Hi all! well it has been a hell of a long time since I posted up here on my LJ, lots of things have happened since the post of last whenever that was! lol anyway, as I said I think this is going to be a huge update to my LJ as I feel I need to start doing this again. first of all? and the most important thing? I've got me a house move sorted finally! nervous as hell about this, but, one way or another it's gonna work, I hope anyway, nothing too impressive to pass on to you all though to be fair, things have stayed stable for the most part, I've finally got past a feer of travel which I thought would never happen! but there you go, I went over to Kent, and then from there I went to hereford, which is where I found myself a place to call my own, it's not perfect by any means! but it's a flat, or as some of you know them better as? an apartment. it's a bit of a shit hole, in terms of size and how much I can fit in to it, but, it'll do for now I suppose! I could use more room to fit things but I will have to put up with this shitty place for now. 6 months is all I need to do at this hole, so then I can look for something nicer, or come back here! not sure what is on the cards on that one yet, but, something has to happen, I need some myraculous way to get cash, lots of it! then I can buy a place of my own and have it as big as I want! hahaha at the minute? things are just floating about, just happening as it were. feeling relaxed, could use a cup of tea though lol anyway, I'll get out of here, and post this thing to wherever it has to go.

Hello everyone, thought I would do a quick entry on my LiveJournal, because I haven't been here for quite some time. I hope that everybody had a good christmas, and the new year will bring you something special. It looks like things are working well here, this Mac is doing well, got to love that! I am using dictation to write this whole message, it seems to work rather well to be completely fair. I am sitting on my bed right now, after playing a completely brilliant game of 1000 miles with joHanna. It's always a lot of fun playing games with people, especially the new game, farkle. farkle is one of those games, that is based upon dice rolling, it is a turn based game, and the idea is that you have to try and score as many points as you can in around, without pulling what is known as a farkle! A farkle is a condition whereby you gain at no point for rolling, and any points you have accumulated get lost as a result unless you Bank them. Anyway, I think I will post this now, because my dictation is getting a bit silly, and making mistakes when I write things with it. I am glad though that I can at least give you guys an update on what has been happening, oh yes, have a couple more clocks in the collection, a grandmother clock, and I also have a new cuckoo clock that I have had for some time now, it works realy well as well.

Morning all, after an absolutely huge blast yesterday on skype with friends and solidly tuned in to MintFM, I am plesed to say that I really do feel good today! happy times. posting this through safari on the Ipad, really love this device, yes, I know it has it's issues, but for a mobile tablet pc thing it's brilliant! I wasn't sure if I would use one of these things but when I was given it, I was like, oh wow, mmm, I think I will have to use one now I have one, personally I love it, and would probably have bought one in the end, because the Ipad is such a good machine for what it does, this one is only a 16GB model, but what it offers you is a hell of a device! it can do so much in the way of entertainment, useful apps, music, videos, all that good stuff that life without one now would be a bit dull! connect it to a bluetooth keyboard? and you have the mother and father of all netbooks! it will run Iphone software so all the stuff you know and love from the Iphone will be perfectly at home on the Ipad. it has a huge screen compared to the Iphone, and some people may be confused and put off by that, but don't be! you will find this a pleasure to use if you ever get your hands on one to play with.

Morning all! decided to finally write in this thing after quite a long time not doing so. sadly one of my favorite clocks Lianne has gone and died on me, popped the rachit that holds the spring tention, so it won't wind up anymore! having it professionally fixed so that it will run again, it's going to be a challenge but it'll be good once it is fixed again. oh by the way, using Ijournal again, love this little app! so easy and fun to use. now what on earth was I going to say? oh yes. thats it, my mac now is in full time use once again cuz skype now lets you host calls on the plantronics headset! this is fun times indeedy! preparing to tune in to mint fm later and check out all of today's programming! this should be fun times! just sitting here using the mac, feeling good that now it can be pressed in to full time service! got to love that! I can still get access to windows, cuz i have my little handy dandy virtual machine or I can boot cam right in to it. either way it works good! real good!

Hello all, just a quick LiveJournal entry from my iPhone, one, because I can do, because I think it's a cool thing to do, and three, I'm bored so I thought why not use the iPhone and dictate this message the iPhone is great, especially before S you can do so much with this, including what I'm doing, dictating with Siri. I know I haven't been around a great lot of late, and I'm sorry about that, but I guess life takes over sometimes. What with doing things on Mint FM extra shows, all that kind of jazz. Anyway, I will post another entry from my PC later, when I can talk about more stuff I've been doing. Like the pups for example.

Not feeling my best!

Not feeling my best today! Have a headache, and that makes me feel kind of "bleh!" that's the best way I can describe this. I am writing this using the Ipad2 which I have to say with 15% battery left isn't going too badly to be fair. I don't know if this application, the official livejournal app that is, is all that great but it does let you post entries, so that's something at least! I don't know how to view my friends page, I can see the text on screen but bvoice over can't do that! bleh! oh well never mind, at least I can ramble in here whenever I want to that is. lol! here is hoping this head ache will go away! I just hate having them! lol. wow, just realised something it's been about 4 years since I did my foot in! 4 years! that's impressive! I don't have my old entries from back then, but it's worth knowing that Lulu_bear whatever her livejournal is these days does still have the entries. I had a looky at them the other day, just amazed at how things change over time, and where people go and what they do etc. looking back at some of that stuff I don't miss any of it to be fair, some times were good, some were not, but you can't have it all ways can ya? it's hard to imagine that I have had quin for almost 4 years, that old pc still ticks along quite well, yeah he has issues from time to time but don't all pcs? I would think so. anyway I think I can safely say I found my new way to post in here, I love this Ipad! makes a fantastic netbook, yeah you can't download files to it like you can a standard net book but what you can do with it is quite amazing to be fair! it has a lot of stuff to offer, it's large screen size although a little strange at first can be used quite well, the only thing I hate about it and it could be an IOS thing is that the app store isn't the best. for accessibility, although I have had a thought about that, and come up with a realisation that I may have to select an option or 2 on the search results page to make certain things work better? I don't know! I just don't understand why voice over won't read the Ipad specific section but it will read the universal apps bit? that to me is really oddness in the extreme! ah well, I am sure there is a perfectly simple explanation as to how that all works, he he he! ok I think I have to clarify something here, just re-read this entry and when I said I don't miss any of the times from 2008 that's not all true, the things I do miss though are the down times, and my bad foot! we did have a few good times like starting the black velvet band and all that type of thing, podcasting? mmm, don't miss that at all, because it's a lot of hard work and time has to be spent maintaining it all. sadly those podcasts are gone now, and I doubt I will ever bring them back again. for tech check stuff? we always have the spice rack and stuff hosted by Naama and geoff, it's a good show that one is. http://www.mintfm.net on a tuesday night is where you will find that one! it has taken me all this time to write this and my battery has only dropped to 12% that's not bad eh? mind you the screen has been constantly active, so that does wipe it out quite nicely, but compare that to my Ipod touch which would die at the drop of a hat! well there is one piece of news updating you on the clock room, jeremiah died! not majorly I think he just needs the pendulum support rod fitting back on the suspention at the top of the movement, it has potential to run again so that could be good time ahead. today I think I will pre-record another choice mints show. I have to have it by the 14th february, so that's relatively easy to do. only need about an hour to do this, so yeah that'll be good, it's now quarter to 9 according to my chime clock in our dining room which can be heard through my bedroom wall! he he he he! anyway guys I will go and post this before I totally kill my battery on this amazing little tablet/oversized Ipod touch/netbook/writing slate whatever you wanna call this thing! he he he!

Morning all, been quite some time since I posted in here! isn't it? lol well I think so, lots of things to tell you guys about, having acquired me a new Iphone 4s, I feel I'm finally getting somewhere! navigon works better now than it did on my old 4, although there's nothing wrong with the older Iphone 4, the 4S is much better and faster! I'm sure those of you who have had the older Iphone 4 and gone up to the 4S will appreciate this greatly! yes, I know the battery life isn't what the older 4 used to be, particularly on the juice pack battery case! but it's gonna probably be fixed soon! apple are aware of the battery issue, and they're sorting this out soon as they can! well I hope anyway. for those wondering "what the hell is the juice pack? well let me tell you a little about that. the mofie juice pack is an absolutely amazing bit of hardware, combine a battery with a 2000 miliamp capacity with a sturdy phone case, and you have a super phone! it's designed such that the Iphone is always nesseled on top of the dock connector, so that when power is supplyed through the battery by means of the switch? the Iphone 4 will charge, or it'll just keep topped off, thus boosting battery by up to just over double! the idea is that if you're using the phone heavily, say for navigation, via navigon or any sat nav of your choice, you can be assured that your Iphone has enough juice to go right ahead working completely faultlessly! you have to love that, you really do! if I really really get serious, I have some duracell powerhouse packs, which can yet increase I[phone batter still further! so, power house plus juice pack, plus Iphone? no worries about getting caught out any time! I've heard some sad news too, about a couple people I know, one of which no longer follows me on twitter, but I won't go in to that anymore! there are happy times, there is for example a few new people I have befriended, and that's always a good thing to do. anyway guys, I think I'm done woffling!

ok, just woke up not quite 9AM here I feel about as good as I can, given the circumstances, I have to find all my mac stuff for tomorrow and get it ready! this is not going to be fun what so ever! hmm, oh well never mind, I may have to see about downloading miranda again for the windows side of my mac since that's where I will broadcast from. I don't feel motivated though today, I planned on putting stuff in strategic places when we moved so I could get my imergency broadcast rig running quickly, this has totally failed me! sad face. there's nothing for it but to just hope and pray that we can do something useful in the next few hours that make this day up and get all of the parts together,

Morning fellas! just woke up a few minutes back, hoping today is going to be a good one, now we know where we are actually going, in terms of house move, all is good! at least they got that bit right eh? lol thinking about random shit here, gotta move some music around on my drive and get a few rare songs catigorised and shifted about a bit, then we're set for business! yup! that's me for today, fixing stuff up, sorting this mess of a pc out ready for the show tomorrow, oh looky it's 9AM and I only just started this? lol anyway gonna shoot.

afternoon or evening is it? lol just sat in the bedroom on the mighty mac, just contemplating a few things, had a bit of fun earlier talking to Amy, we discovered the new air drop facility, very very cool indeed! they have done some good stuff there have apple, now I am trying to see if there is a way to remotely access my other mac from a desktop or something, so I can do fancy things with it. this last while since I updated this LJ has been pretty tough going in places, we're still waiting for house move details and all that random shit hahahahaha! so far? nothing new has occured, apart from installing IOS5 and a Lion update on my macs and I pod and phone respectively. the server that hosts the IOS updates got seriously bogged down to the point where not many people could actually get in to do anything! lol can you believe that? apple's server went crunch! lol took me ages and ages and ages to update my I devices to IOS5, but now it's done I really love it. so many things it can do, IOS5 has so many unique things in it that I won't even be able to begin to tell you! anyway fellas, I think I will go for now and post this little entry.

Morning people, feeling quite relaxed today, just woke up a few minutes back I need to do a bit of stuff here today, so far? so good! feeling good with the world and no mistakes about that! just patiently waiting for the new IOS5 release, have heard that you can do a lot of nice stuff with it now, and that it has some nice new navigation tools to hand with voice over such as pressing H to get to headings, this is a feature I have loved on the mac since I got it in 2009, and I continue to use that quite a lot to be honest. yesterday was a fun show to say the least! it really was, all I need to do really with quin now is make sure that I update the video driver later, I seem to think that a lot of the issues are to do with the fact that they haven't been updated in god knows how flipping long! I'm usually good about updating drivers and all that good stuff but quin? hmm, didn't get to doing that for some reason lol you see, on the mac? you don't hardly need to update upgrade anything much it's all just there and gets sorted out when the new OS gets released etc, often times they release new mac hardware at the same time they release the new Os so people buying a new mac can only run the OS version down to what came with the machine, the only exception to that was my old Imac, which came with OSX10.6.1 and I got it to run OSX10.6.0, that meant that the brightness control for the screen didn't function till I updated past that version but the rest of the hardware was in perfect harmony with itself. so that's always a good thing in my book! I'm kind of sad that old Imac died but I am loving this new Core I5 based one, it's processor speed is lower, at 2.7ghz but at the same time? it actually is more powerful due to the internal workings of the new Sandy Bridge Processor chips they use. a 2.7ghz sandy bridge probably is about the same as a 3.6 ghz core 2 duo! I don't 100% know this for hard fact but I am guessing it could be like that. anyway, I is out of here, gonna go and shove this on the old LJ just cuz I can hehehehehe!

ok guys, last night's apple thingy was quite good! thanks to the people who were hosting it and giving us a lot of info that they could get, I learned that you can do some seriously good stuff with scripting like if you need to shut down dropbox, you so can do that dropbox isn't the easiest thing to deal with on the mac, but it does afford some scripting capability so learning apple script sort of right now, managed to write 2 scripts, one of them starts my used frequently apps, adium, skype, and yorufukurou, then the second script tells all three of those applications to "sod off" in other words quit, die, go bye bye! all at the press of a button! I just go to my doc, select the app called start all, then I can just run 3 apps in one go! want to kill them? no problems! just run stop all in the same way? die! gone! all 3 of them! apple script can be a bit of a bugger to learn but I think I will get the hang of it one day, I have at least made it so I can pull apps up and kill them using it hehehe it's very cool indeedy!

Morning all just about to get up, nothing to tell you really apart from now I think we know the moving date is the 21st not 100% sure on this one yet but so far? it seems to be that way. nothing else to really write about, feeling good, that's about all I can say. today I need to make an appointment with my mixer board and broadcasting rig, because I have to pre-record a show! bleh bleh bleh! it's timing is bad because we can not do it after I have moved because the net will not be up and about for god knows how long! and I feel certain people will try to block me from putting on an internet connection, well what they do not realise is that they have one themselves, so all I will do is just sort of steel the wireless key off of it one day and then connect using my mac! ha! ha! ha! dad said something to me yesterday about it, and having to follow his rules, uh, no! not a chance in hell if he is gonna make me use the internet in a limited fassion? then I will just have to fight that one just cuz, what he does not realise is that I know more about this stuff than he does, so how is he gonna know anyway? he's not so that has successfully made him shit on his strawberies! oh crap I can't spell! lol! anyway I think I will have to go and post this cuz I just got informed that adium needs my attention! lol

ok fellas, I think I do have to admit that I am wrong! I tried to write in my LJ with this Iphone, and I was told that it couldn't be done using the full site so I forced it to do it anyway, result? couldn't post the entry! oops! bad me! lol, I still think it's not quite right in all fairness, but it's working to the best of it's ability, anyway I won't be around much today, got a lot of stuff to get done, not limited to catching up with email, and, other such nice stuff! heheh! moving more furnature and buggering about in general, I am using the Iphone, in conjunction with my bluetooth keyboard that I happened to have spare! you have to love having spare pieces of equipment, got a spare keyboard and mouse for my Imac, due to the fact it came with new ones! so I am a happy bunny about that. yeah this keyboard is a bit knackered, but it does work alright for what it is. I only intend on using it with mobile devices now, just cuz it's so easy to use voice over with a bluetooth keyboard. anyway, don't worry about me today, just got a lot to do but I will try to be around tonight.

Hi guys Amy put me on to a new LJ client called X journal, the accessibility seems to be rather good on this to be honest. I'm just listening to amanda on her show, she's cranking out those tunes huge time! feeling good about myself, just chilling out here with Amazing Amy on skype, feeling like things just can't go wrong, the only way is up! oh yeah that's how it goes I think, I don't know where the future is gonna take me right now? but I like what I have right now, feels good and happy! you can't beat it when you feel good like this let me tell ya! any other news you should know? well right now? I don't think there is anything of interest, dad got himself a spear and jackson weed whacker or as we call them a strimmer, basically it's a petrol driven thingy and it needs a bit of work to perfect it's ability to run smoothly, but at least it will run! my hands are a bit sore from pulling the chord to try to start it up, but, at least we managed to make the damn thing run! anyway, as I said it needs work but I think it can at least run properly when it's propper fixed etc. anyway, gonna go and post this out of here, nothing else to say really.

Morning guys, well I think it is time to post in here again, really not sure if I should upload my show archive from yesterday, but then again, perhaps I should? feeling about as good as I can today, still not got any more idea on the house move and when that is going to happen, I don't think we will find out anything till the week before we have to go! spoke to a few people on skype yesterday, finished off the processing of the music beds for the show, hoping one day to find some more, but right now having over 600 of them is quite enough! sitting in bed with my wireless keyboard, using Ijournal, this little application although old is rather good! got Amy on to Lion last night, sadly we had to lose the bootcamp feature of her mac to pull it off. but now she is upgraded just like we are! it means that boot camp will have to be put back on again but that is no biggy! in fact, it hardly takes any time now to be honest. now that Lion is running native 64 bit, it means that Amy's mac probably will run far better! no more need to have it running in 32 bit mode, which slows down performance anyway due to the fact that it has to switch in and out of 64 bit quite a lot, resulting in the slight possibly noticeable lag at times, I am happy with Lion to the most part, yes, granted it does have bugs? but it's actually not that bad once you scratch the surface, and get in to the finer points, learning to cope with the weirdness of it. I've got me a cup of tea right now, gonna have to go on quin today, and do the playlist for tomorrows show! that's going to be fun! I did quite a bit to it yesterday, but to be fair? it's a long job to do. although tomorrow is li's birthday so the show will be an extra special one! oh my word yes!according to the nice voice on my mac? it's just turned 8:30! go me! I think I may have woffled enough here but anyway, I think I will go and scale mount twitter and facebook hill hahahahaha! catch ya on the other side fellas!

well guys as the subject line says I think another good day is going to happen, just talking to Maria on skype, it's early her time but you know? when sleep doesn't happen there ain't a lot you can do about that. I feel lifted up beyond all lifted, today, like nothing is going to stopp me, I am honoured to have people like maria and Amy in my life, those guys just make me feel happy I don't know if I can explain it, so I won't, they're 2 fantastic people out of a whole bunch that I know, for those I didn't mention in this LJ you guys also rock! I just love to spend time with the friends that matter to me, and just lately I've been feeling a bit down but it just is something when people you know can lift you up like these guys are doing. now I'm just woffling because I can woffle hahahaha! I found this amazing piece of music the other day, on youtube, well actually it wasn't on youtube where I found it, but I was in the process of looking through my music beds that I am preparing for the Sound experience, which we use between songs to provide us with ambience and prevent dead air if something should mess up. anyway this particular tune called klisje paa klisje written by a fella called walkman, that's not his real name by the way it is the name he goes under on the demo scene. this tune is taken from a demo called the hunt for the 7th october, it is about 10 or so minutes long and it is so emotionally charged, happy and sad all in one tune! in my view it is a master piece in the extreme sense of the word! you know sometimes you hear a tune that just impacts you in some way? well this one does just that! I don't know if this link will work? but here we go anyway. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5VAGvmz0b4, ok that link probably won't do the tune justice, because it was played on an atari STE, which doesn't render the tune in the way the original commodore amiga did, it is the same tune exactly but differences in the hardware it is played on will make things sound different. it's not in stereo either like the amiga version but for what it is? it's basically the same. the sounds and the way they are played are exactly a match for the original just not the quality it seems a bit fizzy sounding, but you get the idea of it, notice the tempo and mood changes throughout the piece, the emotion the guy put in to this piece is amazing! now here is a version of this same tune, note, not the whole thing, but a good 6 or so minutes of the main piece is done, this one goes up as far as the piano rock solo but the heavy rock part and the sad part are sadly missing, I would have loved to hear how those would have been reproduced, but sadly I don't think that's gonna happen, but here is the link to the reproduction I am actually thinking that I am going to play this one on one of our sunday shows, just because it is so good! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcKKpz90Lj4 as you can see? this sounds totally different to the amiga produced version using real instruments for the various parts of this tune, it really could have been made in to a top 10 hit in my view! sadly though that would probably not happen in the real world, but oh my word I so would buy this track if it was made in to a comersial success! ok I am done here, time to get out of this LJ land and do some other stuff!laters all.

well guys, I am talking on skype with the one who makes me very happy, that being blackened_sky8 she just always makes me feel good, and happy, which is always a good thing to have in your life, even if nothing happens more than that, right now? I don't care, I share part of my life with someone who I consider very dear to me and that's always a good thing in my book! top friends are hard to find, and this one is one such person, perhaps life one day may change that status, who knows? but right now I am just happy as I am, the thing that is annoying me though is that Qwitter is going to shut shop, problem with that? the guy who runs it isn't going to finish off the version 5.0 release, he's going to leave it at version 5.0 beta 5! that to me is not the professional way to go about things, but there you go, I suppose he has his reasons for doing this, but why not clean it up and make it a public release? seriously! would be much easier if he did do this, then at least he can wind it down knowing he has taken it as far as he can go! anyway I am gonna go and post this now, if you don't see another entry? then you know that blackened_sky8 has killed me! if you see one? then you know it is me and not a ghost! lol now I have no idea what happened to my mac just now? it stuttered and the skype call vanished! it's alright now though Amy is back on with me! yay and double yay! that is good! anyway I am gonna go now, having read the entry to her and not got killed? that's a good sign right there! ok, time to hop!

Hi guys, thought I would post on here, something very cool has happened today, I don't know if I ever mentioned it in my LJ but my cuckoo clock is fixed, only cost a tenner to get it done but I only paid 4 quid for it anyway hahaha, so a total of 14 quid to make it run again? not bad! go me! anyway I've been out most of the day, I did plenty of audio boo stuff it was muchly fun lol, I am now using Ijournal to post this nifty little entry, Ijournal needs a bit of help to get working under Lion, the new OS for mac computers, it basically needed the disk image converting to a newer standard, but once done? it worked I am talking to blackened_sky8 and ah_1985 and we are just doodling about doing our own thing and talking on skype, lol I hope these lj user thingys actually work, if not? then I broke it hahahahaha!

feeling happy, talking to someone that means a lot to me.

Morning, just decided it would be fun to post to my LJ I do realise I need to get myself running again with Ijournal, just cuz it is a cool app to have, talking to Amy on skype, I think she's amazing, she says not! but I think so, so there hahahahaha! today I hope to do a tonne of cool stuff including sorting out my email and stuff like that, I am also going to attempt to use LJ on my phone too! LJ is cool, in all ways that LJ can be! yay! gotta love that. also got to love people who you get on really well with, yeah I know I may get killed for that, but I think that will be fine lol better to die happy if that is going to happen than not to. lol anyway I am out of here, bacon butty is calling me! it smells really really nice too!

Hi fellas and fellerettes, well it has been too long again has it not? well the last post you saw was way early this year, lots of things have happened, my old 21 inch Imac went and died! hugely the DVD drive carked it to start out with, so they fixed that, only to find the fan was freakishly high noise levels when it came back and I did not like this at all! we had a tonne of other issues with the silly thing, but it's alright now cuz eventually they wrote it off, and made it die, so now I have a mid 2011 Imac 27 inch, with the new 10GBPS thunderbolt technology, for which I have no hardware right now! lol the idea sounds good though, super fast USB anyone? lol given that USB 2.0 is about 480mbps, and USB 1.1 was 11mbps tops having 10gbps is pretty damn fast if you ask me! well the radio station thing has all changed since I last used this, hop on over now to http://www.mintfm.net the fresh new sound of something new and good. well I think I should pop my ass out of here and to bed I should go, sending hugs to those who need or deserve them, Starburst85 amanda,and blackened_sky8 if only you could know just what you guys mean to me, anyway I am gonna go to bed now, feeling happy though
