Young Buck and Banruptcy

2011-10-23T19:44:00.000-07:00

So the word is that former G-Unit artist Young Buck is dealing with some financial problem that he has been unable to escape. It crazy because this rapper was on top when he was with G-Unit and now you rarely hear about him. I hope he gets back on his feet and is able to pay off some of his debt.

"The rapper, whose real name is David Darnell Brown, has been trying to find a way to reorganize his finances and stay afloat. But according to Chapter 11 trustee Jeanne Burton, 50 Cent isn’t making it easy for him.In June, Burton and Buck’s debt manager filed a plan that would prevent bankruptcy that included modifying a recording agreement with G-Unit Records and a distribution agreement with Universal Music Group. But 50 opposed the plan.
“At this time, because no agreement has been reached with G-Unit and Curtis Jackson regarding either assumption or rejection for the recording agreement and/or the publishing agreement, the first amended plan cannot be confirmed,” Burton said in court papers filed last week. “The trustee believes and therefore asserts that there is no reasonable likelihood of reorganization at this point.”(http://www.eurweb.com/2011/10/young-buck-can%e2%80%99t-avoid-bankruptcy/)

Season 5 of 'The Game'

2011-10-23T18:32:00.000-07:00

So the word is that the hit show 'The Game' will be returning this coming January of 2012. I believe that this season is going to be crazy and it is highly anticipated. This show has dedicated fans that like me can't wait to see what will happen on this season and after fighting for the show to come back.

This season looks like it is going to be crazy with multiple guest stars and lots of drama, this teaser is killing me. I am too ready for 2012. Get ready for "The Game"!

"First of all, when season 4 ended, everything was a mess with Tasha (played by Wendy Raquel Robinson) was cut from Derwin’s camp and Melanie (Tia Mowry) and Derwin (Pooch Hall) were struggling with making a baby after she revealed she had an abortion in the past. Malik (Hosea Chanchez) was trying to rebuild his reputation as he started to distance himself from a past love interest, who happened to be married to the owner of the San Diego Sabers. And of course, you’ve got Jason and Kelly (Coby Bell and Brittany Daniel) who are still trying to be normal after going through a public and quite terrible divorce."(http://www.eurweb.com/2011/10/sneak-peek-video-check-out-the-game-season-5-trailer/)

Tiller Girls

2011-10-23T12:03:00.000-07:00

The Tiller Girls were among the most popular dance troupes of the 1900s, first formed by John Tiller in Manchester, England, in 1890. Whilst on visits to the theatre, Tiller had noticed the overall effect of a chorus of dancers was often spoiled by lack of discipline. Tiller found that by linking arms the dancers could dance as one; he is credited with inventing precision dance. Possibly most famous for their high-kicking routines, the Tiller Girls were highly trained and precise. (Wikipedia, via)

SHANGHAI FW - Gudrun Sjoden

2011-10-23T01:41:00.000-07:00

(Gudrun Sjoden Spring 2012)

I attended the Gudrun Sjoden's show last night, a Scandanavian designer who's spring collection has been inspired by Shanghai. I love her use of natural material for everything from the clothing itself to accessories and headpieces used for the show. In fact, I'm really loving the oversized beaded necklace seen on all models. However, the footwear was very disappointing. All the models were wearing what looks like Toms canvas flats (sorry but not my thing)...

Well, otherwise, I was just really excited to be on front row!!! Humm...maybe I shouldn't have spent the entire show taking pictures...maybe I should have worked up some celebrity attitude and let others take pictures of me...haha...I'll keep that in mind for tonight's show.

'Love That Girl' Back For Season 3

2011-10-22T11:57:00.000-07:00

So the word is that the TV show "Love That Girl" on TVONE will be returning this coming with with the third season. The show will star Tatyana Ali. This show is not bad and has a nice setup, also its pretty funny.

It is also great that this show has made it to its third season, support and check out "Love That Girl" On TVONE this coming Monday.

"Just as cable has become the hotspot for black sitcoms, the big broadcast channels (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX and The WB) have just stopped trying altogether. Ali, who plays Tyana Jones in “Love That Girl!” says she doesn’t know why the major networks have practiced black flight, but she believes she knows why cable has picked up the slack.
“It’s because people want to see them. People want to laugh, and they want to have that feeling that, people had with “Fresh Prince,” she says of her first sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. “I still get it, even though it’s been so many years ago. People really felt like we were a part of their lives and a part of their families, like they were growing up with us. People want to feel good and laugh.”

As for “Love That Girl!” which featured another black sitcom veteran, Jaleel White, in Monday’s season premiere, Ali says it’s “wonderful” that TV One has taken a chance on the sitcom genre.“I started working with them doing ‘TV One Access’ a few years ago and being their first show is just – it’s really amazing. But, yeah, I think they’re feeding an audience that’s underserved.”(http://www.eurweb.com/2011/10/tatyana-ali-on-cables-embrace-of-black-sitcoms/)

Common With New Everything

2011-10-22T11:16:00.000-07:00

So the word is that rapper/poet/actor/author Common is coming out with multiple projects soon. Recently he has come out with a book that has done well and now he is coming out with a new album and a new movie and last a new show. This shows that Common is in high demand. His new album is called “The Dreamer, The Believer,." The new movie is “Happy Feet 2.” Lastly the show that will have the rapper is “Hell on Wheels.”

"The Western-themed show features the rapper as a formerly enslaved Black man attempting to adjust and live a trouble free life in America post-slavery.Despite the time period and relevant racial environment, the show is focused on a former confederate soldier seeking revenge against the Union soldiers who killed his wife.“The story is not just based on race, but it definitely has all of the issues we deal with today but its set in the Western [era],” Common told The Boom Box.
“It’s dealing with some of the injustices that go on, the greed, how money and the hunger of big business can really walk over other people and racial divides.”“Hell on Wheels” debuts on Nov. 6 at 10 p.m. Common’s latest projects come just after the release of his monumental memoir “One Day It’ll All Make Sense” last month. The book has received rave responses, by some of his closest friends, he said.(http://www.eurweb.com/2011/10/commons-new-album-new-movie-new-tv-show/)

Taraji P. Henson & Tyrese Another Moive

2011-10-22T10:59:00.000-07:00

So the word is that actress Taraji P. Henson will be staring alongsidede past co star singer/actor Tyrese. Both actors starred in John Singleton's "Baby Boy" and now Singleton is bring the two back together for another project. I think this movie will be great just off the director and the chemistry between Tyrese and Taraji.

“Official…Me and my girl Taraji are doing another classic together soon!! John Singleton will be directing us. And no it;s not BB2,” Gibson tweeted to all of his fans. And just in case you were wondering, yes the two have amazing chemistry on set, however, the singer assures that’s as far as it goes.

Nothing romantic is going on between the actors, at least that’s what Tyrese says. They’re just good friends. As far as the movie is concerned, few details have been released, but stay tuned for updates."(http://www.eurweb.com/2011/10/tyrese-and-taraji-p-henson-to-star-in-another-john-singleton-movie/)
