ALFRED VARGAS Unfazed with Legal Battle: Releases Strong Statement

Recent pronouncements from the Office of the Prosecutor has certainly dampened the spirits of the whole Vargas family as they have fought tooth and nail for their son in the bullying case they filed in recent months. Alfred Vargas has released a statement questioning that if hard evidence and medical diagnosis wouldn't be accepted in court, they worry what message this would send especially for those who have been traumatized by such incidents.

Alfred says "While it hurts to see how our motion has been denied, and feel our efforts have been wasted, we continue to hold our heads high. We did not rely on speculation, but with testimonies from witnesses who saw our son being bullied and abused."

The believe the Office of the Prosecutor has committed an error and have filed criminal complaints against the parents for the violation of RA 7610 or the Child Abuse Law. They worry much of what precedents this may do especially for those who are victims of bullying and just suffer in silence, and wonder how this would affect the community?

They promise to not back down and exhaust all avenues and legal remedies including bringing this to the Department of Justice. They still believe in it especially for the truth they want to have. They vow to work on this case until they receive justice they deserve and calls for stronger laws and punishment for those who are bullying.

They remain unfazed.

She's Back!: Heart Evangelista in Paris Fashion Week

People wondered why she wasn't able to appear in the September 2025 - Spring-Summer 2026 seasons, but the real life crazy rich Asian did it for personal reasons and a serious health scare during those times. She's not hanging the stilettos anytime soon as she's back in Paris Fashion Week, fit to even walk the streets and venues of the shows.

A week prior, she was sent to the hospital as she wasn't feeling well, but she wouldn't miss the Fall/Winter Haute Couture Paris shows for 2026-2027. It was slated from July 6-9, where over 30 fashion houses would showcase their greatest work including the much awaited designer Matthieu Blazy over at Chanel.

Heart had to attend several shows and tried on a couple via fitting sessions which she showed on her social media accounts. She chose her shows well and prioritized those that have been so close to her heart, but knows she had to go back to Manila for her new programs. A few months ago, GMA announced "The People Have Spoken" which will be shown every Saturday on Kapuso channels. She's hosting the show and a LOT of people are excited about it! I guess it's a new era of Heart Evangelista and we're here for it!

I remember back in January -February, Heart also was invited for several shows during. Paris Men's Fashion Week. She wasn't able to do that because of the same health scare and exhaustion, and pointed out how important it is to take care of your health. She also hinted how she should have not given her efforts for those who didn't even like her in the first place. Makes sense. I'm all for her goal of attending just those who would make her happy, and purpose. She also showcased Filipino designed jewelry in Paris (filled with lovely gem stones), which other influencers drooled over.

Heart recently appeared during the 75th Max Mara anniversary in Shanghai. She was there together with Hollywood stars like Michelle Yeoh and Katie Holmes.

During her time in Paris Fashion Week, the shows were also graced by Zendaya, Blackpink's Lisa, Rihanna, Dua Lipa, Kate Moss, Aussie Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz and more. Heart might do this again in September for the Women's Spring Summer season. Go follow her social media accounts to see where Heart is going next! I'm so obsessed with the recent shows especially Schiaparelli, Hermes and Kenzo which she also adores! Oh I miss the scene! The pandemic had us watch all kind of content including the concept of Boys Love or BL. NINA Mounts Repeat of NINA XX Concert

Looks like people are going to flock to the Newport Performing Arts Theater as Asia's Diamond Soul Siren NINA is doing the repeat of NINA XX The Anniversary Celebration on September 24, 2026 at 8pm.

Her special guests include Christian Bautista, Top Suzara and Thor. The show will be directed by Calvin Neri and produced by EchoJam and Synth. Tickets will be available at Ticketworld.com.ph.

Nina says "The show was wonderful and the people wanted to see it one more time because they were very happy to see the show. I really take care of my voice, take care of myself by being happy and positive. I believe being not stressed means you are taking care of yourself. I don't do anything that could make my voice hoarse, to preserve my voice. My first song was There'll You'll Be, I was already emotional because that was for my fans. I already cried that time but when I finished Loved Moves in Mysterious Ways, I balled already. Twenty years is a long time but the only thing that has changed is having more confidence being in front of people. I am more relaxed now. I have to thank the parents, when I did Nina Live, they really shared my music to the next generation, I am so happy about that."

Celebrating pride month has been something that the country has been doing BETTER every year. Years ago, there were White Party celebrations in the streets of Orosa and Nakpil in Manila. Back then, it was a congregation of different bars and to some degree, that place died down together with the LGTBQIA+ establishments that were there in Manila. This year, Mentorque Productions under Bryan Dy felt that it is time to throw one again, with the aim to help their co-presenter LOVEYOURSELF Foundation Inc. who has been steadily helping folks with HIV+ cases, testing and information. Together with allies, and the icons of LGBTQIA+ community, WHITE PARTY MANILA: REIGNITE was finally happening (after 12 long years) at the World Trade Center in Pasay City!

Everyone came to the venue wearing their best white outfits, ethereal looking garbs and carried their friends with them. I also saw cisgender folks, family members, their Mums and Dads who came to support them too. It was heartwarming, because the crowd was mixed, of young ones and not so young, seeing hope to have a new generation continue this celebration too.

Performers were led by the Unkabogable Vice Ganda, who not only appeared, but did the fashion show by BANG PINEDA that evening. The event was also hosted by KaladKaren, with John Sweet Lapus awarding some allies who have not only talked, but walked to support the LGBTQIA+ community. We also saw celebrity couple Ice Seguerra and Liza Diño, model Joey Mead-King car pro Angie King. Direk Andoy Ranay, Alex Diaz, Klea Pineda, Mimiyuuuh, Janella Salvador, Chie Filomeno, Kirk Bondad, Ron Angeles and Teejay Marquez were also at the runway, while RPDR runner up Marina Summers opened the show!

Acts from allies and community members like Ben&Ben, Maki, Gloc-9, Maxie Anderson and SexBomb Girls (who won Gay Icon of the Year Award) also happened. White Party Manila definitely set a new standard!

Outstanding Ally of the Year went to QC Mayor Joy Belmonte, Pasay Mayor Emi Calixto Rubiano, San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno. John Lapus gave the award and discussed matters that they supported like the right to care card for couples, partners or relatives. This is going to be a yearly honor for 4 individuals, hetero cis, for their contribution to the LGBTQIA+ community.

Then in a touching moment, Vice Ganda handed a 1 Million Peso check (earned from WHITE PARTY MANILA) to their supported foundation LOVE YOURSELF Inc. so they can continue their support for the cause.

TikTok Holds #ForYourPride Find Your Voice Event

At the fabulous Music Museum in Greenhills San Juan, TikTok just held their #ForYourPride Find Your Voice Event, where creators showcased their talent, music, self expression and how it is to be empowered. Performances by some of the PH's best TikTokers were done on stage, particularly the ones that are part of the LGBTQIA+ community since this is part of their pride month celebrations.

They also did a pride month runway challenge hosted by drag performer Salmo Nella. Guests came in with their Pridechella inspired outfits and got called in front for games and surprises, it was a pretty fun event despite the horrible traffic caused by some cult in EDSA. The event is also presented by DERMO REPUBLIQ and the folks from TikTok LIVE!

Bea Bautista the Communications Lead at TikTok emphasized that this also gives LGBTQIA+ creators the platform to showcase their talent from singing, dancing, performing and even drag. Aside from that, they also have other things in the pipeline like training teachers about the app and how they can use it for the greater good. To date, they have trained over 200 educators on using social media safely and responsibly, and plan to do more in the coming months.

They are also working with the Department of Tourism soon with their Wanderlust initiative via a creator led series to showcase the beauty of the Philippines. They are doing this to support creators, their interests and advocacy.

Thank you so much to the people from TikTok Live for letting us experience so much fun despite the strong rain. Thank you for giving the community a chance to do it in this grand stage, some of them were so good I'd mistake them for pro recording artists!

Making Driving Dreams Come True, 0KP|äy Does Real Rewards

It certainly surprised me hearing how they've been able to turn a simple play into superbly real as 0KPläy does their "Play |t to Ride |t" campaign. They've managed to get over 30 folks to win their dream bikes, going beyond high energy entertainment that goes beyond plain screentime. It is fun, and all they have to do is join, and watch how it could change lives in an instant. This is being done every Friday on their official Facebook page (started this June 2025) where they enjoyed LIVE raffle promos where they could win 2 motorbikes every week. This also becomes the hottest hangouts where people enjoy their time wishing "Next one could be me!". Oh what a feeling!

Winners came from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. They also had their success stories which they shared with the 0KPläy community. Later on, it drew crowds as they saw how fair it was, they also felt the community was behind them.

When the holidays came, they even leveled up the ante by doing 0Krismasäyä by giving away a true blue BIG BIKE. They did it LIVE at the City of Dreäms Mänilä screens and yes, one person won a brand new spanking HONDA CBR500. The thing is, they are just getting started. Initially they had those named after the founder Ms. Rhea Tan, her son and daughter (Rei, Audrey and Rein), and they got us to do a friendly talk to some of their OG endorsers Ms. Sunshine Garcia and VG Alex Castro. The two started in showbusiness as actors and pop dance group Sexbomb (icons!). Thing is, they started the business in very humble beginnings and even then, Ms. Rei sought help from friends during the first few years. Now that Beautéderm is now an empire, Ms. Rei didn't forget those who helped her. She also knows those who have loyalty and talked lengthy about why it matters and showed us why she chose husband and wife VG Alex and Sunshine to become the next perfume. As she says, it's not just business, but true care and friendship.

SUNSHINE is strong and exudes confidence. It makes you feel powerful despite its floral notes. ALEX on the other hand is way different, because it's sweet and grassy, much like a cup of matcha latte which it is patterned to. VG told us how he likes the scent and how well Beautéderm listens to them especially since this will be named after them, they felt really valued.

They also thanked Ms. Rei Tan for giving them a full billboard at the North Luzon Expressway (which you'll see soon). But for now, you can now purchase these scents in Beautéderm stores nationwide! Online too!

My Daily Collagen and My Saiko Skin Partner with Binibining Pilipinas 2026

This event was something quite exciting especially when they told us that well loved health drink My Daily Collagen and new skincare brand My Saiko Skin (all under Global Wellness) is going to partner with Binibining Pilipinas 2026, the country's premiere pageant.

Their executives welcomed the ladies who gave us more reasons to love them, a fashion show featuring their products, a little introduction, then an interview later on with the press. They were asked mostly about their beauty regimen and things that they do to maintain their healthy looking skin. They were pretty candid about it. One thing I can assure you though is that they aced the questions, probably because they've all been filtered to qualify for the Binibining Pilipinas, where every Filipina is top notch .

As you can see, the ladies are all beautiful, intelligent and ready for any challenge. My Daily Collagen has been partnering with several multi sport runs (even Triathlons) and has continued to make sure athletes get the necessary vitamins and minerals they need to last the day. The stress of doing a pageant is no joke and they've managed to help these ladies last throughout the day, keep them gorgeous and healthy too. 0KGåmës Hold "Vanity and Vìçë" Party

It was not that hard filling up the hottest stage in town as the folks from 0KGåmës made April 25th crazy fun with the 0KGåmës Vanity and Vicë event. This was the chance to take their precious VIP's into the next level entertainment performances with celebrities, guests just so they could deliver the beyond experience vision they've talked about since their inception. They also had the OKGL Master Series where the best of the best folks brought their A game to battle it out against other wizards, like a showdown of sorts, to find out who will win BIG! The champ took home 1 Million Pesos of course, and runners up got cash and e-credits.

Folks also got interested with the King of Talk Boy Abunda via the "0KTälk with Tito Boy" where he mouthed vocabularies with his lookalike Tito Bhoy. It was a super funny segment.

In the last bit, they did the 0KÄngëls Finals. The gorgeous ladies made sure to put their best moves on stage, and got Tatiana, Janine, Alleah, Renzy, Keshia, Eunice and Edciel got recognized as the new 0KĀngëls which means they got the 300k talent contract that comes with it. They also gave a brand new motorcycle in the raffle plus crowned the champ for the league too. They're so right calling it extra ordinary for starters, but it was certainly what one could expect with them right?!

TCL Launches A400 Series: Showcases Amorsolo Paintings

TCL A400 SERIES TV's just got launched today at Centro de Turismo Intramuros. They had a full blown museum display of National Artist Fernando Amorsolo done in several models like the TCL A400M Premium QD Mini LED TV and the A400 Pro NXTVISION TV.

The difference is also in the frames where one has it in black, and the other is in bougie gold. They have TCL Philippines executives in the audience including officials from the Intramuros administration. They also had a relative of Fernando C. Amorsolo (Sylvia Amorsolo Lazo) Foundation and their family.

Peter Chen the CEO of TCL Philippines says "Truly his work is beautiful, and the A400 Series will be used to showcase these works from National Artist Fernando Amorsolo. It showcases resilience, Filipino lives, technology surely can make heritage be closer to every home. Thank you to Centro de Turismo, Amorsolo Foundation, and the media. Joan Padilla of the Intramuros Administration says "May I welcome you all to the walled city. ISHA PONTI Launches "LIKAS" Album

Super talented singer songwriter Isha Ponti gave us goosebumps last night at the VIVA CAFE where she celebrated her birthday and launched her new album "LIKAS".

Isha says "If there's someone who acts like an anchor in my life, I would like to say thanks to my Mom and Dad, happy father's day! I always do this every year but this is special because being 20 means I've already experienced things and applied it to my songs. Some good, some that hurt, but it's okay. I'm good!"

She sang her singles "Darating" (an upbeat hopeful love song), "Hinga" (a call for pause before loving again), "Proud to Say" (not part of the LIKAS album but she made this song when she was 13), "Raining In Manila" (her cover), "Kabanata" (where she proudly showed her heartwarming music video too), Man I Need & So Easy (both an Olivia Dean original- her cover), and a few more to the delight of the crowd. She also did "Warmth", "Gulong" (about a hurtful relationship), "Halika" (a ballad about asking to admit love), "Bakas" (she cried on this bit), "Kung Di Rin Tayo sa Huli" (her cover of the December Avenue song), "Numero" (about self worth), "Riversky" (about believing in yourself), and the finale song the danceable "Mismo" (where everyone stood up!). Isha reminds us that her new album "Likas" is all about loving, learning, and experiencing her truth and I totally agree.

In the audience, she also had her relatives, friends from school, and press who have been helping her get her music out there. She thanked them all!

Isha acknowledged a few artists from VIVA, a PPOP girl group and of course, one of GMA's prime actors Kelvin Miranda (who did a duet with her btw!).

OPM is so blessed to have to someone like you Isha! Here's hoping you get to even more places. Seeing how passionate you are in your craft and how hard you've worked for it, please keep on writing and singing more songs!

ANDOK's Celebrates 40 Years and Return to foodpanda App

At the event, they had several booths folks could take photos with. Aren@P|us Makes NBA and US Dreams Come True

After holding one of the biggest parties for VIP's last year, the good folks from Aren@P|us stay true to their word by giving away 2 all expense paid trips to the United States and arrangements for shopping, touring, and the best NBA experience they could possibly do.

The first winning VIP did it with his wife and children, which they did across different states in the US, from New York to Los Angeles where he stayed at the Trump Tower Hotel and Marriott LA. He met Jordan Clarkson, and also had dinner with him before seeing him play at Madison Square Garden. He said "I was super happy because it was my first time to be there, and see Jordan Clarkson in the flesh! It's way different than seeing him on TV! I will not forget this experience!"

In LA, he was able to join the 2026 NBA All Star weekend at the grand Intuit Dome where he also saw performances by Ludacris and the rest of the NBA players. He had so much fun because he was able to experience time with the players and the energetic crowd too. Then he did the best thing for his family by taking them to the loveliest luxury shops and outlet stores so they get to take home something for themselves. After Bullying Ordeal: VARGAS' Kid Shows Tough Form in Swim Meet

Proud Mom Yasmine and Dad (multi awarded actor) Alfred Vargas just posted super good news on their socials as their son Cristiano got back on the tank, something he's been looking forward to doing after the bullying ordeal he went through months ago.

Ms. Yasmine described the time as lost opportunities since their young kid wasn't able to compete in his favorite sport, and they knew how he felt disheartened (at the time), but now surprised how he came back ready, better than ever!

This was during the recent Milo Swim Competition where he raced with bigger kids at the 9-10 year old event. He was able to improve his previous time in different events, and came back clocking new personal bests, a feat which surprised even those who have been supporting him. They (Mom and Dad) dubbed him as their "Comeback Kid", and proudly saw how the fruits of his labor have all come true. In the meet, he was given the Most Outstanding Swimmer award in his category (Category A), this is also his second one as he won the same thing last year.

Councilor Alfred and Ms. Yasmine credits Cristiano's new coach Mr. Manny Thruelen who went back from years of retirement just to make sure he gets the needed training for the sport. His previous team and the swim community at that time also showed their support for the kid. They were overjoyed at the sight of people, including his previous coaches Gary and JM who were there and supported him too.

Social Media Vlogging royalty Mam Elma was found crying at the Maddox Jewelry showroom when she visited Ms. Charo Cordial in Marikina a few days ago. She's the long time girlfriend of Ser Geybin (aka Gavin Capinpin) and a former educator, who's also been in entertainment news recently.

At Maddox Jewelry in Marikina, they pleasantly talked not about her personal life, but her dreams and how she shows her love for her family. Because Ms. Charo was easy to talk to, she opened up about how she wished to earn a doctorate degree in education and still make it successful in the content creation field. It's where she began to cry.

See, it was a very hard decision to actually leave her regular job as a teacher, more so because her parents were strongly against it. But she wanted to delve into content creation years ago, so she went ahead and did it. Even so, she plans to continue her studies so she had something to fall back on. She didn't want her family to worry.

Mam Elma and Ms Charo also talked about her relationship with social media phenom Ser Geybin. Particularly the things they're enjoying before they begin thinking of getting married. It's a serious step and felt the need to still prioritize education as said by their parents.

VERDE CREATIVES Hold "Rainbow Voices: Mga Mukha at Boses ng Bahaghari" Event

June is Pride Month and with the way things are now, it has to be reiterated, that the occasion is and still is a protest.

It was an opportune time to talk about what the current status of primary concerns are of the community. This is why the folks from Verde Creatives held an event called "Rainbow Voices: Mga Mukha at Boses ng Bahaghari" (The Faces and Voices of the Rainbow). The platform seeks to have a place for community members to talk about what is important, like the good and bad things about what is happening with the LGBTQIA+, brothers and sisters, and the phenomenal horrors on why the SOGIESC Equality bill is still not approved.

I asked them bluntly about how it might have been all frustrating, and they said a resounding YES. Though they assured me, they never will get tired. They promise to continue the fight, but it has to be an effort done with YOU, me and the rest of the community. It'll have a huge impact when we do things together, and I've seen it happen in recent years. I'm glad it's not just the bad things that were discussed, but the good things too.

Verde Creatives very own Ms. Bemz Benedito, Ms. Gigi Marie Garcia of the Society of Trans Women of the Philippines (STRAP), Mx. Patrick Espino of LADLAD Partylist, Ms. Venus Ancheta-Lane, an HR Professional who is also part of the Society of Trans Women of the Philippines (STRAP), and Atty. Juliane Paul Tabarangao shared their expertise on the topic to explain where we are and how we are with regards to the causes we need to support.

Ms. Bemz reiterated "LGBT rights, trans rights are human rights. It is still not being accepted, just tolerated. It is important to celebrate Pride, it is a protest, it is important to discuss it, in platforms like Verde, to have a place to discuss things that may not be allowed in public. Thanks for giving us the voice, for letting us fight, to give solutions, but even if the faces have changed, we need to support the cause to protect LGBT or us Filipinos."

Ms. Gigi Marie Garcia adds "It's time for Trans people to change their name, markers and legal ID's for legal gender recognition. This would be a big help and our coalition will be pushing for legislation, government support for the passage of SOGIE bill. We hope this would be enacted as law, while we partner with more people to support our cause. Preferred names and gender identity is important for government transactions, and with it, we get recognized including the non binary individuals too. Our trans sisters even get offloaded because of it. STRAP hold sessions and hear so many stories about it, but names affirm the persona of the person."

Patrick Espino also shared "June is Pride month, but it has been used so many times that it is starting to be used. At times, they still call us names, but where are we now, still not where we want to be. Hate must be eradicated, it must be stopped."

While we are making progress as a society, there is still a long way to go. This effort by Verde Creatives is a really huge help to make those issues and put those points across. I hope this would put an even better perspective on letting all us know where we are, and perhaps find more ways on how we can help. I love how they pointed out that these issues are not designed to mock or put aside the fun during Pride events, because we need to celebrate our huge and small wins.

Regal's PROJECT BABY Mirrors Modern Families and Unconventional Relationships

Watched the movie PROJECT BABY of Regal Entertainment Inc. This is directed by Eric Quizon, who had their premiere night at Eastwood Mall Cinemas. This stars multi-faceted actress Sue Ramirez and rock icon Rico Blanco. They also had Matt Lozano (who wasn't there because of work), Arra San Agustin, Yasser Marta, Alex Calleja, Kimson Tan, Christian Ty, Charuth, Drei Arias, Jonathan Perez, Jazzil Sarinas and the living vampire Ms. Alice Dixson.

The plot is interesting because it delves on genuine relationships, modern ones, and the concept of parenting. Does it need to be perfect? Does it need to be planned? Or maybe have the heart involved?

Would you do it for the sake of relationships? Pro creation? Or weigh things of what's moral or not?

There is also a kid involved in the story where you have to understand whether the parents are taking on the responsibility or not, or firmly follow the contract?

Then it also gets complicated, finding the right mix of doing right, listening to opinions of friends, family, the bio father and her own thoughts.

This would all be answered in the movie PROJECT BABY. Will she succeed in actually making a baby? A Boy or a Girl? Do they need to do what is right? or will they live in sin and break all the rules of love and relationships?

I'd gladly rate this a 4/5, it was a bit stiff in the beginning but became more au naturelle later on the story. Aside from the main stars, you'll love the character of Matt Lozano who's funny and fluffy in all the right corners. The story is going to be the main selling point, you would want to know what would happen next. It's cute, not complicatedly told, and a very happy material to watch. Though it's the first time that they've been paired on screen, you can feel how they wanted to encompass emotions, including that much needed kilig we always ask for.

HOME ALONG DA RILES DA REUNION: Same Family Love But Different

Spent a few hours at the Makabagong San Juan Government Center, the huge new building of the city of San Juan. It was special because of the event we had to witness there, a Family Day for the folks from around the community. Kids, their parents and guardians spent the whole afternoon watching and participating in a Volleyball match, games prepared by the folks from Home Along Da Riles Da Reunion. They also gave them food and refreshments from the good people of Rebisco. Honestly, I saw genuine smiles from the kids and the parents, they really enjoyed seeing the stars of the film interacting with them through the program that afternoon.

Then we were able to interview the whole cast in the late afternoon. They had a whole marching band and the Mayor himself Francis Zamora who welcomed everyone before the Mediacon started. The theater was huge! And if I'm right, we're probably the first few ones who got to use it for a very special reason, because yes, the COSME's are back! The family that lived at the side of the train tracks. Though yes, this is going to be different because the legendary DOLPHY, BABALU won't be around. But they promised you'll feel them in every scene, and you'll be seeing their lives after Kevin Cosme's passing. You'll also see the dynamics of the family, of how things have changed, stayed or become even crazier!

There were actually 15 SUNOG BAGA members but only 4 were found. One passed hence 3 were seen in this presscon. (May they rest in peace!)

Ms. Nova Villa prays a lot, and spends her life serving the church. She was always the one who prays for everyone during taping days of Home Along Da Riles, that never stopped!

Vandolph Quizon met his wife Jenny in the show, and he mentions that she is the love of his life, credits the show for it.

Boy2 Quizon aka Dos was given the task of being the Director of this film, and everybody agreed how good he did it. Dolphy would be so proud!

They tried to put in everyone from the sitcom to the series so you'll be surprised when you watch the film. Wether you're an 80's, 90's or 00's fan of the show, or new to the classic show, you will LOVE the movie equally because it is about family, caring for each other and the Filipino way of life, good manners and some crazy fun. The movie will have a premiere night on June 15th but will have the movie out on June 17th. It's going to be fun!

It felt good seeing Forest Lake Development Inc. hold recognition for their sales people at Okada Manila last April 21st. It was their National Sales Convention, with over 550 attendees and the theme "THRIVE: Ani ng Tagumpay". At a record breaking 5.5 Billion in sales this year compared to 3.8 Billion last year, there definitely is a reason to celebrate for this big corp. All their employees, partners and stakeholders from around the country went there including their CEO Alfred Xerez Burgos III.

They are the leading memorial park developer and now have transformed into an entity providing total memorial care. MELAI CANTIVEROS FRANCISCO Excited for Season 5 of KUAN ON ONE and Guest ELLEN ADARNA

Going to another press conference with Melai Cantiveros Francisco made me so excited, I thought I didn't get enough sleep. First off, it's the 5th season of her digital show KUAN ON ONE where she often guests Visayan speaking artists and individuals to the delight of the public. Aside from that, I got to see her again in person (since the last time I caught her was during the 4th season of the same show). I am so happy that the show has already transcended YouTube and are being shown on streaming platforms and free to air TV via Kapamilya Channel, IWantTFC and more. This brought her show to an even large audience, and people are appreciating it even more because being Bisaya is different. Just because you're from the same region, you immediately feel familiar, which is why they were able to talk non-stop!

Melai was super excited to share the episodes they prepared for this epic season because one of her dream interviews finally came true in the person of Ellen Adarna. Quite elusive to see being interviewed by the press, Melai was able to do it because she's going to talk about non trivial things which Ellen probably was also excited to do. Melai also told us that because they were talking about non showbiz things, they lost all track of time and did it for hours, that it already qualified for an episode the next week. This is the first time that they are also doing it so they're pretty nervous how folks at home would receive what they plan to do come June 9. She also divulged that they will be guesting Paul Jake Castillo and Mark Bautista in the weeks after that (plus a lot more to look forward to!).

Melai has really become so attractive for endorsements including her family which she's so glad about. She also told us how they became so engrossed with Korea, and said their whole family is being tapped by the Korean Tourism Organization again (they have been for several years!), and they'd gladly go there for much needed family time too.

All the success she says has always been attributed to God, and she promised that everytime she got to talk, she's always going to mention how thankful she is for the blessings. Evidently, she has been blessed, but has never changed since the day I saw her come out of the PBB house. She also acknowledged me and her fans (yes Melason!) for believing in them, and continuing to support them all these years.

I asked her about her family and she said Jason is involved in businesses right now and would rather keep it private. The kids are also doing well, but she teases that they probably have an idea on how famous they are and enjoying it. Sometimes Mela even initiates photo opportunities, because people tend to be shy around them. Super cute!

Melai may have gotten accolades and success in her career but has never changed who she is as a person. She's still that kind, happy lady, who's going to make sure you won't leave her show without laughing crazy! Thank you Melai for always being like that!
