There are many different types of disk cloning software out there on the market and most of them are paid ones. Having said that, they do let you try out their free and/or trial versions before deciding which one suits your needs. Paid software usually has a user-friendly interface and useful features for people to use and navigate easily especially for professional and enterprise versions. As for the free home or lite version, they have limitations, lesser featues and also are slower in speed as compared with that of the professional.

Alternatively, some people may like to use open-source disk cloning software that does not cost you a cent to use it. The good thing is that it is free and does not require you to pay for the upgraded versions. The bad thing is that open-source disk cloning software might not be easy to use especially for non-tech savvy people.

Anyway, it is not a hard decision to make. It all depends on what you want and what you need. If you want to use an easy to operate software and willing to pay for the price, go for the paid disk cloning software. If you have the need to clone your HDD or SSD drive but have a tight budget, just go the path to download an open-source software to clone your computer.

My Favourites :

I often hear my friends and colleagues said that Year 2009 is really a not-so-good if not a bad year for most people. I’m very sure they were referring to how the bad performance of the global economy has affected the people nationwide as well as worldwide.

Honestly, I agree with them because the global economic downturn has caused many companies to down side their operations and manpower significantly. Most of them were having a short workweek and forcing the employees to clear annual leaves so as to reduce cost. They have also freezed the wage increment and some even exercised a pay cut to their employees’ salaries.

The first half of Year 2009 was indeed a terrible phase of the year for most people. Fortunately, things turn better in the second half of this year. The global economy is technically out of recession and many companies have started to hire people. Gradually, we are seeing a ray of light coming out from the other side of the tunnel. Thank Goodness!

Personally, I find that Year 2009 is generally a good year for me. I build up more confident in myself and stay firm with my belief. I pick up new skills and practise what I learn. I gave training to my co-workers and did presentation to visitors.

I travelled to Thailand for work assignment and to Sabah (Malaysia) for leisure. These places have very nice people, building, food and environment. I’m happy that I got the chance to visit Thailand and Sabah in October and November respectively.

So, on the whole, I find that Year 2009 might not be a good year for most of the people but it’s definitely a fruitful one for me in terms of work and personal matters. Thanks and Good Bye to 2009.

Back in 1997, there were seven countries, including Singapore, came together to sign a declaration for the WORLD KINDNESS MOVEMENT. Its mission is to inspire individuals towards greater kindness. Its aim is to inpsire spontaneous acts of kindness to make life more pleasant for everybody.

It is important to look beyond the boundaries of gender, race and creed. The one common thing that bonds human beings to live together in peace is KINDNESS. So, please be kind to your family, friends and yourself.

Besides World Kindness Day, today is also a variable bonus payout day for my company. Like I had mentioned in my earlier Blog posts, Friday the 13th is a lucky day in my eyes. Today is a special and good day, let us treasure Friday the 13th and be kind to each other.

My Favourites :

“This Is It” movie is actually a compilation of rehearsals, interviews and backstage footage of Michael Jackson as he prepared for his series of sold-out shows in London. But too bad, he passed away suddenly just a few days before the concert would take place.

Michael Jackson was full of energy and flushed with enthusiasm throughout the rehearsals. Although he was thin, Michael Jackson looked fit and healthy whether or not he was on or off stage. It’s definitely hard to imagine such a healthy-looking person would die suddenly. Life is really unpredictable!

You can tell that Michael Jackson was very professional and serious about his performance. He knew his songs and dance steps very well. He also got himself involved in a lot of things such as telling the music director when to slow down with his music, telling the electric guitarist when to shine her skill, telling his co-singer when to look towards the audience and so on.

Michael Jackson was a perfectionist and he was in control of the rehearsals to make sure that everybody know what they were supposed to do in order to make the concert a success. However, Michael Jackson never knew that this was a tour he never got to begin.

After seeing the movie, I must say Michael Jackson was a real superstar, a talented artiste and a borned performer. He was the real King of POP of our time.

I often feel that Michael Jackson had a kind look in his face and I believe he was a kind-hearted person in real life despite all those negative news that were against him during his prime. Anyway, everything is history. This Is It.

My Favourites :

Just like last year, my family and I had made a booking at the Ellenborough Market Cafe of Swissotel Merchant Court hotel a few days ago. We opted for the lunch buffet last year. However, Ellenborough Market Cafe is offering dinner buffet only this time around.

We arrived at the Swissotel Merchant Court hotel 15 minutes before the crab buffet started at 6:30pm yesterday and the cafe was already packed with diners.

Crab Buffet :

The spread of food is just like last year and it includes Chilli Crab, Indian Curry Crab, Tom Yam Crab, Sri Lankan Black Pepper Crab, Nonya Crab Popiah, Abalone Porridge, Shark Fin Soup, Soya Sauce Crayfish, Flower Crab and so on. It also includes the yummy yummy Durian Pengat.

Besides enjoying the good food, it makes us even happier is that HSBC credit card holder is entitled to enjoy the offer of “one dines for free with every three paying adult diners”. So nice
