I love Pinterest! I feel that I learn a lot and get more inspired to try new things through this site. I've tried a lot of the recipes that I've pinned and they all turned out to be great! I also see and read on photography through the site. And of course, I get to grab tons of homeschool freebies like free ebooks and downloads. And I get to learn new crafts and so many other things.. I'm thankful for Pinterest and somehow this diverts me from Facebook which I feel is a very good thing!! :)

The Broken Printer

I have a lot of things that I needed to print for my kids' homeschool, but unfortunately there's something wrong with our printer. I wonder how much it would cost if we have all these materials printed outside. Maybe I should also check online printing services that like those printing brochures online. Oh, I just hope our printer will be fixed soon so, it will be easier for us to print all these homeschool materials.

This is my favorite song for the week. I've heard this a few times in KLOVE but since our music was always at the background I never get to 'listen' to the lyrics of the song. It was only the other day when I saw the video for the first time and truly got to 'listen' to the song. Oh, the song touched my heart! First it reminded me of my father who passed away 9 years ago and second, the song truly encourages me to make most of life with the things that are most important since life slips on by so fast. Family Worship

Once a month, our family just stay home on Sundays and worship on our own. As much as I enjoy going to the Thai local service, I also love our time of worship as a family. We all have our own roles during our family sunday service. Though I'm not a very good guitar player but I instantly become one. I really make sure that I tune the guitar online to make sure I get the right tune. I do wish we have a chromatic tuner from musicians friend , but I'm not ready for that yet. Anyways, back to out family worship we take turns leading worship. Then, we take take turns giving our testimonies and our learnings for the past weeks. This is my favorite part, I get to hear more from the kids. Even if I have daily devotions with the kids and get to hear them pray and thank God, but I never get enough of this stuff! It's truly a joy to hear from the kids. Then, either Hubby or I exhort from the word of God. This is our way of truly discipling our kids and letting them learn God's word. So, that's what happens during our once a month, family Sunday Worship. :)

5 More Days till Mother's Day

Mother's Day is coming in a few days time. It's funny that sometimes I look forward for special days like these because I know that I'll be given and treat and such. I know it might be a bit selfish of me to think like this, but who doesn't want to be pampered occasionally? :) But to even things out, I also think of my own mom and how to honor her on this special day. It's actually sad, that I don't get to celebrate Mother's day with her since we're far away but I'm just counting my blessing in which I could celebrate it with my kids and Hubby. So, what's special for mother's day for me? I don't know yet. But I have to start planning for father's day next month. I will have to think of a fathers day gift like briefcase for men or maybe something simpler (and cheaper?) than that. :)

Our Songkran Holiday

The Songkran holidays has just passed. This is the famous Thai holiday when they celebrate the Thai New Year by splashing water to each other. They say it's symbolizing spreading blessings to other people.

We originally didn't plan to go out and join the water festival this year. We were just lazing around the house on that saturday morning, when our friends came and invited us to go with them and join the Songkran festivities at the city center. Our kids got excited and true enough we really had so much fun. Our kids brought their big water guns and we rode the motorbike to the city. Before we arrived the city center, we were already wet from the water splashed on us from the people waiting to 'attack' from the roadside. At the city center, they put a temporary water fountain with colorful water, had some water activities and other stuff. It was really exciting!

Preparing for the Move

As I might have mentioned in my past posts, our family is going to move back to Hubby's hometown. We don't have a specific date on our move yet but we are already doing a bit of preparation. Currently, Hubby's there for an errand but at the same time he will also try to prepare the house for our move. I'm sure he's not going to reidsupply.com for fasteners or the hardware shop for supplies since he will only be staying there for a couple of days but at least our room can be cleaned and ready for repaint or whatever needs to be done.

My Defective Mini Note

This is my Hp mini. It has been 'faithfully' serving me for 4 years now but it already has some problems. Aside from it needs a computer tune up, the biggest problem that I have is that the whole keyboard doesn't work anymore. I always have to use a USB keyboard just for me to type properly. But even then, this rubberized keyboard is a bit difficult to use since it's too soft and I will end up typing like thhhiisss..So, I have to bevery slow in typing. That's why I don't use this when writing blog posts because it'll really take a lot of my time and patience. But still, I'm thankful that at least it's still surviving and I can use it for surfing the net and doing light 'work'.

If you're parent, especially a mom, I highly recommend to watch this short clip. It's a video of Katrina Kenison reading a chapter from her book, The Gift of an Ordinary Day. I cried at the end of the video. As a stay-at-home and homeschooling mom, sometimes I look forward for special days and 'dread' on the ordinary days. But watching this video reminds me to embrace the ordinary days of motherhood as well since times with our kids are truly special since they grow so fast and we can't turn back time.

DIY Shop

I remember we used to go to one DIY shop in our city called Handyman and my father could just spend hours and hours in that shop. I also enjoyed looking around but I just couldn't a lot of time looking at all those tools and other air compressor deals. But it has always been an 'educational' experience going there since I get to find out all those tools that I thought never existed.

I've been seeing photos of some colorful boxes in one of my relative's Facebook. I actually didn't know what they were until I saw another site that has almost the same photo. I think that gadget is what they call as a Loop station. One can actually buy boss loop stations at any music shops. Oh, there are just so many gadgets and gizmos that I don't know about.

It has truly been awhile since I've updated my blogs. So, what's keeping me busy these days? Nothing much really except the daily routine of homeschool and housechores. I'm actually supposed to be busy sorting and packing our stuff for our big move, but since we don't have an exact date for the move yet, I kinda have a reason to procrastinate.

But I know I will start to get busy in a few weeks time, aside from the actual packing of our things, as I've also taken up a few responsibilities this month and the next month. Oh, writing about this now somehow makes me come to my senses that I should stop procrastinating and start doing the things I'm supposed to do.

I can't imagine a day without music. I must admit that listening to music has already become a part of my day. I turn on the computer and listen to a Christian music station online before I do my devotion and then start my daily routine with breakfast, homeschool and the like. I'm not really a musically inclined person as I don't even know what's a fender select stratocaster hss , but all I know is that contemporary Christian music has a way of uplifting me and making me go through my day with a smile and a song.

Ome Bake House is one of my favorite restuarants here in the city. Aside from the fact that I love their omelette here, they also have my favorite cakes and drinks. And you know what's the best thing about this bake house? They're not expensive unlike from other bake house. They're shop is also small and cozy and the owners and staff are very friendly. :)

Picking Up the Guitar

It's been awhile since I picked up the guitar and played. I get frustrated whenever I play the guitar because my strumming is still bad and I'm still having a hard time with Bm and all the sharp and flat chords. I think I just need a few lessons from the 'experts' learn some easy strumming patterns and some tips on all the difficult chords. I've been learning guitar on my own for awhile now without enough progress, so it's about time to call in the experts. Who knows, someday I might finally be good with it and I then I get to buy my own white guitar with nicely designed guitar straps.

A Fun-filled Week

Last week, we had our family from Malaysia come over for a visit. It was truly a fun-filled week especially for my kids who enjoyed the company of their 'Attais' ( Aunties). Since they haven't been around much in Hat Yai yet, since their previous visits has been short and busy, this time we brought them to the Songkhla Zoo, Floating Market, Lantern Festival and the Night Bazaars.

Less Hair Fall

When I was in the Philippines a few months ago, I noticed that I had excessive hair fall. I was quite alarmed by the amount of hair I sweep everyday from the floor and even thought of going to a hair doctor. I'm known to have the thickest hair in the family but I was scared that with the constant hair fall I might end up getting bald. lol!

But then, a few weeks after arriving here in Thailand, I noticed a change and I had much less hair fall. I even haven't started treated my hair yet. Even though I was already looking at all the magick botanicals but never applied anything yet. I don't know what caused my excessive hair fall in the Philippines. It must be the water or the food I was eating. I don't know.. I guess that will remain to be a mystery.. :)

Happy at Smaland

I don't think our kids will ever outgrow playrooms, playpens and playgrounds. They just love to play and pour out their energy. So, they were so happy when we left them to play for an hour at Smaland, Ikea's playroom. It's my kids' first time to go inside the Smaland and they were so amazed at giant shoes and basket that they saw. Since this is Ikea, they are surely innovative and creative in their design just like Boaz Saragossi .

I so love window shopping at Ikea. If we get to visit Ikea next time, I will make sure to save some money so I could buy a few things. I'm sure kids will be more than happy to stay at Smaland a bit longer too.

Bench Baby Cologne

I've always like the Bench Baby Cologne for my kids. Everytime I go back home to the Philippines or family members come to visit us here, I always make sure that I get my cologne supply. But sad to say, I wasn't able to buy my supply from my last visit. And the cologne that we have now is almost finished. I better look for another alternate baby cologne for my kids because it will surely take several months before someone comes over from our place. I'm not sure whether I can find those fragrance oils from thefragranceshop.com but I better give it a try.

Bible Bearer and Flower Girl

Meet my son and his cousin. They were part of the entourage for my niece's wedding last month. I just love their attire during the wedding. It's actually the first time for my son to wear a suit. Oh, I can't help but smile whenever I see this photo. They both look so cute holding hands together.. precious!

What Happened to our Li'l One

It started with a cough and then fever for a few days. After taking antibiotic, his fever was gone but his cough persisted. At first he wasn't coughing a lot but as the days wore on, his cough becomes harder and more frequent. So it was time for a doctor's check up.

That was then we only knew that our son has asthma and he had to take 4 different kinds of medicine and has to use the nebulizer for him to be relieved of his cough. Thankfully after 2 days of medicine, he felt better and is now recovering well. Thank God!

Though we're not sure whether it's a good idea to get iq air healthpro plus or not, but we found that it would be best for my son to stay away from dusty places and other stuff that might trigger his asthma.
