Finn has been complaining about not being able to reach the coat rack.
I thought he and Blaise needed a kiddo friendly hook.
I gave up one of my Anthro ones.
Looks good.
I painted the entryway Spa by Sherman Williams and hung a bunch of hooks.
The sweet chair I did now can be used by the boys.
All done.

I am so making some changes over here at Casa Crappy.
I am installing some decent blinds today.
I am praying for a miracle for the rest of the house.
I feel that itch in my butt though. I am hitting the vintage stores and thrifting way more this year. Last year I went through this stupid phase of thinking all of the good stuff had already been taken. That is such bull. Craiglist you vixen- here I come.

It is a wrinkly old page from some long lost home improvement magazine, but it has the most perfect kitchen island end cap. I want this. I wanted it so many years ago when we shared our first characterless apartment. I want it still. Can you see how cool it is even with the crinkles? Joe is so building this.

Over at Please Sir (a fave!) I found this system called The Net by Richard Shed.

The concept is cool, but I swear to God I have a vintage baby metal box spring that I might just try and use like this for free.
I already used part of the old bed as a trellis for growing tomatoes this spring.

Guy Fawkes Party!

It is our idea to be the family that has the annual Guy Fawkes Party!

We used to do it at our old house and now two November the 5th's have almost passed in the new home and we have not gotten it together. I have major plans for next year though!

At our old pad we had a bonfire and food and a ritual of burning effigies that friends and neighbors would make. It was awesome and hysterical!
Do you know anyone who has a Bonfire Night Party in the states? Tell me about it? In UK?
My husband is British and loves this tradition!
