Iran: Remains no gold for Asian basketball

The host team Korea and the power house Iran faces to the finals of 17th Incheon Asian Games 2014.

The score ended in an upside down game by 2 points in favor of Korea 79-77.

Forward T.J Moon scored a team high 19 points but misses the one important free throw in the dying seconds of the 4th quarter.

This gives a chance to Iran to even winning the game by a three pointer of Nikkhah Bahrami but misses. Luckily Hadadi got the rebound but failed to get a basket with two defenders challenging him.

Sadly, Iran remains zero gold in an Asian game. Korea on the other side tied the Philippines with 4 Golds in 2nd place behind the power house China.

"It means the world to win the Asian Games gold medal," said Korean coach Yoo Jae-Hak. "We were desperate to win. I can't describe how happy I am."

Nakulong ang mga tao sa isang mall kagabi sa General Santos City. Ayon sa report ay isinara ang naturang mall dahil sa insidente ng pamamaril.

Naganap ang pamamaril sa parking area nito at isang babae ang sugatan sa insidente.

Ayon sa report, isang owner type jeep na sasakyan ang pumasok sa parking area nito na may kasamang isang babae.

“Esquire Philippines and Summit Media condemn the unauthorized distribution of photographs of Ellen Adarna that were originally taken from a shoot the magazine had staged for its April 2014 edition. She had agreed to be featured in Esquire Philippines with the understanding that no nude photographs taken of her then would be published or disseminated. The recent circulation of such sensitive photos without her (or our) knowledge or consent is in blatant violation of her privacy, and her right to dignity. We share her outrage; we are deeply angry; we will not hesitate to take the appropriate legal action.

“The images in question, staged with photographer Jake Versoza, were never used in the magazine itself, and in most cases, were never even in the possession of the magazine. The images we did use from the shoot were treated to make sure any sensitive areas were artfully covered or obscured, as had been the agreement.”

“It is apparent as well to Esquire magazine that its own rights, as well as that of photographer Jake Versoza, have been infringed. We will take the proper measured action to protect its rights. Most importantly, we urge all not to participate in the dissemination of sensitive images that were not intended for public by the one person whose rights and dignity above all else’s should be respected at this time.”

The Philippines is now rank no. 31 who's plus three better than its rank 34th before the FIBA World Cup starts.

Nancy Binay: Senate Bill 2398: House Arrest Bill

Senator Nancy Binay submitted a bill at the Congress last September 8, 2014 named "Senate Bill 2398" or also known as the "House Bill Arrest".

The bill contained as "An Act allowing house arrest or confinement in places other than regular detention facility for detention prisoners".

Hmmm sounds familiar?

Rumors spread that this bill initiated by Senator Nancy is a preparation for his father-VP Jejomar Binay, his brother-Mayor Jun Binay case against the overpriced Makati Parking Building 2 that was very viral today which is the focus of the Senate.

Particularly Senators Cayetano at Trillanes noses on it and people are doubt by their true intentions of it. People also watched every hearing on its live coverage on televisions.

Senator Binay said that the bill was passed not for the case of the overpriced building and its future results.

"The recent death of an infant of a pregnant detention prisoner, including other detention prisoners with health or other special conditions, have generated interest in "house arrest", hospital arrest and other alternative ways of confinement of certain detention prisoners who by their situation and personal circumstances require a particular care or attention." Binay said.

We hope this bill was truly intended to the people who truly needs this.

Myanmar beating the Azkals in 2014 PCC Peace Cup Finals

Gilas and Azkals have in common. Aside for being a Philippine Team, they fought with heart. They fought with passionate. They fought as there's no tomorrow.

The Myanmar team beat the Philippine Azkals in the 2014 PCC Peace Cup at the Rizal Stadium tonight in the Finals match up.

The score ends in 3-2 in favor of the Myanmar in about 100+ minutes to end the game.

Azkals, the 2013 Peace Cup Champion was dethroned as they were unable to tie the game and force a shoot out.

Stephen Shrock did not play in Azkal. Palestine was the third place this year.

Still congratulations to the Azkals for being the contender and fighting for their crown. Till next Peace Cup guys.

We lost fare and square. Were still proud of you. Go Azkals! Like the Gilas team.
