Often we’ll stop at the local school and stop by the playground. All three of the kidzers like the playscape and swings. One day they won’t care much about them anymore so I went ahead and caught a quick video of our trip to this favorite Playground.

I’ve often thought how much playgrounds have changed. When looking at this one I wonder where the standard metal "merry-go-round" went to. What about the tall metal twisty-slide? Remember the larger, steel "Rocket Ship" playscapes? Don’t see those around much anymore.

My friend at the office, Jim Anderson, had tickets and decided to give them away no strings attached! (thanks Jim) The tickets were for a suite as well, which was neat because I’ve never watched a game from a suite before.

Christina and I decided to leave the youngest two with Aunt Jessie and brought Alena with us. We got free parking at the Compuware, the company my dad works for. The game got hit with a heavy storm and was delayed for quite some time while the rain passed. By the time it was over it was about 10pm and it was time to go, even though there were 5 innings to go.

Alena appreciated the experience more than the game, obviously, so it didn’t bother me much. We got some good footage, montaged it together and here it is for you on our family video blog .

In this episode we see how they’ve gotten into their "teenage" years. The buggers are rather ugly if you ask me…but when they follow their parents around in the pond and all it’s pretty entertaining. I wonder when the little ones will shed their baby feathers and start flying?

When I was a kid (…as in me Brian) we used to have to walk through a subway under the road. It was kinda spooky…but neat in it’s own way. Now that path is blocked off. Feels a bit sad every time we go over the new bridge. But I guess it makes more sense and is safer for everyone.
