The numbers of people employed by the public sector on a non-permanent basis has dropped by at least 8,000 in the last two years, according to figures released to me in Parliamentary Questions recent days.

Mr. Batt O'Keeffe TD, Minister for Education and Science, has refused to prioritise a new school for St. Oliver Plunkett's National School, Malahide. This was confirmed by the Minster following our representations to him following a recent burst pipe in the attic of the school, which flooded one of the classrooms, resulting in the children normally occupying this classroom being asked to remain at home for a day.
