<p><a href="http://chelseab.typepad.com/.a/6a01053581f851970b0120a6a0e2ed970c-popup" onclick="window.open(this.href,'_blank','scrollbars=no,resizable=yes,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0'); return false" style="display: inline;"><img alt="Mannequin" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a01053581f851970b0120a6a0e2ed970c " src="http://chelseab.typepad.com/.a/6a01053581f851970b0120a6a0e2ed970c-500wi" style="width: 340px;" title="Mannequin" /></a> </p>

<p>It was just the right length for it -- not too long that the front ends got in the way of what I was doing, and not so short as to look ridiculous.</p>

<p><a href="http://chelseab.typepad.com/.a/6a01053581f851970b0120a64b5afb970b-popup" onclick="window.open( this.href, '_blank', 'width=640,height=480,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0' ); return false" style="display: inline;"><img alt="Neckline" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a01053581f851970b0120a64b5afb970b " src="http://chelseab.typepad.com/.a/6a01053581f851970b0120a64b5afb970b-500wi" style="width: 500px;" /></a> </p>

<p>And yesterday ending up being just the right day for shawl wearing.  Warm enough that we didn't need the heat on, yet with a crispness that made the warmth of wool at my shoulders just the right thing.  I was actually quite surprised at how <em>warming</em> shawls actually are.<br /> </p>

I guess I'm not really a kid anymore...) didn't get her gift until February.  That is a long time to wait when you are 10 years old.  With a bit of luck -- and consistent nap times for the babe-- that won't happen this year.  And really, who has time to actually put the knitting away?  No, its best left out at easy reach, ready to pick up just where you left off when you've got free hands in that rare free moment...  </p><p>Is anyone else already feeling this crunch?  At least I am organized on <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/people/ChelseaB/queue">ravelry</a>...</p><p>+Chelsea</p></div>
