Teen Magic Workshop

Have you ever wondered how magicians do their magic? Do you want to learn to perform some magic of your own? The Magic Workshop will help get you started. In this special workshop, you will learn how to: make things disappear, read someone's mind, perform magic with rubber bands, and learn the cut and restored newspaper trick and much more.

Storybook of Dreams, presented by 9th Period Shows

When: Wednesday, June 13, 2012 - 2:00 PM
Where: Bonita Springs Branch Library at Meeting Room

Join your guides Joey, Alexandra, and of course Sydney, the live Eclectus parrot as they jump seamlessly between fantasy and reality. This show combines magic, music, comedy, and some of our puppet friends, to tell you about some of your favorite children's book characters who dared to dream big, and famous people who dared to dream bigger. All events are FREE, but registration (available one week before event) is required. Please register by picking up tickets at the library starting on June 6. Teen Martial Arts

Larry F. Goethie of SEMBACT (Soul, Earth, Mind, Body, Attitude, Control, Techniques) Martial Arts Academy and his troupe will demonstrate some moves that will inspire you to learn the art of self defense, participate in competition, improve your physical health and fitness, as well as mental, physical and spiritual development.

Out of My Hands Juggling, presented by Gerald Tricarico

Lights! Magic! Juggling! Black lights, strobe lights, rings, balls, and clubs displayed in many colors are all part of the special effects in this interactive show. Add a few magic tricks and juggling to music and it's sure to delight and amaze audiences of all ages. All events are FREE, but registration (available one week before event) is required. Teen Ghost Storytelling

Have you ever found a ghost baby in a graveyard? Have you heard about the boy who didn�t believe in ghosts? How about the man who was shipwrecked on a Florida beach�for 300 years! From haunted lighthouses to swamp ghosts, Doug Alderson keeps the art of storytelling alive by sharing spooky stories and mysteries that not only entertain, but also teach about Florida�s history and environment. Doug will spin a few yarns and also provide tips on how to tell stories in a suspenseful fashion.

The Loose Caboose Adventure, presented by Showtime for Kids

Oh no, the Caboose is Loose! All Aboard the Show Time Express! Join us as we hit the rails on a fun-filled train adventure in search for the Loose Caboose. We'll meet some colorful balloon friends and enjoy awesome laugh-out-loud magic. The train adventure leaves on time so be sure to arrive early. All Aboard!
