How are you my blog friends? I miss blogging so much. It's been I think more than 3 months since my last post. Asides from being kinda lazy, I was also busy when hubby arrived from work last May. Another reason also was that her grandmother is in the hospital. So, FAMILY is the most important thing in the world.

Yesterday afternoon, when I brought my daughter to to the school many Preschool students are wearing a red Spooky Spectacles that you can get free from every Happy Meal from McDonalds. So, after doing some errands before I fetch my daughter at the school, I went to McDonalds to get a Happy Meal for her and for her baby sister. They were so happy with the Spooky Spectacles, super cute. hubby flew to Manila just this Saturday then he went to the office for final briefing and get some things needed. His flight details was Manila-Dubai-New York. Just this Sunday,

Hubby left for Dubai last Saturday at 5:35pm and arrived their at 4:15am. Then I received another text from him that he arrived in New York Airport and then drove by land for 1 hour to New Jersey where he will be joining with the rest of the crew. Hubby told me that the weather was very cold, when he texted me, it was 5 degrees Celsius. As of now it is already -1 degrees Celcius. Super cold, BBBRRR....

Hello do all, how are you guys doing? Well, it's been 4 months since my last post. I do not know but that months that past, I was kinda lazy making blogs because maybe only few are visiting my blog or nobody visits. Will just coup up with my blog. Will narrate things that happened for the past few days.

Last Thursday,we harvested our air potato. We cooked it that tonight together with pork, carrots and tomato sauce. This is a different potato, it is color green unlike the ordinary potato that is color yellow. We will post the finish dish tonight for our dinner. According to Wikipedia that Air potato can grow extremely quickly, roughly 8 inches per day, and eventually reach over 60 feet long. It typically climbs to the tops of trees and has a tendency to take over native plants.

Yesterday, we went to S&R to buy some stuffs here at home. After that, we ordered pizza S&R Pizza for take out for our late lunch. It was a combo flavored pizza and it was very yummy. The toppings were olives, green pepper, pepperoni and some meat. We did not finish all the pizza, we saved it for that night's dinner.

This afternoon, me and my 2 mother friends went to the bank to do some errands. After that, we were starving. So, we went to this Restaurant in a known hotel. They serve Buffet Merienda which will start at 2:30pm. The served halo-halo, bake macaroni, green veggie salads, fruits, breads and brownies with matching 2 kinds of juices. We just stayed there eating, chit-chatting and browsed the internet through their wifi connection. After that, went directly to the school to fetch our kids.

It's bee almost 2 months since my last blog. Well, I will update you with some of the activities that I have.

Thank God that our internet connection is back. Our old PLDT connection was no more, I do not know how. As what I have heard and read lately, broken sea cables cause web speed woes in our country. What I know was that the connection is slow but what happened to ours was that there was really no internet connection at all. That is why we applied for a new subscription under Globe Tattoo @ Home for P999 (3mbps).

Last march 28 was my daughters Merit Awarding/Recognition. She received an Very Cooperative merit from her class.

2 days after the recognition, we ate lunch at Blackbeard's Seafood Island at SM City.

2 days ago, we had a chance Skyping with hubby while he was in Houston Texas. The kids really enjoyed talking to him. Cannot wait to see him next month.

Yesterday, we went to church for some activity. Children are the Church of today....not only recipients in ministry but also participants. Thanks to those behind OCC and Samaritan's Purse for being a channel of His blessings. These goods from US should be distributed last Christmas but it was delayed, so they distributed them yesterday.

This smile is for our friendship who's now based on Denver. We really miss you so much!

It's been a while since my last entry after my father died. Thanks to all who condoled thru Facebook.

Around 4pm today, we arrived home from the hospital. Baby Raine was admitted last Wednesday. She vomited twice then had pneumonia and thank God wala siyang dengue. Praying that she will recover fast here at home.

Sad to say but that is life. My father died last January 22, 2014. We really thought his sickness was okay and thought that he could be discharge from the hospital but it made him worst. Aspiration Pneumonia was the main problem. As what I have said on my previous entry, it only started with dizziness then high blood pressure and mild stroke. The wake lasted only for 3 days, the burial was yesterday (January 25) at 9am. Thank you to friends and relatives who condole with us and God bless.

Christmas 2013 & New Year 2014

Happy New Year To All! Before I get to the happy story, will tell you the kinda sad party story. To those who did not know, my dad was confined at the hospital last December 6. At first, it only started with a dizziness. Then my mom said let's go to the hospital for check-up. When they arrived at the hospital, my dad had high blood pressure. The blood pressure did not go down so he was confined so that there will be series of tests. The next day, my mom called and said that he had mild stroke and he has problem swallowing. He had also pneumonia, so he needs to be transferred at the ICU. He was restrained because he wants to go down and go home, he also wants to pull the tubes that are attached to him like the NGT, dextrose and catheter. We stayed at the ICU for 2 weeks, then when the doctor said we can go home and continue treating him and feed him using the NGT. But my dad is hard-headed, he won't listen to us. He removed the NGT tube twice and we were giving him food through spoon-feed slowly because he might choke. But he was sick more, that's why he went back to the ICU December 26 because he already lacked oxygen. As of today, his lungs are congested and the phlegm have bacteria.

Well, that's life. But for me, the Christmas and New Year celebration will not stop especially for the kids. Before Christmas Eve, my brother, sister-in-law and their daughter celebrated with us after dinner. They brought mango charlotte cake, chicken teryaki and sparkling wine. December 25 was my daughter's birthday, RAINE. Every Christmas day, we celebrate at my cousin's place. All of us bring food (potluck lunch) and I brought birthday cake so that she can blow. My mother didn't come with us because she took care of my dad. After the potluck party we went to my in-law's place for sleepover.

For new year, I baked Red Velvet Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting. It was my 1st attempt, for me it was kinda sweet but they said it was okay. Well, we all know that fireworks are banned in Davao. So, we only blew our torotots to welcome the year 2014. January 1 was the birthday of my nephew, we celebrated it at my aunt's place. As usual, it was a potluck dinner with relatives.

Lastly, just this Saturday we also had a post-Christmas Party with my mommy friends at school where our kids are classmates. Our friendship started last year when Mika started school. Just this December 21, it was my daughter's Christmas party at their school. They started at 9am and finished pass 11pm. They had a great time especially with their classmates and very excited to receive their gifts from the manito/manita. For their food, they had packed snacks (Chicken & Pizza) from Greenwhich with C2 Ice Tea. They had games and many more. After the kids party, we went to the mall to have lunch at BonChon.

Last Friday morning, my father had a sever dizziness. So, my mother brought him to the hospital (where my brother works) for check-up. His blood pressure went up that cause him mild stroke. He undergone CT Scan. The doctor said there was a problem in his throat that he cannot swallow even his saliva, that's why merong nilagay na tube sa nose niya para dun ilagay ang milk (Ensure) because he had a hard time swallowing solids. Nilagyan din siya ng oxygen and dextrose. There were abnormalities seen in his heart and also his brain. Yesterday, he was transferred at the ICU to be monitor closely. I do not know but I think all of these happened because of his drinking liquor and cigarettes. Well, we warned him before but he's very hard-headed.

Please, I need all your PRAYERS. Thank you and God bless to all!

When Mika enrolled last year at school (my alma mater), I met new mommy friends (mommies of Mika's classmates). Since then, they have been my mommy kaberks upto now. Days to go and it is Christmas already. Time do fly so fast, I cannot believe it. Sad to say that hubby is not here to celebrate with us, he left for work last October and will be home again June 2014. To bring the spirit of Christmas in the house, I started decorating already and good thing I'm finish already.

A week ago, the mother of Mika's classmate invited us for dinner for her daughter's 5th birthday. And I was surprised because the venue was Vikings Luxury Buffet. I heard that it is the BIGGEST buffet restaurant in the Phillippines. My jaws opened wide when my friend told me about the buffet rate. (CLICK PHOTOS TO ENLARGE).

it's been 5 months...

It has been more that 5 months since my last blog. Since my husband arrived from work, I was very busy with my life as a wife and as a mother. There were very special occasions that was celebrated and for me it was very memorable. First thing, I was having problems with my laptop because it was needed to be reformat, my hard disk was corrupted.

When my husband arrived, we celebrated his birthday together with relatives. We had grilled fish, pork and fresh green salads.

A week after hubby's celebration, it was my daughter's opening in her school. Then the following week was Father's Day.

Then comes my nephew's 3rd birthday, Leedon Vincent. After that it was Mika's classmate's birthday, Lovy Chin. Next, at Mika's school they celebrated Nutrition Month.

That month end, a pretty baby girl was added to our family baby Savannah. Then my brother arrived for his vacation.

My cousin-inlaw arrived from the States because her mom died, there got the chance to bond with the family.

My hubby's grandmother and his uncle from Australia arrived, in time for baby Savanna's dedication. Another bonding moments with my inlaws.

Then it was Mika's Speechfest at school.

Then my siblings treated our mother a birthday together.

Then it was me from my hubby to go back to work, will not see him for 8 months. Sad to say that he's not here to celebrate Christmas, New Year, our anniversary, the kids and my birthday. But it's okay because I know that God is with him to protect and give him more strength to carry all the work that he will encounter. Good thing we can talk though internet, thanks to the technology now.

Flip Flops, Mother's Day, Election 2013

Last Sunday was Mother's Day. It was a joy that many greeted you in that special day, as a mother. Well, because it's Sunday we went to church for a Sunday service then went to SM to buy food for lunch and dinner. But when we arrived at SM, naputol ang isang sandal ko. And napa-OMG talaga ako ng sobra. I have no choice but to buy one, so immediately went to the department store and caught my eyes. A Hello Kitty flip flops by Banana Peel. It was super duper cute!!!!

That night, we gathered for dinner with some relatives together with my uncles from California to celebrate Mother's Day. It was fun especially with the kids.

Then yesterday, was election day for Senators (National), Mayor, Vice-Mayor, Governor, Vice-Governor, Congressman and Councilors (Local). It was a long process to vote because you need to follow the long line who are also voting. If you go early, you finish voting early. For me, my mom and my brother, we went around 9am and waited for 1 hour and 15 minutes. For my mom, she should be priority because she is a senior citizen already but she chose to fall in line with us (for experience). That afternoon, we had DURIAN!!!

Last April 8-12, I let my daughter Mika join the Mc Donald's Kiddie Crew 2013 at SM City Davao (Ecoland). It was a 5-days experience for Mika to have fun and meet new friends. The registration fee was P550 which includes t-shirt, cap, bag, id w/lace, workshop materials, graduation certificate and especially their snacks. Their activities includes Values-formation Lecture, On-floor Restaurant Training, Song and Dance Sessions and Art Workshop (Burger Making and Color Your Own Apron). To cap off the workshop, all restaurants will have their own graduations for the week’s batches, on the 5th day of the workshops. There will also be a Grand Graduation for all McDo Kiddie Crew program participants at the end of summer.

Yesterday afternoon after church, we went to the mall with my in-laws. It's been months since baby Raine haven't been to the mall and haven't seen my in-laws too. The reason also why we were there because of the ABS-CBN's 4th National Dog Summit. It was a Cosplay Themed Dog Fashion Show, super cute.

Last February 2, I attended our 6th Grand Alumni Homecoming at Davao Christian High School. The host of the said activity was batch 1988. As usual, only 5 of us attended in our batch. Sad to say, I did not win the major price (5 IPad Mini). But I got a DCHS shirt as a minor price. Well, wishing that next alumni homecoming marami na kami.

HAPPY 2013 to all!!! How's your long Christmas break? As for me, it was very AWESOME! It is great to start the year still having parties. As January 1, 2013 arrived, the Lim Clan gathered at my aunt's house and it's also the birthday of my niece EJ.

Then yesterday, we are supposed to go island hopping but the weather was not that good and my nephew has fever. So, we still did go to the beach in Paradise Island. It was fun swimming at the beach while raining but it was cccooolllddd..... =D

Just tonight, we had a despedida potluck dinner here ate home because my cousin and his family will go back tomorrow to Florida. We will surely miss them and hoping to see them soon!!! ^_^/

The other night was so amazing because I got to see my friends in college. It's just a simple gather, dinner, chatting and sight-seeing. We ate at Sito's Grill then went to Mana Davao. Mana Davao is one of the most anticipated, most flocked, and a must-see Christmas attraction in the city of Davao. Every year, they have different displays and they put lights on it. It's just along the highway where vehicles are passing by, that is why it causes a heavy traffic at night.

It's been days since my last entry, I've been very busy with things. First of all, last December 1 my uncle from California arrived for a business trip in Manila and in Davao. That night when he arrived, the relatives gathered for a dinner party. Well, he just stayed for a couple of days after some meetings then left back to Manila then Hawaii and back to California.

Last Nov. 25, baby Raine turned 11 months. She will turn 1 this Christmas Day =)

Yesterday, had bonding with 2 mommies at school while waiting for the kids from their class.

This afternoon, went to SM to pay bills. Dropped by at Krispy Kreme for take-out, got 1 dozen and these are the new flavors for the Holidays.
