Better than the iPad?!

2011-01-18T10:36:00.000-08:00

Hey Guys!
As I promised I'm here with a new topic. This series is called "Better than the iPad?!"

Most of you know the Apple iPad and a lot of you might like it. But I know as much people like it, as much hate it. And most of them have their reasons. In contrast to other devices it really sucks as the little nice picture shows:

So I'm looking for some nice alternatives to the Apple iPad but first of all you shall know the pros of the iPad. Two friends of mine have it so I'll report my personal experience:

The iPad is nice and easy to use. I almost never has problems with the touchscreen (if you clean it once in a while) and it's apps are stunning. Which is almost everything it's based on. The iPad is actually more a fun chill out toy/device and if you expect a laptop replacement you will be disappointed. It is good for reading such as ePapers or eBooks but not good for writing. No multi tasking is possible but most of the time it isn't really needed. The price is... let's say extraordinary. It varies from 499$ to 849$ (499€-799€ way more expensive!!!) and all you get is the iPad with or without 3G. The case is another 40 bucks (50€). The part that sucks most is that the 3G version is bound to a contract with verizon, Telekome, orange and so on... thats about 60€ per month for 2 years. So 1440€...

So if you want a great toy and eBook reader get the iPad. Don't get the 3G contract thing. You'll mostly have a WiFi connection in a Bar which means internet for free. if you want to work with your ipad, forget about it and listen up!

In contrast to that I'll show you my personal favorit. I'm gonna buy that thing because it suits me perfectly.

it is called the "WeTab". OK the name isn't that inventive but the device is pretty cool.

First of all it has a SIM card slot, 2 USB ports, SD card slot (for extendable memory), and a webcam. The SIM card slot is neat if you want mobile Internet and no it is not bound to any contract! You can also use a mobile Internet USB device which is cheaper! So it is brilliant for the work usage! Furthermore it is OpenSource so you can use OpenOffice and a huge variety of other apps. It can multi task, which is very neat! It also supports flash (in contrast to the iPad) so you can visit every Website, and almost every other needed format. It's resources are insane: 1GB RAM and 16 or 32 GB memory, extendable to 48-64GB + USB memory sticks. If you want you could have up to 100GB of memory. Click here for more informations.

It is availeble in stores like MediaMarkt in Germany and probably the rest of Europe and for all others: It can be ordered at amazone.com. BTW did I mention the price? 450-570€ with case and without contract!

For me the best choice so far. Maybe I'll find something even better!

See you guys

I'm back!

2011-01-17T15:17:00.000-08:00

And again guys 'm really sorry that I didn't post anything new in the last few days and that I didn't comment on your guyses posts but I red mostly every of your posts.
I was stressed out a little during the last few days because my keyboard broke... That sucked a lot!

Yep it is a broken keyboard... not exactly mine...Mine is black!

Nevertheless I thought a a new interesting series and it is called the WeTab!
I will show you what that is and what it's features are tomorrow. Now I have to go to bed. Its late... really late!
See you tomorrow!
Have fun guys!

Too much awesomeness!

2011-01-13T06:54:00.000-08:00

Hey guys!
There is too much awesomeness in some people! One dude contacted me if the firework picture in one of my posts was from me. Not it isn't. But I went on his page and that boy is a really good photographer! He has an eye for neat settings and awesome gear! I want to have some of his pictures as wallpaper so badly. Please make them CC and load them up in HR!!
So in order to let you have a close look on his pics click here.
Since I'm promoting some people here I want to let you know about two other blogs which might be interesting if you like HipHop. The firs is for extraordinary music. It is Called DaftWaves. The other one is a breakdance blog. Both pretty awesome! But most of the blogs I'm following are awesome so why don't you just check 'em?
See you, bros!

So long!

2011-01-11T10:21:00.000-08:00

So long since my last post! And every time I say so long I have to remember that awesome song from "A Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy " You don't know which one I mean? This one:

I just love that movie and thanks to that song I'm right within the next topic: Music! Another big series on my blog is gonna be music. And here is why: Music has affected my live significantly. If been on a music school and from there on I know everything about music. And I want to share my knowledge with you! Therefor I will sometimes show you some sweet music you might not know! And if you have problems with homework or anything other in addition to music, ask me! I'll try to help!

But lets get this series started: The first song I want to show you might be known by some of you: It's Carf Orff's "O Fortuna" (O Destiny) from his "Carmina Burana"(Songbook of the farmers) and it is one of the most epic songs I know! It's based on an old song book from the 11th century. The music was composed in 19th century though! Have fun and expect more Music!

Self made Game+Game review (smG+Gr)

2011-01-06T07:39:00.000-08:00

So I set in Math lesson and because I had nothing else to do I created the first and only analog Pac-Man.It is ade out of paper (yellow for the regular dots/points, purple for the ghost, and red for the cherry) and a lot of pens (for the maze). Pac-Man himself is a pair of scissors painted red. In order to play correctly you need at least two players, one who controls Pac-Man and one who controls the ghosts. But it isn't that playable yet. I hope you like my first self made Game+Game review and will come back for my second one. This one might be a little offensiv but you will see soon!

Snow snow snow!

2010-12-28T01:56:00.000-08:00

So Germany is all under snow.... Last year started with too much snow (and no salt...) this year ends with it!

Michail Borissowitsch Chodorkowski

Talking of snow! Russia spoke Michail Borissowitsch Chodorkowski guilty for stealing billion of tons of oil. Which is technologically impossible!!! Why should we care? Hmm I guess because that shows how undemocratic Russia truly is! And why should we care if Russia is undemocratic? Well, well, well lets say a dictated state is way stronger in foreign affairs than a democratic! You want a second China? Well than you should just not care! But if you want all people to live free forever go to the streets or whatever platform you might have and demonstrate your power to the Russian government!

What is Krauts Point of view?

2010-12-26T05:54:00.000-08:00

Hi there!
This is a new blog informing you not just about what is happening in Germany but also about what Germans think about the news. And of course what I think about what I think about the happenings out there! Therefore this blog will be structured in two parts: One part will be the news how we in Germany get them. The second part will be a comment of myself to that topic. You might now be wondering why I am doing this? Well it is really easy: Media is never independent. Every national media serves you the news in a way as it fits best for your country. Only if we know what every nation is thinking about the news we surely know what really is happening in the world, what our government is really doing. Only ultimate information means true democracy!
Feel free to comment no matter where you are from if Britain, the US, Spain, Japan, Nigeria, China, Mexico, Brazil, Ghana or wherever.
Greetings Kraut
