Every so often I get asked some questions by people who are interested in my paintings, both online and off and as time has gone by, I've noticed that similar questions seem to pop-up over and over. So I thought it might be a good idea to create a post and share these answers with all of you too.

Q. Are your paintings for sale and if so how much do you sell them for?

A. Yes, my paintings are most definitely for sale, but currently I can't supply prints or posters (I hope to soon though), so I only have the originals to sell.
You may have noticed that on my blog I never really talk about prices or I don't include any Paypal buttons, because I feel that this blog is much like a public gallery. But that said, I do sell my paintings.
As for the price, that varies because the difference in size, quality and complexity of each painting. But as a guide the price range for my paintings is between £150 ($237) - £1500 ($2,369).
Please email me if you are interested in any of my paintings and I can supply further photos and information.

Q. Do you paint commission paintings?

A. No, not usually, but I do use photos and images as a kind of guide which I base each painting on, rather that directly copy a picture.
But if you do want me to paint anything or have a picture that you would like me to use I can base a future painting on it. Alternatively, if you have any ideas or comments please feel free to let me know.

Q. Why do you use the name L. E. Gav Thorpe?

A. My actual name is just Gavin Thorpe, but the name L. E. Gav Thorpe was coined in 2008 when I once wrote my birthday (11th November) on a form and it was written in front of my name. It was then said that I should be called Legs Eleven Gavin and then by 2010 when I started painting legs, feet and shoes I kept this name but finally shortened it to L. E. Gav Thorpe.

Q. Do you paint other things besides legs, feet and shoes?

A. No, I only really paint paint the legs, feet and shoes, usually of women. But I do also create pictures with a tiny shrunken man, hands and sometimes other parts of the body and face, but never a whole person. Q. Do you have a fetish for women's legs and feet?

A. Haha, I always giggle when people ask me this, but I think in all honesty I probably do. I have always found the shape of women's legs attractive and feet to me are just as much of an attractive part of the body. With the smooth feminine lines continuing on, painted nails and the gentle wrinkles on the soles, it all becomes strangely fascinating. Plus the legs and feet are also a symbol of strength and as you may know I am quite well known for painting dominant women and submissive men.

The Nylon Worshippers, well... I think both men and women know that most men really do like a lady in black tights (pantyhose) or stockings, so given half a chance wouldn't most of them want to worship such nylon covered legs?

'Now, Suck My Toes' is the title of this picture and I know that it is perhaps the most kinkiest painting that I've painted. But I think this idea really works and makes quite a quirky and fun picture and it seems that most people that visit my blog seem to really prefer the saucier pictures that I do than the more simple. But anyway...

The idea for this picture came from some photographs that I recently saw by Elmer Batter (24 Nov 1919 – 25 June 1997). He was an American fetish photographer during the 1950's and 60's and mainly specialised in photography of legs, stockings, high heels and especially feet. He is also sometimes regarded as a pioneer when it came to pushing this kind of legs and feet fetish culture into the mainstream.

- Perhaps I might not be painting what I do, if it hadn't been for what he and many other did back then?

This painting is another funny one. Alot of people enjoy these painting of a tiny man and a giant woman and alot of them like to see the shrunken man in the woman's shoe or being crushed by her shoe or foot. I did a painting last year called Don't Squash Me! which was quite successful and is a little similar to this one, but I have painted quite a few like this so if you haven's seen them yet and like this one, please feel free to look around. I like the story behind all of these pictures - It makes you think; What happens next?

But the idea of this one (I think) is the little man is caught or has been placed in the shoe whilst the woman is teasing or playing with him and whilst this is happening he has one of his hands placed over his nose and mouth, hence the title How Cheesy!.

This painting is a little different than others that I've painted, because I usually like to paint more dominant women and submissive men. But I quite like the idea of this picture because of the possibilities. With the title 'Pink Ribbon' I thought that perhaps it could make the picture more abstract. In other words, it could just be a simple bondage picture or perhaps the woman is trying to make herself more appealing by wrapping herself in a pink ribbon like a gift or present?

Hi everyone and Happy New Year!

I've had a great time painting over the past year or so, so I've been working on this promotional video for all of the paintings that I painted during the year of 2011 and the last part of 2010. I hope that this year will be just as fun and I will try to continue to paint more fun, saucy, kinky pictures of the legs, feet and shoes.

'I'm Beggin' You' is my latest painting of a shrunken man. Everyone seems to be really enjoying my paintings of a shunken man with a giant women about to squash them. I know this idea sounds rather kinky, but I quite like this concept and rather like creating these pictures which have a variety of outcomes.

I like this painting. The painting The Life of the Shrunken Man has become very popular and many people have wanted me to create more paintings with small shrunken men in them. The idea for this painting came from that old childrens story The old woman that lived in a shoe and that got me thinking. Imagine with the hugh number of shoes that most girls have, what if a small shrunken man made one of them his home, in the same way as that old woman. Well, what if one day that girl decided to wear those shoes, not realizing that the shrunken man was in one of them? What would happen? I like it with this picture that you can make up a story about what happens next - Does he get squashed or does the girl realize just in time?

I did a painting a while back called 'Footsie' and I never thought that it would but I've noticed that it has become quite popular, so I decided to create a similar painting. But this time not from the side. I wanted to have it from a slightly different angle, perhaps from the woman's perspective.
I like the juxtaposition of the roughness of the man's trousers and the smoothness of the woman's legs. Let me know what you think.
