirely without value, even as a mad science.

We at the Kook Science Resistance have compiled the following article on Szukalski and Zermatism for your study, and we leave it to you to judge the truth for yourself . . .

The Genesis

“Thus, when I say about myself that I am a genius, it is not self-praise, but a statement to describe a type of mind that: whatever it does in any field, it does well. A mind that peruses in many fields will comprehend better, and many things more, than one that is absorbed in only one. It becomes a universal mind.”

Stanislav Szukalski, “Anthropolitical Motivations” (1979) [1]

To call Stanislav Szukalski an art prodigy could be considered an understatement: at the age of six, he whittled a near-perfect figure from a pencil, a feat that attracted the attention of local media. Soon after, despite his young age, he applied and was accepted to the Fine Arts Academy in Krakow. As a prize student, he would win several awards for his art; as a rebellious youth, he was briefly expelled for questioning his professors.

Concluding his studies in Poland, Szukalski emigrated to the United States, settling in Chicago to study at the Chicago Art Institute. Here he found his place in the local art community, positioning himself as a top painter and sculptor in modernist circles. As early as 1923, he was hailed by the Chicago Literary Times as “the answer to the pin wheel modernism of the decade,” and from these early successes came highly regarded European exhibitions and, on his return home, increasing influence in the Polish art world.

As his influence increased, so to did his bravado: in 1928, he was considered the most controversial artist in Poland, a result of his unrelenting, blistering attacks on the academic and cultural elites of Kraków. Szukalski capitalised on this notoriety by forming Szczep Rogate Serce (the Tribe of the Horned Heart) to promote his vision of a greater Polish culture and a political union of Slavic nations to be called Neuropa.

However, despite his vehemently pro-Polish positions, Szukalski returned to America and spent the first half of the 1930s living in California, electing to create his art and direct his followers from abroad. This distance proved no hindrance to him, as his artistic output increased substantially, matching pace with the growing extravagance of his visions.

It was not until 1935, to a climate of intensive cultural clashing in Europe, that he would return to Poland, forming a studio in Katowice, Silesia, under the patronage of voivode Michał Grażyński, to produce new artworks for local government and the esteemed Silesian Museum. This period would be the peak of his fame and influence, as only four years later, in 1939, Poland was invaded by Germany, the Museum (and his life’s work) destroyed by Nazi forces, the artist himself forced to flee to America.

Having returned to Southern California, Szukalski and his family lived a life of poverty, the artist unable to show his now lost works, and, increasingly, unable to do much more than irritate gallery owners with his bombastic pronouncements and criticisms of other artists.

Infrequently he would find work designing scenery for film or drafting maps for aerospace companies, but, largely, he became more and more preoccupied with studying and developing new theories of human history, seeking to find origins of place names, symbols, languages, and mythologies. Through the remainder of his life, Szukalski would create tens of thousands of drawings and design sculpture in support of this new, universal science, a science he called Zermatism.

Stanislav Szukalski, “Behold!!! the Protong” (1989)

To Szukalski, all our recorded history begins anew in the mud and the murk, our faces stained by the residues of the waters we swam to emerge from. These “Flood Scumlines” became the tribal markings of our ancient ancestors, differing from culture to culture as owing to different currents and means of swimming, but all ultimately of the same oceanic source.

Once we had emerged from the water, we had to rebuild, and so we did, duplicating as best our fragmented nations were able the artifices and practices of the mother culture at Easter Island. It is from here that, as the world dried and settled, humanity again dispersed out across the globe.

The word Zermatism is derived from the name of Swiss town of Zermatt, the place from whence the Sarmati, nomadic forefathers of the Poles, advanced into Europe, and then Poland, to found Warsaw. Poland would be one of the elect of the new nations, the few who would stand against a new deluge and threat, maintaining and cherishing the true traditions of mankind.

The new threat came not in the form of massive planetary change, but as a great conflict— the new threat came from the Manapes, the Yeti, the Sasquatch, who had also survived the Deluge, and now came to ravage the nascent Human civilizations and pollute the pure Human bloodlines.

The World is Yetis

The Yeti of the Himalayas do not exist in isolation— their legend is spread far, across cultural lines, taking on different names in each: the European Woodwose, the Mongolian Almas, the Siberian Chuchunya, the Chinese Yeren, the Japanese Hibagon, the Amazonian Mapinguari, the American Sasquatch (or Bigfoot), the Nuk-luk of the Canadian North. They exist in all cultures, these wild, hairy creatures of great strength and power.

The modern cryptozoologist will explain that the Yeti or their equivalents are reclusive and even peaceful, only causing harm when their territory is encroached upon. Zermatism, on the other hand, tells us that the ancient Yeti were hostile raiders of human villages, killers of men and rapers of women; and that, contrary to Darwin and modern biology, from the sexual predations were born a mutant subrace, a degraded species of animal that Szukalski called the Yetinsyny [2], the Sons of Yeti.

Today, you might be hard-pressed to recognise the a-human Yetinsyny among us, but, according to Zermatic theory, they have frequently positioned themselves as our cruelest leaders, be they the ancient emperors and tyrants, the medieval conquerors and kings, the Nazis, the Bolsheviks. It seems that where ever the children of the Yeti find themselves able to take the reins of power from Man, violence and imperial ambition follow.

For Szukalski, a highly visual thinker, it was readily apparent which physical characteristics would reveal a Yetinsyny: long upper lips; sharply angled, undercut noses; a certain squatness or roundness in physique; a short apeoid tail. And, always accompanying these physical quirks, are the inescapable mental characteristics: unforgiving hatred of man, owing partly to rejection on the basis of their biology; an inborn need to dominate and possess; an almost uniform inclination to Communism; a desire to cause violence and provoke terror.

However, despite the horrors that seem to follow them, there is hope for the Yetinsyny, as there is hope for all, that the burden of biology can be overcome. In his 1979 essay, “Anthropolitical Motivations”, Szukalski argues that “instead of ostracizing every Yetinsyny in every country, that they may not concoct from one of their political philosophers, Karl Marx, Mao tse Tung, Nietzsche, Bakunin, Kropotkin, or other haters of humanity, encourage them to partake in the arts: creative Art, applied arts, literature, in medicine and all forms of engineering. [...] Why then will they excel in the above branches of creative contribution? Because, as frightfully inferiority-obsessed males and females who NEVER get beautiful human women and men into their beds, they persistently dream of the IMPOSSIBLE. To endure their mental hardships they develop extraordinary patience and such perfect IMAGINATION that almost anything they dream of, they are capable of contriving. Thus, patience and imagination, together with their ANIMAL vitality, make them capable to contribute miracles of inventions in every sphere of interest. They are the nibelungs, the little pixies, the fairies of the legends of every country.”

Stanislav Szukalski, “Open Letter to Pope John Paul II”

In the Biblical story of the Tower of Babel, the descendants of Noah all spoke one language, all shared one culture, until “the Lord [confounded] the language of all the earth”. While Zermatism does not agree with the specifics (or the fact of divine revelation) found in the Bible, it does agree that man once shared a single root language, and presents the Protong as that original language of Man, a language whose structure is best represented in the modern Polish tongue.

Just as the Hebrews are the chosen people of the Bible, the Poles it appears are the chosen people of Zermatism.

Szukalski explains the isolation of the Polish language in Europe specifically as being the result of the corruption in the genetic lines of the greater portion of the once almost exclusively Polish population of Europe. The greater German and Russian nations were, in theory, originally Polish “who had once been conquered by Hunanized Germans and Russians”. [3]

One might now wonder if this theory is not entirely East-Eurocentric, and, in failing to account for other world languages, could be easily discredited. NO! says the Zermatic theory: the influence of the Protong can be easily found in every language, [4] specifically when looking at local mythologies. By way of basic example, it points to the Halkomelem word “sásq’ets” (from which we derive the word Sasquatch) as coming from the Protong “Sa Z Gładz” (“Here From Destroyed”, referring to the Deluged continent), the Egyptian “Bes” from “Bez” (“Run”, as in “run away from this midget rapist”), and the Latin “Ilium” (the Greek city of Troy) as an almost perfectly Protong word meaning “Mire Remembered”.

Having seen just some of the evidence, it may seem to the reader that the availability of a comprehensive dictionary of the Protong is almost a criminal oversight, especially given the incredible value such a tool would have to students of history and linguistics. Whether this is a case of the public ignoring or simply being oblivious to a lucrative avenue of research, or a matter of this being a suppression of the truth by Yetinsyny forces, is left to your own judgement.

Today, outside the fans of Szukalski’s art and pockets of the Bigfoot research community, the theory of Zermatism finds little credit and less support, but there are some who have incorporated the basic ideas of Szukalski’s science into their own work. Notable among these are the Dobbsians, a Messianic, apocalyptic splinter of the Catholic Judeo-Erisian faith.

Unlike Szukalski, the Dobbsians assert that the lineage of the Yetinsyny are the true geniuses of the human world, and that being a son of Yeti brings with it great power, or “slack”. They find no fault in the ancient Yeti, and, instead, argue the Yeti were superior to early humans— a point speculated on, albeit briefly, by Szukalski himself in his studies of the physical form of the North American Bigfoot.

The fact that the Dobbsians are presently the ones carrying the torch of Zermatic theory forward may give any scientific mind cause for pause, especially in light of the fact that their hardline, fundamentalist theological positions are utterly contrary to the methods of true Science. Indeed, it must be said that in order for Zermatism to find real grounding, it must be preserved against the intrusions of the fringe religious, and brought firmly back to the domain of scientific inquiry.

It Ain’t Hard to Tell

In closing, we at the Kook Science Resistance can only stress that, while thoroughly supported by exhaustive documentation, Zermatism is at risk of being forgotten, and that, as Kook Scientists, you have a duty to your craft to protect this science from being lost. If it so interests you, the following literature is readily available to begin your personal research: “Behold!!! the Protong”, “Inner Portraits”, and “Struggle: The Art of Szukalski”

With some effort and a little luck, we may all yet see the day that Zermatism is proven out, and taught alongside the theories of Rifean MOR, Dianetics and Time Cube.

There may be at least one parallel dimension where The Beatles never broke up, but, as well we in this world know, the Liverpool quartet broke up in 1970, capping off perhaps one of the best early experiments in pop music [1]. And while the decades have passed, the strong position of the Beatles in the cultural milieu has continued to provoke the kook community to ask questions.

Were the Beatles occultists, dabblers in the world of chic Hollywood Satanism? Were they Red infiltrators, knowing or unknowing pawns of International Soviet Communism? Servants of the alien influences, powers that live and rule from places outside our awareness? All of these things and more?

As a band of their time, the Beatles played to the artifices and practices of their culture with all the rigor you could expect from rock n’ roll royalty, from the rollicking symbol dropping in “Help!” to the Al Crowley reference of “Sgt. Most would witness these gentle nods to occultism as little more than playful jabbing of new age dilettantes, but, as researchers, we must feel inclined to wonder whether there was more to the arcane references of the Beatles than the passing fancies of a pop super group.

StarGods.org “Evil Beatles” presents a frequently scattershot connection between the Polanski Satanic pact and the Beatles, positing child-sacrifice as the price to be paid for fame, a theme reflected on in Polanski’s “Rosemary’s Baby.”

Below, I will attempt to clarify those connections.

“I am the Devil and I am here to do the Devil’s business.”

Charles “Tex” Watson, quoted during the Tate-LaBianca murder trial

The songs that became the basis for “The White Album” were primarily conceived in the spring of 1968, during the time the Beatles spent in Rishikesh, India, studying Transcendental Meditation under the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Joining them in this excursion was… Mia Farrow, the star of Polanski’s “Rosemary’s Baby”.

At around the same time, Charles Manson, the illegitimate son of Adolf Hitler, and his Family took up residency at 14400 Sunset Boulevard, home of the Beach Boy’s Dennis Wilson. It was through this connection to Dennis Wilson that Manson was introduced to Terry Melcher, son of Doris Day, under the pretext of an interest in recording Manson’s music; and, while, the Beach Boys eventually did go on to record a modified version of at least one of Manson’s songs, “Cease To Exist” (as “Never Learn Not to Love”) on their “20/20” album, the dealings between Melcher and Manson did not result in any recording contracts, as the relationship between them quickly soured.

Following the “serene productivity” of their Rishikesh retreat, the Beatles returned to Abbey Road, only to face a near complete breakdown of the band as tension and bitterness between the bands members spilled over into the recording studio. Had their work on “The Doll’s House”, what would later become simply “The Beatles” (“The White Album”), been disrupted by a return to the influences of their Satanic controllers? Or, in fact, had they only gone to study under the Yogi in order to tap into the streams of higher consciousness that they might fully exploit global currents to their own dark ends?

“The White Album”, released in December 1968, would eventually come to reach the top of the US and UK album charts, and, in Los Angeles, the ears of Charles Manson: “It wasn’t that Charlie listened to the White Album and started following what he thought the Beatles were saying. It was the other way around. He thought that the Beatles were talking about what he had been expounding for years,” said former Manson follower Catherine Share, in the 2009 docu-drama “Manson“.

“Every single song on the White Album, he felt that they were singing about us.”

Soon after breaking ties with Manson, Terry Melcher had abandoned his 10050 Cielo Drive home, leaving the lease to be filled by… Roman Polanski and his wife, Sharon Tate.

So it came to pass on August 9, 1969, after months in the desert, that Manson and his Family came to Los Angeles to unleash his fury. I will not detail the grotesqueness that followed, but, suffice it to say, the massacre of Sharon Tate, Jay Sebring, Wojciech Frykowski, Abigail Folger, and Steven Parent was beyond monstrous, a working by what can only be described as truly corrupted souls.

Was the killing a message to Terry Melcher and the world that Manson’s wrath was not to be trifled with? Was it a deliberately plotted mind-control operation, designed to discredit the Hippie movement? Was it the culmination of a Satanic pact, joined by the shining lights of the entertainment world, with the Son of Man proxying for Lucifer himself to collect a bill?

We may never hope to know.

Surprisingly, Free Republic is where we find a decidedly sympathetic piece on the issue of the Beatles occult connections, the author finding no malevolent intent, but simple misguided turmoil — perhaps, just perhaps, the explanation we’d all be happiest to believe.

“The Communists, through their scientists, educators and entertainers, have contrived an elaborate, calculating and scientific technique directed at rendering a generation of American youth useless through nerve-jamming, mental deterioration and retardation. The plan involves conditioned reflexes, hypnotism and certain kinds of music. The results, destined to destroy our nation, are precise and exacting. Little wonder the Kremlin maintains it will not raise the Red flag over America—the Americans will raise it themselves. If the following scientific program destined to make our children mentally sick is not exposed, mentally degenerated Americans will indeed raise the Communist flag over their own nation!”

David A. Noebel, “Communism, Hypnotism and the Beatles” (1965)

The most commonly cited source for the theory of the-Beatles-as-Soviet-agents is David A. Noebel, founder of Summit Ministries. Noebel authored a string of tracts through-out the 60s and 70s, highlighting the Communist take-over of American music and lamenting the decline of traditional Christian patriotism. However, these pamphlets, despite their notoriety, failed to detail much by way of evidence for the claims, and, other than exploiting the fame of the Beatles as a means of soliciting donations, they made the very idea of the-Beatles-as-Soviet-agents seem ridiculous. So ridiculous, in fact, that one must wonder whether it is possible that material like “The Beatles: A Study in Drugs, Sex, & Revolution” (1969), promoting absurdist terror of hypno-dictatorship, was actually little more than another layer of subversive Communist activity, designed to discredit the very idea that these psychedelic lads from Liverpool could be agents of the Kremlin’s mind-control revolution.

Yes, those dastardly Reds.

Contrary to the view that the Beatles were agents of the Soviets, Dr. Yuri Pelyoshonok suggests quite the opposite, arguing that “The Beatles had this tremendous impact on Soviet kids. The Soviet authorities thought of The Beatles as a secret Cold War weapon. The kids lost their interest in all Soviet unshakable dogmas and ideals, and stopped thinking of an English speaking person as the enemy.” [2]

But… if the Beatles were not Soviets, and if they were not working for the Americans…

Everyone knows that Paul is dead, right? Heck, the Kinks’s even released an album about it.

That’s the myth, so widely perpetuated and studied (and easily debunked) that it is almost certainly a planted pop story to dissuade truth-seekers, but, as it is, a worthy alternative to the theory that Paul was the only surviving Beatle.

Outside his home at the Dakota in New York City, on a chilly December 8, 1980, the former Beatle John Lennon was shot by Mark Chapman.

Was Chapman working alone, or was he another unfortunate pawn, a Manchurian Candidate selected to kill a leftist cultural figure? It seems like a reasonable consideration, given his high profile and the ongoing blowbacks against counter-cultural figures up to that point in history.

Had Chapman, like Manson before him, been sent by Satan to collect on an unpaid bill? Joseph Niezgoda, author of “The Lennon Prophecy”, thinks so, suggesting in a recent interview “If John had entered into a 20-year pact with the Devil for wealth and world fame, that contract ended on December 8, 1980, with his violent death.” [3]

Both theories very interesting, and possibly worth considering, were it not for the fact that, according to Mr. Steve Lightfoot, horror author Stephen King killed John Lennon.

Did you know that Ringo Starr is an alien, and it was Starr that composed the music of the Beatles, transmitting with his human allies the UFO message to humanity? Their commandment: embrace “peace and love” before you destroy yourselves… or we will destroy you.

The author would like to note that the extensive use of psionic weapons against his person in an attempt to infringe on ability to write and release this collection of data on the Beatles has been noted, and that while the Queen may think she has spiked the trail, the truth is out there, and in here, the hearts of all man-kind.
Most theories that come out of the fringe are wrong. Hardly a point of any real contention to be sure. The world of kook science is populated by colourful wonks, unyielding grouches, the highly uneducated, the utterly mad, and, as follows, they’re usually working from cues that do not correspond to what is known about the world.

It is equally clear that we can never discount anything, no matter how ridiculous the theory or weird the theorist. It is as important to present alternative theories, to challenge them, as it is any conventional theory, because sometimes, just sometimes, the kooks have it right, and the world had it wrong all along.

The challenge of the world is to know the difference, and to resist with our last breaths when we know we’re right.

Even when we’re wrong, because, even when we’re wrong, we’re pushing the world to prove it.

Hopefully you’ll enjoy this ride as much as we do.
