We are proud indeed!

I took my son for a walk this weekend and as we were going past the local high school I saw the sign. I didn't have my phone on me at the time but went back on Monday. Thank goodness it was still there! I hope this is a joke because it IS pretty funny! FYI it's spelled wrong on BOTH sides of the sign...

How to Knit Socks

Another one of my favourite things to make, socks are one of those things that you can make as individual as you are. These are made in the round on 4 double pointed needles. It may seem intimidating at first, but really it's not. With a little practise you'll get just as hooked as me.

If you are just getting started one standard ball of yarn should be enough to make a pair of ankle socks

Self-Publishing Your Patterns and How-to's (Pt. 3)

Like many things in my life, self-publishing is a continual process and I keep learning new things as I go. My latest project Simple Seed Bead Rings You Can Make was the biggest and most elaborate that I've taken on yet. It is so big, as a matter of fact, that my "simple" little how-to grew large enough that it required a table of contents. All of my previous patterns were short and sweet,

Seed Bead Rings You Can Make

Design your own ring with this bead graphing paper.

Thanks for stopping by my page. I hope you are enjoying the seed bead ring tutorial. If you haven't seen it yet, you can use the link below to check it out on Kindle. Don't have a Kindle? No problem! You can always download it to your computer and read it using amazon's free app.
I've also added it to KDP Select Program. This means that

Why I'm Not a Good Wife

The happy housewife!
The following is a short list of all the "wifely duties" I am expected to fulfill and accomplish on a daily basis to make my husband's life easier. Apparently, going to work is so difficult that when he comes home he needs to have his every need and want attended to because I have nothing better to do than to attend to them. That's right! I knew I had forgotten something

Proof of Aliens and UFOs?

Earlier in October when my husband and I were driving to town we hit some bad weather. Just as we were moving out of it we were lucky enough to see a beautiful rainbow! We saw both ends, but the sneaky leprechaun had already moved his gold. Ironically, we were going to the casino but the gold was gone from there too!

This one is a bit different and involves learning how to do a backwards crochet edging. It's pretty simple and I've provided videos for you to learn how. You can view the video playlist for this discloth on my

How to Knit a Pair of Slippers

I've decided to share one of my most favourite things to knit...slippers just like Grandma used to make. I've given the pattern so any one can create them for adults from a woman's size 7-12 or a man's 6-11. This is a great pattern to practice if you are a new knitter. Make sure you maintain the correct gauge! The sizing for the slippers is based on it. If you match your gauge to mine

Knit a Simple Dishcloth

This is a great project for anyone who is just learning how to knit. It is not an overly complicated project and the yarn is easy to find and not too expensive. Best of all the final result gives you something you can use, even if it doesn't turn out perfectly ;-)
