"This is written by someone who played a lot of MMORPGs out there , so believe me I know what I’m saying - Lineage 2 has the best group pvp experience ever , surpassing WoW , Guild Wars and many others .

Ladies and gent's, at the end of the day you must admit pvp in Lineage 2 is a matter of numbers, HUGE numbers. For I live the most intense feelings when I'm surrounded by hundreds of players who are fighting each other , when I see order in chaos, when I understand the insignificant meaning of the number 1 (one ^^) … L2 is not a game for the weak of heart. Those who seek an easy game pick World of Warcraft (WoW) where you can level-up to max lvl in a month, after which they will join "the online sensation" of desperation in looking for a group channel, or pvp-ing "to the max" with 20-100 people in a battleground.

I don’t want to talk about the waste of time on L2 private servers where chances are you will meet around 100 active players, seldom more. And since Lineage 2 is a matter of numbers....private servers just can't cope. And don’t even get me started on the abomination of private X5000 L2 servers - they're no more lineage than pokemon – skills rarely work the way they should, and that’s the least of problems there.

In the in the end it's like this : Lineage 2 compares to real life, you are alone in a sea of people who will scam, steal, lie, cheat to get by … but sometimes you will find true persons in this chaos, few of many who can make your time worthwhile.

I'm proud to say I found some special people out there, a bunch of few that stood against many and alongside which I won and lost countless battles. Unfortunately, I had to lose 11 months on World Of Warcraft before I realized what I had (back in L2) and what I lost .

Finally, for those of you who like to say "you got no life", I simply reply like this - Lineage 2 is like a hobby to me, I don't neglect anything for it, but when I play I really put passion into it. Oh, and it’s far better than wasting time with no final, grand satisfaction in."

L2 Passion (Everlast) short review

A short review of a private server that really deserves appreciation - L2 Passion. It is the result of a merge between L2 Everlast and RedDragon. I came upon it from the L2 everlast DB, and suprisingly it is a job well done. The build of the server might sound a bit weird to you - it's a L2M. Not a L2J, not a L2 off. Something in between that works just great for a private server.

What I really loved about L2 Passion - it has a mature community. Yeah... you'll find pretty much anything you need in the market. Just like on official servers. This is not so impressive at first glance, you will say, because there are a lot of private servs out there that have very large communities and a lot of items on the market. But L2 Passion has roughly 4-500 players online at any time, so you get a clean game and don't get caught up in the endless farming for an A grade set (which is really hard if there's nobody selling at least some parts on the market).

In short, a medium, mature community that has a lot to offer to new players. Unlike most private servers, this one helps it's new fans through an interesting system. You can collect special items (coins for ex) that are very easy to acquire in the lower levels (below 40). And ofc you can sell them on the market for lots of cash just when you hit 40 (the high lvl players really need these items and will pay you tons of cash ^^). You get full C grade and extra adena - so no more boring grinding.

The staff looks pretty involved in their activity - you'll see some events, usually in the evenings. Events are pretty simple, just running around looking for hidden items, etc.

Frankly, L2 Passion really left me a good overall impression, unlike too many private servers out there. Feel free to check out L2 Passion here.

Some "minor" details you should consider if you plan on playing it a long time. The server didn't have a wipe in a few years. The database survived some updates and the merging with another server, so the devs are pretty good ^^. They do accept donations, but I don't mind donors. L2 divine / L2 walker are not accepted, but they do work if you try a bit - altough I wouldn't use them here. Trust me, it's a fun server ^^. Oh, and the main language is apparently polish. They tried to force english into use but it didn't work too much. Just learn this : kupie = buy and spredzam = sell . Bbye ^^.

Summer's almost over, so is my time off the game. L2 is gonna be frying my PC from now on ^^.

The bad news, which you surely know by now - L2 divine is pay to use. It is cheaper than the other bots, but still, it brings all the inconvenients of a buyable bot. For starters, people that generally use bots don't have full access to online payment tools. So if you can't pay, what good are the money you have in RL. I generally hate the fact that you have to pay a 30 day period for bots. You can't be next to your PC at least 20 days, let alone 30. So it's just throwing money out the window. But paying a 30 day period for EVERY account is what really pisses me off. For now this is how things work, so there's nothing we can change. You have the see the full part of the glass.

And to the tasty part... I've looked through the coding around L2 Divine. There is no way this bot is going to be craked too soon. L2 walker is easier to crack than this. And remember that L2 divine has a few "minor" (read as major) bugs in it ^^. No point in cracking a lousy bot.

For now I'm still high on L2 walker. I really am sorry that there is no free, trustable bot out there, but we'll just have to move along and see what happens next ^^.

Feast your eyes on these exclusive L2 lighters ! You can call them L2 goodies for smokers or just hardcore L2 players. Or both ^^ . Part of a limited edition collection, these are hard to get items. Maybe even harder than a dinasty set :D.

First up, the casual L2 lighter. Nice shield embedded. Does it ring a familiar bell ?

Next, a silver like lighter for a little bit more stealth. You don't wanna look like a freak when you show your lighter around, do you ? ^^

And finally, the gold piece. Of course a gold like L2 lighter. Careful not to chip its' edges.

Try Ebay for a lost lighter around the market. Chances are, though, you'll be in for quite a search before you find one of these rare L2 goodies.

Free exp in L2?

Here's a thought about a new feature that's gonna hit hard in L2. It's about the weird VP bar that's added to our screens. It works really simple. Stand in a peace zone for some time (like in selling/buying shop) and then you'll earn more exp when you kill mobs. This one came as a player suggested modification to the game. Sounds interesting, doesn't it ?

I just have one doubt on it... Who will earn more from this? Real life players ? Or real life bot managers ? I guess there's no way the all mighty bot (being it L2 walker, L2 divine or Superman) is ever going to be beaten.

The intent of this VP bar is to stimulate real players. I hope, and think it is going to do so. But please, feel free to present your arguments against it, as a lot of people think it's just going to bring more benefit to professional botters.

Working L2 walker crack

L2 walker has a brand new crack. Get your hands on the 1.98 version of L2 walker and you'll be able to bot on the NA servers. This version of the bot is actually for the koreean servers, but it works just as fine for us. The skills, items DB is in english, so the bot will work just fine - it will fight, buff just as your normal L2 walker. The only inconvenient is that the interface is in koreean - still, you should be able to use just fine if you know L2 walker good enough.

Anyway, good luck. The file is clean, scan it yourself if don't trust.

L2 walker and Xfire

Here's something that troubles some of my readers... "Does Xfire detect the usage of bot programs (walker and such) ?" . The answer : NO. As long as you're using the IG version of L2walker, Xfire will detect L2 running on your computer but not the bot itself.

You don't need to worry, as Xfire has no intention of detecting you botting. This is the job of the NCSOFT guys. Xfire just counts the hours you play a certain game. That's pretty much all they do that concerns you. Besides this, they make statistics that they can market with game companies and place lots of ads on their page and inside the programme. It's all about the money. So chill.

L2 Hellbound and Gracia

Troubled times we're living in... ^^ Lineage 2 Hellbound is about to go live on the NA servers. Some interesting changes are gonna hit us...Leaving aside the fact that we are heading into a lvl 85 cap for our mains (which gives me a headache), I can hardly wait to see the new Agathions, the rideable wolf and Fantasy Isle. Well these are the new features that make me tick. They just make the game fun.

As for Lineage 2 Gracia, things are really going to get interesting. We're gonna get a new indicator on our screens that will show you when you get more exp per mob, or when you're gonna get squat - because "you're not rested". Think of this like the "sleeping inside a World of Warcraft inn to get more exp on your next farming run" thingy.

Heya, guess what's small, black, looks cool and is designed especially for gamers ? It's not a mouse and it's not a keyboard. It's the Nostromo Speed Pad. The n52te made by Belkin.

I don't know about other kinds of games out there, but for a seasoned Lineage 2 player, the Nostromo comes in right on spot. It is just everything a hardcore gamer would want near his fingers. The 10 keys are programmable and well... I'll just tell you that PvPing with this gadget will make you godlike. It can autospam CP pots, use skills in certain order.... heck it does a lot of things for you. Just experiment around with it .

Lineage 2 and the bots

I know most of you out there are really attracted to the possibility of using a bot program to boost up your toon. Yeah, well, most of us are tempted to start leveling and farming adena while we sleep. Here's some pros and cons about the whole thing.

But first up : Risks you're taking when botting.
Obviously, you can get banned. If you somehow manage to escape the ban hammer, everyone on your server will start to gradually know you as just another bot - and it's gonna be too fking hard to escape that tag.

Bot programs in Lineage 2 - L2 walker, L2 divine and L2 Superman.

L2 walker is the most popular bot program out there. It's Pay to Use, 7$ per month. Some time ago there was a crack around the web. Last know info - there isn't a crack for L2 walker. Even if you find one, be carefull...lots of hidden keyloggers can be found in these "miraculous" cracks. Here is where you find L2 walker.

L2 Divine is the free bot. Constantly being developed, it's a bot that's gonna do the job. Not as good as L2 walker perhaps, but still - it's free. So far no outstanding complaints about the program not being safe to use (meaning it doesn't just start shouting to the admins that you're botting). L2 Divine cand be found here.

L2 Superman is ... well some say it's the ultimate botting experience. It hasn't been cracked so far and it's Pay to Use. Get more info for L2 Superman here.

All these bots have an in-game version ( IG ) and an Out Of Game version ( OOG ). My kind reccomandation : DO NOT use OOG version unless you're a chinese adena farmer. IG can easy go for 3 game clients and there's word on the forums that it's far much safer than the OOG version.

Anything you choose it's still risky. Get ready for an eventual ban...

Lineage 2 official VS private

Official servers are paid to play style, they are hosted by NCSOFT. Private servers are hacked versions of the official hosted by various guys around the world. As I told you before, private servers pretty much suck. They usually wipe the DB every 6 months, the game itself is bugged and you're not going to feel the game too much because the second you reach lvl 74 there will be some admin clan or character that will just terrorise you. Leaving aside the complete waste of time a private server is, they raise a fundamental question. Why can't NCSOFT shutdown the bots, while the private servers can ?

Yes, that's right. On the official Lineage 2 servers you can activate a bot program, but on most of the Lineage 2 private servers out there you can't. Why ? Simply because developers hired @ private servers can easily shutdown all access from bots. NCSOFT could even more easily do the same and get a Lineage 2 world free of bots (which everyone wants). But they don't.

This subject has been a long time dispute on the web... why won't the L2 team just put on hold all access from bot programs ? Is it because they have a revenue from the bot programs ? Is it because it will be a useless thing as the bot devs can break their safe guards ? Or maybe it's because of the structure in the Lineage 2 game - it's too hard to reach the top levels without a grinding work done by the player. This is just what people think.

Still, the Lineage 2 team is slowly but surely changing the game to make the players leave aside bots. The question is ... Will the players leave the bad habits aside ? I think not . The bot problem doesn't just affect L2, it's all over inside MMORPG games.

This is something going on worldwide in MMORPG games so the solution won't come easily. I just hope the L2 team takes a close look around them to see what changes in the mind of their players and come to meet their demands.

L2 private servers

Lineage 2 is a great game, being one of the leading titles for NCSOFT. And we all know the rule - "When something goes nice, it will surely take a nasty turn" :D . In 2004, hackers (apparently russians) got their hands on the first pirated version of the Lineage 2 servers. Thus the Lineage 2 private servers flooded the net.

The basics for an L2 private servers are pretty simple. They are free to play, but do accept donations or encourage players to click Google Ads daily - this is the only way they can get money to keep the server up.

The problem for any L2 private server is that they are filled with bugs. You'll get stuck inside buildings, your skills aren't gonna work or will be higly modified. Every version of private servers has one class (TH, HE for example) that will rule the world - mostly because they are bugged and hit you too hard.

If you're interested in checking a Lineage 2 private server you can find them on sites like Gamesites200 and many others.

My reccomandation: don't waste your time playing on L2 private servers. The database is usually erased every 6 months ( yes, your work for the past 6 moths just goes poof when the server admins feel like the need a fresh start ). On top of that, leaving the game bugs aside, private servers are illegal and the FBI shuts them down from time to time, like it happened in the past with the famous L2 extreme.

Lineage 2 advertises round the web by being the ultimate PvP experience out there. I personally found this to be true, but still the game does not draw as much players as you'd think it would. Ofc, not all the MMORPG players out there love PvP so much, but L2 addresses a small niche segment - the hardcore pvpers. The biggest competitor is World of Warcraft, despite having a totally different approach on the PvP aspects.

L2 PvP is based on encounters between groups, and the ability of the leader to manage his troops on the battle ground. WoW on the other hand thinks more of the small battles, where 4-5 players interact. The realism in Lineage is present in all PvP battles - they are fairly short and filled with elements of surprise like ambushes or strategic battle moves like the envelopment of the enemies troops. WoW is way far at the other end. PvP in there is much like a game of chess, where the individual needs to know a lot of inside info on skills, timing and have good reactions.

And this is the big gap between them. Boom ! Headshot! Does this wake a chill up your spine ? Well this is what Lineage 2 gives you in PvP. WoW pvpeing is mostly a cerebral action. L2 pvpeing is like a real war.

Lineage 2 pvp sounds good, but there's a problem that pushes players away - gamers generally want to be the 'do it yourself' kind. They don't like taking orders for the greater good, so they take on WoW and hope to be the best solo pvper out there. What you choose is what you like.

Lineage Gadgets

There are some cool gadgets out there for the hardcore Lineage 2 player, but one of the most controversial is the Xfire tool. Xfire is basicly a little 'messenger' type programme that records pretty much everything you play on your PC. So why should this attract a gamer ? Well simply because they'll give you a code to place on forums and websites that shows how many hours you've been playing. Sure, it's nice to show your 4000 + hours spent in Lineage or another game.
But things aren't as rosie as they seem. There's a little catch to the Xfire gadget. Some ppl around the web started rumours that the gadget is controlled somehow to show only some games in the code you've posted on the www. Of course, it's just a rumour... But i've personally noticed iregularities in the things the gadget shows - games I only played 5 hours display as first ranked, above 4k+ hours of other games. Weird to say the least.

Anyway, the gadget offers lots of support for WoW players, it really makes their like better. The rest just get a bone ^^. And a lot of PC or game crashes. The gadget isn't fine tunned for most of the games out there and there's a strong probability that you'll get your game crashed in the middle of PvP (or before you managed to save the game ^^).

Use their statistics section for an image of the mmorpg world seen through Xfire users' eyes. Take some reserves when analizing the tables - rememeber that only their users are included in the research and that the gadget tends to not be PC friendly for all games. I'm not gonna advertise them, just Google to find them, they're easy to get to :P .

Lineage 2 adena

Adena, the game currency used in Lineage 2, is by far the most desired thing throughout the player community. Many players are bent on acquiring as much adena as possible. The problem is that the Lineage 2 economy can rise or fall in an instant, as this is a player driven economy. The actions that players take when using adena on the market or at NPC’s will essentially influence the overall state of the economy. However it’s a difficult economy to be in so you will always face that inevitable question: How do I make more adena?

How about a Lineage 2 class guide for new players ? New to the game and feel like you’d wanna know what classes suit you better ? Well here’s the thing. You will first have to choose from 6 races: Humans, Elfs, Dark Elfs, Orcs, Dwarfs and Kamael. Classes from different races can have similar skills, but usually have different play styles. There are too many things to say about this so you can get more info in Lineage 2 guides.Here’s the introduction.

Humans are ‘well balanced’ in everything they can do. This is a race that takes a little bit from other races, but doesn’t take anything to the extreme. The result is that you’ll have a toon (character) that can fight well in most situations – but doesn’t excel in any (by itself). Humans usually do very well in groups, and in fact they are ment to do so even from their birth. They do not have too many skills that help them exping solo, and have a very specialized class tree.

Most ‘popular’ Human classes : Gladiator, Treasure Hunter, Hawkeye, Sorcerer, Bishop, Prophet. My personal favourite is the Paladin but there are generally not too many of them around.

Elfs are the ‘Speedy Gonzales’ race. They run fast, attack fast and sometimes die fast ^^. They are more specialized from their human counterparts and excel in some situations. The elven scouts rely on their critical chance – which means they will land a critical hit more often. On the other hand, elven mages are the fastest spell casters in the game.

Most popular classes : Swordsinger, Spellsinger, Elven Elder.

Dark elfs is a race that’s gonna hit you hard. They rely on the power of their attacks to kill the enemy and also use dark magic to cripple him. Fighters have a strong critical attack – they will hit you very hard on a crit. They can sometimes land a one shot kill on slightly lower levels. Mages are slow casters, but have very strong spells.

Most popular : Bladedancer, Abyss Walker, Phantom Ranger, Spellhowler.

Orcs are … well they’re orcs. I’m sure you’ve seen the foul orcs in Lord of The Rings. They are strong, but hard to play. Hard means tricky. You need quite some skills to play this race the way it’s meant to be played.

Dwarfes are money makers. They don’t excel in pretty much anything except in the skills they have to make money.

Kamael are the angelic race. They dark magic users with a lot of ambushing skills. They can get on top of you fast or criple you with one of their traps. Kamael classes depend on the sex you choose.

L2 kiki's desktop

I have to make one strong suggestion…before you go any deeper into L2 kiki’s resources you should prepare your command post. Yes, your desktop PC that is. Get a vivid L2 wallpaper, add a few stickers to your screen and an L2 sig to your mouse pad. Also you must try to get your hands on an L2 figurine – this will make your desk look uber fancy.

L2 kiki is offering you a suggestion of what your desk should look like. Look closely and take notes ^^. I expect you to show me better L2 personalized desks :D .

Let me give you a few hints on getting 'personalization' items. You can get a nice big L2 poster directly from the merchandise store. For a figurine try getting your hands on an L2 goodies pack or on the Epic Collection (available @ amazon.com). A selection of wallpapers can be found in the L2 kiki wallpapers collection.

Hallo and welcome to L2 kiki, the blog :D. I’m a MMORPG games player that’s become addicted to Lineage 2 and I’ve decided to share my point of view about the game and the marketing strategies of game corporations. Here you will find info about L2 gameplay, in-game politics, adena chit-chat and personal opinion about NCSOFT’s strategy plus more.

In case you aren’t a veteran game player already, I’ll break down some concepts to make it simple. For starters, MMORPG stands for massively multiplayer online role-playing game. Basicly, when playing this kind of game you will find yourself emerged in a world with thousands of players around you that can help or hurt you. It’s all about player interaction if you want to get on top.

Lineage 2 is a MMORPG that targets a specific market of hard-core players. L2 is widely known for it’s unmatched PvP (Player versus Player) action and is a game that demands a lot of time and dedication. It offers players a world based on reality, where politics is the deciding factor in battles and where strategy can be successful only if sustained by large groups…much like in real world politics :D.

I’ll add posts about a lot of aspects in L2. Adena, the game currency: making adena and the controversy around buying and selling adena online for real cash. In-game politics that are successful or not. My opinion about community events, NCSOFT actions involving L2 and pretty much everything I’ll find interesting to talk about.
