What is the best brand of golf clubs?

I’m looking for a new set of golf clubs, i’m currently on the golf team and will be using them 6-7 times a week. What brand (Nike, Taylormade, Callaway, etc..) is the best brand? I currently am using Lady Hagen golf clubs and the shaft is not sturdy enough if that helps…

LOL at the "shaft isn’t sturdy enough" comment… that has nothing to do with any brand issue.

Let me put it this way: there is NO brand that is "best". They’re ALL made in the same foundries in China and Taiwan, with the same machines, by the same people, to the same standards… just like anything else that’s mass-produced. Do you really think you’d get something special by buying Brand X?

It’s kind of sad, really, that people only get to see the brands that have the huge advertising budgets. There are TONS more: Tom Wishon Golf Technologies, Acer (my personal favorite), Dynacraft, Tricept, Maltby, KE4, Snake Eyes, Wetszy, Infiniti, Alpha, Bang, Geek, Swing Science, Diamond Tour Designs, MDC, KZG, Forgan… there’s more, but I think you get the point.

Do yourself a favor and get fitted. The important things, like loft (woods), face angle (woods), lie angle (irons/wedges/putter), grip size, shaft flex, swing weight (how heavy the head feels) and total weight. Tell the fitter your budget and be as honest about your game as you can possibly be- THEN you’ll have your "best" golf clubs.

Where can I find a quality set of ladies left handed golf clubs?

never liked the game as a kid but now I LOVE it. only I can’t find any decent girls left handed clubs. Where should I look? been using my younger bros old ones but they are for a boy he is a lefty too, want some ladies. Any help is appreciated !

Lucky for you, golf clubs don’t care what gender you are. Most clubs that are "ladies" clubs are the same thing as the "men’s" clubs, just with some pretty-pretty paint scheme on the back and/or sole. What matters is the fit: the length, grip size, shaft flex*, lie angles (irons/wedges/putter), swing weight (how heavy the head feels), total weight (overall weight of the club), loft/face angle (woods) all have to be fit to YOUR individual needs. The rest is just excess baggage.

*shaft flex choices for ladies have been dicey for years. For the longest time, the only thing available was "L" flex. Maltby has added an "LL" (more flexible than "L") flex to the GolfWork’s line of proprietary shafts.

Playing with a ladies golf ball?

so lately i have been playing with a Precept Ladies golf ball. Its seems to go further and straighter that the Pro VI ‘s and other top line golf balls. I am a 11 handicapp and have about a 85 mph swing. what do you think about this? Call me what you want but my score has been in the low 80′s consistently. Putting could be just a tad better. but overall I think its the golf ball.
I play with stiff shafts and my drives are about 220 yards max and I have a descent
short game.

If you swing that slow you need a ladies ball.

it would have been helpful if you mentioned if this is a charity event or a mini tour event, something about the tournament

Old golf club question!!?

For those of you old timers out there, I have a question concerning an old golf club! Around 1978, the golf brand Powerbilt came out with a series of womens golf clubs, also known as the "countess" series. I have a Powerbilt Countess 3 wood, and after doing some research and searches on ebay, I found that there are two different makes of the club(s). On the club i have, on the top of the club face it says Powerbilt, and countess on the bottom. On the other model it says Countess on top of the club face, and Powerbilt on the bottom. So they’re pretty much opposites. What is the difference in these 2 models? I will post 2 links below so you can have a better understanding of what im talking about. Any information or links to other web sites will be greatly appreciated!

Well personally, i don’t care how new you are to golf, you should have every club in the bag, so that crosses out the Cobras. From then on the two Adams sets are both good. It’s whether or not you want to pay an extra $300 dollars for more quality clubs (They wouldn’t cost more if they wasn’t better). I would go with the IDEA A70s but if your more pressed for cash you can get the Tight Lines Plus and invest in a better set a few years down the road when your game improves. Hope my advice helps.

i am 21 and i golf. i know nothing about this. i just search on the internet and e-shops some like golf smith and golfsuperworld.com…need more suggestion for more choices.

obviously bigblumpkin doesnt golf because he has no class, however, if you are new then go to Dick’s sporting goods and get a ladies set. If you are not then i suggest taylormade burner superfast 2.0 or r11 driver, woods, and hybrids with ladies shafts on them. For irons i suggest either taylormade burner 1.0 with uniflex shaft or mizuno mx-100 with uniflex shafts. And for putter i love the taylormade ghost putters. (of course these all are if you have good bucks to spend)
