There are a good few thousand people attend to StudentRND’s CodeDay 2014 hackathon every year. There is a chance that we can improve ourselves to design a application and showcase it to the world. How can we do it? Form a awesome team and build something together. Can you build it for the world? The Xbox One Still Lags Behind The PS4

Titanfall was supposed to change it all, but it didn’t work. So far, Microsoft announced that it has shipped 5 million Xbox One units to retailers. In comparison, Sony has sold 7 million PS4 units to customers. It doesn’t look good for Microsoft as the company doesn’t even say how many people actually bought an Xbox One.

Microsoft’s announcement fits well with NPD’s estimates. In March, according to NPD, Microsoft sold 311,000 Xbox Ones in the U.S. while 370,000 people bought a PS4 in the U.S. In other words, the gap between the two console manufacturers is widening.

In March, the two companies bet on two important exclusive titles — Titanfall for Microsoft and inFamous Second Son for Sony. These games both topped the charts, with Titanfall leading the way. Yet, while Titanfall is a huge success, it doesn’t seem to be a system seller as they were a lot…

Dragon Age: Inquisition Announced!

Prepare to battle your way! Electronic Arts and BioWare are preparing another AAA game to their timeline. Dragon Age: Inquisition is MASSIVE open-world game that reminds me of Dragon Age: Origins but even better. A fellow YouTube user posted this 30 minute gameplay footage of the game in while the conference was still going on, he felt that he wanted to record it and post it directly to the site. Take a look below:

Dragon Age: Inquisition is expected to release in the Fall of 2014. I will update the article if more news arrive on the minute.

More than just interacting with friends, Twitter updates their official app on November 21 with few minor stuff in 5.13.1. They include:

Improvements to mapping of font sizes to system font settings.
Stability improvements for your own leisure

For those who missed out in the 5.13 patch, they added new features such as:

Search results show content that is filtered to the type of moments you want
If you went in Discover and looked in trends, they added more trends for TV and local content
New method in login backup: Screenshot your verification backup when enrolling or generating a new one.

Google+: Update with more features

It’s never quite been a busy day sharing posts onto your Google+ profile. Google updates the Google+ app on November 23. It defines new features such as:

(iOS 7) Full Resolution photos and videos for backup
Updated design for the notification system
Location Sharing: it allows the user to share their current whereabouts and you are in control to adjust to your likings or disable this feature.
Translation in posts and in-comments
Bug Fixes and improved performance for the in-house app.

Apple introduces some major features in the iTunes 11.1.0 update

Apple refreshes iTunes with some minor and major changes to the player itself. It’s been 1 month before this update began rolling out later today. One major feature that would compete against all other music streaming players: iTunes Radio. iTunes Radio is the next generation of radio stations. ITunes Radio features:

Personalized Stations: It can play artists, songs and even album stations based whether you like songs or not.
iCloud support: All of your stations are synced through the cloud, play It back where you left to any device such as iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.
iTunes Match customers only: Your stations will be ad-free.
Song Purchase; If you really like the song that is currently playing in iTunes Radio, you can buy the song and it will begin downloading in the background.
Siri integration: Siri now takes your requests for DJing and allows you to display what’s playing.

Facebook gets a new look

Facebook recently just updated their app through iOS App Store. For those of you who have 6.4 update, you might reconsider before update to the latest version. In this version:

News feed is now much faster than before.
All your friend requests, messages and notifications are at the bottom of the screen.
iOS 7 Only: A brand new look and feel for certain devices
5 new languages supported: Czech, Finnish, Polish and traditional Chinese

Xbox One Release Date Annouced

Microsoft finally announces via Facebook and other social media networks that Xbox One is coming November 22. It has major changes that takes the Xbox One to the next level. Major Nelson recently uploaded videos onto his micro Microsoft Blog that the controller has improved over the years with the help of gamers. Also recently, some titles are going to be released on launch day:

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
Battlefield 4 (first DLC will come first on Xbox after release)
Call of Duty: Ghosts
Crimson Dragon
FIFA 14
Forza Motorsport 5
Just Dance 2014
Killer Instinct
And many others found on Wikipedia

Xbox One will also impact the hardware features. It will have:

8 Core CPU
8 GB System Memory
500GB HDD
(And finally!) Blu-ray Drive

HDMI In/Out Ports

Android 4.4 KitKat Confirmed

Google has confirmed that Android 4.4 KitKat is coming to multiple devices such as Nexus and many others. Android 4.4 is going to be available to much wider variety of phones like the Galaxy Nexus. There are some rumors that Nexus 5 is going to launch the same day as KItKat. The estimated date is October 14. There some changes in the release notes:

Fragmentation changes (Screen resizing)
Miracast updates
New UI for Gallery
New APIs
New Notification Widgets

It is also its going to be released first on Nexus and Google Play devices, then later for everyone else. What do you think about this update? Is it worth it? Questions or concerns? Let me know in the comments.

Infinity Blade 1 and 2 in 10 Minutes

Infinity Blade is known to be the best mobile game in iOS history. Developed by ChAIR Entertainment and published by EPIC Games. The story goes all the way from the first game. Here is a breakdown of the Infinity Blade universe:

Infinity Blade I: The first game basically tells that there was a person that once ruled the place. Generation after generation, a knight named Siris, an another member who wants to take power of the Infinity Blade sword itself, challenges the God King to put a fight against each other. After slaying the God King, Siris finally realizes that the sword can be also used as a key to the dungeon throughout the game.

Infinity Blade II: Siris continues his journey to find the Worker of Secrets to obtain the Vault of Tears. After 3 major battle events against enemies and being reborn, unlocks the Vault of Tears with the 3 seals, talks to the Worker of Secrets. Later, he hunts down and captures the God King. (Known as Raidriar). The Worker betrays Siris, imprisons him because he actually originally imprisoned the Worker, vows for revenge.

Infinity Blade universe continue to be the best mobile game throughout the iOS history. Despite that Infinity Blade is coming to an end with the third game expected to release in 9/18. I will review the third one soon as possible.
