Randomly something about me

I’m a big foodie and love to cook always new recipes and cuisines…except cooking I love dancing and all creative work like packaging, saree making, mehndi, rangoli etc.
I love to make new friends always, its help me in increasing social relationships.
I love shopping and watching movie….
In my family, we are 3 members; me and my lovely parents....Happily live together.
I’m also big fan of harry potter series.
These days, I have great passion to collect kitchen equipment’s and different patterns of crockery.
Now at the end but not least, I’m totally open minded, friendly and extrovert gal…….

The rock garden or Rock Garden of Chandigarh is a Sculpture garden in Chandigarh, India, also known as Nek Chand's Rock Garden after its founder Nek Chand, a government official who started the garden secretly in his spare time in 1957.

It consists of man-made interlinked waterfalls and many other sculptures that have been made of scrap & other kinds of wastes (bottles, glasses, bangles, tiles, ceramic pots, sinks, electrical waste, etc.) which are placed in walled paths.

Address: Sector-1, Chandigarh (near Sukhana Lake)

Timing 9:00- 18:00

Today is the day of Rakhi Festival (2 Aug 2012), so here I’m wish to all my friends and viewers….

HAPPY RAKSHA BANDHAN

Holi is colourful,

Diwali is lightful & brightful,

But Rakhi has made our relationship powerful….

Meaning of Raksha Bandhan
Relationships are the essence of any festivity and it holds true for any Indian festival. Each occasion brings the family together which calls for a celebration. Raksha Bandhan is a celebration of one such relation - that of a brother and a sister. This relationship is nowhere as celebrated as in India. Raksha Bandhan is a festival which celebrates the bond of affection between brothers and sisters. It is a day when siblings pray for each other’s' wellbeing and wish for each other’s' happiness and goodwill.
The name 'Raksha Bandhan' suggests 'a bond of protection'. On this auspicious day, brothers make a promise to their sisters to protect them from all harms and troubles and the sisters pray to God to protect their brother from all evil. The festival falls on the Shravan Purnima which comes generally in the month of August. Sisters tie the silk thread called Rakhi on their brother's wrist and pray for their well-being and brothers promise to take care of their sisters.

Rakhi Thali Decoration

Traditionally the Rakhi thali is the same as the thali for the pooja of the deities. The Rakhi Thali contains a diya, roli or tika, rice, sandalwood, incense sticks. In the Raksha bandhan thali, the rakhis are kept along with the moli.

Soan (Shagun) Maandana/ Wall religious sticker
Soan Maandana denotes making auspicious symbols. Making auspicious symbols outside the door on the day of Raksha Bandhan brings well-being. The day of Rakhi, we smear chuna on the both side and make Soan (shagun) with red clay (geru). These designs could be either a swastik, Ram Ram, Radhe Krishna or any religious sign. On the day of Purnima, sprinkle this with water, roli and chawal and we stick a piece of moli thread with little laddu or food which we prepared on the same day. These days we made Soan handmade as a sticker.

Here are some sample of soan which we prepared on the very special day of Raksha Bandhan.. for the Purnima Pooja.

Here are some handmade soan or you call religious wall/door stickers which are pasted on both sides of door/ wall of house gate… for good blessing… and also , it helps to have the evil eye away from home.

like this, we paste this soan/ sticker side of the door of entrance of the home, then on the day of Rakhi or Poornima we first do tilak with roli, akshat (rice), bhog of food, mouli and chidka with few drops of water on it. that is Rakhi pooja in our side.

For the decoration... we need this

Waste wedding cards or handmade sheet

Glue or favicon for pasting

Sparkle tube

Stone or I prefer stone bindi

Religious pictures or small Lord Ganesha or Swastik signs

Mouli

Color tapes (pink, silver, green and golden)

Double tape for back side pasting

Sketch pen

Many more decoration item... Whatever u had

Procedure

First u have to cut the wedding card or handmade sheet according to size, I prefer small square size for sticker. Use two different color as a contrast.

One is small or another is little big than first one.

Then paste one sheet on another sheet. Now decorate with stone and sparkle tube.

Or write the text (ram ram or radhe radhe or ram sita) whatever in believe.

For another sample, u can cut the sheets into again square shape

Decorate with stone and sparkle tube. Paste religious pictures or plastic sticker of Lord Ganesh’s.

Some decorate with mouli and color tape in form of flag…

Rangoli is creativity with lots of colors through which we express our joy and happiness at the time of celebration. In every Indian home at the time of celebration like marriage, festivals, or more, they make rangoli in the front of main gate or in AAGAN. Its call color creation also

Rangoli is a traditional decorative folk art from India. These are decorative designs made on floors of living rooms and courtyards during Hindu festivals and are meant as sacred welcoming areas for the Hindu deities. The ancient symbols have been passed on through the ages, from each generation to the next, thus keeping both the art form and the tradition alive. The patterns are typically created with materials, including colored rice, dry flour, (colored) sand or even flower petals.

The purpose of Rangoli is decoration, and it is thought to bring good luck. Design-depictions may also vary as they reflect traditions, folklore and practices that are unique to each area. It is traditionally done by women, but over the years modern additions have been adapted. Generally, this practice is showcased during occasions such as festivals, auspicious observances, celebrations of marriages and other similar milestones and gatherings.

Rangoli designs can be simple geometric shapes, deity impressions, flower and petal shapes (appropriate for the given celebrations), but they can also become very elaborate designs crafted by numerous people. The base material is usually dry or wet granulated rice or dry flour, to which Sindoor (vermilion),Haldi (turmeric) and other natural colors can be added. Chemical colors are a modern variation. Other materials include colored sand and even flowers and petals, as in the case of Flower Rangolis.

I am starting this blog to show my creativity, ideas & views regarding anything which I have done in my life or doing at present time in art and craft, like packaging style, designing pattern, Mehndi designing & many more things whatever I do or know, just want to share all these with my viewers and friends through my camera angle (Photography).

I love photography and cooking both & for that reason, I started my Cookery blog but now I want to share something more with my friends.
