It's been a long couple of months. If you didn't know, I had my baby 5 weeks early and she has been at Cooks NICU for 37 days. She cam home yesterday & we are working on getting back in the swing of things. I have some catching up to do & plenty of pictures to post. Lots of changes have been made since the baby came. One would be Miss Kimberly! She is coming back to work with me & I'm so excited about this. I'm going to need help & she's the person to do it. So Seniors be ready, she going to help head up the Ambassador program to keep you guys on your toes. Seniors if you had an appointment with me in September, you will hear from me or Kimberly & we will get you rescheduled. Many have been already. Now back to the fun part, PICTURES! I'll start with this Granbury Senior Miss H. We had fun shooting at her place. One word, BEAUTIFUL! The yard was a photographers dream & must I say Miss H & her family were AWESOME!! Extremely nice! Makes me love my job even more when I have clients like this! Enough talk! Pics Please!!!!!

Updates and Miss IVY!

Hello all! We are back. I have posted a few blogs, but because of the busy spring we had and a EXTREMELY busy fall coming up, we took some time off to relax and get some things done around the house! As some of you know, we are expecting baby #3 mid October (Our 2nd Girl - Sawyer Reece)! So with playing musical rooms and setting all of them up, plus decorating a baby room and remodeling a bathroom, we needed some time off! Once the baby room and bath room is all complete I will post some pictures of the finished product. I have spent some time on finding the right color scheme for this room, since my 4yr old daughter and her new sister will be sharing a room. It will be stunning!

With that said, I have finally chosen my 2010 Senior Ambassadors. We have grown so much in this area of photography that I am looking to have even a better year then last. I have lots planned for these guys and I believe I have a great group to help push me further in the photography business. Here in the next couple of weeks, my senior site will be up and down and you will see some changes. So don't get freaked out when I have weird colors popping up all over. I thought it was time for an update and I needed to add some new photos! The Krystal Image site will also go through few changes and updates, but a little later this fall. Also, I will be in the process of having a new blog designed and hope to have that finished early fall. So look for some changes, but some great changes!

With all this said, I will now get to Miss Ivy! She just graduated college in May. She was one of my husband students and is extremely talented. So talented that she is leaving for California to start her career. Her agent (Who represents Rene Zellweger) told her to get some head shots done ASAP! So she gave us a call! (Now I'll throw in a little back story - Chad (my hubby) is extremely talented. He can paint, draw, create anything you can think of and of course is a marketing GENIUS! He teaches Sport and Entertainment Marketing/Management at Northwood University and runs that department. We often throw ideas back and forth to each other and come up with some new CREATIVE ideas for our business. Since I can't draw, I scribble my marketing ideas to paper and then he cleans it up to look like a masterpiece. LOVE IT! Anyway, he has been wanting to learn to shoot and has spent some of his summer doing just that. IVY was his first shoot on someone other than the kids. He has the eye, just needed to learn the equipment. These were important head shots, so he had NO pressure. (Sarcasm inserted here!) He did great. A few things to change, but overall did a great job. I did the post processing on these. We haven't got to that part of the learning yet! I take no credit in the pictures you will see. It was all him and he did great! End Back Story) Ivy is getting ready to head to California with some great Head shots to show off! Have fun and GOOD LUCK!

It's that time of year again and I'm a little behind! Now that all my relaxing and vacationing is over I guess it's back to work and I can't wait to get this year going. I have had so many ask when I was going to start my 2010 Senior Ambassador Search! Well that time is now. I have already started sending out applications. I have had so many request for outside the cleburne area that I have made a few changes to accommodate. Not only will I be accepting 6 ambassadors from Cleburne ISD, but I will be looking for 4 Ambassadors outside of Cleburne. I have already had request from all over the Johnson & Tarrant County area! So hurry up and ask for an application already! You can contact me at krystal@krystalimageseniors.com and I will email it to you. Or you can click here to print out the application. You have until July 15th to get it back to me. Drop it by and if I'm not at the studio during that time then put it in the mail box and I'll let you know I got it. Or mail it to me. I've been in and out of town a lot here lately so my blog has suffered a little. Here is another 09 senior. Meet Mr. J! He is a quite one, but watch out. He has a lot of personality when he wants to show it! This was a fun shoot. His girlfriend Miss K came with us and mom for half of the shoot. We went to a family friends property and it was BEAUTIFUL, plus you couldn't have asked for a better day for shooting. Here are a few from our shoot a few weeks back. Thanks for a great time!

We had a fun shoot despite fighting all the Arts Festival people taking parking spaces that I needed! :) We did take sneaks at some of the art while we took a break to eat lunch and I saw a lot of I wants, but that was as far as it went. Hello All! It has been one CRAZY spring. My finger hurts from so much shooting. But now I am on the downhill slide of it all, I can catch up on some blogging. First up is Miss. K. Hello All! Sorry for the long absence from blogging. It has been crazy around the Studio. It is Senior Season and sports season together and for the last 2 months I have been shooting non-stop. Which makes it hard to edit because of all the shooting. So now lots of editing and blogging with tons of sneaks coming this way.

I will start with Miss E. We shot her pictures about 3-4 weeks ago and her sneaks are a long time coming. We had a blast starting out at a golf course in Fort Worth. They gave us 2 golf carts (which was hilarious and possibly a mistake:) ) and went about the course trying to dodge all the little old men who were obviously hitting golf balls way off course to come take a peak at what was going on with the pretty girls. It was funny. Of course we talked about the windy weather with them and one even offered for us to wear his wonderful Trucker hat. He was cute! After the golf course we went to downtown Ft. Worth and finished up the rest of the session. It went great and of course other things happened a long the way, but your going to have to ask Miss. E.

Meet Mr. K! We had a fun shoot this week and actually ran out of time before the sun got to high and had to finish everything up Friday morning. That's what happens when you have fun and all of us pause to watch HEART in concert on Paladia. Shame on us, but who cares. We were watching GREATNESS! Mr. K (I decided to dub him "Mickey Blue Eyes") loves music, singing, acting and soccer. Lots of talent in this Senior so watch out, I see a bright future in this kid. I know, enough talking! Baby Chase +15 days

Here is a long awaited sneak for Jennifer. Meet baby Chase! He was so cute and tiny. This was a 4 hr shoot, which is typical for little ones under 2 weeks old because of diaper changes and feedings. We had our good moments and our unhappy moments. Also typical with these little guys. They tend to let you know it when you bother them too much. And Chase was no exception. He let us both know it. I did get some really cute pictures of him! I hope you like the sneak Jennifer. Enough talking! Lets get to the best part! The Pictures! Now say AAWWWW!

Just and FYI! I have been working from my bed today. I am communicating through email and blog. Talking makes the gag reflexes go to work. (I know, more info then you needed to know.) I got really sick last night and stayed that way most of the day today. I am feeling much better, but don't want to move out of bed just yet. Thank goodness for Chicken noodle soup! Oh! And NO it is not baby related. I either have a stomach virus or the flu. Either way it sux!

On another note. I have been emailing back and forth with my web hosting people and the contact form on the senior site is working perfectly now. I and a few others have tested it and I am getting my emails now. So if you sent something in the past from the Krystal Image Senior website contact page wanting info, please send it again if it is not to late. I never got it. I apologize. It would have been fixed a long time ago if I would have known. But all is good now. Feel free to give it a try if you dare :p

Oh! One last thing. I now have two emails because of the fix.

I still have krystal@krystalimage.com but now I also have krystal@krystalimageseniors.com.

It's 1am and I have just found out that the contact section of my Krystal Image Senior site is not responding at all. I don't know how long it has not been working. If you have sent a request for information using the contact section of the krystalimageseniors.com website, I never received the request. It is not working. I apologize for this inconvenience and have put in a urgent request through my hosting company to fix the problem. This upsets me because I don't know how long this has been going on and how much business I have missed because of this problem. Meet Alexis!

I told you I wold have sneaks! Meet Alexis! She is a wonderful down to earth kinda girl. We had a great time with mom and sis coming along for the ride. The shoot started out with a lite breeze and a little chilly, but not to bad. Then 30 minutes into the shoot came the 40 mph gust that stayed with us the whole time. IT WAS COLD! Alexis was a trooper. She would put on her jacket and then when I was ready to go, off came the jacket and show time. Like I said TROOPER! Despite the wind I got some really great shots and I'm ready to share. Thanks Alexis and family for a fun time.

Sorry, but I had to share. Here is our first picture of the baby. Meet Butter Bean number 3! It's 9 weeks old and growing fast. The doctor pointed out the head, arms, legs and heart. I of course see the heart, but the rest, I so couldn't tell what was what. I guess thats why the docs are the experts!

Some more sneaks are on the way. Usually January and Feb are really slow months for portraits, but I have been blessed with being busy. Can't wait to share!

I told you I would have a sneak peak today, just didn't say what time. :) Meet Onofre! We did his senior shoot last Tuesday and I'm a little late with his sneak. I've been a little busy the last few days. It was a early and very cold morning but we made it through. We went to a new location that was gated shut, so I decided we would sneak through the gate. It was just wide enough for both of us to get through. People across the street started looking through the windows, so we hurried along just in case we got in trouble. The shoot went great! When we were done, we left and went to the dead end and did a u-turn. Then I noticed that half the gate was torn down and we didn't even have to be so sneaky. Go Figure! I also found out that I went to school with the people who owned the property. So I didn't feel so bad after that. I'll definitely go back. I have many more ideas for this location. Hope you and everyone else enjoy your sneak!

A little announcement to make!

Well, Chad and I had a unexpected surprise happen to us Friday. We found out we are having baby number 3. It's taken me a bit to get over the shock, but we are excited about it. We were even asked what we were going to name the baby. How would we know, a baby wasn't in our plan. We were supposed to be done having kids, but I guess god said different for us. Thats okay. There is a reason for everything. We did start looking at baby names. Since our kids are named after amps (Marshall & Cadence) that was the first set of names we looked at. Finder, Boss, Peavey.....nothing did the trick. We saw Gibson and contemplated it, but decided no. So we went on a different track.. Marshall and Cadence we different names and you don't hear it a lot around here, so we started looking for good/uncommon names. I think we found the one we like. It is unisex, so it could go for both a boy or girl. But right now we like Sawyer Ryne or Sawyer Reece Fagan. Lets see how long that last, but I think It may stick. I have my first doctor appointment. next Thursday afternoon. Can't wait! I keep everyone p to date as we journey through this fun/exciting time.

I just want to send a shout out to one of the best Wedding Photographers I have had a pleasure of knowing and watching over the past few years. His name is Mark Ridout and he is truly AWESOME! He and his wife has traveled all over this world shooting weddings in the most beautiful places and has captured some awe inspiring photos along the way. He shot my cousins wedding last year in Austin and is now set to shoot one of my best friends wedding in Feb 2010 in Punt Cana, Dominican Republic. YEA AMBER!!! Here are a few more pictures of my kids from there shoot a couple of months ago. I never got the chance to edit them because of our busy fall schedule. As you will see my son is awesome in front of the camera, but my daughter decided not to cooperate during this shoot. So she has mainly what I call OUT TAKES! But I did manage to get one smile from her. So to all the moms and dads out there, I feel your pain. My 3 year old also screams, cries ad throws tantrums while having pictures made. HAHA! :)

Meet Laraysha! She is a Senior I photographed right before the holidays. She has been waiting patiently for a sneak.

We had a fun EARLY morning in downtown Fort Worth, that started out chilly, but warmed up fast. Laraysha was very fun to shoot and her personality showed through the camera. Her big smile, laughter and craziness definitely made this a senior shoot one to remember. Enjoy your sneak!

Well after a much needed month off I am back to work again. I'm fresh and ready to get going. I hope all had a wonderful holiday season. I know I did. If you left me a message within the last 4 weeks, well I am currently working on answering those phone calls. So be patient with me.

I want to say THANK YOU to all my 2008 clients for a great first year. You guys were awesome and kept it fun. I look forward to the 2009 year to be even bigger and better. I have been working on some new marketing material and I want to give you guys a glimpse of the new things we are working on.
