My inspiration came from 2 sources this week: a card I received from Convention 2 years ago & the colors on my chosen print. I truly adore purple but dont' use it very often so this was the perfect opportunity for me! I think you can see why I chose that photo for my inspiration! It totally reminded me of the Soot Stamping technique which just happened to be one of the techniques I taught last month so I HAD to use it not only for my class sample; but for today's challenge as well!!! Good Saturday Morning Everyone!
Yes, it's been another one of those weeks for me!!! Bianca missed a few days of school this week due to extremely high fevers & she was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection. It's pretty much the same thing that her brothers were dealing with except they didn't have a fever. The Dr. told me to watch her & if the fever persists--it has been for 3 days now--she'll have to go back to see her on Monday. I'm hoping that since she's on antibiotics that it'll subside now & she can go back to school.

I meant to use more of the blue/hunter colors that I saw in those flowers but when I started putting the sketch together it made more sense to use the green. Happy Hump Day Everyone!
Oh boy....2 posts in 1 week----I'm on a roll LOL!! I think as I get my schedule together for work & since I cut my SU! classes down to once a month; I'll be able to post more often although that's yet to be seen! I can honestly say though that my next post will be late Friday evening or very early on Saturday for my Etsy post so stay tuned to see which awesome store will be featured this week!!

As my title says; my post for today is for the Mojo Monday sketch & I am just loving it!!!! I think it lends itself to using some fabulous DSP so I decided to use more of the paper from Monday's post. I don't think you can tell from my pic but the red DSP has sparkle on it....it's really pretty in person & I can't scream loud enough how much I LOVE our new glitzy, blinged up paper!!!!! I also decided to use Love Bandit again because those animals are just too cute for words....don't you think?!!

OK, I'll stop rambling but I will leave you with a question: How many cards can I get out of 1 sheet of paper? I don't know but we'll find out as I create more Valentines!!! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great rest of the day!!!

A Day Off......

Good Afternoon Everyone!
Geez it feels great to be home & to actually have time to PLAY with my new goodies that have been sitting in a corner since the beginning of last month!!!! I hope you all had a Wonderful Holiday Season & that you have a Blessed New Year! My Holiday was busy as usual but this month will truly be special.....special in how busy I'll be! My work schedule for January has me off every Monday & I'm working all the other days except for one Saturday that I requested off to get my hair done! I will do my best to have something that I make posted here but if I skip a day or so; you'll know why!!

My card for today is featuring some of the new goodies that will be available starting tomorrow! I had to buy Valentine things because that's such a cute Holiday to me!! The new Epoxy Brads are very nice to work with, the Sending Love Specialty paper is totally gorgeous will all the sparkle & added bling bling!!! I can't say enough about all the new Satin Ribbon in the Occasions Mini---BEAUTIFUL---and the Love Bandit Clear Mount set is just toooo CUTE!! Did you notice the border around my DSP? That's the new Pinking Hearts Border punch! I LOVE that thing right along with the new Small Heart Punch.....I have the matching stamp set for that too but you'll see that later LOL!!!

I had a LOT of fun coloring these images & cutting out my lil' squirrel friend. I think he looks totally adorable standing in front of that tree holding those flowers....kind of melts your heart hugh? While *strolling* through the shop; I saw the blue necklace pictured above and immediately thought about the cards that I made for my son the other day! The swirls reminded me of the texture from that petals embossing folder and of course I HAD to use my fave shade of blue---Night of Navy to pull it all together! Reginald's Christmas Cards

Happy Thursday Everyone!
I have had one heck of a week but I've been busy as you can see!! I changed my mind about my son's Holiday cards for his newspaper route---I needed to simplify things a bit but I do believe these came out GREAT! I used 4 different colors & made 10 of each....Real Red, Soft Suede, Night of Navy & Old Olive. I had to use my Big Shot to add some texture & I also decorated the inside a bit.....sorry but I couldn't get a very good shot of that! These will be delivered this Saturday with his weekend papers---I'll be at work but I've given him specific instructions on how to place them in the bag with the papers.....I know; I'm being a bit overbearing but I want them to FIND the cards on top not buried underneath LOL!!!

This past week has given me some perspective about being able to post on my blog daily like I want. It's really busy at work & my weekends are now tied up with me being there since some of the other girls can finally take time off now that I'm a part of their team. I'm not working today which is why I'm finally able to post something for you. I don't have another day off until next Monday which is not really a day off because I'll be hosting my Customer Appreciation/Christmas Gift class that evening for my wonderful clients that have supported me this year. Geez, I could go crazy trying to figure everything out!!! Don't worry, I'm not abandoning my blog or anything like that! If you don't see a new post for a couple of days just know that LIFE is truly hectic right now but I'm still here and will post as soon as I get a chance!!!!

With that being said, my next post will be on Saturday for the Etsy challenge & I hope to have something to share by Tuesday of next week. I'll give myself an extra day just in case I get called in to fill in for someone!! Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great rest of the day!!

I found this poem online & thought I'd share with you all. I wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving & safe travels for those of you that will be on the road. God Bless!!!!

Thanksgiving Feasting

When the Halloween pumpkins are gone,
And the leaves have all fallen to ground,
When the air has turned windy and cold,
Then Thanksgiving will soon be around.

Thoughts of loved ones all feasting together,
Pleasant pictures from past times appear
To dwell in each heart and each mind--
Then Thanksgiving is finally here!

The kitchen has scrumptious aromas,
The dining room looks oh, so fine,
Decorations with pilgrims and turkeys,
And now we are ready to dine!

First the napkins are placed on our laps;
Now the prayer for the meal to be blessed,
Then we stuff the good food in our tummies,
And we hope for it all to digest!

I chose the above posted artwork as my inspiration. I was drawn to the colors--as usual--and just kind of ran with it! I kept my card simple because I didn't want to detract from the ornaments that I made (this was also one of Misti's workshop cards) even though it was extremely hard to not glitz up that white background with some sparkle LOL!! Brandon's Christmas Concert

Happy Friday Everyone!
I've had an extremely busy week with closing out Misti's party, getting ready for Brandon's concert, prepping for next week's technique class & add the fact that I do work part time......get the picture LOL!! I'm showing you a few pics we took last night after Brandon's performance @ school. He joined the choir this year and is really enjoying it & his choir teacher just LOVES him!!! The children did a phenomenal job with harmonizing their different parts & dancing along with the tunes. We had a great time.....I hope you enjoy the pics!

Diva 3D Swaps

Happy Tuesday Everyone!
I had every intention on posting yesterday but LIFE sometimes just gets in the way!!! We had a wonderful weekend and Brandon really enjoyed his birthday---thank you for your Birthday wishes for him!!! I had to work yesterday afternoon & we had our meeting last night so that's what my post is all about today!

We were required to make 3D swaps for our November meeting & I must say how pleased I am with everyone's swap! The 3 reindeer in the back are my most fave ones out of the bunch but they're all terrific & will provide much needed samples for me!!! I hope you enjoy them as well.

I need to get ready for a mandatory meeting at work today so I'm off to finish up as much of my laundry as I can. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great rest of the day!!

I've been knee deep in Wedding Invitataions all week & today is my son Brandon's birthday so forgive me for being a bit out of it this past week!!! I can happily say that Juliana's invitations, response cards & info cards/directions are all done & now I'm out of BRIDEZILLA'S way LOL!!!!

Happy Monday Everyone!
I have another quick post for you today as I have a workshop tonight. I'm really excited about this party & I'm looking forward to having a great time!!

My card is featuring the sketch from Shirley's 2 Girls & the twist for this week was to use Kraft paper or a paper bag. I chose Kraft paper & made another Christmas card throwing in some Rich Razzleberry to finish it off. I'm glad I did because this color combo with the sketch is truly a keeper in my book!!! Thanks so much for the fun challenge ladies & I hope you all enjoy it as well!

The colors from the above photo just screamed at me so I had to challenge myself to use them for another Christmas card!
