Recently I was asked to help the residents create Murals on canvas at Westminster Village Nursing Home by my friend Brittany. Spooky Hide & Seek at LCTS

SPOOKY HIDE & SEEK!!

Hidden at LCTS are 20 pieces of a image. Size is 500 pixels in height, 400 pixels wide. You need to find each of those pieces, take them into PSP and put the image together.

Once you are finished you need to email your finished image and a list of each place you found the pieces at to contest@lctubestore.com with LCTS Spook in the subject line. Be sure to include the list of hiding spots or you will be disqualified! This contest will end Saturday Morning! Emails received after 12 noon on Saturday will not be entered. So get those entries in asap.

This is a Web Wide Contest so please pass along to your groups/friends if you would like, however please remember to keep all info intact.

There will be a random draw from all the entries.

The more people we have to participate the more prizes will be offered!

1st place will receive: 1 8x10 print of the hidden image and a $5 GC to LCTS

2nd place will receive: 1 5x7 print of the hidden image and a $2 GC to LCTS

Misc Ramblings and Birthdays

Wow a LOT going on this week. Really like tons and tons. The In-laws got some huge bags of fresh peaches from their neighbor who has some peach trees. They were soooo ripe they were melting in your mouth. Grandma and I decided to make 2 huge cobblers, one for us and one for the in-laws. They were sooo tasty. The kids helped of course and took turns with the rolling pin. We really do love baking here at the house. Joe and the kids a couple night later made some delicious brownies as well.
We all played hooky on Wednesday! Joe took the day off from work and I took the day off from my online work and painting. We took the kids out for a day of fun! It was special because Mikey turned 5! OMG he's getting so big. Our first stop was to the Indianapolis Zo o. We went when it opened of course because that's when the animals are out and about.
It was amazing there were so many animals up close. This trip was the best one we've ever taken I think. Here are some random close up pictures. The Emu's of course were poking around.

The Lioness was peering at us like we were hiding a steak LOL. The elephant was taking a nice bath. We even saw the babboons and their new babys. The cute little things were hanging on the bellys as they walked. They were too cute.
We stopped in the routunda to check on my painting on display. I think it looked jsut wonderful! Hehe gotta love all the stars I'm sporting :D
Our next stop was at the $1 movies to see Kung Fu Panda! The kids loved it! It was joeys first movie trip but mikey is a pro at it. Joey mainly sat and stuffed popcorn in his mouth lol. I think they had a blast thou. Now I'm just getting ready for the weekend. Sat I have a few errands to run with my gal pal Brandy. She is totally helping me out a million planning Mikeys party and cake. Then I have my monthly artist meeting at The Bean Cup which should be great as always. Then to the pet store for Mikeys suprise present! Firebelly Toads and Newts!!!! Then home to wrap presents, bake the cake, and decorate a bit. Sunday is the BIG PIRATE BIRTHDAY BASH. well not so big just a few of his friends but he can't wait and I think its going to be great. Anyways thats whats up with me and the family. Later!!

Indianapolis Zoo Auction & Exhibit

I got to spend an enjoyable Saturday at the Indianapolis Zoo participating in a Plein Air Painting Day. I took Mikey with me as my assistant lol He LOVES the zoo. Only 14 artists were selected to participate in this fundraiser plus an elephant. The artwork was completed on location at the zoo and then donated for a silent auction. Proceeds from the auction go to the Zoo's Educational Programs. Great opportunity for my FIRST attempt at Plein Air painting (which is outdoor painting). Such a challenge to paint animals that DO NOT stand still!! The emu's even tried to pull my canvas over into their habitat. I was able to meet lots of kids and answer lots of questions - hope it inspired some new artists. I even got to paint a piece with a ton of kids in the butterfly gardens. Here is the piece that was chosen for the auction out of a couple I did and a picture at the auction a couple weeks later.(sorry its a bit dark the room was lite by the pieces and with candles on tables. The pieces are now on exhibit in the Routunda at the Zoo and then will go to their owners at the end of the month.

Well just another Tuesday. Worked on the networking/shopping/selling/video site FuzzB. Adding some new content this week and designing some fun pages. Worked a bit more on Caron's site tweaking some css. Decided to listen to some tunes so I added a player on my blog hehe its so cute I know. Gonna add some more music later no time now. Just writing while I'm waiting on hubby to get here so we can go grab a few things from wally world. Well he'll be here any min so go look at LCTS! Angelique has some amazing brushes up for sale and a commerical grab bag. AND Beth has some awesome new scripts up! Later guys!!

YAY its the weekend

So pleanty going on this weekend. Today hubby got tickets from a friend to go to a Reds baseball game so I'm going to hang out here at the house and maybe work on a couple new website templates and blog templates. Tomorrow I will be attending GenConIndy some more info about it on my website http://lacyclagg.com. Going to take little mikey with me :) He's super excited. Also worked on my first digital scrapbook layout! It's of Mikey and his new mohawk. I'm very proud of myself lol. Makes me want to do a whole album like this really. I just need like a couple cordinating kit that include bugs & dirty stuff LOL. ANy ideas let me know.

Couple updated for my website. I put up a few more websites I have built HERE. Right now I am working on a secret site and Art by Caron Vinson site. Check out Caron's work she is such a great artist and gal pal. This site is a trade shes painting me a picture to have matted a framed in return for the site redesign. I can't wait to see my picture! Also added a few buttons and button magnets. These are huge sellers at conventions so I figured I'd pop them up on there too. BUTTONS & MAGNETS

Also some new designers adding their sections at LCTS Plus a ton of new scripts by Beth! They are just fabulous and the new jackolantern is PERFECT for halloween/fall kits which we all know is coming up! OKay well Hubby and kids are waking up so I'll pop on later today need to make them some breakfast. Later!

My First Post :)

So Jenny and Beth have been on my butt to join and make a purty little blog. So here I am! A little about me.. I'm an artist, mommy, wife, gardener, baker, and much more. I am a great and loyal friend to those I know. I was raised in the Midwest, Indiana. Now I'm raising my family here. I have always been very artistic and the last few years I feel like I've really exploded with ideas. I have an agent now, Sherri Baldy, and together we have gotten a lot of major contracts signed for me. I am also her webtech/designer on all of her commercial and personal sites. I plan in the future to open my own gallery area downtown. Some place where people and kids can not only come and view art but work on art. And there will be lots and lots of coffee cause I ADORE coffee lol. Okay well I'm rambling a bit so I better sign off here and shower. Gotta go watch X-Files tonight woot!
