For my birthday last April, I treated one of my barkadas to an interesting little place in Pasig. This group of mine always gets together for one of our birthdays, usually at some new and interesting place. My specific interest in this place was the fact that they are known for FONDUE. We have been talking about doing fondue for several years and never really got around to it. When I came across this place while reading some Foodie blog posts, I knew this has got to be the resto to treat for my birthday.

People go on lakwatsas for various reasons. Once it a while, it isn’t about you. Sometimes its about sharing an experience with a friend. For around a week, Benj Espina and I had been chatting on Facebook bringing Winston Almendras (aka Batang Yagit) Scuba Diving. I had been hearing about this from both of them for months, I thought it would make for an awesome adventure.

My experience at Sango was MEH! For the cost of a burger 3x that of the ever sacred Quarter Pounder. I would rather eat in a roadside Burger Machine which has more flavor than at Sango ever again.

Who doesn’t love Bulalo? Well, unless you are vegan or a health food nut, bulalo is one of those local delicacies which brings your stomach straight to heaven (and you if you eat too much of it, you will go to heaven sooner than expected).

Laiya, Batangas is a great beach just 2.5 hours south of Manila. Clear water, calm waters. great beach. It's definitely a peaceful alternative to Boracay. That said, aside from the beach... it lacks Boracay's nightlife and variety of activities.

One of the “must-see” items on my bucket list has been to see Easter Island located 2,180 miles (3,510 kilometers) west of the coast of Chile in South America and is the south easternmost point of the Polynesian Triangle.
