Have you ever tasted beluga caviar before? I understand from some articles that I’ve read that Beluga caviar is among the most expensive caviar types in the world and can cost up to ten thousand dollars per kilogram due to the Beluga sturgeon being a critically endangered species.

Apparently to really appreciate this very expensive delicacy, fine caviar should be served very cold. It is recommended to serve it in non-metallic bowl like glass, wood or even plastic and avoid the use of silver and metal bowls and utensils due to oxidation that may impart a metallic taste to the caviar.

If you’re wondering to how eat caviar, well true connoisseurs of caviar believe that the best way to eat it is simply, without any additions as even garnish might affect its taste. However if you find the taste too overpowering you can have it over dry or lightly buttered toast or unsalted, bland crackers. You can also squeeze a drop of fresh lemon juice on top, if you want.

It is also suggested that you have caviar with ice-cold vodka. However, these days, people have also started having champagne and chilled white wine with it.

Also remember that you should not take more than 1, at the max 2, teaspoons of caviar in your plate at any given time, . It is considered rude or incorrect to take large portions of caviar at a single time, especially at a social gathering.

Yes..the title of this post is not a typo. This is really the name of the show.. lol. The search is on for The Food Network’s Worst Cooks In America. I can just imagine how hilarious this show would be. Can you imagine seeing what a disaster it would be in the kitchen as the show attempt to turns hopeless cooks into confident kitchen mavens? Well then, don’t forget to tune in as the show returns for its third season on Sunday, February 12th at 9pm ET/PT on the Food Network channel.

Sixteen “recruits,” each nominated by family and friends for their atrocious cooking skills, arrive at Base Camp and attempt to impress Anne Burrell ( two-time undefeated series champion) and superstar chef Bobby Flay with their own “signature” dish. In the season premiere, the contestants are engaged in a high-stakes breakfast battle – with Anne’s team attempting Orange Pumpkin Pancakes with Vanilla Whipped Cream and Cinnamon Maple Syrup and Bobby’s recruits assigned Bobby’s Blue Corn Pancakes with Whipped Orange Honey Butter and Cinnamon Maple Syrup.

A $25,000 grand prize will be awarded to the winning contestant who achieves the most progress and best performance, in addition to bragging rights and victory for their culinary mentor.

Sometimes while having dinner in front of the tv, we may accidentally spill some food item on our leather sofa. Well the simplest way to remove those stains would of course to use leather cleaning agent but I read somewhere that you can also remove water stains on leather by rubbing with a cloth dipped in a vinegar and water solution. I personally have not tried it before because I don’t have any leather furniture in my house but let me know if it works for you ok..

On my trip back this time, my bestie asked me if I can do her a favor by bringing back some Macarons for her. She got to know this nice chap from KL who is an expert in Macarons baking and wanted to share them with her friends in Singapore. After I agreed she told me got a box for yours truly to try too since this is the first time I’m going to taste this very trendy and popular dessert these days.

Since this was going my first experience with Macarons I was quite wary on how I would make sure this beautiful dessert arrive intact to Singapore. At first I thought I should get one of those dvd mailers box perhaps ..lol… but I decided to just go with the flow and hope for the best.

The Macarons arrived safely to Singapore and mommy and I truly enjoyed the delightful dessert. It was something new for the both of us and I was really happy that I was able to share it with my mom.

A box of 10 Macarons cost RM35 so let me know if you are interested and I’ll hook you up with the baker (sorry not sure what to call him..lol)

I wonder, with the move to a bigger premise, if they have gotten new equipment too like the new weber grills at GrillsDirect.com for instance.
