I am one happy lady right now; school is officially done for the Summer and I am one free little bird! I couldn’t be more excited for the traveling I will be doing in the upcoming months. In the meantime, I have my boyfriend’s college graduation tomorrow which is just insane to me! We graduated high school together four years ago… where does the time go? It’s definitely a weird feeling but I am so proud of him and can’t wait to start this next chapter together! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend, too! XOXO

It’s refreshing when you can take a vibrant piece from your wardrobe and style it in a way that makes it look new. As excited as I was when I first purchased this dress I had some lingering doubts about wearing it multiple times because of the color; it isn’t the most subtle of colors and definitely makes a statement on its own. I decided to try and tone it down by layering a crop top and cardigan to create a balanced look that wouldn’t be recognized by those who saw me in it from the first time I wore it.

It doesn’t take much for me to fall in love with a dress (or any clothes for that matter) but when a simple garment has unique little details I’m usually always smitten. This 1950s dress has just that: small things that make it all the more special. First, I love how soothing the lavender color is, second, the scalloped edges down the center alongside the buttons, and third, the adorable mini bow and over-sized collar. What more could a gal ask for in a dress (besides for the wind to stop going crazy)?

The city has been having some beautiful weather lately and I’ve been on the hunt for a few new pairs of skirts and shorts. The majority of my wardrobe consists of dresses (and lots of them) and I feel like I barely have any bottoms. I picked up these shorts the other day from Forever21 because not only were they cheap but I knew how versatile they would be throughout the Summer. I love the cut and wash of them and I don’t feel like they are too short to cause me anxiety!

I love a good fit n flare dress; they always emphasize all the right spots and make for the ultimate classic cut. You can also never go wrong with a navy striped dress and the way most people feel about black is what I feel towards navy: you can never own too much, it will always look good and be in style.  What’s great about this particular dress is that it’s abnormally comfortable; having a dress that looks as great as it feels is a rare occurrence so I’m always ecstatic when I come across one (especially when it comes with a twirl worthy bottom).

Well, I’m glad this week has come to an end! After selling at the flea market on Sunday, getting sick with a terrible sunburn, I’ve had the hardest time getting myself back on track and feeling ‘normal’. It’s probably a mix of things as I usually get this way towards the end of the school year (next week is my last week)! I have no major plans this weekend except for going to my boyfriend’s film (thesis for school) viewing  that was chosen to be a part of the film finals; I couldn’t be more proud of my sweet pea! I will also be celebrating Mother’s Day… sangria and delicious food will be involved! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend, too! XOXO

I wanted to share a few photos from the Golden Collective Sale last friday. It was such an amazing time and I had so much fun selling vintage alongside some of the most fashionable ladies here in San Francisco. The evening was a great turn out and we all sold a lot of great things! We are hoping we can do it again in the near future.

Some days call for a good pair of skinny jeans and a simple silk blouse. My outfits usually aren’t that easy but being that I’m in the middle of finals I have little energy to fuss around with my wardrobe. I love this light coat I snagged from one of my favorite vintage shops because it has just the right amount of elegance to dress a day outfit up. Also, with the right accessories you can step any outfit up a notch and I’ve been playing favorites with my hat – it really does make all the difference in the world.

There’s always that one color that looks good with almost anything and for me that color is mustard. I can’t seem to get sick of it regardless of what I pair it with: pastels, neons, neutrals, it goes with everything – and is seasonless! Even though it was close to 90 degrees out I was trying to cover up my severely burned arms from the flea market (the reason why I’ve been MIA) and thought that it was the perfect match over my teal polka dotted dress. Also, since I’m back to having dark brown hair (close to black right now — eek!), I wanted to emphasize it by balancing it out with an overall light color palette.

This week was another great one. I’m only three weeks away from being done with school for the Summer and I couldn’t be more happy! I’ve been getting all my vintage treasures together for tonight’s Golden Collective shopping event and I will also be selling at the flea market on Sunday with my internship, Thrifted & Modern – it will be such a good time! The weather is supposed to be amazing so I’m hoping to get a little color, too!
