I never had much luck, especially in lucky draws.

Can’t remember when was the last time i won something in a lucky draw.

During the last D&D, i could almost smell the top 3 prizes, as I was the one holding the huge bowl with all the employees ID in it, while the MD was picking the lucky winners. I could see my ID swimming in and out of his fingers.. but just no luck.

So during the CNY lunch a few days back, I was totally surprised when my ID got picked for the 2nd prize!!!

Even though the prize is not really fantastic and definitely not useful for me, cos I don’t even drink XO,

but still, I think its a good sign to me that this is definitely going to be GOOD year ahead!!!

12th anniversary of together-ness

12 years ago, on this day, we held hands for the very first time. And started dating.

And in the twinkle of an eye, 12 great years have passed and we are now already proud parents of a cute little one.

I thank God for an awesome 12 years, blessing me with a great man who is always my greatest pillar of support in all circumstances.

Like what Pastor Kong says, the man of the house is the spiritual leader, the king and the teacher of the household.

I truly agree with this statement and I think the one in my house has done a great job.

Thank you Dear for the great 12 years and I am definitely Looking forward to the next 12 great years ahead!! ~~~~

This is definitely a very late post…been wanting to write a post on the last few days of 2011 to summarise the year 2011. But it has been such a crazy month in December and following another crazy busy month of work + festive holidays + deadlines + presentation dry runs etc…. and all these in the midst of desperately calling up child care centers, nursery kindergartens and any other available 2 or 3 hours lessons that Justin can go to in 2012.

Phew… a long list…. and I definitely do not intend to start my first post for 2012 with complaints and naggings. So i shall put them all aside for the time being now.

Justin is now already 26 months old. How time really really flies. in the year of 2011, he has grown so much and also learnt and picked up many new skills. Now, his vocabulary is no longer limited to one word at a time. Many atimes, he is able to express clearly to us what he wants, even with his incomplete sentences. But I am extremely proud of him still because i do see children of his age are still not as expressive as him.

For that, i must really thank God for a great mother-in-law, who is not just our nanny and babysitter from Monday to Friday while both of us go to work. But she is also Justin’s main caregiver, tutor and entertainer. Hahahaha… quoting her, she always tells us that she always constantly got to think of what new things can she teach or entertain Justin when she comes the next day. I guess, all these can only be done with the great love of a grandma. Love is precious. And through her patient teaching, I see Justin learning new words almost every other day. I would not imagine what it will be like if its not her looking after Justin.

Anyway, time has come that Justin should start to pick up and brush up on his social interaction skills. I have called up so many different places. Sad thing is that most of them are full full full to the end of this year at least. Sigh… so its waiting list after waiting list. All i can do, look up to Heaven, pray to God to open a door for us.

Meanwhile, I guess its just more playtime for this little cute one at home. Hahaha

Totally in love with his cheekiness, even though sometimes, can be pretty unbearable too!! Hahahahha… contradicting huh…. hur hur hur….

The other good news at the start of 2012 is that I just completed my performance appraisal for 2011. Thank God for a good appraisal and if nothing goes wrong, I will be due for promotion this year by 2Q. I believe that all these are in the plans of God, just like how he has planted me in this company in 2010 at a most unexpected circumstances. The things that I have gone through 2011 are really bitter sweet. But through all the exposure, learning experiences and tough circumstances, I think I can proudly say that God has definitely made me a stronger woman than what I thought I was, at least in my own perspective.

The Bible says in Isaiah 55:8, “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways”.

I truly embrace this and I know that in the year 2012, Many many many greater things are yet to come. And I pray that God prepares my heart to be ready for all the upcoming challenges and mountains. Many things I am praying for to come true in 2012. God knows all the desires of my heart and I believe He is the only God who can bring these desires to reality.

I am letting Go, and letting GOD to reign, take control of my life.

Kids nowadays are so fortunate. During our time, we were happy enough to have lots of toys to play with everyday.

But kids nowadays, have iphone, ipad and lots of DVDs to watch everyday. And 2 of my Justin’s favorite TV shows are none other than Barney and friends and the Hi-5 show. I have read so much about those greet and meet sessions that usually happen in June and December school holidays.

Last year, Justin was way too young to go for these sessions. So this December, I decided to bring him to 2 of those sessions, and so of course, I choose those that he would easily relate to and hopefully, he will be able to enjoy himself lots during those half an hour slot.

And so, 2 saturdays ago, I brought him to the Barney and Friends’ show at United Square. Frankly speaking, I was already mentally prepared that it was going to be crowded based on all the feedback from my friends and colleagues. And it did not help that we left the house slightly late that afternoon and we park at the wrong building. And so by the time we reached, the whole place at level 1 was already fully packed!!

It was really really packed…. so we had no choice but to go to one level up and managed to squeeze a tiny space where Justin could stand in front of the glass window and look down to the stage to watch Barney.

Before the show started, as usual, he started to make friends with the kids around.

It was not easy trying to keep him standing there to wait for the appearance of the characters. Knowing how restless my son can get and yet, have to keep him standing at the same spot, otherwise, once he walk away, other parents (not their kids), will swarm in immediately and take the space.

Thankfully, he was very intrigued by the little girl standing beside him and not long after, the show started! PTL.

First to appear was Fireman Sam.

actually, mummy wong here is totally clueless about this fireman sam. Think i need to spend more time to watch cartoon with Justin.

And soon, the main star appeared and all the kids went GAGA!!!!! All the kids were screaming with excitement the moment Barney came on stage.

I was so amazed at how the kids could just sing and dance along to every song that Barney sang on stage.

Really amazing!!!

Even Justin was singing and clapping and dancing along to every song….. seeing him enjoying himself for that short 30 mins definitely makes the trip worthwhile. :-)))))

By the time the show ended, Justin was still basking in joy and keep talking about Barney, Barney, Barney. :-)

Only regret is that we were too late that day and could not get the the pass to take photo with Barney. Will try again next year.

Really very difficult to get Justin to pose for picture nowadays. The more you ask him to pose, the more he go against your command. ARGH>….

And so, I decided that a candid shot is the best.

Will write about his Hi-5 outing in my next post. <3

first trial of sesame paste

Brought Justin to a dessert shop and introduced him to one of my all-time favourite black sesame paste.

Personally like the lights decor in the shop.

Love the arty lights in the shop. Somehow, gives me a peaceful feeling when i step into the shop.

I like my black sesame paste to go with either walnut or almond paste.

Apart from the fragrance, it adds a bit of color to my bowl. :-)

Makes me happy to enjoy the dessert on a peaceful afternoon with my dear son. =))

First time to Todai

Because of our great success of the Dinner and Dance, the committee had the blessing of the MD to go for a good celebration lunch.

And so, we decided that since it was the last event celebration for the year, we should go for a good meal to greatly reward ourselves.

So we went for the lunch buffet at Todai at Marina Bay Sands. :-)

We have read and heard many good reviews about the buffet there, especially the seafood selection.

Did a mini research before we went, and this is what the floor plan in the restaurant looks like.

What a wide selection, ranging from seafood to Japanese, Korean, Western, Chinese and many more!!

Totally spoilt for choices!!!!!!! OMG!

So of course, the first station we went to was the most popular station: Seafood and cold cut.

Yummy big fat alaska crab and juicy salmon sashimi.

Soup wise, they have 3 choices for the day.

I chose the Crabmeat winter melon soup. Personally, not too bad… average… but i think can give it a pass in future. =p

This probably is the only not so nice item that I found in the restaurant. The very Japanese style laksa, that came with Ramen noodles.

Gravy was not thick and fragrant enough to my liking.

But the fried Yaki-udon was sadap!!!

All in all, I think the buffet is pretty worth it’s price.

It was definitely a good dining experience.

Personally, even though its kind of pricey, but the quality of food and service there is definitely one of better ones compared to some buffets that I have been to so far.

I think I will be back, for sure. :-)

Just the snow crab and the oyster (only served on tuesday and thursday dinner) should be enough to cover the cost. :-))

Dinner and Dance 2011 (Part1)

Being in the recreation committee this year, we have already successfully organised 3 events this year.

And the biggest event to host this year is the Dinner and Dance.

Over the last 2 months, we have been so busy doing all the preparations from meeting with the event organisers,

shopping for costumes, make up artist and lucky draw prizes……

finally on 11 November 2011, we had the event at Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre. =)

Being in the committee of course also means that we had the special privilege to leave the office earlier than the rest to do our makeup.

And so, under the miracle hands of the makeup artist, this is what we were transformed into.

Its pretty amazing that almost everyone did dress up for the event on that day, and we had so much fun cam-whoring the whole time during the cocktail reception time.

And I think the success of the night, was largely due to the awesome emcee that hosted the show for the night.

Look at the emcee.. he is actually just only 25 year old…but he is really good!!!

Happy birthday Baby!!

In the twinkle of an eye, baby Justin has turned 2 years old yesterday.

it seems like yesterday that we just celebrated his 1st birthday last year and now, we are already into the second birthday.

God has blessed us with a happy and bubbly baby. Of course, he was also one active (should read EXTREMELY ACTIVE) baby.

There is no one moment that he was sitting still, other than the times that he is asleep.

But still, Justin has brought so much joy to us and we experience parenthood in a special way.

From the time he took his first steps, the first time he learnt to feed himself with a spoon, the first time he called mummy and daddy,

the first time he is able to tell us what he want (even though not in complete sentences yet),

the first time he was able to walk on his own without assistance,

the first time he ran,

the first time he danced and played the guitar and the drum,

and many more firsts……

Even though I have not been able to send him to those enrichment classes like the other kids of his age, but i believe that he is doing fine so far, learning at home and with all the practical learning, Justin never fails to surprise me with new things that he learnt every other day.

No two child are the same.

I think that should be true for the parenthood experience as well.

I am thankful that God has given me the privilege to experience motherhood and much as I think that it can get extremely tiring

at times, but the reward is definitely more than enough to offset the tiredness.

I am so excited for the many good years ahead as I spent with Justin in his growing up years.

Everyday, my prayer is that God give me more wisdom, so that I can bring him up with the correct values and

be able to impart to him all the good and godly teachings.

Once again, Happy Birthday Darling Justin!! May you continue to grow up to be a great man of God and may you continue to a happy baby all the days of your life! I love you loads, baby!

Bangalore Trip

This is the first time that I am travelling to Bangalore, India. And I am definitely grateful to my bosses for giving me the opportunity to be selected for this great inaugural annual Asia Finance Development Day.

This is the second year that I joined TI, and by God’s grace, it’s also my second year to attend the event.

In case you wonder why, its because not every finance person will get to attend. Apart from the finance directors and managers, and the number of attendees from each site will depend on the decision of the finance directors. So I count myself blessed to be selected twice in a row.

Actually something really very unpleasant happened on sat, the day I was supposed to fly off. But I will not bring that in to this entry.

Our flight took off from SG changi airport at 805pm and when we touched down at Bangalore airport, it was 950pm. They are 3 hours behind SG time. Took almost an hour before the whole group of us retrieve our luggage and we move on to the bus that took us another 1 hour or so, to reach the hotel that we are booked in. The Chancery Pavilion.

This is one of the best Business Hotel in Bangalore. And look at the breath-taking welcome that they gave to us!

By the time we got our rooms and checked in, it was past 12 midnight…. which means…. SG TIME 3am!?!? OMG! Tired tired tired…..

So finally by 430am, i was ready for bed. Yawns~~~ Actually we are not the worst. My friends from taiwan and Hongkong and Shanghai only checked in the hotel at India time….. 5am! So can you imagine how tired most of us were at the breakfast table at 930am this morning… kekekekekke

I believe India is one country that I will never choose for my own holiday destination. Apart from the language barriers and the food, I confess that the hygiene is a major concern for me. Prior to this trip, there are so many things in office that kept me busy and on my toes 24 7. So barely had time to do research and much preparation. So I came with the mentality to just look see and learn and enjoy the place to the best that I can.

I learnt that Indians are actually very friendly people, if not all, but at least the people from Texas Instruments India. They have taken the effort to arrange a 4 hour shopping tour for the group of almost 50 of us. Not easy to coordinate and bring 50 people around the busy streets of India. But in the midst of all, they were still friendly and smilely towards all of us!!

Of cos, on the streets, I also met some not so nice people and shop owners. And it seems that the “culture” here is that when you want to buy anything, even in those proper shops, as long as you are a non-India, you must learn to slash the price and bargain with the shop owners. Otherwise, you will be just like a carrot placed on their chopping board. And mind you, the prices usually can be slashed to as much as 50%!!!

This is one trip that I brought very little money, because I have no intention to buy things actually. Good in a way too…. to prevent myself from buying unnecessary things back to Singapore. In the end, I did use up my money to buy 2 shawls and got 2 free fridge magnets. Not too bad deal… of cos, that came after a long session of bargaining!! Kekekke…

The highlight of the trip however, is definitely the friendships and networking and bonding that was built with all the regional peers, finance managers and finance directors. Who says finance people are a bunch of boring people? After this 3D2N event, I conclude that finance people can be really wild and fun loving when we are off work!!! My bosses really show a very different side of them during this event and the message put across: Our bosses actually do like fun as much as we do!!!

All in all, the 4 days in Bangalore was a great shortaway trip with the colleagues in the midst of the busy packed schedules. Even though it was extremely tiring especially after the midnight flight back to Singapore. But I greatly enjoyed myself and am so looking forward to the trip next year in Malaysia!!! Cheers!!!

Birthday celebration

I guess when you get older, you don’t really fancy big woohaa birthday celebrations. At least that is what I feel personally.

I prefer something quiet and prefer quality time spent with family and even if its just a small simple celebrations, i think the presence of support and love are ingredients that I really look forward to.

This year, I have been very blessed once again. Cos I have various surprises and great fellowship.

Started with a family BBQ steamboat dinner at home with my parents and auntie 2 saturdays ago, as I had to fly off last sat for business trip.

So they brought forward the celebration. Totally enjoyed the time spent with my family.

And after dinner, my sister bought me an awesome almond longan cake from Rive! Yummy!!

Second cake was actually with my in laws, celebrated together with Audrey and Edward, my sister and brother in laws. My father in law gave us 2 dinner treats! Yummy! Just a waste that we did not take any picture. And so that was my second cake.

The third cake was another awesome awfully cake from my beloved finance team members!! really love them a lot, cos that day, i just causally made a remark that I like the cake from Awfully chocolate. And they really made it happened!!! They went all the way to Ion during lunch and bought me a cake from there!!! 超感动！*tears in my eyes*. I remember last year, even though I was very new to the team, they also brought me a cake to celebrate my birthday for me, and the pictures even went up to the video presented to the financial leadership team of Dallas. Our team birthday celebrations are just going from glory to glory!!

And when i was in India, I was given a mega surprise when they actually arranged a birthday cake for me on Monday night while we were having our team dinner in the fine dining restaurant. Totally caught off guard and felt a bit embarrassed cos 70 over people were there and the whole lot of them sang me a birthday song, and my Asia FD was seated just opposite me that night!! Too bad i dont have a picture of the cake with me now… will wait for the photos from the india team. :-)

And yesterday, after I landed in Singapore and went back for a 3 hour nap, Dear had a day off and we went out for a mini celebration, even though i still felt like a zombie! A result of the severe lack of sleep in Bangalore.

Nevertheless, still a very enjoyable quality pak toh time and we went feasting at Seoul Garden! LOLz.

After that, went to get the birthday present. Tada!!!

And this morning, i receive my birthday bouquet from my dearest Hubby!!! Sweet to the brim!!!

This year birthday has been a super special one for me. Simple and yet memorable. :-)

Why panic attack? Because my schedule for October is packed to the maximum limit already.

Meetings, presentations, business trip, deadlines……..

GASP-ing for air!!!

Ok, at least we have settled the venue and date.

So now, got to decide the theme and then start to source for the rest of the items.

But this librarian mother is confused with the choices available.

1 month 9 days more….

I say, this is worse than going for my A levels examination.

Cant remember when was the last time I felt so stressful, that I was practically in cold sweat.

During the warm up session, I was so tensed up that the instructor told me to relax.

“Believe in yourself that you can do it.”

The comforting words of my instructor.

Reminded me of many God’s promises, esp the verse:

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

I prayed for a good tester and good traffic condition.

When i got my test route, my heart sank.

The test route that I dreaded most.

But I just keep telling myself that just do my best.

And…. dada!!!

He answers my prayers!!

After a very tensed 30 mins, I was given this paper by my tester.

Extremely exhilarated!!!!

Can’t believe with my own eyes.

Conclusion: MY GOD IS AWESOME!

Just like the blocks, there are always hiccups in life.

But the good thing is, at the end of the day,

there is always a pair of hands that bring us back to the platform and saves us Just in time.

God’s goodness is always faithful and true.

my 2 dishes over the weekend

Being a full time working mum means a good whole 8-10 hours are spent in office.

By the time i get home, even if i get to knock off earlier than i usually do, I am dead beat and thankfully, my Hubby does not insist home cooked dinner everyday. Otherwise, i will surely faint.

Thankfully, out of the 5 days, my mother in law cooks for us on 3 of the days and the remaining 2 days we just eat out.

And so, I usually try to whip up some dishes for lunch during the weekend.

I have always love cooking. Prob because I grew up helping my grandma and seeing her cooking many great dishes.

I always believe that cooking for my loved ones is one of the best thing, cos i feed them with both nutrition from the food and nutritional love!

So last weekend, I decided to try a dish that I have not cooked for a couple of years…..

Hainanese Chicken Rice!

Since there were only 2 of us, I bought a small fresh chicken from NTUC. Bought some cloves of garlic, ginger and a bunch of pandan leaves.

Simple ingredients…

and within 1 hour….. lunch was READY!

Although the rice turned out a bit hard and less oily than it should be, thankfully the chicken turned out pretty well!

Cooked to the right tenderness… haha… ya…. in my humble opinion lah. I think not too bad.

And 3 of us actually finished off one whole chicken! =DDD

I also prepared another finger food. Rummaging through my cabinet, found a can of luncheon meat.

So I decided to make some luncheon meat fries!!!

And dada!! one of my easiest and fastest finger food!

Just cut the luncheon meat into thin strips and deep fry them in the pot of hot oil for 2-3 mins.

And there appear golden crispy luncheon meat fries! Best served when it is HOT!

I so enjoy cooking. More so when i see my hubby and son enjoying the food that i cooked! \

The little musician

Babies generally love music. And I have no doubt about that with Justin.

Everytime he sees his daddy with the guitar, he goes gaga and will insist that his daddy sit down and play the guitar for him.

Even when he goes over to my grandparent’s house, he must pose with the guitar.

And apart from Guitar, his next favourite musical instrument is the drum.

So the popo bought him a drum set a few months ago.

It actually come with the cymbals and shaker. But he is only interested in the drum.

Daddy bought him this 4-string toy guitar and his daily routine to sit down with Daddy every night to play the guitar.

And last week, we added to his collection with a professional drum set! :D

He was thrilled, though i pity our ears. :p

Daddy is now planning to buy him a real guitar to start his training.

Maybe by 3 years old, Justin can play a song for mummy! :DDD

Pak toh day

It’s important for couples to take time to spend quality time with each other, especially parents. Being parents, our weekends are mostly or wholly devoted to Justin, church and family bonding time.

So we purposefully take half a day off yesterday to spend quality time. Felt like ages since we last did that. But it definitely feels good!

Our program was nothing fantastic: Lunch, coffee and movie!

Sounds boring? Ya, but it’s definitely not something that we can do it easily these days.

We wanted to go and try out the korean BBQ at ECP, but as it kind of clashes with our plans, we decided to change the venue to Vivocity instead.

Went to this nice DIY BBQ place at Vivocity, Level 1.

We actually went there almost 2 years ago, Shabuya that was before Justin came about. But that time, we tried the hotpot.

This time round, we went for the DIY BBQ.

This is definitely something that we can’t try with Justin at the same table.

Since we had a movie to catch in the second half of the afternoon, it is a no-no to have a super full dinner. Otherwise we might just end up snoring in the cinema.

So we went for the set lunch and top it up with an ala-carte order of additional portion of beef.

Had a very satisfied lunch and went for a short walk to let the food digest.. while waiting for the show time to start.

Decide to stop for energy booster.

Though it was a short afternoon, but we were glad that we spent quality time and had a relaxing afternoon with each other’s company.

Every parent should make it a point to set time for your spouse.

This not only makes the marriage go further, but it definitely makes you treasure your spouse even more.

Carousel – committee appreciation lunch

With the success of another family day event, our MD was very pleased and asked the HR director to organise an appreciation lunch for the recreation committee.

After much searching around, we finally decided on the buffet lunch at http://www.royalplaza.com.sg/carousel.php.

Having heard much good reviews about the buffet at this place, I was pretty looking forward to it. I feel that that the lunch was priced at a rather affordable rate of $46++, because the spread was really very good for the price to pay. Currently, they are also having Amex promotion of 15% off the bill.

When we step in, we are all captivated by the ambience, because we are grandly welcomed by rows of macaroons, tiramisus, fruits tarts and mousey cakes. , tiramisus, fruits tarts and mousey cakes. I feel so happy just looking at the colorful macaroons!

The main eating area is divided into four areas: and The Living Room, The State Rooms, The Verandah and The Terrace, with the buffet spread right smack in the centre so that you are not too far off from the adventure.

Food

One of the attractive thing about this buffet is the colourful spread of seafood, sushi and sashimi. Other than the Japanese fare, the spread is made up of Mediterranean, Asian, French Rotisserie and a rather impressive dessert station. And there was mini Indian station as well! So my Indian was super happy yesterday and it was the first time he really ate a LOT compared to last few lunches. Oh yes, their buffet is Halal too. So I think the management is really good at his marketing idea! Target all groups!

I love the way the cutlery are being arranged. Very neat and organised.

Only pity that I did not have my camera with me and I have to be a bit more professional, since I was with my HR director, my manager and some other rather senior staff who are in the committee, I cannot be too sua ku or touristy and start to take out my Iphone to snap away.

So i only managed to snap a few shots of the food that I tried.

Though there was not a single dish that left a great impression, most of the food was consistently fresh with above-average quality.

I had to be very selective in my food selection, because there are simply so many variety of food there and there was no way to try everything!

And of cos, I have to end off with Dessert!

They have such a wide spread selection of dessert, ranging from cakes, fruits, yam paste, bur bur cha cha, kueh kueh, bread pudding, apple crumble and etc etc etc….

By the time we left, I was almost exploding.

Definitely a buffet that is value for money. =))))

My boy is growing up too fast!

Just like many parents, I always have this dilemna within. As much as I hope that sometimes, my boy can grow up a bit faster, but at the same time, I secretly wish that he will slow down as well. Because I am a working mum, so the amount of time that I have to spend with my little one is really limited. Does not help when I am in the finance line, so is ever busy.

Ever since Justin turns 15 month, i started to notice that he is picking up new things almost every week.

Apart from the activeness, he is now a lot more expressive and he can easily express his wants to us. Even though he has not learnt how to speak in sentences, but he always uses his body action to tell us or bring us to the things that he wants us to get for him.

In a few days time, he is turning 21 months. As of now, I tried to count the words that he can say:

Mummy, Daddy,

Popo, Gong, Ah Yee, Chek (Alvin), Gor (Audrey)

Car, Bus, Light, Fan, Duck, Star, Biscuit, Book,

Please, Xie Xie (in chinese), Night Night, Amen, Pu Pu (his cloth)

Apple, Boy, Balloon, Ball,

And does his gun shooting action and pretend dead on the floor.

These are the words that he uses almost every day for now. I think not too bad, haha.. bias mummy lah.

And on last sunday, he surprise me with another action. After we have changed and all were ready to leave the house to go Suntec for service,

he suddenly squat down and was in an all ready position for big business!!!

We immediately brought him in to the toilet, sat him on the pot and he was saying pot pot all the time.

Mummy and daddy were pretty impressed, because he could actually tell us that he was going to shit, even though we have been telling him umpteen times but never ever work. But suddenly, he was just so sensible. Hahaha.

And so, mummy could not resist but to whip out her iphone immediately.

Justin: Hey Mummy! Can you come pls?

Justin: errrrr…… (using his might!! =,=)

Justin: I am done. Where is mummy? help me out!

Mummy says one more picture first before she rescue me from the pot.

To me, this is a big step of achievement for Justin. Well done Baby!

So you see, my baby is really growing up fast. I really need to slow down and enjoy him more before he grows up and decide that he does not want to hang up with me anymore. =p

Majulah Singapura!

Seriously, I must admit that this is the first time of my life to attend a live NDP performance.

Even though this is just the preview, but to me, it is a great experience, and from now on, I would try to ballot for tickets every year.

Watching it live is never quite the same as watching it on television every year. Apart from the crowd and the heat of the sun, the rest of the preview was simply awesome. Its the one time of the year that really bring Singaporeans together in one heart, one soul.

And this year, the NDP is going to be held at Marina Bay Floating platform, and the view is breath-taking especially after the sunset, because the audience will be facing the entire Marina Bay Sands view.

It was also considered a night out with mummy and my sister.

really a very heart warming sight when everyone starts to wave the flag in sync and started to sing all the national day songs.

Many of the songs were those that I used to sing in school. Nostalgic!

Now is one of my favourite part of the parade every year.

and soon, the program started- this year, it is in the form of a musical, where Sharon Au was the main lead.

Through the form of storytelling, they brought across the development of Singapore over the last 46 years. We have gone through tremendous growth and changes and today, we are such a developed and beautiful nation.

It is indeed a beautiful and special night.

So thankful to the committee and everyone who had put in their effort to make this NDP preview a success.

And of cos, the organisers for giving away the free tickets.

Will definitely be looking forward to NDP 2012!
