Miranda Lambert is getting ready to embark on her 2018 Livin’ Like Hippies Tour, but ran into a bit of trouble after a snowstorm hit her home in Nashville.

“Hello, this is me,” Lambert said in an Instagram video. “Literally pulling my luggage to my bus in my little red wagon because I’m trapped on my hill and I’m leaving for tour in 4 hours. It’s the most cliche, ridiculous thing that’s ever happened to me.”

Football is one way Snoop Dogg gives back.

The rap icon has revealed the trailer for Coach Snoop, a new take on the series that debuts February 2 on Netflix.

The trailer goes behind the scenes of Snoop Youth Football League, showing how the rapper helps shape young lives through sports. The rapper is seen coaching the players, local South Central Los Angeles boys dealing with the often harsh reality of their lives.

“Music gave me the power to create a football league, but football is taking me to places music could have never taken me to,” the rapper says in the clip.

Coach Snoop originally debuted as a series on AOL back in 2016.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and country star Chris Young had quite the bonding moment this week.

It started when Young jumped on Twitter yesterday (Jan. 17) to share his thoughts on Johnson’s latest movie.

“Ok…. the new Jumanji movie is insanely good,” Young tweeted, adding the hashtag #thatisall and tagging some of the movie’s stars, including Johnson, Jack Black, Karen Gillan and Kevin Hart.

The Rock saw the tweet, and responded to thank Young for the kind words, as well as letting the country singer know that he’s a fan of his music.

“Thank ya man. Glad you loved Jumanji as much as I did making it,” the actor replied. “And for the record, ‘The Man I want to Be’ came along at the perfect time. Helped me get thru some tough times but that’s for another conversation over tequila.”

Young was fast to take the Rock up on his invitation to chop it up in person, and even offered to bring the spirits.

“Anytime man! I love that song,” Young replied on Twitter. “Don Julio 1942 on me.”

We’ll be sure to keep an eye on this budding BFF bromance.

Drake and the Toronto Raptors are getting together to give back.

The rapper and his hometown NBA team have announced a $3 million Canadian donation to be shared across a pair of basketball-focused initiatives (via Billboard).

One million is slated to upgrade a dozen local community basketball courts, while the other two million will be given to stalwart nonprofit federation Basketball Canada, whose mission statement is to “aspire to excellence in leading the growth and development of the game at home, and in pursuing medal performances on the international stage.”

The initiative was announced last night (Jan. 17) at the Raptors’ Air Canada Centre with a press conference held by Drake and Raptors President Masai Ujiri.

The pair also revealed “Welcome Toronto” project, which is described by the team as “an immersive brand experience focused on art, community and ball.” It will include six OVO-themed Raptors’ games for each of the next three NBA seasons. There will also be new OVO-edition uniforms and an OVO-designed black and gold home court.

“It’s nice to have the uniforms and the fancy court and the merchandise and stuff like that, but what was most important to me was just the call to action,” Drake said at the press conference. “In this day and age, it’s really easy to go on social media and talk about things that we’d like to see change or things that we think are wrong, then there’s an opportunity, when you’re presented with one, to be able to do something about it.”

“The biggest thing I’m most proud of with this partnership is the million dollars that we’re going to be giving to the city to redo these courts and, hopefully, to create an amazing atmosphere for anyone in that community to come out and either play casual basketball or potentially breed the next generation of Canadian basketball superstars, which goes to our other donation of 2 million dollars to Canada Basketball who have produced incredible talent.”

The Welcome Toronto OVO-Raptors partnership starts on Jan. 26 against the Utah Jazz, followed by Jan. 28 against the L.A. Lakers. The Raptors will wear the new OVO uniforms and debut the OVO-designed home court.

The other OVO games are Feb. 2 (vs. Portland Trail Blazers), March 9 (vs. Houston Rockets), March 23 (vs. Brooklyn Nets) and April 6 (vs. Indiana Pacers).

When Tomb Raider returns to the big screen a new actress will be taking over the role of Lara Croft from Angelina Jolie: Alicia Vikander (Ex Machina, The Danish Girl).

The big-screen blockbuster has revealed a new trailer this week, packed with heart-pounding action and thrilling special effects.

As the trailer progresses, a slow, dramatic song swells in the background. As the action in the video reaches a particularly harrowing moment—Laura Croft dangling precariously over a steep waterfall from the wing of a crashed airplane—the song reveals itself as Destiny Child’s “Survivor.”

This, however, isn’t the peppy 2001 version of “Survivor” featuring Da Brat that the world remembers from it being played heavily on pop radio (and everywhere else) back in the day.

For the Tomb Raider trailer, “Survivor” has been slowed down into a sparse, minimal power ballad style, with massive jungle drums and big orchestra bursts to amp up the bombastic action happening onscreen. The new version of the track was crafted by 2WEI, whose work has been featured in numerous film trailers.

This isn’t the first time a Beyoncé-related song has been given the slowed-down movie trailer treatment. The singer and producer Boots crafted a downbeat 2014 remix of her hit, “Crazy in Love,” for the original Fifty Shades of Grey movie.

Maren Morris has broken out as a country superstar, thanks to the chart-topping success of her fourth studio album Hero. This year, she earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Solo Performance for her hit “I Could Use a Love Song” and will perform at the GRAMMY concert in tribute to victims of the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting. The singer also crossed the boundaries of country music last year to collaborate with former One Direction singer turned solo star Niall Horan on his song “Seeing Blind.”

In a new interview with Billboard, Morris revealed a few other artists who are on her dream collaborators list.

“I’d love to record with Ed Sheeran or Bruno Mars; they’re just such super talented artists,” she said. “Also I have been listening a lot to R&B artist Kehlani lately. I think she’s fantastic and would love the idea of recording with her.”

Morris says she’s not afraid of facing criticism for stepping outside the country world: “Fans don’t think that way about the genres, it’s just about good music.”

Manchester Orchestra have released a live video for their current single “The Gold.”

Migos’ Offset has apologized for a perceived homophobic lyric (“I cannot vibe with queers”) found in his guest verse on YFN Lucci’s single, “Boss Life.”

“I didn’t write the line about gay people,” the rapper wrote on Instagram. “I got love for all people. My passion for fashion has lead me to a lot of gay people around me who I have mad respect for and we are very cool so I’m not in a place where I’m hating like that.”

The rapper goes on to explain that his usage of the word “queer” wasn’t a shot at the LGBTQ community, digging into the songs dictionary definition.

“When I wrote that I was thinking of words that could rhyme with the others (here, lear, solitaire, bear) and I saw this definition about her having a queer feeling she was being watched and it fit what I was thinking about a stalker creepy paparazzi situation,” Offset wrote. “To me that ‘queer’ I don’t mean someone who’s gay. I mean lame people who film you, post it and stalk you. Lingo that means strange or odd. I M S O R R Y I A P O L O G I Z E I’m offended I offended anybody.”

John Oates has debuted “Miss the Mississippi and You,” the latest advance track from his upcoming solo album, Arkansas.

The song, which finds the Hall and Oates singer in a melancholy mood,  is credited to Bill Halley and was made famous by early country star Jimmie Rodgers.

Jason Aldean is taking his show on the road.

The country star has announced the High Noon Neon Tour, a 34-city run that launches in Kansas City, MO, on May 10.

Special guests Luke Combs and Lauren Alaina will serve as opening acts on the tour.

Justin Timberlake’s Super Bowl Halftime Show is one of 2018’s most anticipated musical events and February 4 is approaching fast.

In collaboration with show sponsor Pepsi, Timberlake has made a video teaser that provides a taste of what his set will include. The clip opens with career footage of Justin performing hits like “Sexyback” and “Cry Me A River.”

Then we see Timberlake exiting a black SUV at a performance or rehearsal venue. He describes how high the stakes are when millions of people are watching.

“I am getting an opportunity to have the stage to myself. I believe it’s also the place where there’s nothing wrong with giving people what they want,” he says.

During the preview, Justin is seen circling up with his backup dancers, surveying the stage and carrying a guitar. “For 12 or 13 minutes, we’ll have a really good time,” he says.

U2 get animated and political for the band’s new music video.

“Get Out of Your Own Way,” the latest single from the group’s current full-length, Songs of Experience, has been set to a provocative animated visual created by the Broken Fingaz Crew. The clip uses a variety of imagery, but perhaps most striking are those of Ku Klux Klan members and President Trump.

“The video addresses the current political situation: 2017 for us was the year fascists worldwide felt confident enough to raise their heads again, encouraged by Trump and other world leaders, who use people’s fear to build more walls and segregation,” Broken Fingaz Crew said in a press statement.

“The song is both a personal letter and a clarion cry to the global situation, and in the same way, we’ve combined our psychedelic pop style with political imagery; shot entirely analog, using paper cut and stop-motion animation techniques in collaboration with Adam Albo, who edited the video.”

The 2018 All-Star Game is set to be played on Feb. 18 at the Staples Center in California. While the starting lineups are due to be announced later today, the musical entertainment has already been revealed as the Pharrell and his group N.E.R.D have been tapped for the halftime show performance.

Pharrell is expected to perform a medley of his hits alongside songs from N.E.R.D’s most recent release, No One Ever Really Dies. No stranger to collaboration, Pharrell may even bring some surprise guests to the stage and he has many to choose from.

In addition to a halftime set by Pharrell and N.E.R.D, Fergie will be in attendance to perform the National Anthem while Barenaked Ladies will sing the Canadian national anthem.

Haim have announced their touring itinerary for 2018.

The group tweeted a video announcing the tour, which will kick off April 3 in Portland, Oregon and wrap up May 28 in Morrison, Colorado. In the clip, the sisters perform choreography to the theme song of Sister, Sister — the 1990s switched-at-birth comedy starring Tia and Tamera Mowry.

The 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards will include a tribute to victims and survivors of the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting in Las Vegas, where 58 people died last October. Eric Church, Maren Morris and the Brothers Osbourne will play the GRAMMY set, which airs live on January 28.

The three artists performed at the Route 91 Festival prior to the tragic shooting.

“Live music events have always provided a safe space for fans to gather in a shared celebration of music. Sadly, that wasn’t always the case this past year,” said Neil Portnow, President/CEO of the Recording Academy in a prepared statement. “We believe it’s incredibly important to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in these senseless tragedies and to remind musicians and music lovers alike that live music will continue to be a powerful force that unites us all.”

The tribute performance will feature a GRAMMY-winning country song which has not been revealed.

The music world was shaken by the sudden death of Cranberries singer Dolores O’Riordan earlier this week. The singer, who was 46, died in a hotel room in London on Tuesday (Jan. 16) and numerous tributes have poured in from across the music spectrum.

Now, O’Riordan’s boyfriend has released a heartfelt statement (via People). Ole Koretsky played with the late singer in the alt-rock band D.A.R.K. and posted his message on the group’s website.

“My friend, partner, and the love of my life is gone,” Koretsky wrote. “My heart is broken and it is beyond repair. Dolores is beautiful. Her art is beautiful. Her family is beautiful. The energy she continues to radiate is undeniable. I am lost. I miss her so much. I will continue to stumble around this planet for some time knowing well there’s no real place for me here now.”

Fellow bandmate and former Smiths’ bassist Andy Rourke also shared his grief.

“I am heartbroken and devastated by the news of the sudden and unexpected passing of Dolores,” he said. “I have truly enjoyed the years we spent together and feel privileged to call her a close friend. It was a bonus to work with her in our band D.A.R.K. and witness firsthand her breathtaking and unique talent. I will miss her terribly. I send my love and condolences to her family and loved ones.”

Tinashe is back with “No Drama,” a sultry R&B track featuring a guest appearance from Migos’ Offset.

The new track was produced by Stargate, and will presumably appear on the artist’s long-awaited third studio album Joyride.

It’s the first of three new tracks the singer recently teased, the other two being “Me So Bad,” and “Faded Love.”

Keith Urban will be spending a good portion of 2018 on the road promoting his new album Graffiti U. The singer announced the tour and album Wednesday night (Jan. 17) during a surprise pop-up show in Nashville.

The intimate two-hour concert included a performance with Kelsea Ballerini, who will open the North American leg of the tour. During the show, the two country stars sang a cover of Camila Cabello’s “Never Be the Same.” See fan footage of their performance here.

Urban’s 58-city tour kicks off on June 15 in St. Louis and runs through November 3 in Dallas.

“I’ve been full-on writing, recording, collaborating and creating with some incredibly talented people for Graffiti U, a lot of whom I’ve never worked with before,” Urban said in a press release. “I can hear how some of the songs will translate live already, which really makes putting on a new show so exhilarating and I loved having our fans included in the announcement of the tour because it’s their tour too.”

Justin Timberlake has released his new single “Supplies” and its accompanying video, which features an appearance by Pharrell Williams.

The track is the latest from Timberlake’s highly anticipated studio album Man of the Woods, which is slated to be released on Feb. 2.

In the futuristic video, Timberlake sits and stares at a wall of television monitors broadcasting news clips about racism, misogyny and violence. He wanders a street filled with costumed, white-painted people, alligators and a man with a necklace made of handguns. Timberlake accompanies these powerful images with a love story depicted by warm embraces, face-stroking, and circles of fire spinning around him and his lover.

The pop star took part in the popular Tonight Show segment last night (Jan. 17) with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots.

Cabello’s steamy performance opened with the singer emerging from a dressing room after singing the opening lines of the song into a vanity mirror.

Dancing through a backstage area through racks of wardrobe, the singer emerges onto a cabaret stage, eventually making her way down into a mock club setting. It’s quite the elaborate production that fans will definitely enjoy.

Cabello’s “Havana” followed an interview with Ellen, where she discussed what it was like performing in New York’s Times Square in frigid sub-zero temperatures on New Year’s Eve and the extreme measures she took to stay warm.

Kacey Musgraves posted a video on Tuesday (Jan. 16) as she sat in the car with a flashy karaoke microphone and one of her very famous friends sitting in the seat beside her.

Cindy Frey, the widow of late Eagles’ star Glenn Frey, is suing a New York City hospital for wrongful death in the case of her husband.

Frey filed the suit against Mount Sinai hospital in Manhattan and gastroenterologist Steven Itzkowitz accusing both of “negligence for failing to properly treat her late husband’s ulcerative colitis, diagnose and treat infection, and advise of the risks and side effects from treatment” (via Reuters).

Frey died of complications from acute ulcerative colitis, pneumonia and rheumatoid arthritis.

The complaint seeks unspecified damages for Cindy Frey, the mother of Frey’s three children and overseer of his estate.

Frey’s son, Deacon Frey, is now touring as a member of the Eagles.

A Mount Sinai spokeswoman said the hospital does not comment on pending litigation, and Frey’s lawyer declined to elaborate on the suit.

Now that fans have a chance to take in “Filthy,” Justin Timberlake is ready to unleash a new song “Supplies” on the world.

Timberlake is teasing the second song and video from his upcoming Man of the Woods album with a snippet of the clip shared via Instagram.

The new video appears to have a political slant, with the teaser featuring the singer sitting in front of a large bank of TV sets showing images of people with guns and the phrase “Stop Racism Now.”

Timberlake’s new video is due to debut tomorrow (Jan. 18) at 8 a.m. EST.

Jones, famous for his appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, hit the court to show off some impressive dance moves to Ayo and Teo’s song “Rolex,” much to the delight of the crowd.

Zac Brown and his side project Sir Rosevelt have released a new track, “It Goes On.” The powerful war anthem is set to be featured in the upcoming movie, 12 Strong.

The film is based on Doug Stanton’s 2009 bestseller, Horse Soldiers: The Extraordinary Story of a Band of U.S. Soldiers Who Rode to Victory in Afghanistan. According to Rolling Stone, it tells the story of 12 Green Berets who were tasked “to take on the Taliban and its Al Qaeda followers.”

12 Strong stars Chris Hemsworth as Captain Mitch Nelson alongside Michael Shannon, William Fichtner, Elsa Pataky, and more. The Jerry Bruckheimer film hits theaters this Friday, January 19.

Paris, meet Paul.

Paris Jackson, the daughter of music legend Michael Jackson, met Beatles icon Paul McCartney this week, and it was a very emotional moment for her.

“I cried like a god—- baby,” Jackson wrote next to the photo of her meeting McCartney for the first time.

McCartney and Michael Jackson have plenty of shared history, including a pair of Top 10 hit singles (“Say Say Say,” “The Girl is Mine”), as well as the pair’s infamous battle over the rights to the Beatles’ catalog, which Jackson bought back in the 1980s.

Paris Jackson met McCartney earlier this week (Jan. 16) in Los Angeles at his daughter Stella McCartney’s fashion show, where he also performed (via TMZ).

They take 15 hours to make. They are the only major entertainment award trophies that are still poured by hand. Oh, and they’re made in a small town whose population is just 945 people. They are the trophies that will be awarded during this year’s GRAMMY Awards.

Craftsman John Billings, who resides Ridgeway, CO is known simply as the “Grammy Man.” He has been designing the trophies for Music’s Biggest Night for more than 30 years.

The 72-year-old craftsman is responsible for the creation of 600 GRAMMY trophies from his rural workshop each year.

Whoa! How does he do it?

Billings won’t spill too many of his secrets, but he says that each trophy is made of a mixture of zinc, aluminum, and some secret trace elements. He calls the secret combination “grammium.”

Billings spoke about the important promise he made the trophy’s first craftsman, and he shared some insight on the creation process when CBS Morning News visited his studio in the video below.

The 2018 GRAMMY Awards will broadcast live from New York City’s Madison Square Garden at 7:30 PM ET on CBS Sunday, January 28.

Two of country music’s biggest acts are teaming up for a massive 2018 tour.

Lady Antebellum and Darius Rucker have announced plans for the Summer Plays on Tour, with the pair sharing headlining duties and featuring special guest Russell Dickerson.

The tour kicks off July 19 in Toronto, Canada, with dates scheduled through October 6, when it wraps up in Bristow, VA.

“For us as a band, being out on the road together is where it all comes to life,” said Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley in a press statement. “Darius is one of our closest friends, and so we just feel really excited to get to share this tour and those memories on and off stage with him. There’s no doubt that it’s going to be a total blast and we’re thrilled to have Russell out with us too this summer – we’re already brainstorming ways to shake things up and make each night all about just being in the moment.”

“Reuniting this summer and heading back out on the road with my friends Lady Antebellum feels like a home away from home,” Rucker added. “It’s going to be an incredible summer, and I can’t wait to see y’all out there!”

Fans can purchase tickets beginning Jan. 26 for select cities as part of Live Nation’s Country Megaticket, and additional dates will continue to roll-out over the coming weeks. Citi cardmembers will have access to pre-sale tickets through Citi Private Pass.

Hit after hit, the latest album from Macklemore is proving to be a must-listen for just about every kind of music fan. Of course, one reason why Gemini may garner Mack his first solo GRAMMY nomination could be the chemistry the Seattle rapper has with each of his collaborators.

From Kesha to Lil Yachty, Gemini features a legit who’s who of stars. Other guests on Macklemore’s first solo studio album without Ryan Lewis in over a decade include Skylar Grey, Offset, Reignwolf, Xperience, and more. Gemini dropped back in September with “Glorious” as the lead single. That was followed up with “Marmalade” featuring Lil Yachty. Macklemore and Kesha will hit the road this summer for a fun-filled joint tour… that may or may not include some rollerblading!

This April will mark two years since Prince’s passing.  To celebrate his life and legacy, his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota will hold a four-day celebration of music which will include the theatrical concert event Prince: Live on the Big Screen.

The tribute show will feature his all-star band with special guests accompanied by “newly remastered and never-before-released audio and video of Prince.”  The show is scheduled to takes place at the Target Center on April 21.

The concert is one of many events planned during Celebration 2018, which runs from April 19-22, according to Billboard.

Tickets go on sale Saturday, Jan. 20.

The Australian country star has shared a snippet of his upcoming single, “Parallel Line,” on social media.

The teaser was revealed via Twitter, with a release date of this Friday, Jan. 19.

Maroon 5’s Adam Levine has Snapchat to thank for the band’s new music video.

The band’s new clip for “Wait” features the singer and The Voice coach performing the song through a seemingly endless variety of Snapchat filters in a range of locations.

No filter is left unturned as Levine is seen with rabbit ears, rocking giant glasses, and sporting a dog face. The singer’s wife, Behati Prinsloo, also makes a brief cameo in the clip.

Logic’s “1-800-273-8255” featuring Alessia Cara and Khalid has become an anthem of hope for just about everyone. The song title is the phone number for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. It was released as his third single from the American rapper’s third studio album, Everybody. Logic’s life-changing song was Billboard’s highest charting single of 2017.

“That’s What I Like” – Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars’ “That’s What I Like” was the second single to be released from his 24K Magic album. The singer-songwriter’s certified-platinum R&B track is a flashback to the early ’90s. We agree with Vulture when they say, “You’ll probably hear it at weddings forever.” Mars has earned a total of six nominations at this year’s GRAMMYs.

California rockers Dirty Heads honor their family and fans in the band’s new music video, “Celebrate.”

The new clip, directed by Wayne Isham, combines footage of the band performing the song with personal home movies and images of rabid fans at shows.

“It’s a look inside a band and touring as well as the journey you take to make it,” explained singer Dustin “Duddy B” Bushnell in a press statement. “We’re not b—-ing about anything, but you’re on the road and you miss your family. We all started doing this a while ago. None of us were married at the time. None of us had kids. Now it’s all different.”

“Celebrate,” which features the Unlikely Candidates, is the second single from Dirty Heads’ most recent album, Swim Team.

Justin Timberlake personally debuted his new album, Man of the Woods, at a woodland themed event in New York City on Tuesday, Jan. 16.

Attendees grazed on insect delicacies as they listened to the project, which the singer has called his “most personal album ever.”

Timberlake said to the crowd attending that the album was inspired by his son Silas, whose name means “living in the woods,” reports Billboard. The 2-year old Timberlake even appears on the closing track, “Young Man,” while Alicia Keys and Chris Stapleton also make guest appearances on the 16-track collection.

His wife, Jessica Biel, along with family and friends, including Stranger Things’ Gaten Matarazzo, attended the event.

Man of the Woods in its entirety will be available on Feb. 2, prior to Timberlake’s Super Bowl LII halftime performance.

While most students are happy with just the news that they get to take the day off from school thanks to a snow day, principals around the country are elevating the announcements to an art form.

The latest case in point comes from Vice Principal Jim Matthews of North Pontotoc Elementary in Mississippi, who got a little creative with the exciting news of a snow day.

Matthews donned a sideways baseball cap and a pair of shades to rap the snow day announcement in the style of 50 Cent’s 2003 smash, “In Da Club.”

Vice Principal Matthews is really bringing some serious cool to this Mississippi elementary school.

The best part about fighting with the one you love is making up.

It’s been snowing heavily in Nashville, and cute country couple Faith Hill and Tim McGraw made the best of the situation, staging a massive snowball fight outside of their home.

Hill shared a moment from the “fight” on Instagram, with each side dousing the other in big piles of snow.

“Kiss…… You’re forgiven,” she shared on the followup post, featuring the couple kissing and making up after exchanging snow blows.
