I can't believe how long its been since I have updated my sweet, sweet blog. I know it's lonely and I promise to update regularly from here out. I have so many sessions from last year that need to be blogged! I will first start with some pics from my kids tonight. :)

Finley will be attending 1st grade in the fall. Landon has been healthy and is excited to attend Pre-K next year.

This was a session from last summer. I had alot of fun with Haley! It was a beautiful day to capture photos of a beautiful lady. She is off to college now starting her freshman year as a Presidential Scholar. Much success to you, Haley!

I am so excited to be updating my blog after a year hiatus! I am coming back with a new look on my blog and I am so excited about sessions I have scheduled for this fall! Where I have been? Busy, busy, busy taking care of my family and son, The Dragon Slayer, as he battles cancer. This picture was taken earlier this year and he has come a long way since then. I appreciate all my existing clients for their support and all my new ones to come this fall!

It has been a long time since I have been here! I have a few sessions to share so I will start off with my daughter.........she turned 5 the day after Christmas. It is just so hard to believe. She is a such a sweet little girl and is growing up more and more every day.

Mike Glasscock, other wise known as Dirty 30, has been a lifelong friend to Jimmy and race buddies for a long time. After all these years, I consider Mike to be a great friend of mine as well. While Jimmy has gotten out of racing over the years, Mike has continued to race and improve his race car. Jimmy and I have both enjoyed going down to the "garage" and help with the race car on Friday nights during the off season. Well, Jimmy helps. I sit in the corner and surf the net and have cocktails! While the car was being put together, I mentioned it would be fun to do a shoot with his brand new car and some "trophy girls". He was all for it and we had a great time! So far, he has had a great season with numerous top 5 finishes. Can't wait when he calls to tell us he has won the Feature!

Its always nice to photograph engagement couples! I rarely get the chance to since I do not do weddings, but since they will be getting hitched in Jamaica. We went to Lake of the Woods in Mahomet and it was a such a pretty place with a waterfall and a covered bridge. Oh and snakes just a foot away from where the couple from standing. Eeeek!

I just love the warm weather! It brings out short sleeve shirts, flip flops, sunscreen, bugs, nature, and my favorite- giggles from little ones playing outside. I can sit on my front porch and watch my kids for hours as they ride their bikes and trikes and just laugh and run without a care. We are busy watching a family of four little robins being hatched in a nest down by the road. It is so sweet to see the excitement on my kiddos faces as they peek into the nest on their tippy toes to see these little creatures that joined the world just hours before. Yes, spring/summer is my favorite time of the year. Another reason for loving summer- photography sessions! These two little guys were so sweet and I know their big sister looks out for them and they just adore her. What a great looking family! I hope to see yours this summer too! Here is a beautiful couple, Michelle and Tyler. Michelle has a been a close friend since kindergarten. I love my Shell and wish Tyler and her so much happiness! And I owe Tyler my life because during our shoot he caught my light as it was about to hit the ground when a gust of wind almost blew it over! Thank you, Tyler! Wow, has it really been a month since my last post? Things have been crazy at home and I have been busy trying to keep my family and myself healthy. Everyone but Jimmy has had the flu bug. I hope you are staying healthy and getting ready for Spring, I know I am! Stay tuned for an announcement about my family mini sessions I will be holding in June. This will be a great way to get your family photographed for a great deal and in less time. (This is great for Dads and little ones!)

Now for the feature presentation......Miss Ashley, high school senior 2011! We had a fun time going from location to location. We found a old vintage car in an alley and decided to use it as a prop! Family Session

This session took place at Lake Bloomington, where the scenery is gorgeous and options are unlimited. This family was so fun to photograph. I instructed mom to bring a suitcase full of clothes and we would go from there. It was fun to pick out outfits and piece them together. After we were done with the session and packing up, there was a gorgeous sunset so we had some fun with that as well.

Doesn't she look like she belongs in a fashion catalog for tween wear?

He was alittle shy at first, but quickly loosened up and gave his mom and dad some great shots to pick from!

Looking at these photos takes me back the warm fall weather we had. We did two locations with this family. The little man, Connor, was so natural in front of the camera and did really good for this session because after the photos were done he was going to spend the night at a friends house. What a great incentive to get a photo session done!

We had the most beautiful snow the other day. The snowflakes were so light and fluffy and the ice was crystal clear. I woke up and saw the landscape, grabbed my camera and took off outside. It's a good thing we live out in the country, otherwise somebody would have seen some major bedhead and some cute Christmas pajamas! Christmas is getting closer.............!

I was so excited to book a guy senior this year! Josh has so much to look forward too and will be so successful! He has a basketball scholarship waiting for him at whatever college he chooses(he's 6'8"!). He will be studying pre-med. And, he loves music, which you will see later! He was so relaxed and fun to photograph, such a natural. Mom and little sister came along and I got a kick out of lil sis trying to make him laugh by dancing behind my back!

Labor Day Weekend

Anytime we have a three day weekend, we pack up the kids (and most of our house) and take off to Vandalia where Jimmy's parents have nice quiet place on the lake. We enjoy fishing, cruising on the boat, swimming, eating and of course good company. Some home madewine too! The first few pictures are of Connor and his grandma, Fran. Fran, along with Dean, have been best friends with Jimmy's parents ever since Jimmy was little so they are like family to us. It is always so relaxing to go to the lake, a nice little get away with babysitters! Who can complain about that?

I was granted the pleasure of photographing Morgan for her high school senior pictures. She is just gorgeous and the camers LOVES her! I may be a bit biased, after all, she is my cousin! We had a lot of fun going to the different locations, especially the ones downtown. We were stopping traffic and cars were pulling over to watch us!

These pictures caused a stir on the streets! I love how she rocked her red converse shoes!

The Balloon.......

Papa Howard took Finley to Bloomington for an errand and came back with this beloved balloon. She had so much fun running around with it and watching it sail in the air. Sadly, shortly after these photos were taken the balloon went to balloon heaven in the sky. It was so tired from all the love Fin had given it and detached itself from the string and soared away in the sky.

I thought about labeling this an outtake, but it really isn't. This is my daughter, always clowning around. Yes, I will claim her!
