Back in early August, the Indiana News Center reported that visitors will notice welcoming changes to the famous Labor Day car auction held in Auburn. The auction had been under scrutiny because of owner Dean Kruse failure to pay back the sellers. The auction, under new management promised to deliver big on changes and make the auction even more refreshing and special. I was just curious to know if they followed through on their promise.

Fort Wayne’s Business Weekly reports that Dean Kruse is hard at work trying to make amends on all of his outstanding debts. He is working adamantly to try and pay off what he owes and he is eager to get back to work. “I want to die working. I think the longer I work, the better it is for me,” Kruse said.

Car collectors around the world can rejoice. The annual collector car auction held in Auburn each year was in severe jeopardy due to Dean Kruse’s failure to pay consignors. However, RM Auctions is now a saviour in a lot of eyes because they have purchased the 235-acre auction park from Kruse and will have the traditional Labor Day auction will resume as scheduled.

This Labor Day weekend surely won’t be the one Dean Kruse is accustomed to. A Canadian company, RM Auctions, has purchased his 235-acre auction park and will be taking over his car auction. Meanwhile, poor Dean Kruse is still working on trying to pay back the dozens of people he owes money to.
