Little Rippys is an awesome spot near Lake Martin, especially if you’re exploring the charming downtown Eclectic, Alabama, area. This is a new restaurant that I highly recommend. It offers delicious, freshly made sandwiches and so much more.

It can be hard sometimes to find a good restaurant open on a Tuesday during the off-season at Lake Martin, Little Rippys is a great option for a tasty meal when other restaurants might be closed.

I just tried Little Rippys for the first time recently, and I enjoyed their pork and cheddar panini paired with Wickles Pickles. In addition to sandwiches, they also offer Blue Bell ice cream and a variety of gifts inside the shop. This makes it a great destination for both food and shopping.

Conveniently located on Highway 63, right across from the historic Strickland’s Cloth Barn, it’s easy to find and well worth the visit. If you are coming south from Lake Martin or the Kowaliga area, that’s where it is located.

The Willows Waterfront Neighborhood

The Willows is a gated waterfront neighborhood on the west side of Lake Martin in Alexander City, Alabama. As you might have guessed from the name, it’s close to other subdivisions such as Willow Point, Glynmere, and Willow Glynn. 

The Willows, owned by Russell Lands, is similar to other neighborhoods owned by them. Namely, they have an architectural review committee that you go through. Also, no covered boat docks are allowed. 

The Willows is a gated community with a coded entry way to get in. It is also one of the newer neighborhoods Russell Lands has done.

By the way, if you’re curious about homes and lots for sale inside The Willows, I have a page dedicated to that. Visit the “Neighborhoods” page, scroll down to The Willows, and that’s a page that’s constantly updated multiple times a day with homes and lots for sale.

So if you’re considering neighborhoods around Lake Martin, you might wonder what The Willows is a good fit for. I’d say a lot of different types of folks love this neighborhood. Maybe some want to be close to Willow Point Country Club and golf course. If you like a key coded gated entry or an architectural review standard style, then The Willows is certainly one of the nicest neighborhoods on Lake Martin. 

If you want to be generally on the west side of the lake near Russell Crossroads, then this is a great neighborhood for that. Russell Crossroads includes great spots such as Springhouse, Fanny’s, and Catherine’s Market. It is also close to the other Russell Lands neighborhoods such as Windermere and Windover.

Also, it’s a ten minute drive max to the Publix in Alex City and the strip on Highway 280. By water, it’s close to The Landing at Parker Creek, Kowaliga Bay, and the Kowaliga Restaurant. You can check out the menus for these restaurants and more on my free Lake Martin Voice App.

In-Water Boat Show at The Ridge on Lake Martin

Boating season is upon us, and there is an event you need to check out if you live near Lake Martin! The Russell Marine In-Water Boat Show at The Ridge on Lake Martin will take place April 24th through 26th at The Ridge Marina. Here, you will be able to see and demo new boat models from 9 AM until 5 PM on Friday and Saturday and 9 AM to 4 PM on Sunday. Definitely make sure to attend this awesome event if you are looking for that perfect boat for Lake Martin!

At the In-Water Boat Show you will be able to see many different kinds of boats. There will be boats from Godfrey Pontoon, Nautique, Sea Ray, Key West, and many more. Mark your calendars so that you don’t miss out on this boat show!

451 Hagan Road: Waterfront Home with Kowaliga Bay Views

It’s also just a short boat ride to Kowaliga Restaurant and Kowaliga Marina, which means dinner, fuel, or other neccesities are always close by. That’s the kind of convenience that makes 451 Hagan Road so great.

A Layout That Keeps the Water in View

The house itself is approximately 2,876 square feet with 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. It’s laid out the way a lake house should be. 451 Hagan Road is built around the idea that you’re here to spend time together and keep the water in view. Big windows, open living spaces, as well as room for everybody to relax after a long day outside.

But the part you’ll remember is the deck.

This is the perfect place to sit, relax, and take in the view. If you’re here on the Fourth of July, then you don’t even have to leave. You’ve got a front row seat to the fireworks at The AMP, right across the water.

The Landing Restaurants Now Open

Great news for Lake Martin locals and visitors, The Landing Restaurants are now open for the season! If you know Lake Martin, then you have probably heard of The Landing at Parker Creek and The Landing at Harbor Pointe. These restaurants are popular on the lake, and it’s easy to see why.

The food options here are some of the best on the lake. If you haven’t been yet, then don’t worry because they are now open for the 2026 season.

The Landing at Parker Creek

The Parker Creek location celebrated 10 years of being open on Lake Martin last year. With tons of incredible food items such as sushi and filet sliders as well as great drinks at the bar like their famous Bushwacker, you can’t go wrong with what you choose.

There is a fun beach area at this location where you and the kids can swim. Also, make sure to check out the fun games like cornhole. Their hours are Thursday 4PM-8PM, Friday and Saturday 11AM-8PM, and Sunday 11AM-4PM.

The Landing at Harbor Pointe

The Landing at Harbor Pointe in Dadeville, AL, has been open for two years now. It has been a great addition to the StillWaters side of the lake. The food is the same great food we know from the Parker Creek location. They also have a great area with a separate bar and grill, a shaded seating area, and a lot of parking space for boats.

If you are in the Dadeville area of the lake, I definitely recommend checking out this location as well. Just like The Landing at Parker Creek, the Harbor Pointe location has a great menu with rotating specials each week.

Both locations have live music events, so make sure to go by for great food, drinks, and music this season on Lake Martin.

Lake Martin Dragon Boat Festival

Spring on Lake Martin is always something special, but it reaches a whole new level when the sound of drums echoes across the water. On Saturday, April 18, 2026, the shores will come alive for the Lake Martin Dragon Boat Festival, an exciting and colorful event. This event will bring competition, community, and celebration in a way that perfectly reflects life at Lake Martin.

A Day of Racing and Celebration

The Dragon Boat Festival is a sight to see. Teams from all around gather at the lake, each ready to paddle in sync and race for victory. The long, brightly painted dragon boats glide through the water to the steady rhythm of the drum, while crowds cheer from the shoreline.

It’s a thrilling combination of speed, teamwork, as well as tradition that creates an atmosphere filled with energy and excitement. Even if you are not racing, the festival is full of reasons to come and enjoy the day. There will be live music, great food, and plenty of lakeside fun.

Spring Fling at StillWaters Golf

Spring at Lake Martin is almost upon us, and one of the best ways to celebrate the new season is to attend the Spring Fling at StillWaters Golf.

Taking place in April, this event is all about enjoying warmer days, getting outside, and spending time with friends and neighbors in one of the most scenic settings on the lake.

A Spring Day at StillWaters

StillWaters Golf provides a beautiful backdrop for a spring gathering. With green fairways, open skies, and views that remind you why spring on Lake Martin is so special.

The Spring Fling will be held on April 17th from 5 PM to 8 PM. This is the 2nd annual event at Stillwaters Golf. It is a spring-inspired wine expo that is put on through the partnership of Prime Steakhouse and Lucky Flight Bottle Shoppe.

You will be able to enjoy tastings from over 30 wines, try great food from Prime Steakhouse, and explore unique shopping experiences. Tickets are $100 per person, with an exclusive VIP option available this year. To get your tickets, make sure to stop by Lucky Flight Bottle Shoppe.

StillWaters

Like I said, this event will be taking place within the StillWaters community at the golf club. This neighborhood features waterfront homes and lots for sale in one of the largest communities located on the east side of Lake Martin.

Lucky Flight Bottle Shoppe

This is a wine shop that is located on the east side of Lake Martin in Dadeville, AL. Situated in a shopping center on Highway 49, between the Blue Creek Bridge and County Road 34, it is a convenient stop for both locals and visitors.

The shop not only sells wine in the bottle, but they also offer by the sip wine tasting. When you walk in, you’ll receive a card that you can use to sample wine by the ounce, allowing you to taste a variety of wines without committing to a full glass or bottle.

Boating Safety Course at The Ridge

Looking to learn more about boating safety on Lake Martin Alabama? Then, make sure to mark your calendars for the Boating Safety Course at The Ridge on April 11! This event is the perfect opportunity to learn more about the rules and regulations around the lake. You will also have the opportunity to get your boating license!

The Ridge

The Ridge Marina is located on the Alexander City side of Lake Martin. The marina provides a lot of your boating essentials as well as boat storage. They are always holding great classes that can really benefit you if you are a first time boater.

The Ridge neighborhood is a huge, high-end waterfront development with homes and lots for sale in the middle of Lake Martin. It has all kinds of amenities like sidewalks, a clubhouse and pool, beach area, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, hiking trails, as well as close access to the Ridge Marina.

Chuck’s Reopening on Lake Martin

Get ready for another season of great food on the lake! Chuck’s in Dadeville, Alabama, is a great restaurant that many locals and visitors make sure to visit every season. If you’re planning a vacation to the lake soon, then great news! Chuck’s is reopening on Lake Martin April 11th!

Their opening hours will start off 11 AM to 8 PM on Saturdays and 11 AM to 6 PM on Sundays. Their Ship Store will also be open Friday through Sunday from 9 AM to 6 PM. Further into the season, Chuck’s will add more hours during the week.

With a great menu with items such as pizza and sandwiches, you can’t go wrong with what you choose.
