I would not be here to day if it had not been for the Pastoral Counseling at the First Presby. Church in Charleston. I went through a unique situation having to do with divorce and parents. I have walked a journey that has propelled me into counseling in a ministry through my writings when I cover ever day situations that we all go through with a little humor and things I have walk the path with, as well as seen Miracles in my own life of healing and touches from God.

I only saw my counselor once prior to my parent's death and I am not up to getting back into counseling patient role yet as grief is so raw and my responsibilities are so overwhelming that I couldn't even begin to sort out what I could use any assistance with. Trying to keep my head above water and take care of lots of family right now, particularly my mother.

This counseling has kept my wife and I talking, trying to see if we can work on our marriage. Allowed me to see how my wife perceives things differently from me. We still have a long way to go, still unsure if we can save our marriage or not. I pray we still can.

By talking with my counselor, I was able to identify certain things that were bothering me and put them in perspective. She gave me tools to evaluate the things I want now in my life and made me feel that I deserve them. Also by exploring a medical condition I have to explain it to her, I found that many of the thoughts and feeling I have are normal. The side effects of amy condition are anxiety and depression. I benefited greatly from your services. Ann is GREAT!

This is one of the best things I have ever done for myself.
