Just to show how successful other auto auctions are and how Kruse could have been if he kept honest business practices, Barrett-Jackson recently held one of the world’s premiere auction in Florida this past weekend. Every year the car attracts gear heads of all kinds as well as celebrities to check out any and all cars that are on show and for sale.

This isn’t just an auction, there are also seminars, displays and vendors there as well looking to show off their services and wares. Last year the company recorded over $20 million in sales and had over 55,000 visitors.

It makes you wonder what Kruse was thinking, did he think no one would notice? I’m sure he is kicking himself now that he is missing out on the auto auction business these days.

Once again Kruse will be feeling the pain of loss this year when he must miss out on yet another promising auto auction due to poor business decisions. The annual Labor Day auction this year ran by Auctions America by RM is planning on bringing in some more classic motorcycles to include in the large Labor Day event. Glenn Bator heads the new motorcycle division is planning on bringing in up to 400 motorcycles in the sale in September.

It’s hard to tell how much Kruse is missing out on all of these large events that he usually hosts but apparently he is said to make some sort of move this Spring but we have yet to hear anything yet.

A lot of people don’t really know the full history of John Deere which is why Rick Walker and the Maumee Valley Antique Steam and Gas Association would like to change that. They will be hosting an antique tractor show where they used to hold it at the former Kruse Auction Park in Auburn but the new ownership has changed that. Just because they changed the venue doesn’t mean it is going to be smaller, it is going to be bigger.

This just goes to show how much has changed and will continue to change now that Kruse no longer owns the auction park.

The same company that bought out Dean Kruse’s Auburn Auction last year has made partner with a company from Pennsylvania to host car auctions in the Spring and Fall. Now that there will be auctions at Kruse’s old stomping grounds in the Spring and Fall what kind of comeback do you think Kruse plans on making this year?

There are some who question what other ventures Mr. Kruse can explore in the automotive industry because of the severed ties he has created with so many people in the business. Not saying it’s not possible just saying it’s going to be tough to bounce back from the financial woes in recent years.

If you haven’t heard by now things are looking up for car auctions. 2011 is expected to be a very promising year for auto auctions around the nation. Even with high end car sales generally going down because of the economy a lot of auction houses saw a lot of business in 2010 and see it going up from there this year.

Unfortunately Mr. Kruse will have to sit the better part of this year out. He has stated that he plans on making a comeback this Spring but still needs to pay off a lot of debt and is still receiving lawsuits as recent as last month. So how do you think he’s going to comeback, if he even does at all?
