o you ever feel like you take your blessings for granted? I do, it usually hits me at random times and I realize just how blessed I am.

I saw a post on Facebook or somewhere that said "Heavenly Father, thank you for this beautiful life and forgive me if I don't love it enough." I think that prayer needs to be said daily. I mean honestly, think about how much we complain about on a daily basis, how much we wish we had this or that. How often are we really and truly just happy with what He has given us?

When I say that prayer I immediately think of my children. Oh my, He blessed me the days that He gave me my babies. I am so thankful that He chose me to be their Momma, I didn't look at it that way before. I never thought, these children aren't mine, they're His and He gave them to me. Just like, my own life...it's not mine, but His. He can take my babies, my husband, my home...everything, He can take it all and I can't do anything about it. I have everything that I do because He has blessed me with it. I need to be thankful for all of it, not wishing I had a new car, a bigger house or more money. I have all that I need, I have my Jesus and all that He has blessed me with.

I struggle with the selfish thoughts and complaining every day, don't get me wrong. I whine about going to work, about only having one bathroom in our house, about how so and so has this or that and how I want that too. I can be pretty bad. You would think that after going through a tornado, having to live in a hotel for a month and then an apartment for another 3 months that I would have learned but nope! I'm just a complainer.

So I'll keep praying that prayer and loving my babies. I'll keep going to work and be thankful that I have a job. I'll keep cleaning my house with the ONE bathroom and just be thankful I have a place to call home.

Thank you Father, for this beautiful life.

I haven't posted in what, a year? That's crazy to me. I feel bad because I posted everything I could when Parker was a baby...Emma has nothing except when I was pregnant. So I'm going to begin again. I won't be going all the way back and trying to play catch up. I'm just going to start fresh. I may not post as much as I did before but I certainly want to post more.

I don't know if anyone even reads this blog anymore...but for those who do, I want to begin by sharing what has been going on within me. I'm not going to put all of it out here because its just a lot but I'm hopeful that what I do share will help others.

"Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!" 2 Corinthians 5:17

About 3 years ago I began feeling a pull to go back to church, I knew that I needed to go but wasn't sure where and to be honest I was a little nervous. I'd had some really great experiences with church that ended up ending badly so I was worried that I would find a place I loved and then it wouldn't last. Parker and I started going with my mother in law to her church until Michael decided we should find our church home. We visited our current church the following weekend and I immediately knew we were where we were supposed to be. We joined a small group, I was baptized and we became members that year. Things were going really well and I was happy again but something was missing. We stopped going every Sunday and were starting to stagger Wednesday nights, it just wasn't something we were making a priority.

It wasn't until April of this year that I really started feeling that pull again. Jesus was calling me to Him and I had begun praying daily again. I was asking Him to help me because I knew that I wasn't where I needed to be. My eyes were opened a little bit more after hearing the testimony of a friend in our small group. A seed was planted...but it wasn't until I went to the Allure ladies retreat that my life was truly changed. I had been invited and wanted to go very badly but wasn't planning to go due to other plans that were going on that weekend. One of the girls who had committed to go kept asking me and telling me that she wished I could go and I decided that I needed to go. I moved some things around, got over my fear of not knowing the other women and went. Best. Decision. Of. My. Life. I am changed. I never knew what I was missing until Jesus called to me, He opened my eyes and I was shown just how much He loves me and just how much I needed Him. I am truly a woman of God now, a bride of Christ. It's a wonderful feeling.

Here is a journal entry that I wrote while on the retreat, I read this when I am feeling low and need a reminder.

" It was amazing to know that He was with me, singing over me saying "That's MY girl" she is beautiful and wonderful and I value her so much that I gave my life for HER. I am making a place for her in my Father's house and will return for her soon."

All that said...things aren't perfect. I have struggles that I deal with every day, I worry and I get lazy with making time for Him. I know where I need to be better but in the end, as long as we strive to know Jesus more and to love Him more, the works and changes that we think we need to make to be better...they don't matter.

I'm happy and excited about the things God is doing in my life. I'm trying to live my faith daily and not let anything rob my affections for my Jesus. I just have to put on my armor every morning and be prepared for the one who will be doing his very best to get at me.

It's Sunday afternoon, Parker is FINALLY asleep or at least laying quietly in bed and Emma is in her crib but starting to make noise so I'm going to hammer out this McFatty post real quick!

So here's a flashback to before I got pregnant. I can't remember when this was taken but I know it was before August. Anyway This is what 144 pounds looked like! I had 14 more to lose but such is life...

Alright so here is a picture of how I look today, sorry for such blurry pictures but you get the idea.

I've got it all right back...maybe not in the same places as before but it's there. I'm 1 pound down this week! I was a little surprised because I was only able to attend one Zumba class and I'd eaten some junk.

Anyway I'm hoping to go to both Zumba classes (maybe 3) and be a little stricter with my food choices and maybe there will be a larger loss next Sunday.

Well folks, Emma is up so I better go get her. I'll blog again later...maybe when both kids are asleep!

Well That Lasted About 2.5 Seconds

So all day I've been trying to get things done like clean house, spruce up the blog and generally have some "Me time" HAHAHA I know right. Here's the thing, I have this little girl who loves me sooooo much that she just wants to be with me at. all. times. It wouldn't be so bad if she could just sit in my lap or lay on my chest but that's just not what she wants today, she wants to use me as her personal paci. Now don't get me wrong, I love her so much I'd love to hold her all day and I'm spending as much snuggle time with her as I can before I have to go back to work but y'all...this comfort nursing has to stop or at least happen less. I don't know how much more my uh huhs can take. Any advice?

Oh and here's a super cute picture of her after one of the many nursing/paci sessions today, I mean who can resist that face? Not me...which is why I'm going to go sit in my recliner and be a human paci while my daughter sleeps. At least Swamp People is coming on.

One Giant Catch Up Post

I know I've been missing for a while, I just haven't felt like getting on the computer. I know I should probably split this post up into smaller ones but I just don't feel like it...and I have a 7 week old grunting and threatening a melt down at any moment. So here goes!

36 Weeks Pregnant

I can pretty much guarantee that I was over it at this point ha-ha. I can't remember all that was going on at that point but I mean look at that belly! I worked until 2 days before my C-Section so I could clean the house and get the last minute stuff taken care of. I'm so glad I did too because it made everything much easier when we got home.

Emma's Birthday! 38 Weeks 5 Days

We got up that morning and headed to the hospital with high hopes we'd be getting in and done as soon as possible. I made sure to fix my hair and put on make up this time, you know, so I wouldn't look a hot mess in pictures!

Here I am right after we got signed in and everything.

After we got up to L&D and I got my sexy gown I got in the bed and settled in. They told us it wouldn't be until noon that we'd go in to surgery. My nurses came in and got me all hooked up, this was the WORST part of the process...getting my IV. I already hate getting shots but they couldn't find the vein and when they did, it blew...so they stuck me and dug around on BOTH hands until they finally floated it in. It hurt so bad, I could have slapped both nurses.

Over the next few hours I visited with family and waited anxiously for them to come in and say it was time. It seemed to take forever and I was constantly looking at the clock.

Finally my anesthesiologist came in and explained how everything would go. She explained the spinal to me and told me what I would need to do for that, I was terrified of having it done and she was so sweet. After a few more questions and giving information they came in and wheeled me into the OR. The spinal that I was so so afraid of, was a piece of cake! It didn't hurt near as bad as that stupid IV did and the medicine started working immediately. I started feeling sick and nauseous so they gave me oxygen, and then got to work.

It wasn't long before I heard my sweet girl cry and they dropped the curtain and put her on my chest. I wasn't expecting this because they only held Parker close to me so I could kiss him and talk to him before taking him. I got to put my arm around her and love on her...it was amazing.

Emma was born on April 13, 2012 at 12:48 PM

She weighed 7lbs 12oz and was 20 inches long.

Our stay at the hospital was so nice, they took really great care of us and of Emma. We were the only people there our last night so we walked around our floor and Emma was spoiled by all of the nurses.

I missed Parker so much while we were there but I know he had a good time with his grandparents. They came to visit us but Parker wasn't interested in me at all. He went straight to his sister.

Going Home and Everything Since...

We went home on Sunday morning, Emma was so tiny in her car seat. We were so happy to be home and have the 4 of us together. My mom and step dad were there to spend some time with us before they left and my mother in law brought Parker home. He immediately wanted to hold Emma.

Parker has been such a sweet big brother and a big big help. He has his moments, a lot, but when it comes to his baby sister he is on top of things. I love hearing him talk to her and tell her it's ok when she cries, or when he runs to her room to get a stuffed animal for her. He loves to give her kisses and hold her hand, he talks to her all of the time and asks to hold her a couple of times a week. He is protective of her and tells everyone about her. It melts my heart.

I'm headed back to work on the 18th and not really looking forward to it. I've really enjoyed being home with my girl and getting to watch her grow. The worst part about daycare is how much I miss out on...I feel like my babies are with their teachers at day care more than they're with their own Momma! I wish staying home was an option for us but it's not, I know I'll live through it but it's going to be tough.

In other news, I'm starting McFatty Monday back up. I'll try to update every week like I did before and hopefully I'll start seeing results soon! I'm in the middle of week two and still at my starting weight, I'm on Weight Watchers again and I'm taking Aqua Zumba twice a week. I'll weigh again on Sunday and we'll see what happens!

I'll try to post more often now that I'm getting back into my normal routine. Hope you're having a great week!

32 weeks

It's late and I'm in the middle of bath time so this will be a quick one! I'm ready for Miss Emma to arrive and I'm looking forward to this crazy hectic month...there is so much to 2 and literally only 3 weekends in March to do it in. We are planning our C-Section for April 13th, the weekend after Easter, so it should be fun. I'll keep truckin along! 6 weeks to go!

How far along? 32 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 23 pounds total.
Maternity clothes? Most definitely
Sleep: Uncomfortable, I toss and turn all night, wake up sweating and sometimes can't sleep at all.
Best moment this week: Parker telling us he's going to give the yucky boys who mess with Emma a knuckle sandwich.
Movement: Constant. She moves most when I lay down of course lol.
Food cravings: Anything sweet & salad from cheddars.
Gender: Girl!
Labor Signs: No thank you.
Belly Button in or out? Out...so gross lol
What I miss: A good night's rest (and I'll be missing it for a while lol)
What I am looking forward to: Getting the nursery done.
Weekly Wisdom: Naps are A-Okay

28 Weeks

YAY 3rd trimester! I'm so excited to be on the down hill side of this pregnancy. Emma will be here before we know it and I can't wait for her to be here. She is so strong, I'm surprised that Michael can't feel her kicks when we're in bed.

I'm really enjoying this pregnancy more than I did with Parker, I'm not miserable in 100 degree heat and I'm not swollen to twice my original size. The only things that have been bothering me are the sleepless nights due to potty trips and then just not sleeping soundly. I also get very uncomfortable standing for even short periods of time, she puts a ton of pressure on my insides and it feels like she might fall out!

It's not to terrible though and I'm happy to deal with these things to get her in the end.

Here is my 28 week survey and picture!

Total weight gain/loss: 17 pounds total.
Maternity clothes? Most definitely
Sleep: It could be better, I toss and turn a lot and then am up at least twice a night to potty.

24 Weeks

This week has been ca-razy! I'm really going to be sad that I don't have a long weekend this weekend ha-ha. We've had so much fun these last 4 weeks with getting ready for Christmas, celebrating with family and friends and then packing everything away to get ready for a new year.

To say this year went by fast is a total understatement, I still cannot believe that I am going to have a little girl in 3 months AND that my baby boy will be 3 this year. I just keep trucking along though doing everything I can to prepare while navigating my way through the mood swings of a defiant 2 year old.

As far as New Years resolutions go, I really didn't think about it. I guess if I had to pick they would be to lose those 30 pounds I started on pre-pregnancy, save money and get out of debt and to keep my cool with Parker. My patience is gooooone and I hate how quickly I lose it with him, it doesn't make anything better that's for sure.

On to the survey and picture! Please ignore my shower along with my jammies and lack of makeup.

Total weight gain/loss: Sadly I'm up 14 pounds total.
Maternity clothes? Oh yes although some of them are getting annoying, pulling my pants up 5 million times a day is getting old.

Half Way There!

We're half way there y'all!! I can't believe it, it seems like we just found out we were pregnant. The time is just flying and I can't wait to meet my baby girl.

How far along? 20 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: I've gained a total of 6 pounds since my positive test.
Maternity clothes? Yes!
Sleep: Good but not great. It's hard to stay comfortable.
Best moment this week: Parker telling Emma hi and patting my belly.
Movement: Yes, she is very active and we can already feel her from the outside!
Food cravings: Warm chocolate chip cookies
Gender: Girl!

Girl!

Shocking right? I went in there pretty much knowing we were having another boy. Of course Michael has said girl then entire pregnancy so he just smiled like "you wait and see".

After looking around at everything and making sure our precious little one was on track, she is and Dr. S kept telling us what a beautiful baby we have, she found what we were looking for. She had asked before we got started, what our names were and I told her Liam and Emma, so when she was able to see, she said "I think we have an Emma!" I was in shock. I really couldn't believe it and I was staring at the screen looking for a "turtle" just to be sure she was sure and there wasn't one!

We are thrilled and can't wait to meet our baby girl. Here are the latest ultrasound pictures!

She looks just like Parker in this one, that nose is just adorable.

She is tiny and beautiful, I can't wait to hold her in my arms but she's got a ways to go and I'm enjoying having her all to myself right now. Those little kicks are precious.

Parker was pointing to her nose, eyes and mouth yesterday and calling her baby sister. This morning he patted my belly and said "My baby!" It was the sweetest thing, and I might cry thinking about it ha-ha.

I probably won't blog again for a bit so I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Sweet Sixteen

I don't have a whole lot to report at the moment, things have been amazing the last 4 weeks. No nausea= ah-mazing.
We find out what our little Button is in 2 weeks and I am SO excited! I'm ready to start getting things picked out and get the nursery ready to go.
Here is my survey for this month!

How far along? 16 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: I'm at a 3 pound gain so far.
Maternity clothes? Yes! Loving the winter styles better than the summer ones.
Sleep: It's been better lately but I never feel totally rested.
Best moment this week: Feeling movement and knowing it wasn't gas ha-ha.

12 Week Update

Hello! I really need to stop saying things like "I'll be back on Tuesday to so a post on..." yeah because it never happens.

So I'm actually 13 weeks today and it has been a pretty good 4 weeks! My nausea has gone away gradually and I'm getting some energy back! I'm very excited to be entering my second trimester!

I'm amazed at how fast this pregnancy is going and I'm a little sad! I feel like I'm not giving this pregnancy as much attention as I did with Parker...I realize that I didn't have a 2 year old to take care of then but I still feel kind of guilty.

Next month we find out what our little Button is!! I am so excited about this, I haven't got a clue as to what this baby might be. I've had a couple of crazy dreams in which the baby was a girl but all of the quizzes say boy. I don't really have a preference, Michael wants a girl though so we'll just have to wait and see!

Here is my 12 week survey and a picture of the belly!

Total weight gain/loss: After losing 3 pounds I'm down to 1 pound gained.

Maternity clothes? Yes! I am so happy too because I am so much more comfortable.

Sleep: I sleep fine until time to get up and use the bathroom at 3 in the morning. After that, I can't seem to fall back to sleep.

Best moment this week: Not being nauseous!

Movement: None.

Food cravings: None lately...

Gender: don't know yet.

Labor Signs: No thank you.

What I miss: Sleep!

Home Again

For those of you who noticed the new look...or just read about it on Facebook, I've been home with Parker man since yesterday.

We woke up yesterday and did our normal routine but when I went in the bedroom to kiss Parker good morning I noticed he was hot. I was surprised because he hasn't had fever in a while and he has been on antibiotics pretty much the entire month of September and is in the process of finishing one off.

Parker of course was acting mostly the same and the only thing that may have tipped me off (other than his temperature) was the fact that any and every little thing upset him and he was very clingy. He spent most of the morning in my lap instead of zooming around to play with this or that.

So today is round 2 and I'm hoping that it'll be the end of it. Poor buddy, he just hasn't had a great month. I'm so worried he's going to need another surgery to have his tubes replaced, I'd really love these ear infections to disappear!

One good thing is that today is Friday and we have all weekend to rest and get well! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

I'm a couple of weeks late on this. The truth is, when I get home from work the last thing I want to do is get back on the computer. I'll be back Sunday or Monday with my 12 month post including another belly picture, I'm sure you're all dying to see me. Anyway, I know what you really want to see and that's our precious little Button! I can't believe how quickly this pregnancy is going, we'll find out if we're team blue or team pink next month!

So here it is, our first ultrasound. What a gift it was to see this baby healthy and strong!

2 years and 8 Weeks

Hi there! I'm finally siting down at the computer to write an update, I'm sure y'all missed me and were just filled with worry about why I wasn't posting (yeah right). Anywho, it's been pretty boring around here lately...I get up, get Parker to school, go to work, go get Parker, go home, whine to Michael that I don't want to cook, don't want to clean the house...you get it. I'm being the laziest pregnant lady ever.

Other than my lack of domestic goddess-ness...is that a word? We just celebrated Parker's 2nd birthday! Happy birthday to my sweet boy, he's getting so big and I can't believe how fast the time goes! His party was wonderful, he had an awesome time and loved all of his gifts. We did have one accident, Parker was standing to close to his older cousin (6) who was not paying attention and was hit with a plastic baseball bat in the forehead. I wasn't very happy but in true Parker fashion, he cried for a total of 5 minutes (if that) and was back playing in no time...purple goose egg and all. He's a tough little guy, that's for sure!

Today we gathered all of the clothes and shoes to get them washed and have opened one or two presents. He has quite the loot, let me tell you! Now I need to go through old toys and all of his clothes to put away for Button, if Button is a boy, then hopefully I can get Parker's room a little more organized.

In other news, Button has been baking for 8 weeks! I quickly realized that Button's pregnancy is and will be NOTHING like Parker's was. I am nauseous 24-7 and have food aversions that I didn't have last time. I crave salad and chocolate, I'm unable to button my pants (unless I wear them all week and they're good and stretched out) My belly is much bigger than it was the first time at this week in pregnancy and I don't sleep well. They say every pregnancy is different and it's obviously true...I guess I just had no idea because my pregnancy with Parker was pretty easy except for the awful heat. I'm ready for September 29th when I can finally see Button and fall in love even more!

Please excuse my make up free face, it's Sunday and I don't really care about looking pretty today.

How far along? 8 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Lost 4 pounds since I found out and then gained them back this week...oops. Time to start walking!

Maternity clothes? I need them but I'm cheap to buy new ones so I'm waiting for my clothes back from a friend.

Sleep: I can't seem to get comfortable right now so it takes longer to fall asleep and stay asleep.

Best moment this week: Parker rocking a pretend baby singing "baby, baby, baby"

Movement: None.

Food cravings: Salad and Chocolate when I'm not nauseous.

Gender: don't know yet.

Labor Signs: No thank you.

Belly Button in or out? In.

What I miss: Not being nauseous!

What I am looking forward to: Finding out the sex, feeling movement, decorating the nursery

Weekly Wisdom: Orange juice is awesome.

Milestones: Hitting the 8 week mark! I can't believe it's been 4 weeks since I got the positive test!

Sniffles and Sneezes

That's what we have going on at our house. Between me and Parker, I'm not sure which one of us is doing more!

Poor Parker has been congested and chugged up for over a week, in fact, we were at the doctor's office last Friday. Dr. G told us he was good to go with some Robitusin and nose spray so that's what we've done. Unfortunately he hasn't gotten any better and we were back in to see Dr. H while Dr. G was away...his right ear (the one with the clogged up tube) is infected. His left ear looks great, funny how that happens.

So we're home with an antibiotic every 12 hrs for 10 days, and as long as he isn't running fever, he'll be good to go to his buddy's birthday party tomorrow. He'd be sad to miss it! Right now though, he's getting a much needed nap, I think Button and I will do the same!

Where Does Our Poo-Poo Go?

I ask this question a lot along with "Do you need to sit on the potty?" and we're making progress! Slow progress of course but slow is still good. So far Parker has gone tee-tee on the potty 6 times if you count the two little droplets from last night (and I do) and poo-poo once! He runs to the bathroom and says, "I sit da potty!!!" and then proceeds to take off his shorts and diaper, and then carefully sits down. After getting comfy he asks to watch Elmo and after a second helping of the Potty Song I usually pull out a book about using the potty. It usually only takes one round of Elmo and one book before he's "All done" and ready to "Wash a hands" and put on a new diaper.

Last night he ran to the potty to poo-poo but when he got to the bathroom and took off his diaper I saw it was to late. I let him sit on the potty anyway but showed him his poo-poo diaper and said "Uh oh! We didn't make it to the potty in time, you need to tell Mommy when you have to poo-poo". I'm not sure he understands that he needs to tell me but I know he doesn't like the feeling of a dirty diaper because he immediately wants to take them off, even in the middle of the night. I found him Monday morning with nothing but his pajama shirt on, he'd taken his shorts and diaper off in the night, I assume because it was wet. The good news is that he didn't wet the bed!

This weekend I am going to buy him some training undies, they're thicker than normal underwear and will help him to feel the accident. Hopefully this will help him to go to the potty before the accident happens. I'm also hoping that the package of diapers I just opened this morning will be the last package I buy (for Parker) so we'll see!

In Button related news, it's all good! I've got nothing to complain about, don't get me wrong there are symptoms going on but nothing bad. I'm very ready for my appointment on Tuesday, I won't get to see or hear the baby or confirm how far along I am (I can't remember when AF came in July but I think I'm between 5-7 weeks) but I'll at least get to see the doctor and get things moving along. I'll also get to schedule my appointment with Dr. S 4 weeks later! At that appointment I'll get to see and hear Button and I'm so looking forward to that.

I think the worst thing is that right now, other than my mild symptoms, I don't feel pregnant. I am anticipating the day when I can feel Button swish and roll, and hiccup. I've even been looking (and pinning) fall/winter maternity clothes and anything baby girl related. If Button is a boy, he'll have everything he needs but if Button is a girl, well she'll need everything. I'm sure we could use some of the unisex items we have from Parker but I don't think I could get away with any of the other stuff ha-ha.

One last thing! Parker Man is going to be 2 in TWO WEEKS!!!! I might pass out. I've got everything together, invitations ordered and plans made! My baby isn't a baby anymore...he's my big boy, my handsome boy. Queue the water works.

Yesterday I mentioned how I've had major bloat going on in the last week. I can't even believe the difference in my belly after just a week. I've heard that you show faster with your second pregnancy and I guess I'm no exception, see for yourself! The picture on the left was taken last Monday, a day after getting a BFP. The one on the right is today, a week later.

Compared to 14 weeks with Parker

So yeah...I'm showing early...really early. But whatevs! I'm ok with that. I actually lost a pound last week and hope to keep losing by making smart food choices. I'm convinced that I can still eat the amount needed for Button and I to be healthy and still lose or at least maintain. Anyway that's a conversation for me and Dr. S to have next month.

In other news, my child has decided he doesn't like diapers anymore. He pulls his pants down, removes his diaper and runs around naked. He also has been asking to "Sit da potty" so my sweet father and step-momma in law got Parker an Elmo potty chair. It has been 2 days and he's gone tee-tee twice! he gets a mini oreo cookie when he goes on the potty.

I want to thank Allison from O My Family for the post about Elmo's potty song, we watch 2 or 3 times each time he "Sits da potty" it helps him hold still and take care of business, while telling him that it's "potty time"

I know we're not ready for big boy undies yet but I'm planning on getting some training undies and taking a weekend to see how he does when he can see how an accident feels.

Anyone else preggers? Showing at the rate of Bella Cullen? Anyone thinking about potty training or in the process of potty training? I'm open to tips on anything from great foods for pregnant ladies and keeping my kiddo focused on the job at hand (doing his business on the potty).

So it's been a week since I found out I'm expecting, and I can definitely say that this pregnancy has been super easy so far. I haven't had the pain in my boobs like last time and while I'm tired, I'm not totally wiped out at the end of the day.

I am going to say though that this week I feel like I've gained 50 pounds...I'll be weighing tomorrow and do see how much I've gained but man! I couldn't even button my shorts today, and even though I don't know exactly how far along I am I know for sure I'm not THAT far along. My last pregnancy, I was buying maternity jeans at 9 weeks because I wasn't able to button my jeans. I just don't like having that full uneasy feeling all day but being hungry every few hours.

I'm not going crazy with the food either so I know it's not from eating to much, I am drinking a lot more water though so that could be a factor. I have decided to stay on Weight Watchers, I'll continue tracking and will allow myself the extra 300 calories for Button, I'll just make healthy choices and correct portion sizes. I hope that I can maintain a healthy weight and not gain a whole lot like last time. Of course I'll talk with my doctor next week and get her opinion.

I told Parker that he'd have a baby brother or sister soon and at one point I asked him which he wanted, a baby brother or a baby sister, he said "No" ha-ha so we'll see how that goes.

Well friends, it's time for bed! I'll be back tomorrow or Monday!

A Good Couple of Days

So it's day 3 of knowing I have another little one on the way and I'm happy to say that the worry and stress is leaving me and being replaced with excitement. I'm so happy and feel so blessed that God has given us another little one to love.

If my calculations are correct, I am 5 or 6 weeks along. My first appointment is on the 30th and by then I'll be 7 or 8 weeks along. I'll have all of my background info taken, medical history and such and then 4 weeks later I'll FINALLY get to see Dr. S and hopefully my sweet 10/11 week old babe. Seems like forever away right now...

I think there is something in the water because not only do I have a couple of family members expecting and a few friends in the same boat, it seems like every mommy blog I read is announcing the same awesome news!

Well my kiddo is calling to me from his room so I'd better get this done and go get my morning kisses. I'm going to leave y'all with the survey...you know the one. Happy Tuesday!

How far along? 5 or 6 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: I've gained 2 pounds this week in bloat.

Maternity clothes? Not yet but if I'm sure I'll be in them soon, maternity jeans are so comfy!

Sleep: I had to get my body pillow out last night because with the bathroom trips and being generally uncomfortable I needed something. It worked!

Best moment this week: Getting an appointment with the doctor I wanted (She is the best)

Movement: None.

Food cravings: At this point I'll eat anything, I'm just hungry!

Gender: Not sure but with the blood line I'm working with it'll more than likely be a boy :)

Labor Signs: No thank you.

Belly Button in or out? In.

What I miss: Nothing has really changed yet, so I don't miss anything!

What I am looking forward to: Finding out the sex, feeling movement, decorating the nursery

Weekly Wisdom: Eat when you're hungry or your stomach will sound like a monster growling and drink lots of water.

Unexpectedly Expecting

So as the title says...we're expecting! It was totally unexpected...I was having some very crazy dreams along with frequent potty trips and decided to test. I. Was. In. Shock. I still am to some degree but am getting more excited by the hour, I already love our little guy or gal and can't wait to get in to see the doctor to find out where we're at.

We're calling this little blessing Button because we're sure it's already as cute as a button. Stay tuned for more info! Happy Monday!

PS. I gained so I'm unhappily back into the 150s...150 to be exact. Boo...I'll be asking my doctor about healthy weight ranges for me and what I'm still allowed to do diet wise.

Home Sweet Home, Kitchen/ Dining Room Edition

It's been a week or two since my last post. I guess I'd hoped that there may be some participants. I don't have that many followers though. Anyway I'm still going to keep it up and I'll still give you the opportunity to join in.

This time I'm going to show y'all my kitchen and dining room. It's not very big but i love it. First I'm going to show you how it looked when we moved in, then I'll show you how it looks now. After that I'll share some kitchens I love via Pinterest.

So that is my kitchen! I love it but there are a couple of things I'd still like to do in here.

After! We changed the color, got a new to us table and added some art!

Now for the inspiration! Here are some of the things I'd love to do in these rooms.

I adore these jars and I NEED them to hold my flour, sugar and all of that. NEED them.

I'd like to put a roman shade up on both the kitchen and dining room window.

I also love the idea of having this type of glass frame in the kitchen, maybe even stained glass.

Other than window coverings and accessories, I'd like to hang a gallery of Parker's art work in the dining room.

Home Sweet Home Living Room Edition

I've decided that it's best to split this post into rooms. I'm starting with the living room, so I'll show you my house as it was when we moved in, as it is now, and then show y'all some of my inspirational pictures via Pinterest.

Here are the before pictures:

There was paneling, and while I loved the color and how neutral it was...I decided to get out of my comfort zone after the tornado.

We also got, over the last 3 years, a new recliner, a new tv and stand, a new coffee table and a shelf for dvds.

/my sweet Cooty boy, why did you run away honeykins? Mommy misses you :(

This is the view from the front door. Although we never thought about it, this open living room is perfect for the kiddo to play.

Here is a closer picture of the TV area, I just got that table and I am in love.

The fireplace we never use. I love it and hope we use it this year but in Texas you really don't need a fireplace for more than a month or two.

So there it is! My living room area. Now here are a few things I'd still love to do in this room.

Step 1: Cover that couch. I love the couch, it was a hand-me-down from my mother in law and it's nice and broken in. All you have to do is sit down and get comfy and you practically pass out.

Step 2: This is how I want my coffee table to look after we cut the legs down to shorten it. The fabulous table in the picture is from Keely.

Step 3: Spruce up the fireplace. I love this fireplace set. LOVE. IT.

So I had this blog post planned out where I would show pictures of the house and talk about what I want to do in the future and then I was going to put a link at the bottom so you could link up and join me. Obviously that hasn't happened yet...I'm going to try to do it this weekend though so stick with me.

I'm so nosey, I love looking at other people's houses and seeing how they decorate it. That's probably why I love HGTV so much. Not to mention, Pinterest has made it so easy for me to dream about what could be with time and money of course. Gotta love Pinterest.

So that's what you have to look forward to in the near future. Tonight is dinner with the my Father in law and Step Momma in law and then tomorrow Michael and I are going on a much anticipated date and I'm hoping the day goes by faster than you can say Expelliarmus! Yes I went there. I'm so excited about Harry Potter!!!! and then I'm going to be naughty and eat my favorite flat bread at Buffalo Wild Wings.
