This is a good, make-ahead dinner in a crockpot.

Chicken in the Crockpot

Ingredients:
Frozen chicken pieces (I used 4 thighs and 5 legs)
1 large can of Cream of Chicken Soup

Chocolate Chip Cake Mix Cookies

Ingredients:
1 package yellow cake mix
1/2 cup oil
2 eggs
2 tablespoons water
1 small package of semi-sweet chocolate chips
Optional:
1/2 cup of chopped nuts

Directions:

Beat eggs, oil water in bowl.

Add cake mix and blend together.

Stir in chocolate chips (and optional chopped nuts).

Spoon onto cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until edges are brown and center is puffed.

Quick Note:
You can make several different types of cookies with this recipe. Next time try some of my family's favorites:

Chocolate cake mix and white chocolate chips

Let me share my quick tip with you for getting soft, plump raisins in all your desserts.

Measure your raisins for the recipe you are using them in. Pour them into a small sauce pan and cover with water. Gently boil until plump and juicy (approximately 20-30 minutes). Drain and cool.
*Plan ahead so you have time for them to cool or cook them while getting all your ingredients together.

Here it is now--mom put her foot in the pic "just to show 'em how big it really is".

So, here it is:

Kristy's Fern Recipe

Put 1 scoop of Peter's Professional All Purpose Plant Food in your watering can and water (till runs out of the bottom); note the day of the week

Water everyday (or every other day in milder climates; here in Florida-EVERYDAY until cooler) with just water

The next week on same day (remember noted day of the week), put 1 heaping tablespoon of Epsom Salt directly into center of fern.

We may even be skilled in pretending to feel moved with compassion when we hear of other's needs, or to become indignant when we learn of injustice. But God calls us to REAL and SINCERE love ("let love be without dissimulation") that goes far beyond pretense and politeness. Real love requires concentration and effort. It means helping others become better people. It demands our time, money, and personal involvement.

I found a fitted tshirt for only $5.99 and used my 40% off coupon which made it only $3.59. I got 1 size bigger just in case it really shrinks up in the wash and I don't want it too clingy.

I was very surprised at how cheap the adhesive was at Hobby Lobby. It was only $2.99 and I will have to see just how many shirts I can do with this size bottle. I got the last one so it must be pretty good, right?

I picked up this pack of glitter to try. It was only $3.99. Hobby Lobby only had these colors and 1 other pack with silver, gold, black and red. I decided to try the bright colors first. There was another type of washable glitter. It was sold in individual bottles or a big pack of all different colors for $29.99. This wouldn't be too bad if you are planning on doing several shirts--and don't forget to use your 40% off coupon for this!

Now I have to see if I have any freezer paper and try to figure out my design for my shirt. I am going to get out my Gypsy and see what I can come up with a little later. I plan on cutting my template out with my Cricut. You can draw out your design or let your child even draw something.

I hope everyone will get all of their supplies and join me for this project of the month. Please post your comments and pictures as we work through this project together.

Welcome to Kristy's Cake Walk

I am so excited to finally have a place to put all of the ideas, projects, recipes and creations that I have in my head!
