All LPC Bookstore returns MUST be returned to the bookstore by mail. You should have received an email regarding Bookstore Returns from Follet. Contact the bookstore if you have questions.

Please do not return bookstore materials through the Library bookdrop. The library is not affiliated with the bookstore and cannot mail the materials back for you.

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes (surveying other library sites, learning how to use API's, etc.) to create a more user-friendly website design to better (we hope) serve our campus and we'd love your feedback before the site goes live on December 20, 2024.

LPC Library returns, fines, fees

Library Returns

Library materials should be returned by their due date or at the end of the semester, at the very latest. Access your library account to see due dates for checked out items.

Laptops, wifi hotspots, and other technology items should be returned in-person to the library.

Do not return technology items to the bookdrops.

Books, DVDs, CDs can be returned in one of the two bookdrops on campus:

Bookstore Returns

Please return bookstore purchased or rented items to the campus bookstore:

Contact the LPC Bookstore to inquire about items purchased/rented from the LPC Bookstore.

LPC Library is Now Fine Free

The LPC Library has adopted a Fine-Free Policy for overdue materials. The library will stop charging fines for overdue books and materials that are returned late as well as clear any outstanding overdue balances.

The library encourages students to return items in a responsible and timely fashion so others may use those shared resources. Items not returned within their due date will be flagged and reminder notices will be sent via email. Items not returned at the end of the semester will be considered lost and a replacement fee will be charged.

While the library eliminated overdue fines, students are still responsible for fees associated with the replacement of lost or damaged books and other materials they check out.

To request (or renew) library books, DVDs, or other physical materials, log into your library account through the OneSearch catalog:

"My Library Account"

Use the same login credentials as you use for Class-Web (W# and six-digit Class-Web password).

Your library account will allow you to do the following:

request LPC materials to be placed on hold for you at the LPC Library
check your library account
see all the items you have checked out and their due dates
renew items online

Free Printing for LPC Students*!

FAQs

How do I get free printing in the library? [As of 11/6/23.]

You no longer need to checkout a print card from the Library Checkout Desk.
LPC students can directly print up to 22 pages in black & white and 6 pages in color.
Caution: Your print job will delete if you go over (it will not print the job at all).

For example: If you select to print 25 pages, the print job will delete from the system without actually printing any pages.

The workaround: send print jobs in batches of 22 pages max (black & white) or 6 pages max (color).

Please ask library staff if you have any questions.

Why is there free printing now?

We received funding from a CA Basic Needs Grant to support LPC students.

Want to ensure free printing is available when you need it the most?

Follow these guidelines so that everyone can benefit for a longer period of time (and save the environment, too!):

Print only what you need for your schoolwork and academic pursuits.
Consider alternatives to printing long documents/chapters.
Break up printing long documents/chapters over several sessions.
Print in color only when it is essential (for example, the final draft of an art assignment, to understand color-coded charts/graphs, etc.)
Remember “Sharing is Caring!” Your fellow LPC students will thank you!

How long will free printing be available?

Free printing in the library is subject to Basic Needs Funds availability.

NoodleTools: Returning users - revalidate account.

A reminder for all returning LPC NoodleTools users (students AND faculty):

At the beginning of each school year, NoodleTools account holders need to revalidate their accounts through the LPC Library NoodleTools subscription.

This can only be done by accessing NoodleTools via the links provided through the LPC Library website (also included in this message). If accessing while on-campus, the process is seamless.

Off-campus, users will first be prompted to login to the proxy with their W-id and password before being directed to their account in NoodleTools.

DO NOT attempt to access NoodleTools by simply using Google or other search engines; you will experience difficulty in accessing your LPC NoodleTools account.
