It may have been a long time since i have posted something on my blog but to be honest i've been wanting to do this..i have tons of pictures and things to say but still i don't have much time..

Im here now becausw I have a few minutes to kill time while laying in bed..thinking about what happened this early morning! I so hate it! My earphones is fucked up! I wanted to listen to my ipod while having my coffee fix but when i unrolled my earphones, it's messed up! The right ear plug is detached from the cord! Where the hell in the world it got damaged! I don't know...i don't fucking know..what i know now is i don't have a headset! And i'm so upset about it:(

Changing Lanes

Life is a like road trip: we plan it, we prepare for it, look for directions, we think who can be with us and we imagine what's our destination will look like.

We were once a driver or a passenger in our own journey. We sometimes travel alone, sometimes travel with family, friends, special someone or even with a total stranger. We may drive an SUV, a sedan, a pick-up or even commute with a cab, bus or jeepney.

In a roadtrip: we move right, we move left, make a u-turn, change lanes, stop for traffic, stop to refuel and sometimes just hit the brakes slowly or in an instant or may simply head on straight.

In life, we go on with our journey going into a certain destination. We then slowly plan where do we want to go or want to be over period of time. We also prepare how we are going to accomplish it, we contemplate who we want to be with during our travel and how we are going to spend the moment while we are one the road and how to enjoy when we reached our destination.

But looking from a far, roads may seem endless. Journey can also take forever; we may be forced to stop, encounter trouble with our engine or just simply stop to take a break.

Somewhere along the way, we may meet people to have short conversation. May it be to ask for directions or just simply talk about what their life seem like on that particular location, we may experience their culture or try what they would offer.

Sometimes life can also be bumpy also after all there is no perfect road to take. We can get into some misunderstanding with our passengers when we get lost. We may need their help incase our vehicles just suddenly brokedown. We get tired and just suddenly need a rest or we can get sleepy and needs to be recharged.

Life is like a roadtrip, we are taking a ride going to where we want to be. Be with the people close to us. And take them to where we want to be, but sometimes roadtrips can end as fast as we can ever imagine, we may drop our passenger and continue with our trip. We can turn right, left, go on a curve, fast lane or slow lane, we can even take u-turn and go back. Journey doesn't end regardless of who we are with. We must go straight ahead and continue travelling, driving to where we wanna be. We may still have a passenger or two or even be alone, but what matter's most is that we take with us the memories of our journey with people we care about, the wisdom we got from our mentors and the passion within ourselves to get into our most desired destination. Regardless of what we drive, we are all travellers wanting to be in a place where there is growth, prosperity, peace and love but then again there will always be a moment that we will go and change lanes.

I don’t know what’s going through my mind right now but please spare me this post; this is a very personal one. Well, not really coz I’m posting it here but what the heck! NO BODY IS VISITING MY BLOG!

I don’t want to talk about it but it is here bugging me and my heart is pounding like it wants to come out of my chest. Oh no! What’s happening to me, savoring myself into sad songs while writing this down? Do I want to cry? Do I want to hug my pillows tight? And be alone? Been there! Why am I talking like this? Why a man is ranting his unmanly emotions here? Because I’m tough! Tough, whenever people are around me. I’m funny whenever friends are near me. But in reality I’m as fragile as anyone can be…

It has been more than seven years when I fell in love, and it’s still the same as much as I don’t want to anymore. How can someone still be in love with someone who has not been there for three years now? I have been around waiting for years but still you are not here. I admit! It seems like I’m over you whenever where together but I’m not. And I’m not sure when will be..

It has been 3 years since you left me, I was in my worse. I’m not sure if people have an idea what I’ve been through. Yeah, I’ve been through the worse in my life just because of love. You can call me crazy for being like this. You can call me irrational if I’d say I’m just human. But what can I do, I really am! I still love the person no matter how much pain it caused me already, no matter how many time I’ve crawled, no matter how often I’ve stumble and fall.

Everything is still so vivid here in my heart despite all the good times we shared after all the mess. I know this is too much, I know everybody will tell me I’m crazy but that’s why I’m just writing it down here instead of have my friends to be around me. I’m afraid of just being judge coz they don’t know you. See??? I’m still protecting you even though you are exposing me with all these things.

What to do? What to do? I don’t know how to mend this heart; I don’t know if I can still let you go even you are not mine…

Someday…I don’t know..hoping..hoping you’ll be mine..or…hoping to let go..

Indian Fix!

A simple celebration turns out to be a blast! A week before my birthday, I invited the "chupachups gang" to have dinner to celebrate the 27 years of my existence is this happy but crazy world. I wanted something simple but different; I also want a quaint place that's good for dining and conversation. And I found this, Indian Restaurant in Tagaytay.

That afternoon of October 2, we met up at Glorietta. And as usual three creatures were late! I, Melvin and Gab hopped ourselves into Lester's car and a road trip is set to happen again. Funny thing was, even before we left Makati we got into a little trouble and found ourselves with two Ayala guards, because of a traffic violation. But after a couple of minutes with some bucks out of our pocket and discovered the acting prowess of Lester we continued the journey. There was another roadblock, THE TRAFFIC! Do I need to tell more about it? Nah, I don’t want to…

We arrived at Taj Andanita Restaurant just in time for dinner, it was a foggy evening. We just had the place to ourselves; it was cold and very quiet. The guard courteously welcomed us, and then we were seated. The seats looks like we were in a VIP room and has a glass wall behind it, I just can’t imagine how beautiful it looks during the morning.

So I was handed the menu, but before I was able to choose the waiter played some Indian music and it reminded me of those belly dancers in the movie. We were all ecstatic as these were all new to us. Cam whoring everywhere!

Then I sat in the corner to choose for our dinner. I can remember how Lester commented how knowledgeable I was in picking the food that we were about to eat. That’s the fruit of being a sucker for food and travel blogs! Laughs! Well, enough about the rants, here are the pictures…

We also ordered Chicken Tikka Masala (P350) but not shown on the pictures. It was very filling and very yummy! We traveled almost 3 hours for this restaurant and it was all worth it! Then after eating I was handed this bag, their gift to me! Sweet! Thanks guys...We ended the night at Starbucks sipping those hot concoctions in the middle of a cold night. The best!

Chico and Delamar

How would you characterize a good radio program? Would stay tune in one radio program for more than an hour? Would you laugh with the Disc jocks if they laugh? Or just press that button and listen elsewhere?

Yesterday, I was bored as hell! I got tons of things to do in my mind. My ass was nailed in front of this monitor thinking what to do. I was on iTunes, thinking what’s in there to download. I began to think why not try podcast and in an instant, I was downloading Chico and Delmar’s radio program. I was furious about the speed of the internet as I was excited to hear their bedroom voices again. Again?? Well, yeah I used to listen to them back when I was in college I think. I find them so perky, especially in the mornings, they have the power to kick your brains and laugh with them. I just admire their wit and intelligence!

So, downloading complete! I got my first dose of, “Morning Rush Daily Top 10.” Well, it was around 1 o’clock and still not in my usual me. I pressed play and boom!! It was a delight to hear their voices. How articulate they are, their tone was superb. The topic was 10 things to say to a lousy lover. I was laughing every time they would react to the sender’s statements. And loved the way they explain things in a way that it’s not going to come out as a vulgar words. MTRCB is listening! Laughs! I can’t also discount the fact that I learned some new things from their radio program. Dumb as I can be, now I know that putting water in a microwave is not good because can explode into your face the moment you remove the container from the oven, and also that thing about black and white. White is the presence of all the colors and Black is the absence of all colors! Whatever it is, it’s like that.

So I was in the couch for more than an hour, listening and laughing and also learning. If the radio program is as good as Chico and Delamar’s, I won’t definitely mind hearing their voices and listening to them everyday. I won’t change channel as well just to get my Morning Rush with Chico and Delamar fix everyday. But unfortunately, I’m not able to, good thing I can grab it from podcast! :)

Kurba is back! After being gone for a long time, im here again to write and share my senseless thoughts!

I have been into a lot of things when i was gone, i didn't really left the world wide web but i was just too lazy and pre occupied with nothing, laughs! I promise to myself i will write and post as many entries as i can. I will o back as far as March, just to share what i have been up to.

Since i got this new gadget, i will be able to write and post my entries without the hassle of sitting down on my lappy. I just love Steve Jobs! Well, that's another topic! So, my dear cyberworld. Welcome me with open arms...laughs!

Bringing back the old times.

A boring monday, was just looking at some old stuff and i found an old ID picture. I think the picture was 16 years back! I was really happy and giggling when i saw the picture. It brought back some of my elementary memonts. How dumb i was, well until now! Lols! I was just thinking how innocent i looked like before and how pure were my thoughts before. I wish i could alter my dreams and be back when i was still a toddler learning simple things or back when i was still in grade school discovering simple facts of life. So much for that, here is the picture.

When craving strikes!

It was Sunday yesterday and was just sitting infront of the tv, laptop and my phones. My tastebuds were kinda looking for something streetfood! I'm a fan of street food. Back when i was in college, i always wait for kwek-kwek, kikiam, squidballs and fishballs. In the streets of U-belt i always find myself eating these yummy treat!

Yesterday, i got my streetfood fix. For P45 i got a bag of kikiam and squid balls. Fried it! And made some spicy sweet and sour sauce! Match it with soda, the best! My mom and sister got their share of my street food fix! Yum yum!

Sweet & Goodies

Perfect match with a hot cappuccino or warm chamomile tea. Before we head and have a night cup,i dropped by to Sweets and Goodies and grabbed my favorite carrot cake. I didn't bother how much was it all i knew was I'm ready for a treat! The cake is oh so yummy, it's chewy and chunky plus it is not too sweet.

After having a feast at Fish & Co., we decided to have coffee and tea at Dome Cafe. I had chamomile tea and all of them had cappuccino. I like having tea after a huge and heavy meal, so calming and will tend to make u feel that you are not so full. Although i had to match it with a dessert, a carrot cake.

Late afternoon last Tuesday, I decided to satisfy my gastronomic appetite for sea edibles. It wasn’t our first choice because there were other restaurants around which also serve good selection of seafood. But today, I get to be the boss =)

We headed to Fish & Co. at the 2nd level of Shangri-La Plaza Mall. Since it was on a Tuesday, there was not much of a crowd. In fact it was just us and another table. We were greeted very warmly by the crew and were seated beside the glass windows.

We then quickly picked our choices and here were my choices:

The Strawberry Iced Tea, the best iced tea to date!

The Prawn Trellis, very crispy shrimp rolls!

Perfect with sweet and sour dip. YUM!

I also got a Just For Me Meal, Seafood Platter!

There is shrimp, calamares, grilled dory fish, fries and java rice!

This dish is very filling. Although it just serves one on their menu, it’s big enough to cover for two hungry peeps. =) Worth your penny!!

Fish & Chips!!!

This was the reason why i insisted to go here! They have the best Fish & chips. Well at least for me. Laughs!

The serving again was big enough to share with another person. The moment you dig into this dory fish, crispiness will welcome you and when you reached the middle a very very soft fish with let you drool. Oooopppsss, tissue please! Laughs! Their lemon butter sauce was also to die for, i even asked for extra cup of the dip.

We ate here for like an hour and a half! So full of good food, mixed with good conversations! We were so full that we ended up having a night cup.

CBTL: Sansrival

My sister was oh so sweet! She handed me over a covered Tupperware right when I arrived from work one night. I asked, "What is this?" She then uttered, "Just open it." And so I did! When I opened the canister, to my surprise is a slice of Sans rival from Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf! I instantly grabbed a spoon and dogged into it before even having dinner.

Sans rival from CBTL is P135/slice. It may seem over the top but with its taste, it deserves a big applause! Butter content is just enough, the dough’s not tough, cashew nuts gave it a crunch and the over all experience was heavenly! Another yummy treat! Thanks to my beloved sister!

Kurba is back!

Hi peeps, Kurba is back in the blogging world! Damn got tons of work and I almost forgot to share a lot of good stuff with you. (Nah! as if I got readers) LOLS! Well, in the past weeks I have been to places and did a lot of things. Work was just fine, it’s still there and enjoying my last days of morning work schedule coz by mid-March I will be on the night schedule again. I might be posting more about food coz yeah! Kurba is a foodaholic…obviously! While not being able to go online, I was also able to write a poem, an essay and some cheesy stuff.
