While I was hitting the Village hard working on interviews, I managed to snap a bit of Jillian Michael's talk -- and the part I got was very potent. She was really picking up steam when someone stepped into my line of vision and stood there and that was the end of the video.

Why did I include this? Listen to Jillian's powerful message. Her candor and authenticity are so clear that you -- as a woman-- can accomplish anything. Stop sitting back and letting others take credit for things you are doing. You are strong, you are powerful, you are brave. You are a creator; a leader, an innovator; a role model, and a master of juggling many things which means you wear many hats, manage many tasks and make sure you accomplish a lot with little fanfare. it's time for you to stand up for yourself and take credit for all that you do, all that you have accomplished; all that you aspire or dream to be. Those dreams can come true. Have faith for you have done much. Don't let anyone hold you back. Don't stop and think that you can't do something. You can-- because everything you have already done has lead you to this one point to stand up and create, lead, and innovate.

This was Lean Cuisine's second year as a brand participant and sponsor for Night in the Village. While we didn't get to talk to Kristin , Lean Cuisine's marketing manager that we interviewed last year, we were able to get some interview time with Lean Cuisine's Therese who told us about what Lean Cuisine was doing this year:

Esquivel Shoes are fabulous creations--handmade in Los Angeles.

Celebrities who have his shoes often become addicted to the style and the comfort because Esquivel takes pride in creatinng the perfect "last" -- the basis for the sole of the shoe. But it's more than the craftsmanship, it's about the design because it's a reflection of George's fabulous imagination and ability to translate what he sees in his head into shoes that people want. Those people include No Doubt, The Killers, Kevin Costner, Drew Carrey and so many more celebrities and wealthy business people.
In 2007, sales were approximately 2,000 handmade shoes by Esquivel that sell at a starting price of about $500 in stores.

According to a 2008 article in the Orange County Register newspaper, Esquivel has an appointment only showroom in LA on Third Street. (check his website for address)
